Chapter 32

DRAKE-

"You ever been here?" I looked through the menu

"Nope, good choice!" she smiled

I looked over at her while she decided what she wanted. She was so focused on what she was going to, it made me realize that she over thinks everything, even the smallest things take effort for her to think about.

"What are you gonna get?"

"Chicken Alfredo, you?"

"Salmon and rice."

"Oh you fancy huh?" she chuckled

"Pretty much, how you feelin' about our first date?"

"Who said this was a date?" she smirked

I looked at her and shook my head, this girl stay playing games.

"I'm just kidding Aub, this place is amazing," she grabbed my hand

"Are you two ready to order?" the waiter pulled out his pad

"Yea, I'll have the Salmon and Rice and the lady will have Chicken Alfredo."

"Sounds good, we'll get that sent out to you guys asap," he looked over at Leilani and smiled

"Thanks," I waved him off

"So when are you going to ask me?" Lei looked into my eyes

No questions asked, I knew exactly what she was talking about.

"Will you be my girlfriend Leilani? The new-new to my Rashad?" I chuckled

"You're so corny!" she blushed

"But yes I will, Aubshad.." she giggled

I'm not letting her go for nothing.______________________________

LEILANI-

"Did you enjoy dinner?" Aubrey asked as we pulled into my driveway

"Yea I did, I'm full as hell now, thanks for everything," I chuckled

"Only the best for you, but I'll text you before you go to bed babygirl."

"K, it better be the most adorable text too!"

"I'll see what I can do," he kissed my forehead

"Bye!" I grabbed my backpack from the backseat and got out of the car

I crept into my house as quiet as possible, I already know I'm in deep shit with my dad.

"Where you been at Leilani?"

I looked over to see him sitting on the couch, his facial expression was less than amused.

"I went out to dinner with Aubrey.."

"Come sit down,"I sat down on the far end of the couch, hoping not to feel his wrath.

"Since when have I said it's ok to go all over the town on self will?"

"Never," I said lowly

"Exactly, that might fly with your mom but that shit does not fly with me young lady!"

"I'm sorry daddy.." I gave him the puppy eyes

It sucks when a parent is pissed at you.

"Yea you'll be sorry, you're grounded. No leaving this house other than for school until spring break."

"Dad seriously?! That's like a month away!"

"Yes Leilani! You need to learn, no car either, I'll be driving you and picking you up from school everyday."

"Dad you're being so unfair!"

"Not at all, this is a light punishment until I can see some changes around here, good night," he walked back upstairs

"Fuck my life.." I mumbled as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge

I pulled out my phone and tapped on Gina's number, at least he didn't take my phone away.

"Hey Lei!"

"What's up Gina? How you doing? I didn't get to see you today."

"I'm good babe, where were you? with Marco?"

"Oh heck no, I did talk to him today though," I flopped down on my bed

"About what?"

"Nothing really, he just apologized and told me he was moving to LA."

"Good! He needs to leave," she chuckled

"Exactly!"

"So where were you at then?"

"So I need to tell you something.."

"What's up?"

"I was with Aubrey."

"Why?"

"It's complicated to be honest but for the past couple months we've became really good friends, well actually more than friends.."

"Aw! Reallly?"

I breathed out a sigh of relief but then again this is Gina we're talking about. She always has my best interest.

"Yea, he asked me out today but Gina, what am I going to tell Jade? I already know she's going to hate my guts," she sniffled

"We'll come up with something, I promise. I won't just leave you hanging."

"Thanks Gigi, how are you and Derek?"

"Good, oh my gosh. He's truly amazing"

"Leilani! Get off the phone!" my dad banged on the door

"That's great! Im so happy for you two, but I gotta go, I'll talk to you in the a.m."

"Ok bye!" I hung up

I took a quick shower and got dressed in my usual sleeping attire, sweats and a t-shirt.

I checked my phone to see if I had any missed texts.

Aubrey: an adorable text...jkjkGoodnight babygirl, I must say you're the most beautiful thing on this earth and I'm proud to say your mine. Even though we'll be apart at school just know you're on my mind during the day. have sweet dreams, about me.... so those would actually be wet dreams lol

I rolled my eyes at the text, that's Aubrey for ya.

The plan for tomorrow is to break the news to Jade.~
