Chapter 24

Leilani-

My first day back at school, and it was nothing less than perfect. Marco was being extremely clingy but I brushed it off, he's acting like he has something to hide, I'm not going to sweat it, for now.

Aubrey kept giving me side eyes throughout the day, I tried to say hi but he ignored me every time. I can't blame him though, I've been avoiding him the past couple of weeks, trying to decide what I wanted to. Obviously I chose Marco because when you think about it, what the hell do I look like dating my best friend's ex? That's shady as fuck, but not gonna lie he looks finer than ever.

"What time is everyone coming over?" Gina asked as she braided my hair

"8, so we got two hours to get everything ready."

My mom talked my dad into letting me have a party here tonight. Well not exactly, she dragged him out of the house and told me to have a good time.

"Did you invite Aubrey?" I asked Gina

"No, was I suppose to?"

"No, but we need a DJ," I sighed

I want this to go smoothly but I don't want to seem like I'm using him, even though I kind of am.

I grabbed my phone and waited for him to answer,

"Hello?" he mumbled

"Hey Aubrey, I really need a favor," I pleaded

"What is it?"

"Can you please come through with your cousin to DJ? I'm having a party."

"I guess, only if I can bring someone else."

"Yea sure, Bring whoever you want. Thank you sooooo much!"

"Yea, I'll be there in like a hour to set up," he hung up

Ok. He hates me.

ME: yo we gotta dj at a party tonight, that cool?

FUTURE: yea sounds good, I'll meet you there

ME: sounds like a plan

I'm not about to go to a party solo dolo, I went down my contacts, I called this girl I met a while ago.

"Hello?"

"Wassup Neb, how you doin?"

"Good! I haven't heard from you in a minute!"

"Right, sorry I've been a stranger but aye you should come to this party with me tonight."

"I would love to go! what should I wear?"

"Something sexy, I'll school you at 7:30 ok?"

"Ok see you then hun!"

"Aight, bye," I hung up

Aubrey still hasn't shown up! Luckily his cousin came early so the music was taken care of.

"Where the hell did this weed come from?" Jade asked

"My mom is like a major pothead," I chuckled as I put a final coat of mascara on

I heard the music blasting, "You ready to go downstairs?"

"Yea."

We walked down the stairs and there was already a huge crowd in my living room.

"Who the hell are all these people?!" I said over the music

"Shit I don't know, lets get something to drink" Gina grabbed my hand

We went to the liquor table,

"What do you want to drink?"

"I'll just get a sprite, I'm not trying to get drunk," I chuckled

"Wassup babe!"

Marco walked up behind me and started kissing my neck.

"Hey.." I turned around and pecked his lips

"Party is going hard forreal!"

"I guess, did you invite all these people?"

"I only invited like 5 people, then they invited five people," he chuckled

"Well you're helping me clean this shit up then."

"Chill, I got you bae, we should go dance."

"Ok," he grabbed my hand

We started moving to the Snoop Dogg mix Future was playing, he has some really good skills.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Aubrey all hugged up with some girl. What the hell?! My blood was boiling, after he told me he wanted to be with me, he's at MY house with some girl.

"I'll be right back Marco," I stormed up to my room

Is this forreal? Is he just playing mind games with me? I hate this feeling. He's not mine but I feel some way knowing he's giving some other girl his attention.

I grabbed my phone off of my bed,

me: come to my room ASAP

My phone rang in my pocket, I pulled it out

LEI: come to my room ASAP

"Uh, Nebby I'll be right back, I'm gonna go to the bathroom."

"Ok babe."

I discretely made my way upstairs and into her room.

"WHAT THE HELL AUBREY?!" she charged at me and pushed me up against the wall.

"Get your crazy ass off of me, real shit!" I spat

"You're so fucked up!"

"Nah, that's all you," I chuckled

"Why would you even bring her?"

"Because I'm tired of pretending that everything is good between us!"

"I thought it was," she said lowly

"Nah, I fucking told you straight up that I wanted to be with you, Marco ain't shit!"

"No you ain't shit Drake! You defiantly fucked with my feelings, you just sprung it on me and expected me to just break up with Marco? It doesn't work like that at all!"

"You done?"

"Ugh, I can't stand you! Get the fuck out of my house, and take that hoe with you!" she spat

I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to me, not leaving an inch of space between us. It's not suppose to be like this, I can't stand to see her angry.

I crashed my lips into hers, catching her off guard I felt like I was walking on air, I mean, I could die right now and be fine with it. I'd be fine, as long as I was kissing her.
