Chapter 40

DRAKE-

I slowly opened up my eyes and took in my surroundings, my first day in Miami. The house was awfully quiet as I got out of bed, they must still be asleep.

I went to the bathroom, carrying on with my usual routine of washing my face and brushing my teeth. I dried my hands off and left out of my room, Leilani needs to wake her ass up.

"Gigi I don't want to talk about it!" I heard Leilani on the phone

"Because I don't... just tell him to leave me alone."

"We were friends, until the party ok?"

What the hell is she talking about? Better yet, who the hell is she talking about. I could tell what ever the subject of the conversation was about stressed her out.

I slowly opened up the door and walked in.

"Uh I gotta go Gigi, love you!" she hung up

"Good morning babe!" she smiled

"Morning, everything ok?" I sat down on her bed

"Mhm," she kissed my cheek

"So what time is this party?"

"One."

"Well it's 12 right now," I chuckled

"Oh shit!" she yanked the covers off of her

"Go get ready Aubrey."

"I'm hungry though."

"Babe, go downstairs and find something, I need to get ready!" she walked into her bathroom and slammed the door

Well damn.

I made my way out of her room and downstairs. I still couldn't shake the thoughts that I had about her and Ginas conversation but since she said she's fine I won't sweat it.

For now.

"Hello Aubrey!"

"Good Morning Ms. Bryant," I smiled

"Please just call me Stephanie," she chuckled

"What's there to eat?" I opened up the fridge

"We got some poptarts," she tossed me a bag

"I should probably go grocery shopping.. what are you two doing today?"

"Her friends invited us to some party," I took a bite of the poptart

"Oh fun! Well enjoy yourself."she smiled and walked out of the kitchen

"AUBREYYYYY!" Leilani screamed my name from upstairs

"Wassup?" I finally made it to her room

"You not ready yet?! Go get dressed boy!"

"Damn ok," I sucked my teeth

I quickly got dressed in a new pair of trunks and grabbed us a couple of towels

"Ready?" she peeked her head in my room

"Yea, you got sun screen?" I handed her the towels

"Mhm, come on," she grabbed my hand

We arrived to the beautiful Miami beach only about 20 minutes later.

I grabbed our beach bag and got out of the car.

"What do you think babe?" I grabbed his hand

"It's so beautiful, I haven't been to a beach forever." he said in awe

"Aye Leilani!" Rene motioned us over

"Hey!" I hugged her

"Hi Aubrey" she gave him a quick side hug

"Where's everyone?"

"Follow me"

We approached the sound of Tupac blasting through the speakers, they really went all out.

"Heyyy Lei!" Cassie wrapped her arm around me

"What's up? I didn't think there was going to be this many people"

"Me either" she shrugged "but come with me"

"You good Aubrey?" I interrupted his conversation with Rene

"Yea I'm good bae," he smiled

Cassie dragged me to one of the huts she got rented.

"So anything going on with you and Jac?"

"No ma'am, I'm in a happy relationship, I'm not about to mess it up."

"THANK GOD! You two are too cute"

"Yooo! Leilani!" Jacent approached

Speak of the devil.

I found myself staring at his perfectly sculpted six pack, and I mean PERFECT.

"Glad you could make it," he wrapped his arms around me

JACENT-

Once I released Leilani from my grip, I could tell she was feeling some way.

She's still everything I remember. Gorgeous, outgoing but she seems happier? I still can't believe that she moved on, we were suppose to wait for each other. I went through with the plan but she failed to, and I hate knowing that there's another guy with her heart because it belongs to me.

"You swimming right?"

"Yea," she smiled

"Well lets go!"

"I'm kinda waiting for Aubrey."

"He looks busy," I chuckled as I pointed to the group of girls surrounding him

"What the fuck.." she mumbled

"You trust him right?"

"Yea of course."

"Then lets go. Me, you and Cas."

She pulled off her shirt quickly but in my mind to went slow motion. Her body was irresistible, she's defiantly been working out.

"Can you put this on my back?" she tossed me her sunscreen bottle

I squeezed some of it in my hands and started gently massaging it into her shoulders, then I spread it down her to her back, reaching under her swimsuit strap.

"Ok, that's good, do you need some?"

"Nah I'm good."

"Wait, lets take a picture," Cassie pulled out her phone

We posed for the camera. Everything seemed back to normal for a minute, we used to hangout all the time together. But those days are gone.

"Come on Jac," Leilani wrapped her arm around my waist

We approached the shoreline, the waves were picking up and the water was cold as fuck.

"Damn it's cold," Cassie dipped her foot in

"You know, if you just put your whole body in it's not that cold."

"Then why don't you get in Jacent," Leilani nudged me

"Nah but you can," I lightly pushed her

Well I thought the push was light, she ended up losing her balance and crashing into the water.

"Jacent! You asshole!" she gasped

"What the fuck is going on?!" I turned around to see that nigga Aubrey

"We're just messing around chill."

"Just don't fucking touch her!" he spat as he helped her up

"You good baby?" he kissed her

My blood is boiling, he knows exactly what he's doing.

"I'm fine, go back to those bitches you were talking to."

"Oh shit," I chuckled

"Nigga, nobody told you to say anything," he turned around and gave me a dirty look

"I don't need permission to say shit! Especially from a bitch named Aubrey," I laughed

"Who the fuck do you think you talkin' to?!" He shoved me

"Aubrey stop!" Leilani grabbed his arm

"Nah, I'm not about to take no disrespect from him," he snatched his arm out of her grip

"You got a problem with me, then lets solve it right here, right now," he stepped up to me

"Cassie get Jacent!" Leilani wiggled her way in between us

"Hell no! I wanna see this!"

If he wants a fight, then that's exactly what he's going to get~
