Final Chapter- Welcome Home!

I pulled up to my condo in my freshly new Rolls Royce, Im finally back home in the city I love.

Last night was mad trill, my final show for my, Away From Home Tour was here and the experience was life changing, my whole city came out to rock with me, and to me that's amazing. It completely made the experience worth it, cause god knows I've been through some shit.

Maliah completely disappeared out of my life, I can't believe I trusted her. I haven't talked to Leilani in weeks, it seems like she forgot about me, maybe space is what we need.

I was more than ready to settle down after the tour, I'm giving myself a good month before I start working on my freshman album.

The name of it is still unknown but when the time comes, I'll find the inspiration.

I discouraged myself from getting my suitcases out of the car and made my way up to my place.

Opening up the door, I heard shuffling on the floor. Somebody better not be breaking into my place!

"WELCOME HOME DRAKE!" Everybody popped out

My mom, my boy Niko, 40, my cousin Ryan, and my uncle Steve.

This is the best thing I could've came home to.

"There's my boy!" My mom smiled

"Hey mom," I gently picked her off the ground

"You grew!" she chuckled "How's my world traveler?"

"Glad to be home," I smiled

"What's up, cuz," Ryan dapped me

"How's it goin' man?"

"Good, I've been taking care of the 6 for you," he chuckled

"That's wassup," I laughed

After getting caught up with everyone and eating the amazing meal my mom whipped up for us I was ready to get settled in, but once again, I was feeling lonely.

"Aubrey, Leilani wanted me to give this to you," my mom handed me a card

Maybe, I'm unforgettable.

LEILANI-

I slipped on the hoodie Aubrey gave me before he left on tour and laid down in my bed with my bowl of popcorn. Don't you just love those lonely movie nights?

All of my friends went to Aubrey's concert last night, but I felt like it wasn't my place to go.

The last time I talked to him was two weeks ago. From the details of the drunk conversation we had, it sounded like he went through some tough situations.

One of the things that stuck with me is the fact that he told me, "It was all my fault," And then hung up. People always say that a drunk mind speaks sober thoughts.

But maybe this was my fault.

I spend my sleepless nights wondering that exact thing, my brain tells me that it's over but my heart says, "Give it another chance."

We went on one date but the outcome was not what I expected. He's just not my type. Just friends is the only thing I can see us being, and I think he understands that.

Focusing on myself and my future is the best thing I can do right now.

DRAKE-

I parked my car in Leilani's driveway and quickly got out.

Seeing her silver Lexus parked in front of me gave me hope that she was here.

I knocked on the door, waiting for her arrival. At this point all I wanted to see is my baby.

"Just a second!" she said softly as she unlocked the door

Opening it up, I saw the girl I fell in love with nearly a year ago.

Shoulder length, dark brown curls, she just changed her hair and it looked perfect, I wish I was the first to let her know. She had on the hoodie I left for her,

"Hey, what are you doing here?" she smiled weakly

"I wanted see you," I pulled her into a hug

She secured her arms around me, and cried into my chest.

It's been too long since we've been together.

"I'm sorry," We both said at the same time

"Why weren't you there?" I asked, referring to my welcome home party

"I didn't think you wanted me there," she looked into my eyes

"Well I want you right now, and forever," I pulled the card out of my back pocket

"I told you this is in your name," I stuck the debt card in the front pocket of the hoodie

She stood on the top of my feet and pulled me into a kiss, it gave me the same exact feeling as our first.

"You ready to go to Rome?"

"Yea," she smiled "Thank you... for everything."

I grinned and kissed her forehead,

"Thank me later babygirl."
