"Hol' up ma." I shrugged her off of me as she massaged my shoulders "If money's what you want then take this." I stood up and tossed a stack on her lap

I need to stay focused on what's really important.

LEILANI-

There was a light knock on my door as I braided Angels hair,

"Come in!"

"Aw, look at my baby." Jasmine smiled at Angel

"You like my hair mommy? She had to straighten first."

"Yes, Leilani did a beautiful job on it."

"Can I do your hair next?" Angel stood up and stuck her hands in my wild curls

"How about later? You need to go get ready for the party."

"Ok, I'm so excited!" she ran off

"Can we talk?" Jasmine closed the door

"Sure."

"So, I know you're going through a lot right now when it comes to this new family ordeal but we never meant to hurt you whatsoever. I'm not here to simply replace your mother and I apologize if I came off that way. Brian and I just wanted to make our family complete and I just don't mean him, Angel, and I, I mean all four of us, but I'll understand if you don't want the same."

"I do want the same." I smiled weakly "I'm sorry for being completely rude to you, I'm not like that at all, it's just something I have to get use to but I'm ready."

"Ok, thank you." she wiped her eyes and pulled me into a hug "How about we set up a day to get to know each other better?"

"I would love that." I chuckled as she finally released me

"Leilani! I'm ready!" A hyper Angel ran into my room

"Lets get going then, we'll see you later Jasmine." I grabbed my keys and we made our way out

"I'll be over here, let me know if you need some more money for tokens." I slid into the booth

"Ok!" she ran off

"Damn Leilani, why you stalking me?" Isaiah sat across from me

"I think it's the other way around." I laughed

"Daddy! Can you hold onto this for me?" His son tossed his jacket to him

"Yea, go have fun lil' man." he roughed his hair before he ran off

"What's his name?"

"Miles."

"Aw, that's cute." I smiled

"Yea, that's my life right there."

"Where's his mom? If you don't mind me asking."

"She just, disappeared. She dropped him off at my crib one day, and never came back. I searched everywhere for that girl."

"Wow, that's so crazy." I looked into his eyes, they were so calm in any situation he was in

And they were so easy to get lost in.

"Ain't it? But at this point it's whatever, I don't need her negative energy in my life, I'm all about good vibes."

"Well, do I give off a good vibe?"

"Yea, you're mad cool. You don't take shit from nobody, but when you love, you love with your whole heart and I like that about you." He licked his lips and smiled

My phone rang in my pocket, interrupting our conversation.

"Hello?"

"Baby, it's done! I just finished the tape, and Wayne's about to release it, can you come to the studio?"
