Chapter 10

Kavehs POV

"Are you making soup again?!" Alhaitham asked as he entered the kitchen. He hugged me from behind and made a pout, something I had never seen on him.

"Come on, 'haitham! We have to celebrate that I recovered and why not do that with my favourite food and some alcohol?~"

One and a half months have passed since the accident. My body has fully recovered, only having left a deep scar to remind me of the accident.

Alhaitham sighed "I'll let it be this time. But only because you're right. We have to celebrate your recovery. Also, the scar looks really sexy on you~" his lips got closer to my neck, his hot breath hitting my soft spot.

"Not now, Alhaitham!" I giggled, slightly flushed, "My body surely won't handle that much"

"Awww~ you're a killjoy..." he separated from me, his hand sliding over my waist. God, I love when he does that. It sends warm shivers down my body.

Today was actually a really good day since I had finally recovered from my bad injury and I'd go and pay Dori the remaining money I had earned from the recent project.

I'd finally be free from all the debts.

Cyno also had the wonderful idea to celebrate it, although I think he said that just to have an excuse to show his new TGC cards and beat us all.

So, after having lunch (Alhaitham even made the efford and tried my soup) I got ready to pay Dori in person.

I was fixing my hair in the mirror when Alhaitham knocked on the door and came in.

"You're about to go, right?"

I nodded and put on my last hairclip, now being done and ready to go.

He then grabbed me by my waist, spun me around so that I faced him and whispered: "You know I'm extremely proud of you, right?"

His sudden action made me blush and giggle.

I kissed him and he kissed me back.

Once we broke apart Alhaitham told me some encouraging words and I left to finally pay Dori back.

Alhaithams POV 

Archons, every time I'm around Kaveh there is this 'thing' that won't leave my mind.

This 'idea' tormented my dreams and distracted me from work...

I had been debating about it these past weeks, not knowing whether it could be the best thing to do or whether it would ruin it all...

I had been thinking of proposing to Kaveh.

I knew it was too early and he just recovered from what could have been his death, but at the same time I couldn't see myself with anyone else.

Kaveh was the one I thought about when I thought about my future.

He was the one I wanted to see at the altar, in a white suit, saying 'I do'.

Just the thought of it made me blush and I just knew it's the right thing to do.

So now I was just an overthinking mess, hoping Kaveh wouldn't notice anything about my inner conflict.

These past few days we had been planning on making a small party with our closest friends to celebrate the construction of the school and how successful it had been.

Kaveh had now even more than enough to pay (that bitch), Dori, who had made him suffer in debt for so long.

That's why I was planning to propose to him at the party.

I already had told Tighnari about it and he was more than happy to help to make the proposal work. I only had to confirm that I would do it and he would include Cyno and Collei in the plan.

It was going to be perfect.

That day Kaveh came back early and inmidiately told me excited that he had found a good location for the party.

Basically, Dori had offered the palace of Alcazarzarai as a possible location, since Kaveh built it and she was feeling extra nice because Kaveh paid his debts.

So now we finally had everything planned and we decided to celebrate the next friday, which was almost a week away. I had little time, but with the help of Tighnari, Cyno and Collei we managed to come up with the perfect plan and I found the perfect ring for Kaveh.

"I'm going to observe the sunset for a while..." Kaveh said as he stood up and walked up to one of the balconies that faced the sunset. I looked at the three and they nodded back.

Now was the perfect moment.

I felt inside of my pocket making sure that the box with the ring was still there and the familiar shape of the box brushed against my fingers.

Good, everything was going according to plan.

Collei let out a squeal of excitement and Tighnari quickly covered her mouth.

This made me chuckle to myself as I followed Kaveh, the other three hiding behind a bush to be able to witness this.

And then there he was, looking out to the vast land of Sumeru, the orange sun, making his hair look golden, some of his strands dancing in the wind.

I couldn't have asked for a better moment.

I reached into my pocket and took a deep breath.

"...Kaveh?" I asked for his attention and as he turned around I knelt down and took out the box.

Kavehs POV

"...A-alhaitham? W-what are you doing?"

There was no way. I'm dreaming, I have to be.

"Kaveh..." Alhaitham started and by just hearing the tone in his voice I could imagine how he would continue and what he was about to ask me.

I started to tear up instantly.

Was he actually going to do it?

Was he actually going to ask it?!

"I know we started off on the wrong foot, the thesis at the Akademiya only driving us further apart, but I've never regretted one single day you've been by my side. You've been the only one really understanding me and making me smile everyday. We have endured many problems together and you've been my biggest support in life. That's why I've come to the conclusion that you're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. So, Kaveh..."

I shook my head in disbelief as the first tears of joy started rolling down my cheeks.

He was going to ask it.

"...would you like to marry me?" he opened the box to reveal the most beautiful ring I had ever seen in my life. It was golden, decorated with small rubies that matched my eye colour.

I clasped my hands over my mouth just speechless. There was so much going in my head right now.

Why me?

Did I really mean that much to him?

Did he really think I was the one?

I, Kaveh, a stupid, gullible, architect, am the one for him?

When I saw him there, on his knees in front of me, his eyes just radiating pure love and affection, I forgot all of my doubts.

I indeed was the one...

"Yes" I practically screamed and he inmidiately stood up and hugged me.

I had started to cry incontrollably and seeing me crying he also started to tear up a bit.

"Archons... I had been so anxious about this. I love you so much Kaveh" and then he kissed me. 

This kiss was completely different. There were so many emotions going on, so many words that were left unspoken and yet basically screamed out loud.

Finally, we broke apart and Alhaitham carefully took my hand to put the ring on my finger.

It fit like a glove and tears built up again.

Seeing this, Alhaitham just kissed me again and in the heat of the moment, he picked me up and turned me around, smiling against my lips, our tears blending together.

Then Tighnari, Cyno and Collei appeared out of nowhere and started cheering around us and congratulating us.

Of course they had been eavesdropping.

As they started talking and commenting about the proposal, I couldn't erase the huge smile spread on my face as I showed them the ring.

Even Tighnari had teared up a bit.

We spend until late at night just celebrating our engagement and I was so excited to actually start planning the wedding.

Just thinking about it felt so surreal...

The Ben-thing was such a scam😭😭

For those who don't know, Ben Balmaceda, the VA of Kaveh got invited to an anime con I was going and he made a q&a and later you could ask for pictures or autographs at his stand and I'M SO DISSAPOINTED.

I love you Ben and I love the characters you voiced but PLEASE 40€ (43 dollars) for an autograph and 20€ (21 dollars) for a picture?! PLEASE💀

(I'm not hating on Ben!! I know thats how he makes for a living, but I honestly think the prices were exagerated and I was really, really sad afterwards)

At the end he just pulled for me and I sadly got a Faruzan (not a Kaveh😔)

So yeah, it was pretty shitty...

Anygays, sorry for ranting on here, but I just had to get it out.
