Chapter 25; Operation Expose; Part 1

*A Week Later*

Megan Pov.

Finally, it's the day of mine and Nathan's baby shower! I've been waiting for today for some time now, just so I could be with everyone again, just like the good old days, and to make things better, Jade AND Jay will be there! Nothing could possibly go wrong today!

Nathan Pov.

It's finally here! I've been waiting so long for our baby shower today! I don't think Megan knows how excited I actually am for this, she may think she's more excited than me, but that's where she's wrong. We;ve all been stress-free for quite some time now, so I know that everything will be perfect. Nothing could possibly go wrong today!

"Ahh, I'm so excited for today!" Megan exclaimed.

"Me too! Finally something good to happen to us!" i smiled as I placed my hand firmly on Megan's tummy and looked down. "She's going to be so special, our little girl." I looked back up at Megan to see her smiling at me. Suddenly, I felt the baby kick. I gasped. "Oh my god. Did you feel that?!" i asked excitedly.

"Of course I did, silly, i'm the one carrying this child." i laughed. He looked at me.

"Oh.. Right.." i said awkwardly. I felt a right idiot asking her that, but I was just so excited for today, and feeling my little girl kick, it just made me feel amazing! "So, listen, Jade's coming up with us, that okay?" i asked.

"Of course it is! She's my best friend." she smiled. "I honestly can't wait to see her! It'll be the first time since-- Ohh.." she said, but stopped herself at the last minute. I don't blame her for stopping herself though, I mean I don't think she really wants to be reminded of, well, that day. And I don't want to think about it either.

"Hey, don't think about that, drown out all the bad times, and just look forward." I said "Besides, what's the worst that could happen?" i continued, looking into her beautiful green eyes, as she smiled at me.

"Your right, everything's going to be perfect, and nobody can ruin this for us." she replied smiling back as I cupped my hands around her face leaning in for a long kiss.

*2 Hours Later*

Megan Pov.

There was a knock at the door.

"Oh, that should be Jade" Nath said as he went to open the door.  "Hey, Jade!" Nath exclaimed as he hugged her. "Come in." he said happily as he welcomed her in.

"Thankyou." she replied greeting him with a smiling. "Soo, where's--"

"Jade." i said as I just walked out the kitchen as she turned around.

"MEGAN!" She screamed as she rushed over to me to hug me. "Oh my god, I've missed you so much!" she shouted.

"I missed you too!" i shouted back. I looked over Jade's shoulder to see Nathan smiling at me, so I smiled back.

"I'm so happy to see you two together again." he said. Jade and I un-hugged and turned to face Nathan.

"I can't tell you how happy I am to be back with you all!" Jade exclaimed.

"I just can't believe your back!" i exclaimed. Jade looked at Nathan.

"Hey, did you tell her--"

"Yes, he told me about Iraq. I was so shocked when he told me, and I can't believe you went though all that!" i said.

"I know, I never thought i'd ever get home after that." she replied.

"Well your here now, and that's all that matters, right?!" I exclaimed, as she smiled at me.

"You bet." she replied. Nathan was still stood their smiling at the fact Jade and I had finally been reunited. Well reunited again, but this time, In the proper way.

"Hey, listen, i'm really sorry about, well you know--"

"Don't even bring it up Jade, it's fine alright i'm fine, Nathan's fine, my baby's fine, we're all fine, and i'm in a great mood today right, and nothing will take this smile off my face. NOTHING." I assured her.

"Oh, okay, sorry." Jade whispered, almost laughing.

"Well, come one girls, we better get going, if we want to get there on time so we can set up." said Nath.

"Coming." Jade and I said simultainiously as Jade and Nathan helped me outside.

"You two seem really excited, aye?" said Jade. Nathan and I exchanged smiles.

"We sure are, we've all been stress-free for a change, and we feel great! So we're more than certain that nothing could possibly go wrong today." Nath replied with a huge grin on his face.

Half and hour later, we arrived at the venue for our baby shower. We all rushed inside so we could set up before the guests began to arrive. But unfortunately for me, I had to take it easy and sit back and watch Nathan and Jade set up.. Pff, I feel such an invilid, being pregnant and all, but I'm still happy and have that same big smile on my face as I did this morning nevertheless..

About 15 minutes later, Nathan and Jade had just finished putting the finishing touches on the decorations. I looked around at the amazing work they've done. At this point, I was certain that nothing would go wrong today. Jade and Nathan came and sat with me for a while and we had a few drinks and a nice chat as we waited for everyone to arrive. 

10 minutes later, Nathan's mum and sister Jess had arrived. I was so happy to see them, Nathan's mum's like the mum I never had! and Jess, well I'd never actually met her properly, but she seems nice enough, I think we could be good friends, after getting to know each other :)

After about 15 minutes, Max and Michelle had arrived, followed by Tom and Kelsey, along with Siva and Nareesha. Nathan and Jade got up to greet them, but I was told to stay sat, just incase, but just because i'm 8 months, Nathan believes I can't even stand on my own two feet. So they all gathered around me and I greeted them all one by one. The question on my mind right now though was where Jay is? As much as I REALLY didn't want Melissa here, I knew she'd tag along, clingy bitch. But she better not get on my nerves today, otherwise shit's going to go down between me and her..

A few minutes later, Jay finally arrived! With Melissa.. However, I was happy to see Jay in which I completely ignored Melissa's presence, until she came over acting all 'buddy, buddy' with me. She hugged me as I looked over Melissa's shoulder and saw a look of disgust on Jade's face. 'it's not what you think' i mouthed to her, she nodded in response.

"Hey Megan, how you doing?" Melissa said excitedly. "You all excited for today?" she asked.

"Um, yeah, totally excited.. Um could you just excuse me for a second, I nee to speak with Jade really quick." i said quickly just so I could escape.. But clearly I had to tell Jade about Melissa now..

I got up as quickly, but as carefully as I could, grabbed Jade's wrist and took her into the toilets, so I could talk to her.

"Um, who was that? and why the hell was she acting like that around you?" she asked almost angrily.

"That, Jade, is um.. Melissa." i replied.

"Melissa? Who's Mellisa?" she asked.

"She's um.. Jay's.. friend?" i said slowly.

"Friend?" she asked. "What kind of friend?". I sighed

"I don;t know how to tell you this, I thought Nath would have said something when he came to see you, but obviously not, so i'm afraid i'm going to have to spill--"

"Spill what? What's going on?" she asked almost demandingly.

"Okay, she's Jay's girlfriend!" I blurted.

"What?" she asked with a look of sorrow in her eyes.

"I know, i was pretty disappointed when I found out." i replied.

"Wow, that hurt." she replied as a tear developed in her eye.

"Please, don't cry Jade! I'm going to sort this!" i assured her.

"How, exactly, it's clear he got over me and he loves her now?" she shot at me.

"See, that's where your wrong." i said.

"Huh?" she asked.

"I don't think he really loves her, if i'm honest. When I first saw that woman, I saw something in her I didn't like, and i vow to expose that little bimbo for what she really is." i replied. Jade raised an eyebrow at me. "Look, don't tell anyone about this conversation, alright? Just act as though it never happened, and just leave me to do my job." i replied.

"O..Okay.." she stuttered. "But what was all that about with you two when she came in?" she asked.

"Oh believe me, when I said it's not what you think, I mean it's not what you think. Look since your disappearance, she's been all over me like a rash I can't get rid of, and she believes we're best friends now, which we are NOT by the way.. Just think of it as i'm an undercover spy." i explained.

"Huh?" she asked confused.

"Lets just say, me playing the part of her "best friend" i've found out quite a lot of useful information in which I can use against her once I seek my revenge." i said getting that evil feeling back. It made me feel so good talking about my plot to expose her. "Listen, you must NEVER speak of this, okay? I want it to be a.. pleasant surprise to Melissa, and believe me once I tell everyone her dark secrets, it's going to hit her so hard." i said with an evil laugh.

"Dark secrets?" she asked.

"Never speak of it!" i replied, laughing again just thinking about how sweet this revenge will be.

"Okay, okay, but please stop laughing like that, it's creepy." she said.

"Sorry. Come on, we better get back to the others." i replied.

"Yeah, they may think we've fell down the loo or something." she laughed. However I didn't.

"Yeah, Jade, like I'D fit in the toilet.." i said.

"Oh.. Yeaaah." she said as she looked at one of the loo's, the looked how big my tummy is. After an awkward silence and a lot of sniggering, we shard a good laugh, then we eventually exited the toilets and returned to the others.. Just like that conversation never happened. 

Nathan Pov.

"So, you been looking forward to this?" asked Max

"Yeah, totally." i replied happily.

"Hey, where's Megan gone?" asked Nareesha.

"I'm not sure.. I'm sure she went to the loo.." i replied, and I got a few laughs.

"Oh, here she is." said Kelsey. I turned my head to see Megan and Jade heading my way.

"Where you been babe?" i asked.

"I told her." she whispered.

"You didn't." i replied.

"I did, she had the right to know about her, and I had no choice but to say something after Jade saw her being all friendly with me." she explained. 

"Oh, yeah, hey i'm sorry I never told her." i said.

"Don't worry about it. She knows now, and now we can get on with today." she smiled as she kissed me, then took her seat back next to me. 

Jade Pov.

Jay has a new girlfriend? Why did no one tell me until now? I am actually quite disappointed in Jay if i'm honest. I mean Megan was right, something does seem to be wrong with Melissa, although I can't quite put my finger on it. But what I want to know is, what are these 'dark secrets' of Melissa's, Megan was talking about just now? and what was all this talk about revenge? Megan was actually freaking me out with those evil laugh's she did after all the 'sweet revenge' talk and if i'm honest it sounded pretty sick, but for Megan to say things like that, and act the way she did, something terrible must have happened. But what? Has this chick done something to Megan. To Nathan.. To Jay? What was going on here? I HAD to know! 

Megan Pov.

Nathan and I had began to open some of the gifts everyone had brought with them today, we'd got so many cute things for our little girl! and everytime we opened one of the gifts, I looked up and saw Melissa was all over Jay. Ugh, it made me cringe so much, and I became a little annoyed and Nathan could see that, but after exchanging some looks with him, I ignored them and got over it, as we continued to open the rest of the gifts.

I couldn't help but feel enraged at Melissa, she was completely spoiling mine and Nathan's day. Yeah, Nath may not have taken any notice of them, but they were literally right in my face and I couldn't take it anymore. Seriously, if they didn't stop like NOW, there would be trouble, not necessarily for Jay. But for Melissa...
