Alhaithams POV
After spending the whole night just celebrating our engagement Kaveh started to show signs of extreme intoxication so I decided it was time to head back home.
Collei was also starting to doze off in her seat, so we said our goodbyes and each of us headed to their homes.
After entering our house we didn't bother to take more than our shoes off and just threw ourselves onto my bed, since it's slightly bigger.
We both looked at each other and although Kaveh probably wasn't really aware of anything at the moment, he smiled at me and I smiled back.
I lovingly carressed his cheek, also playing with the hair infront of his face.
Archons, was he pretty and I had just proposed!
The moonlight was shining directly to the ring and just seeing it glowing clasped around his ringfinger started making me feel emotional again.
Soon I'd be calling him my husband!
As Kaveh began to doze off, he leaned into my touch and murmured: "I love you" before losing the battle against his tiredness.
"I love you too, Kaveh," I whispered back, before closing my eyes and drifting off to sleep too.

"So, you'll be wearing a black suit and I'll wear a white one, right?" Kaveh asked as we were looking through wedding magazines.
It had been a week since the proposal and now Kaveh and I were starting to plan everything.
He had had the good idea of keeping the colour of the suits slightly traditional by deciding his would be white and mine black which was actually an extraodinary idea.
We wouldn't look so monotonous and people would be able to distinguish us better. Also, Kaveh is very feminine and women usually wear white dresses and finally, Kaveh wearing white is basically his signature look and wearing black mine.
We only needed to order the custom suits and pick out the decorations and the location
I had also another surprise in storage that I would reveal at the end of the preparations.
This evening Tighnari and Cyno would come over to help us to choose good decorations and the guests. Also, Kaveh and I had decided to make them the best men, together with Collei being the flower girl.
When the three arrived we got straight to work.
Collei told us she had a friend in Mondstadt, Amber, and that she'd surely want to come and even join her on being the flower girl, which was a great idea.
Kaveh also wanted to invite Albedo, since he's a huge friend of Cyno. Albedo would then probably take his boyfriend Kaeya and his little 'sister' Klee with him. Also, knowing that Klee would come, Jean would want to keep an eye on her and then Lisa would go with Jean, her girlfriend.
After listed all of our connections with the people all around Teyvat we had some 'main guests' we wanted to invite.
Albedo, who we'd ask to draw a painting of the wedding. (He'd come with Kaeya, Klee, Jean and Lisa)
Amber, as the flower girl with Collei.
Zhongli's supposed to be a walking encyclopaedia, so we'd ask him to marry us and Yanfei to do the paperwork.
Xiangling is known to be a great chef and since the news of our upcoming wedding spread like wildfire she offered herself to cook along with Xinyan, who would take over the music.
It was surprising how many new people we met and how nice everyone was.
Dehya is also a good friend of us and she asked if Beidou, a pirate from Liyue could come with her fianceé Ningguang. The more the merrier.
And those were only a small part of all our guests.
We spent the next few days writing and posting individual letters to each guest, hoping for a quick response. In the end, they were all able to come.
The people in Mondstadt even suggested to get married in Mondstadts Cathedral and from there we would have a straight way through the ocean to get to Fontaine, where we wanted to spend our honeymoon.
The suits were also done after a few weeks of ordering them, so now that everything was ready it was time to reveal my surprise...
"Kaveh...?"
"Mhm?"
"During the last few weeks of planning I had this idea and decided to actually make it happen... What I'm trying to say is that even though life has gotten better for you, I know there's still one thing in the back of your mind that you hope will happen and well... With Tighnari's help I managed to find out where your mother is currently staying in Fontaine and wrote to her explaining our situation and inviting her to come to the wedding and even walk you down the aisle, like in traditional weddings and she accepted...".
The look on Kavehs face was priceless.
"Y-you did not" but when he saw that my expression didn't change and that I was serious he just smiled and threw himself onto me, hugging me tightly.
Soon I could hear faint sobs coming from him.
"Y-your absolutely a-amazing, I-I don't deserve you!" He cried into my shoulder.
I smiled and gently rubbed his back, letting him sort out his feelings and thoughts.
The disbelief and joy on Kavehs face was priceless as he made me confirm it over and over, still thinking it's a joke. I even had to show him his mothers reply until he finally fully believed me...
Now we just had to wait for the wedding...
Kavehs POV
I still coudn't fully take in the fact that I was going to be married to Alhaitham in a few minutes from now.
There I was, at the beginning of the aisle, in Mondstadt, ready to go to the altar, accompanied by my mother.
Simply Alhaitham having fixed my relationship with my mother proved how perfect he was.
Then the music started playing and I could feel my mother softly squeezing my arm in excitement and also to bring me back from my thoughts.
Collei and Amber had already started to walk infront of me, scattering the petals and Alhaitham was just down the aile, impatiently waiting for me.
I took my first step, then the second, the third and so on...
While I came closer to where Alhaitham was waiting I could see all of the people gathered around us.
A lot of familiar faces were turned to me, their eyes sparkling, a few of them even tearing up at the sight of me.
Then I finally had the courage to look straight infront of me and I met Alhaithams eyes.
When my ruby coloured met with his teal ones all of the emotions I had been feeling, the excitement, the nervousness, the joy bubbled up and as a result I instantly teared up. I could also see that Alhaitham was also being extra emotional.
Just some more steps...
And then finally I was walking up the small stairs up to the altar.
Zhongli hadn't even started talking and I was already starting to cry.
He cleaned his throat and began to talk:
"Dear guests, we gather here today to celebrate the union of Kaveh and Alhaitham, whose journey together has been marked by friendship, conflicts, and ultimately deep love.
Today, as they stand before each other, scars of the past serve as reminders of the trials they've overcome, but they do not define their future. In the embrace of love, wounds heal, and joy abounds.
So now it's time to ask the questions...
Alhaitham, do you want to take Kaveh as your husband, to love and cherish, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, for as long as you both shall live?"
He smiled at me with the sweetest and most sincere look on his face.
"I do"
At this point I couldn't hold back the tears any longer and just started to cry with joy.
Zhongli turned to me.
"Kaveh, do you want to take Alhaitham as your husband, to love and cherish, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, for as long as you both shall live aswell?
I had waited for this moment my whole life.
"I do," I replied confidently, but on the inside I felt like my heart was about to burst out of my chest.
"With the blessing of all present, I now pronounce you husband and husband, you may seal your commitment with a kiss"
Finally those words were said, we inched closer and Alhaitham put his hand on my cheek we both smiled at eachother and closed the space between us, now as husband and husband...
When we kissed the whole world just faded.
I could hear the crowd cheer but it was a muffled sound.
Right now it was just Alhaitham and me.
No one else.
He gently put his hand behind my head, deepening the kiss.
It was so addicting I didn't wanted to separate just yet.
After some while we ran out of breath and started breaking the kiss, the crowd slowly getting louder and louder.
Once we broke apart we looked at eachother, breathing heavily from the kiss and the emotions we were feeling.
Alahaitham, then, pulled me in for another, this time shorter, kiss.
The crowd went crazy again and once we separated again, Alhaitham gently wiped my tears away with his thumb and whispered.
"You've just made me the happiest husband on earth" and took my hand, ready to now celebrate with the rest.
Authors Note:
(Not proofread bc it's late) (for me)
This chapter might have been a little chaotic at the beggining...
I've never planned a wedding and the last time I went to one I was like 4 so I don't remember much of how it works.
I tried connecting the characters in some way or other just to make the wedding less boring and use it as an excuse to add ships✨✨
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to connect the Inazuma and Fontaine characters, but that would have been too much.
Hope it makes sense and that you enjoyed!
Thanks for reading!
