Olivia stayed home with Amanda until Monday. Yet when she left, she was very nervous of what she'd come home to. Amanda had been sick on and off all weekend, and Olivia spent most of her time sitting on the bathroom floor with Amanda or holding her hair back, as morning sickness made her feel absolutely terrible.

"Good morning, Sergeant," Carisi spoke, as Olivia walked into the squadroom. She nodded towards him and pretended that she hadn't overheard the conversation he had with Amanda last week.

"Morning."

"Uh, is Rollins coming in today?" Carisi questioned as Nick stepped past Olivia and made his way to his desk.

"No, Amanda is not coming in today. As you know, she fainted last week and was hospitalized. The day they released her, she fainted again and was hospitalized once more," Olivia spoke.

Nick and Carisi's faces lost all their color as they kept their eyes focused on Olivia's face. They were just waiting for her to tell them that Amanda was still in the hospital.

"So... is she okay?" Nick whispered.

"She'll be fine. If you want to see her at all, she's staying in my guest room so I can take care of her. I have decided that Amanda will be on leave for at least six weeks, or until her morning sickness fizzles out."

Olivia walked away from her crew and into her office. She shut the door tightly before sinking into her desk chair. It took a few moments for her to decide what to do first, and she settled on making a few calls to get in contact with Declan.

Captain Dodds was her first call, and he picked up on the second ring.

"What happened now?" He asked. Olivia knew he was waiting to hear some bad news, since she usually only called when one of her detectives was in trouble or one had been injured.

"Hello to you too, sir," Olivia said with a tired chuckle.

"Benson-"

"Okay, I'm sorry. Uh, I need to get a message to Declan Murphy."

"Murphy? Why? Have a thing for him?" Dodds shot back. Olivia screwed her eyes shut and shook her head.

"No, sir. I don't. But I need to get a message to him, and I was hoping you'd be able to help. Or get me in contact with someone."

The line went quiet as Dodds decided if he would help the leader of the squad that was his biggest pain in the ass.

"Captain?"

"Let me see what I can do. If I can get a message through, what would it be?"

"Okay, please don't over react-"

"Sergeant Benson!"

"Sir, Amanda Rollins... geez... Uh, she's pregnant. Declan is the father, and she wants to tell him, so if he comes back home, he doesn't see some tiny ginger just waiting to meet him," Olivia blurted. She couldn't believe she let herself word vomit information that wasn't hers to give out.

"Wow, okay."

"Captain-"

"How are you dealing with this situation? Now that I know she's pregnant, she can't be on active duty."

"I know, and she's on medical leave right now, anyway."

"Why?"

"She has horrible morning sickness and gets dizzy spells that lead her to fainting. I spent most of last week in and out of the hospital with her, and now she's staying with me until she feels better."

Once again, the line went silent. After several long moments, the sound of a pen clicking broke the silence.

"What's the message?"

"He needs to call home, and that something surprising happened. Have him call Amanda... but you know, in a way that won't get him or any of us killed."

The day dragged on, and every call made Olivia think Dodds had gotten the message to Declan and they would just be waiting for him to call Amanda. They didn't end up with a case, so Olivia ordered her squad to finish up paperwork and do a quick spring cleaning of their desks. At six on the dot, Olivia packed up and went home.

"Hey!" Amanda smiled once Olivia walked into the apartment. Olivia was surprised that her detective was excited to see her after fighting her for several days.

"Hey, Rollins. How are you feeling?" Olivia questioned.

"I'm feeling pretty good. I haven't gotten sick all day, and I ate a decent amount today," Amanda replied.

"That is great news, honey. I'm glad," Olivia smiled.

She walked into the kitchen and put her to-go mug in the sink, before setting out the chicken noodle soup she had picked up on the way home.

Bowls were filled, and bread was toasted before they sat at the breakfast bar and ate together. Olivia didn't want to talk too much about work because she didn't want Amanda to get upset about being on leave.

"Were you busy today?" Amanda mused.

"We didn't get a case today. I made the guys clean their desks and do paperwork. They whined more than you have done over the last several days," Olivia said, her elbow playfully hitting Amanda's arm.

Amanda rolled her eyes before standing to get more soup. While waiting for it to warm up, she turned to look at Olivia.

"What about the favor I asked?"

"I called Dodds, and he is going to try to get in contact with Declan. If he is successful, you'll be receiving a call from him."

Amanda turned and stopped the microwave and removed her bowl. She sat beside Olivia, the wheels turning in her mind.

"Rollins-"

"You had to tell Dodds that I'm pregnant, huh?"

"I didn't know how to explain why I needed to talk to Declan. Dodds asked if I had a thing for Declan, which is a huge no. But he needed to know why."

Amanda pushed the noodles around in her bowl as a long sigh left her chest.

"Am I actually suspended now? Like I won't even get paid for my medical leave?"

"Amanda-"

"Just tell me!" Amanda exclaimed, interrupting Olivia.

"I was trying!" Olivia exclaimed, as she turned to face Amanda. Her face was flushed, and tears were brimming in her eyes.

Olivia reached out and brushed the hair from Amanda's face, before using the pad of her thumb to rub away a few tears.

"Sweetie, you are not in trouble. Dodds knows how I'm dealing with this surprising news. He will not get involved, since I know what I'm doing. I'm trying to do what is the best for you and your baby... Everything will be okay."
