Okay, so I know Eleanor doesn’t actually have a sister. I just imagined her one :L okay? Deal with it my lovelies. In my alternative universe Eleanor has an older sister, even if she doesn’t in real life. Just to clear that up :0]  (anyone want to name her? Lol)

Sorry for the late update, as I’ve explained to @InsaneJester I’ve had a lot of crappy school work to deal with this week, and it was my birthday on Friday woooop (9th Nov) 16 whoop whoop...

Anyway, this is dedicated to you @InsaneJester, as you’ve been sitting on the edge of your seat for this chapter for way to long :] ENJOYY x

Chapter 5

I looked myself over in the mirror. I need to look good, I need to make Niall see that I’m better than Eleanor. Seems stupid really, I can’t turn him gay, but I can try. I didn’t even know if Niall would be at the party, but I suspected he would be considering he’s close friends with the host, Zayn. I clipped my suspenders onto my cream coloured chinos, and pulled the straps over my white and red stripped shirt. I checked my outfit out in the mirror, turning to see if my bum looked good, Hell yeah. I smiled and winked at myself.

“You’re such a freak, Louis,” a voice came from the doorway. I turned to see Lottie standing there arms crossed, leaning against the frame of my door. I rolled my eyes at her dramatically. “Do I look okay?” I asked, turning back to the mirror, unsurely. “You look fine, what’s the big occasion though? Where are you going?” she asked. “I’m going to a party, and I need to impress Eleanor” I half lied. I looked over at her and she smiled at me. “So is Eleanor a possible candidate for the girlfriend roll, huh?” she winked. “Maybe” I said smiling at her meekly. “Gutting, I was kind of routing for Niall to become your boyfriend” she said with a sad face. Was she being serious? I looked at her questioningly.

“Oh don’t play dumb Louis, I can see the way you too look at each other,” she said, rolling her eyes, entering the room to stand next to me. I returned my eyes to the mirror and she followed my gaze and looked at me through it. “What are you talking about?” I asked, not giving any hints away that she was somewhat right. “Louis, you can’t hide your feelings for him, from me, I could tell from the first day he came round you had a thing for him,” she said. I didn’t reply.

“How close you were sitting on the bed to each other, how you smile at him, how he smiles at you, you think I haven’t seen this before?” she smiled. “It’s a small bed! And a smile is a smile Lottie. I smile and a lot of people! That doesn’t mean I fancy them” i defended. “Why are you trying to deny this? Louis, I don’t care whether your gay or not. You’re still my brother!” she said. I looked at the mirror blankly. “What are you afraid of, Louis?” she said. “Are you afraid Niall doesn’t like you back?” I winced visibly. There was no point in hiding it anymore from her, she clearly knew me to well.

“Lottie, I know he doesn’t” i said. “He’s totally straight.” “Louis, do you really think that Niall would come here every night because he just wanted extra math help?” she said raising her eye brow. “For a guy who hates maths, he seems to be doing a hell of a lot of it lately, so what changed his mind about hating it?” she said.

“Free pizza?” I said smiling weakly. “Maybe that was an added,” she smiled. “But I’m pretty sure it’s because he got to spend time with you”

I turned to look at her, smiling. I encased her in a big hug. Maybe she was right; Niall might actually like me too. “So you really don’t care that I’m gay?” I asked. “Of course I don’t” she said hugging me back squeezing my torso reassuringly. I pulled away sighing looking into the mirror again.

“There’s a problem though, I’m pretty sure Niall has a crush on Eleanor.” I said. I looked at Lottie through the mirror. She looked back at me, her eye brows creased in confusion. “What makes you think that?” she asked. “Today, I saw him looking over at Eleanor, who was sitting next to me, he had this look in his eyes while she was like, pawing my arm,” I sighed, “Like he longed to be me, with Eleanor practically clawing at his arm, begging for his attention.”

Lottie looked at the side of my head, so I turned to look at her in the eyes. “How do you know he wasn’t longing to be Eleanor, to be in her position?” she said searching my eyes warily. “Because,” I said stubbornly. “Because what?” she questioned. “Because I’m not as great as Eleanor?” I said, but it sounded more like a question that a response.

“Don’t be stupid, Louis,” she said rolling her eyes. “I’m not being stupid, charlotte,” I whined, going to sit down on my bed. She followed and stood in front of me. “You really are, I just told you that Niall is almost definitely crushing on you, as much as you’re crushing on him,” she said, folding her arms. “Is Niall going to be there tonight?”

“What?” I said dumbly. “At the party tonight, will Niall be there?” she said sternly, she came and sat next to me putting a hand on my shoulder. “Probably,” I answered meekly. I looked down at my fingers fiddling with my nails. “Well, then” she said standing up. “Let’s get you dressed to impress!” she jumped up and down giggling. For a 14 year old she had a lot of energy. We are too similar.

She pulled me up, and started rummaging through my closet picking out a pair of red chinos. “I like your style, we just need it to be more outstanding,” she giggled, “stand out from the crowd, you know?” I smiled and changed into her chosen chinos I kept my red stripy top on. “This outfit’s kind of... red?” I said, looking in the mirror again. I turned to check out my bum, just as I had done before. It still looked nice. She looked me over, standing next to the mirror. “Loose the suspenders, Louis,” she said, Tossing me a black striped top; and a pair of black TOMS.  I changed and looked myself over again. I looked good, more outstanding, more me.

We heard a car horn sound from outside and I turned to the window looking out to see a car parked in front of my house with a girl getting out, Eleanor. “Eleanor’s here” I muttered rushing past my sister, giving her a hug on my way past. “Thanks Sis” I said, rushing down the stairs to get to the door.

I stopped and sorted myself out. I heard the knock I’d been expecting and I answered it smiling brightly. I was a little out of breath, and I smoothed out my hair gently. “You’re not wearing your glasses?” she asked, smiling at me. “I only need them for school and studying.” I said smiling stepping out of the door shouting ‘see you guys later’ and shutting the door behind me.

Eleanor led me to her Sisters car. I’ve got a weird feeling something terrible is going to happen tonight, I just can’t put my finger on what that will be. I shook it off anyway, it’s probably just nerves.

As the car pulled up to a stop; outside a house that I presumed was Zayn’s. It was large, the biggest on the posh street; it looked like the kind of place you would bring up a child like ‘Veruca Salt’. You know the girl, from Charlie and the chocolate factory; Spoiled beyond compare. The house has a kind of beauty I couldn’t put my finger on.

Although at the moment the beauty was ruined, by the drunken, randy teenagers and the stale smell of liquor that radiated from the house. Along with the intense sound of base music that had the ground vibrating as I stepped out of the car. It was a wonder the police hadn’t been called, for disturbing the neighbourhood.

As we said our goodbyes to Eleanor’s sister and Eleanor walked with me up the steps to the grand house. I could hear shouting from above me so I looked up, to see an extremely drunk boy shouting down to one of his friends. Idiots.

I looked over at Eleanor as she took my hand and led me into the house. I was starting to wish I’d never agreed to come. The smell was horrendous. I can’t even explain how horrible the smell was; it smelt like pee and stale cider, and maybe a hint of vomit; acidic vomit.

“Louis? Hey!” Came an angelic voice from beside me. I looked over in the voices direction to see Niall bounding up to me with a big smile on his face, he was stumbling a bit, clearly half drunk at least. “Oh, hey Niall” I smiled. A young pretty brunette girl popped out from behind him and ringed arms with him. I kept the smile on my face, trying to keep it from fading into a frown. I looked between Niall and the girl and Niall’s eye’s flickered to the girl hanging on his arm. “Oh Louis, this is Demi” he smiled. “Demi, this is Louis; he’s the new kid” he said gesturing between us. ‘The new kid’ I don’t know why, but that hurt just a little, was that all I was to him, The new kid?

Bloody hell Louis, of course because you ARE ‘the new kid’.

Keeping the fake as ever smile on my face. I nodded my head at Demi and said my obliged reply of ‘nice to meet you’ even if it was far from the truth. I bet they are dating, why am I so stupid, god I shouldn’t have listened to Lottie, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, Niall, clearly has a girl only interest.

Demi turned to Niall and whispered something in his ear, his face fell but immediately picked up into a fake smile, that you could see was fake because it didn’t quite reach is eyes. Why is he fake smiling? But before I could say a word, Demi was pulling Niall to a different room. Oh god no, get off my man! Dirty slut! Oh my god, NO!

“Are you okay, Louis?” Eleanor whispered in my ear, I looked over at her, she was standing on her toes hands rested on my shoulder. “I’m fine?” I said, but it came out more of a question. She just nodded and then pulled my arm and I followed her into what looked like the kitchen. She hands me  shot, after shot and I winced at the burn of the liquid. She past me a can of beer and I drank it hungrily, thoughts of Niall and that girl flashed through my head, I drank another shot and the night began to get very fuzzy.

“Louis?” came a distant voice my head spun I opened my eyes to see a dark figure above me a fuzzy glow surrounding a black smudge. Where the hell am I? I grunted as I felt my stomach start to heave, I turned to my side and let out a mouth full of liquor.  I turned back to the mumbling figure, I couldn’t work out what it was saying but I just grunted letting my head fall back on the ground, it felt wet, I could feel it sinking it into my hair.

“Harry! I need your help! Come here!” it shouted. There was pounding on the ground, it sounded like running, but I couldn’t be sure because my head was already thumping either the worst head ache I’d ever experienced. “What? Who-what?” came a husky voice, guessing it must be Harry. I couldn’t make anything out with my eyes. It was too dark. “Its Louis, I think he drank too much and passed out” said the first voice. I could barely hear it, over the thump of music and my head. “Help me get him home?” “of course” said the husky voice. I felt my body being lifted and I grunted and tried to stop them from taking me anywhere, my stomach turned in an uncomfortable way and I turned away from the hot body that was pressed against my side and threw up on the ground, I heard the voices curse and try to get a better grip on me, one person had my upper body the other had my legs.

I could hear the music getting louder and louder, as if I was getting closer, it hurt to hear it going through my head like a box of spanners being shaken. My eyes hurt as the surrounding got brighter.

Suddenly the noise got quieter and I could hear the muttering of the voices like they were arguing about something, it carried on for a long time as they carried me further, my head swam and I felt like a bucket of water being swashed about. I let out another grown and I turned like I had before and let out another load of watery beer.

“See? Why should I let him be in my car? Cant he go in yours?” said the husky voice. “My mum will kill me if I get sick on my leather seats again.” “But mines miles away!” the other voice argued. “Look, why don’t we put him down for a minute and you can run go get your car and I’ll wait with him?” the husky voice argued. I could feel my body stop moving and it was so sudden that I vomited almost instantly. Thankfully it didn’t hit any of the people that were trying to help me.

“Okay, just be careful with him” a soft voice said. “Yes” the husky voice said exasperated. I felt my body being placed on a paved ground, my body week and helpless and hand tried to sit me up putting my head betweens my knees. I felt a supportive hand on my back as I emptied my stomach onto the ground. “Directly over a gutter! Nice work, now go get the car!” the husky voice said and the hand on my back was removed and replaced by a huge hot hand that felt kind of out of place. It rubbed big circles on m back and it made my head spin in the most uncomfortable way.

After what seemed like forever I could hear a car engine coming closer. And a car door open and close. “Is he okay?” the soft voice said. As I felt my body being shifted and my arms being put around peoples shoulders, I still couldn’t make out any images, all I could see was fuzzy lights and silhouettes and it hurt to try and work out what was going on, so I just kept my eyes shut and went with my other instincts but they were not working as well as they should be.

“He’s fine, let’s just get him out of here” said the husky voice from my left.  As they loaded me into the car and wound down the window and tipped my head out. “I’m sorry mate, but you’re not being sick on me,” said the husky voice from beside me. As if on cue as soon as the car started to move I emptied another load of vomit out onto the road.

I felt my body being carried again and the huff and puff of people trying to move me. I opened my eyes and found the fuzzy lights of my hall way, I groaned at the bright lights and shut my eyes again. There was mumbling then shifting of positions so they could keep a better hold of my week body. Within a couple minutes I was laying on a familiar mattress and people where sorting me out with blankets. And I groaned and shirted slightly trying to get comfy.

“You go back down to the car, I’ll take it for here” said the sort voice, there was silence and footsteps and I felt a soft hand on my head.

“Where the hell is Eleanor, why wasn’t she watching how much you were drinking?” the soft voice muttered. I felt the faintest soft pressure on my head. “Bye Lou” and with that, I heard the door close and I blanked out.

(I’ve never been in the state that Louis is in at the end of this chapter, so bare with the fact this probably doesn’t live up to how it really feels, I tried to make it vivid, but this is just what I ended up with, I hope you enjoyed, leave a comment with your thoughts)
