Chapter 45

DRAKE-

So Nebby ended up kicking me out of her house, I can't blame her. No girl wants to hear you calling her someone else's name. I'm glad it happened, because in the back of my mind I was wishing it was Leilani. My pride is too strong for me to just call and apologize to her, no matter how badly I wanted to do it, I couldn't.

I'm going to get her back, no doubt about it. I just have to find the perfect opportunity but for now, I need to focus on my music.

LEILANI-

"I see you finally called me," Isaiah chuckled

"Please don't flatter yourself," I laughed "I was just wondering if you could work for me today? I know it's short notice."

"Why can't you work? huh?"

"I'm going shopping for my party, please, say you can!"

"Ok, only if I'm invited though."

"I was going to invite you anyways but thank you so so much!"

"No problem cutie. What time do you work?"

"2 to 8, I'll text you all the details ok?"

"Sounds good, I'll see you soon."

"Ok, bye," I hung up

I'm so excited for this Saturday I'm finally going to be 18, an adult. Time flys when you think about it.

After finally getting out of bed, I took a quick shower. I wanted to be comfortable so I put on a pair of Adidas sweats and a matching shirt.

My phone rang on my bed, I jogged over to it and picked it up,

"Hello?"

"I'm here," Gina responded

"K just come on up, the doors unlocked," I hung up

I grabbed a pair of socks, slipped them on and proceeded to put on my white vans.

Moments later Gina walked up into my room on the phone,

"This Saturday at 7 you better be there. Bye," she hung up

"Who were you taking to?"

"Oh no one," she said, looking everywhere but at me

Suspicious much?

"Lets get to the hotel then.." I sighed

I hate when people keep secrets from me.

Gina and I pulled up to The Ritz-Carlton, the nicest hotel in Toronto. My dad was able to rent out the ballroom for my 18th, how he did I never got to ask. I guess he felt guilty because he's not going to be able to attend. But I'm lucky enough to have my mom and Cassie coming out.

"Holy shit this place is amazingggg!" Gina sang

Chandlers hanging from the ceilings, rich people walking around, and a flowing waterfall right in the center of the lobby. Hell yea this place is amazing.

Before my dad left out he gave me the keys to the ballroom and the key for the girls and I's hotel room.

"So I'll get all the decorations and set them up tomorrow if you can pickup our dresses," Gina spoke up as we looked around the ballroom

"Yea, that's fine with me. Everyone's RSVP'd so everything else is good," I smiled, I can't wait.

Spending the day with Gina and getting everything done for the party went well. I started preparing the house for my mom and Cassie, they should be here any moment. While I was waiting on their arrival I decided to send Isaiah the details for my party.

Isaiah: damnn, going all out tho

me: that's just how I do!

Isaiah: I see, I see. I'll see you 2morrow shorty

The door bell rang so I sat my phone down on the kitchen counter and rushed over to the door.

"Hey!" I greeted my mom and Cassie

"Hi baby," my mom pulled me into a tight hug

"Hey Cas!" I hugged her after my mom released me

"Hey Lei," she smiled as I let her and my mom in

"How was the flight?" I asked as I helped them take their bags upstairs

"It was good," Cassie replied

After I got them situated I was ready to pass out, sleep is needed right now.

"Where does your dad keep the alcohol?"

"Mom, you know he doesn't drink anymore," I chuckled

"Damn," she smacked her lips "I'm going to go get something to drink then, you two want anything?"

"Bring me some Oreos, you want anything Cas?" I turned my attention to her

"I'll just eat your food," she chuckled

"You better make that two boxes then mom," I laughed

"Ok girls, I'll be back in a little," she walked out of my room

"How's everything been?" I asked Cassie

"Boring as fuck," she chuckled "I hate that we never got to chill much over spring break," she frowned

"I know right, all thanks to Aubrey being with me. I shouldn't have brought him."

"I like him though, where's he at? I'm surprised he's not here right now," she laughed

"We broke up.."

"What?! why?"

"Honestly, I don't know," I chuckled sadly

I really miss him, his smile, his laugh, everything about him. I feel like a part of me is missing.

"Lets not talk about that though, how's Jacent?"

"Good I guess, he stopped talking to me, he's dating some freshman."

"What the hell?" I laughed "He's so wack."

"Isn't he though?"

We spent the rest of the night just talking and cracking jokes like we used to. I miss all the times we've had together, but that's my girl, no one can ever replace her.

"Wake up Leilani," someone shook my shoulder

"What time is it?" I slowly opened up my eyes

"It's 1."

I finally came to the realization that it was Gina who was waking me up.

"Oh shit let me get up," I chuckled "Cas, wake up," I kicked her lightly

"Who's this?" Cassie sat up

"Oh, this is Gina, Gina this is Cassie" I stood up

My back instantly cracking, I hate sleeping on the floor.

"Nice to meet you Gina!" Cassie smiled

"Nice to meet you too, Leilani talks about you all the time," she laughed

"Yup, that's my hoe," she stretched her arms

"Happy Birthday!" My mom walked into the room

"Thanks ma," I hugged her

"Look at my baby, she's 18 today. Oh lord what am I going to do," she ran her hand over her face

"Mom, I'm still your little girl," I smiled

"You're right, get ready so we can head to the hotel"

I stuck the key in the door and we entered the room. I was breath taken by it all, the room was too nice.

I walked over to the closet and hung up the dresses for tonight.

"We have 3 hours until the party starts, so I suggest we start getting ready."

"Are you serious Lei? I wanna look around" Cassie whined

"We can do that after the party, I promise plus we can get drunk," I chuckled

"Fine, I call the shower first then!"

"Go for it," I waved her off

One after another we took our showers, I placed all of my make up out on the counter. Putting on a small amount of liquid foundation I covered it up with my Mac powder. I slid a shimmering cream colored eye shadow on and finished putting mascara on my bottom lashes. While I was doing that my mom was finishing up with curling my hair, they flowed beautifully past my shoulders.

"Ok I'm done," she sprayed some holding hair spray on it

"Thanks mom!" I smiled

"Go get your dress on," she shooed me off

Saving the best for last I carefully slid on the light blue gown. The one strap it had was designed with rhinestones shaped into flowers. Checking myself one last time in the mirror I exited the bathroom.

"Damnnnn!" Gina and Cassie said in unison

"You look great Lei," my mom smiled as she wiped her eyes

"Thanks! Can you take a pictures of us?" I motioned them to get off the couch

"Say cheese!" she snapped a picture of us

"You guys ready?"

"Yea, lets go," I slipped on my silver heels

We made our way to the ballroom, I was excited to see everyone all dressed up.

As I walked into the room, I was greeted by all the people I've come to know.

"You look so beautiful Leilani," Isaiah pulled me into a hug and kissed my shoulder

"Thank you so much!" I smiled "You look very handsome in your tuxedo, and I see you shaved," I winked

"All for you," he said seductively

"You're so sweet!" I hugged him again "I'm gonna go talk to everyone else, you good?"

"Yea I'm good, go do your thing birthday girl."

I made my way to my seat next to Gina and Cassie while they prepared to serve us dinner.

"Where the hell is that boy?" Gina sighed as she looked around

"Who are you looking for?" I said lowly in her ear

"Uh, the guy who brought us our drinks," she said quickly

After we finished eating I got up and went to the front of the room.

I grabbed the microphone,

"I want to thank all of you for coming out tonight, you all look beyond amazing. I want to give a special thanks to Future the Prince for DJ'ing, love you boy!" I winked at him

"But the rest of the night is yours, lets get turnt!"

Future blasted 'All the way turnt up by Roscoe Dash' as I sat the mic down. I couldn't ask for a better party, the only thing missing was Aubrey.

"You look amazing babygirl," A pair of arms wrapped around my waist

I turned around to see a happy Aubrey, and he looked fine as hell in his tux.

"Thank you," I blushed

"I got you something" he pulled a box out of his pocket "Open it up" he handed it to me

"Aubrey this is beautiful!" she pulled the diamond necklace out of the box

"Let me put it on you."

She turned around and lifted up her hair so I could do so.

"Baby, I'm so sorry I never meant for us to break up," I grabbed her hands

"I was being a dumbass, I want you to go to whatever college you choose, I'm one hundred percent behind you."

"I forgive you Aubrey," she smiled "I decided to go to the University of Toronto.."

Wow.

"Really? You don't have to."

"I'm not going to please you," she laughed "I'm going for me."

"Fair enough, can I have this dance?"

"Of course."

I led her to the dance floor as Future changed up the speed of things. He started playing 'Differences by Ginuwine'. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist. It feels good to hold my girl again.

She said bye to everyone as they emptied out of the room, but our night was just beginning.

"Baby, come with me," I grabbed her hand and led her out and down the hall

Approaching the room I checked out I pulled my key out and unlocked it.

"Is this your room?"

"Yea," I chuckled as we walked in

"Close your eyes, I got a surprise for you," she covered them and I walked her into the bedroom

I turned on the John Legend mix I had and starting kissing on her neck.

I unzipped her dress, letting it fall down on it's own.

"Oh my god you did all of this?" she uncovered her eyes and looked around the candle and flower covered room

"Yea, all for you baby," I pushed her down onto the bed

I hovered over her, I gazed into her lust filled eyes as she attempted to unbutton my shirt. Slipping it off she crashed her lips into mine, our tongues fought over dominance, she finally gave in and followed my pace. Unhooking her bra, she reached down and unbuttoned my pants, before kicking them off I grabbed a condom out of one of the pockets.
