Burning Sensation
15:32, 14 April 2024Katara flung herself onto her bed and sighed deeply. 'Finally! Home!' She thought to herself. The gang had been traveling to all of the colonies around the Earth Nation, celebrating the peace between the two nations, which is a beautiful thing and should be celebrated, but being invited to and attending every party can get exhausting. After a week, they had finally checked off their list of invitations and headed back to the Fire Nation palace.
Katara was extremely exhausted. Though the celebrations in the colonies weren't as bad as the one in the Fire Nation palace, with most of the girls respecting her and Aang's relationship and boundaries, it was still very tiring.
It was about 13:30, so Katara had some time to spare before dinner. She decided that due to her tired state, she would take a bath and then take a nap. She had not bathed for 4 days due to the constant traveling, and she felt extremely dirty. She propped herself up from her horizontal state on the bed and made her way to her duffel bag to unpack the things inside that she had brought with her on her trip.
She pulled out her toiletries and set them aside before putting everything else away. Clothes in the closet, books on the bookshelf, accessories on the nightstand, and so forth. She had finished unpacking and made her way to the bathroom with her toiletries.
She drew a nice, hot, sudsy bath and settled inside. She sighed at the feeling of it. She laid her head back and just closed her eyes for a couple of minutes, soaking in the relaxing flush of warmth that consumed her senses. Her head drifted to Aang like it did most of the time. She thought of how loving he had been during the last week. He was always loving, but this past week he had been extremely public about it- as if he was proud of her being his girlfriend and wanted the whole world to know.
She smiled at the thought of him.
———————————
"BAHAHAHA ARE YOU STUPID??" Sokka was (quite literally) rolling on the floor laughing at Zuko, who had attempted to cook a meal for the group for dinner. They- everyone except Katara, who was fast asleep, and everyone knew not to bother her in her slumber- had planned to take an evening to spend inside and cook their meals so they share their company in privacy. They needed a break from the entire publicity and crowds.
Zuko had attempted to make a simple fried rice dish. Though he had somehow managed to burn and undercook the rice at the same time- while oversalting it extremely- making it inedible, to say the least. The kitchen had started filling with smoke as Zuko desperately tried to fan it out the balcony window. Sokka was no help to this. He just laughed at his friend and commented on how skilled one has to be to mess up fried rice that badly.
Suki, Aang, and Toph were observing from the dining table, which was just a small coffee table-looking piece of furniture, it was too low to have proper chairs, so they had to sit on pillows around it. It wasn't unusual to them-something a lot of people had in their homes- so it didn't bother them.
Toph joined in on the belittling comments Sokka threw at Zuko, making Sokka laugh even harder, almost hyperventilating due to the sheer amount of smoke and little oxygen he was inhaling. Aang was just hungry, so he quietly sat there and was slightly annoyed at the fact that he now wouldn't have food for a while. This made him miss those celebrations they had attended for a split second. That's one thing about them- the food was always good.
Suki sat and observed quietly, giggling at the spectacle unfolding in front of her. Once the food had caught fire, Aang sighed and water-bended it out with a flick of the wrist. Everyone sighed in relief and continued laughing at Zuko. Aang eventually took over, scrapped the entire meal along with the pan which was honestly beyond saving, and started cooking something else.
He figured a simple stew would be filling and satisfying for everyone, without the risk of burning down the entire Fire Nation palace. He was sautéing some vegetables and spices in the pot when a groggy Katara emerged from her room and walked over to the kitchen where her friends were.
"What's going on?" She mumbled. "Oh hey Miss Sleeping Beauty, we were just preparing dinner before Zuko decided to kill us all," Toph replied, nonchalantly. Katara furrowed her eyebrows in confusion but decided she didn't want to know. Aang smiled at her before continuing to focus his gaze on the cooking going on in front of him.
"Hey, sweetie!" He said, chopping up some tofu. "Hi." She replied, slinking up behind him to give him a hug and a kiss on the back of his neck, which made him shudder discreetly. A blush crept on her face as she pressed her cheek against his back, just taking in his essence.
Sokka, who had now gotten up from the floor and was rubbing his sore abs, shot a glance at the two. "Alright we get it, you're in love but get a room, guys!" He said. Katara shot him an unamused expression and released her grip on Aang, pulling away from him to make her way to the table. "Sure Sokka, like when you and Suki get a room it prevents all of us from knowing what's going on between you too." She knocked on the wall beside her, which sounded quite hollow. "Thin walls." She continued.
Suki's eyes shot open in embarrassment and she looked at Sokka, a nervous chuckle trembling out of her lips. Sokka just rolled his eyes, as if he didn't care... Which he didn't. Suki looked away in disbelief and tried to change the subject. "Sooo what have you been doing the whole afternoon Katara?" She asked. Katara sat down on the couch, which wasn't too far away from the dining table, so she could still converse with her friends. Sokka sat down on the couch too, knowing food would take a while.
"I took a bath then knocked out, you?" She replied. "Well, I also took a bath, then strolled around the city for a bit with Sokka." Suki chimed, still refraining from sharing eye contact with Katara. Katara looked at Toph. "You Toph?" She asked. Toph looked up at the ceiling and replied, "I heard of an underground bending competition in the busier part of the city, and went to check it out." She paused to clear a loogie out of her throat. "It wasn't anything exciting though, kids have become soft these days. There barely was any blood!"
Katara cringed at Toph's concerning comment, considering most bending competitions comprised of teenagers and young adults. "Aang? What'd you do?" Aang looked up from his concentrated stirring to look at his friends. He shrugged. "Nothing. I meditated then took a nap." "Well, in that case, why didn't you just nap with Sugar Queen here?" Toph asked, completely nonchalantly.
Aang chuckled at this comment but didn't say anything. Katara looked away, blushing. Sure, they had slept together before, well, slept in the same bed and at the same time. The most they had done with each other were raunchy make-out sessions which usually didn't get too far without some sort of interruption, but it wasn't like they were planning to go any further, anyway.
They hadn't spoken to each other about it before, what they wanted to or were ready to do with each other, but they both just assumed that they were mutually content with the state of their sexual relationship. Aang of course, never pressured Katara into anything, even being the one to tiptoe around intimacy. It's not like he never wanted to mess around or be intimate with her, he just didn't like the thought of Katara feeling pressured into anything, and her comfort was far more important than any fantasies he wanted to experience outside of his imagination.
Katara was usually the one to initiate anything, with Aang always making sure it was okay. They were both always two consenting parties, so the constant reassuring questions from Aang killed the mood sometimes, she thought. She loved Aang, romantically and sexually, so she never understood why he was so cautious about fooling around. It wasn't like they were planning to raw-dog it anytime soon- they had been together for years now and hadn't done anything more than make out occasionally.
Katara never admitted it, but she felt like she wanted more in that aspect of the relationship. She always assumed that due to Aang's age, he never wanted to go any further. She briefly thought it could be due to his beliefs and culture, but when she casually brought it up in a conversation with Aang about his culture, he stated that the monks didn't have strong rules on intimacy as long as you are doing it with someone you love and trust, and are both consenting.
Both Aang and Katara never pushed anything, but they both were left wanting more, without ever bringing attention to these concerns. Sure, they both felt unfulfilled, but it wasn't like there was any rush to get into anything. They were both still teenagers, with Katara being 17 and Aang 15. But these teenage hormones made everything harder for both of them, sometimes making it feel impossible to keep those urges sated.
Katara was lost in her thoughts about the comment Toph had thrown out there. Maybe she should have napped with Aang. I mean, they had been together for three years, and only slept together a handful of times, with barely anything happening between them. Plus- cuddling with Aang was great, so why not just do it for 9 hours? On top of that, most of the couples she and Aang knew already shared rooms, like Suki & Sokka, and Zuko & Mai.
Aang, coincidentally, was thinking about the same thing. But he knew exactly why he and Katara never shared the same bed. Because without fail, every single time she slept with him, he simply could not control his bodily reactions. It didn't let him sleep deeply or comfortably and didn't let him start anything with her without it getting extremely painful and clouding his brain, only focusing on one thing. Which made him uncomfortable (not only physically lol), like he couldn't control himself around her. A blush crept on his face and he tried to avert his thoughts to the cooking he was supposed to be doing.
----------------------------
Zuko helped bring everything to the table and even set it and made drinks. He felt bad for almost burning a hole into the kitchen ceiling, so he helped everywhere he could. After a couple of minutes, the table was beautifully set with an array of delicious options. The main was a tofu stew with a miso base. Then there were a bunch of side dishes- vegetables, salad, bread, and some rice. Zuko placed the finishing touches on the table- the drinks. He placed the juice-looking concoctions next to everyone's plates except Katara and Aang.
Aang noticed this and looked up at Zuko, confused. "Hey, where are our drinks?" He asked. Zuko furrowed his eyebrows as if it was obvious. "Well, these are cocktails. I thought you guys didn't want any." Aang paused, looking over at Katara, who shrugged. He looked back at Zuko, with almost a puppy-eyed expression. "Could I have one too? They look good." Everyone at the table stared quietly at the Airbender.
Zuko chuckled. "You do know cocktails have alcohol in them, right?" Aang nodded. "I know." Toph started smiling. "And like, vodka. Not some soft stuff. This shit gets you hammered after a few servings." He continued. "Fucking spirits Zuko, just give him the stupid cocktail." Toph butted in. Zuko was about to turn to the kitchen to make another cocktail until Katara stopped him. "Uhh.. could I have one too? I mean, if everyone's drinking...why not?" She mumbled nervously. Zuko looked even more dumbfounded. "Sure!" He blurted out. "The more the merrier!"
The gang was fucking ecstatic to see how the two would act on alcohol. They didn't show it, but everyone was thinking about it. Would Aang get sad? Mad? Emotional? Flirty? Would he even get drunk? Were his chakras too aligned for that? These were some of the questions that swirled through their brains as they watched him take the first sip. He smacked his lips. "Mmm! That's not bad at all..." He said, taking another gulp. Sokka nervously chuckled. "I would slow down on that buddy, it's pretty strong- even for me."
"Well I can't taste any alcohol, I'm sure it's fine. I'm the Avatar, master of all four elements? I'm sure I can pace myself." Suki smirked. "Whatever you say, Avatar." She retorted. Katara started on her cocktail, making sure to take a tiny sip. He was right. You really couldn't taste any alcohol. She wasn't a stranger to cocktails though, she had had some the first time (and only time) she had gotten drunk. They sneak up on you.
The group got started on the food while conversing about the usual topics, how their day was, what Sokka had dreamed about, Zuko's complaints about the 'old farts' in government, and Toph's ideas for a new metal bending academy. At this point- about 20 minutes in Aang had finished his cocktail. Katara was about halfway through hers when she noticed his empty glass.
"So? How is it?" She asked. He looked over at her. "I don't know, I don't feel anything." He said, slightly disgruntled. Katara finished off her glass and replied, "Well you can always have another one, no?" Aang thought for a second. "Nah, I'll just wait a bit first, don't want to rush into anything." He said. Katara nodded but got up to get herself a second helping of the drink. She often didn't drink because Aang didn't drink, and she didn't want to be super drunk in front of him- since something embarrassing might happen. She did become super clingy and shameless when drunk.
But since it was his first time drinking, she assumed he had a low tolerance. So she started on her second cocktail. At this point, the gang decided to start playing some board games. Sokka recommended Catan, which no one objected to. They had just finished setting up the game when Toph had left the room. "I'll be right back. You guys can start without me. Don't wanna play anyway, y'know, can't see?" She was gone for a good 30 seconds before marching back into the room with two bottles of vodka in her hands.
"Where'd you get that?!!" Katara exclaimed. Toph let out a toothy smile. "The market." She replied. Sokka groaned. "Oh c'mon Toph, I just got over my last hangover!" Toph scoffed at him loudly. "Don't be a pussy Sokka, it's just one last time! It's celebrating the end of celebrations. Plus, Aang's gonna be drinking too! You wouldn't wanna miss out on that, huh?" Sokka almost broke his neck averting his gaze to Aang, who had said nothing about drinking more alcohol. "Wait really? That would be so funny!" Sokka replied while looking at Aang as if his puzzled expression didn't say anything.
Aang looked over at Katara, who was just kind of staring at Toph. "Are you going to drink?" He asked. Katara looked over to his face. It wasn't a sour or condescending expression. It was kind of playful. As if he were to say 'I'll do it if you do it' through his raised eyebrows and smirking lips. She felt a smirk creep onto her face, too. "I'll do it if you do it." His smirk turned into a mischievous grin.
Zuko got out the shot glasses and placed one in front of each person. Sokka rubbed his hands together in excitement, looking at the couple. "This is going to be hilarious!" Aang furrowed his eyebrows. "Why?" He asked, almost innocently. Sokka replied immediately. "Well, I'm curious to see how you'll stomach it. The first time I drank vodka I almost vomited after the first shot." The younger boy rolled his eyes. "As if that wasn't literally, like, a week ago." Sokka laughed at his comment after remembering that it was, in fact, at one of the celebrations they had visited in the Earth Kingdom.
During this time Zuko had already poured out shots for everyone. He had placed a jug of juice in the middle for chasing. Aang felt more confident than usual, turning to Sokka and declaring a bet. "You know what? I bet I can stomach this better than you. I bet- I bet Katara could stomach this better than you." Sokka threw his head back in a slightly condescending cackle. "As if!" "Uh yeah!" "No way." "Yes, way!" "No way, you're a monk! Monks are used to like, Tofu and water. I bet Katara throws that back easier than you ever will."
Katara furrowed her brows at these comments these boys were throwing around, sitting right between them as if they weren't slightly insulting to her. "Y'know what?" Aang asked, cockily. "What?" Sokka replied, with an attitude. "I bet you five silver pieces that I can take more shots than Katara with no emotion." Sokka stifled his laugh, knowing this was easy money. "I'll take that bet!" He said, cheerfully. "Hey!" Katara butted in, "I didn't agree to this!" Aang looked at her, confused. "Oh.. right." She scowled. "I want 10 silver pieces if I win! Five from Aang, five from Sokka." She pointed to both of the boys. Aang's eyes widened as he smiled. "Deal!"
After that, everyone raised their shot glasses into the air. "Cheers!" They all tipped their glasses back and let the clear liquid flow into their mouths, quickly swallowing it without letting its flavor creep its way into their tastebuds. Toph, Suki, and Zuko did not react, just slowly setting the glass down and sighing contently. "Hey, that's not bad at all." Suki chimed. Sokka, on the other hand, was twisting his face into a disapproving expression while clutching his neck with his hand. "Eugh... That's rubbing alcohol." He croaked. He immediately grabbed the jug of juice, poured himself a glass, and chugged it.
Aang and Katara stared at each other, trying to make out a single break in expression. Neither Katara nor Aang had reacted in the slightest to the alcohol. Aang had cocked his head back and gulped it down as if it were a simple glass of water. Katara took a little longer, her throat feeling as if it simply didn't want the liquid to enter her body. But she eventually managed. "So, how do you feel Aang?" Suki asked. Aang looked over at her, trying to conjure up the right words. "It's honestly not as bad as I expected, but I've never tasted anything like it. It's extreme for sure. But I still don't feel anything." Sokka got a little annoyed, not wanting to lose his bet. "I'm sure you just have to let it sink in for a bit." "Sure," Aang replied, with an attitude that the others usually didn't see from him.
The couple took a breather for 10 minutes, continuing the board game and grazing on the few snacks that were left on the table. Aang grabbed the bottle of Vodka and poured himself another shot, along with Katara. She looked up at him, confused. "Are we taking another shot?" She looked towards the group, who was not taking part in this. "No," Aang said, not breaking eye contact. "Just you and me, we still have a bet don't we?" He smirked. This side of Aang took Katara aback. He wasn't usually this confident. He was always more hesitant when it came to these types of situations. But she liked it.
She felt a rush of warmth creep up her face as he looked at her, almost cockily. "I guess we do, yeah." The couple lifted their glasses and clinked them. "You know you have to hold eye contact when clinking glasses, right?" Aang asked before she could take the shot. She was surprised by his seemingly random comment. "What?" She asked, staring at him. "Yeah did you not know that? It's seven years of bad sex if you don't. It's like a curse. Got it from the Earth Kingdom." Katara blankly stared at him. A lowly 'uhhhm...' was the only thing she could press out of her two lips.
Everyone burst out laughing. "I guess Twinkle Toes' filter doesn't work when he's drunk!" Toph exclaimed, slapping her knee as if this was the funniest thing she had ever experienced. Sokka was more laughing at his dumbfounded sister, not registering the sex comment in his intoxicated state. Aang moved his glass towards hers, not faltering in eye contact. She nervously looked up and met his gaze, clinking the two shot glasses together. "Don't worry, it's not real, it's probably just a myth." He commented slyly before letting the vodka pour into his mouth.
Katara hesitated slightly. "I wasn't-" She grumbled and took the shot, making sure not to show any expression. Aang stared at her after she took the shot, and she reciprocated. Alas, neither of them showed any hint of discomfort or disgust. Sokka grumbled incoherently at this, not wanting to lose five silver pieces. Aang, though, smirked. Katara noticed this from her peripheral vision but didn't give it any attention.
-------------------------------------
"I got my money on Aang!" "Are you serious?? Katara is your sister!!" "Oh nah sugar queen has got it in the bag I'm telling you."
After another 10 minutes, Katara wanted to take another shot. Aang didn't hesitate as he poured them some more vodka. This time the whole gang was invested in who was going to crack. They were sure someone was going to, this was their third shot and Aang's first time drinking. They lifted their glasses, Aang still persistent on eye contact, which made Katara blush. His eyes trailed down to her hand, gripping the shot glass, when he had an idea. "Hook your arm around mine." He said, sternly. She looked at him, dumbfounded.
"Huh?" Aang grabbed her arm and hooked his into hers, so they were holding their shot glasses to their own lips, but their arms were simply intertwined. This allowed Aang to get a whole lot closer to Katara, skin-to-skin. He didn't feel an ounce of hesitation or shame, he just knew he wanted to get closer to her. She giggled nervously, shocked at the confidence of her boyfriend. "This is also something I saw in the Earth Kingdom, I don't know the story behind it but I thought it looked cool." Katara found herself sinking into his eyes, not wanting to listen to a word he said, but wanting to listen to his voice forever.
Aang, again, was the first to down the shot, with Katara swiftly following behind him. They stared into each other's faces, trying to find even a hint of a microexpression. Nope. Aang furrowed his brows. He grabbed the vodka bottle and poured it again. Katara let her mouth hang open comically. "Again??" She slurred. "Again." He said, firmly. He tried not to drag his words like she had, but he failed miserably. As she grabbed her glass to lift it to her lips, he stopped her. "Like this." He declared.
He lifted his glass to her lips, and vice versa, so they were now able to give each other their shots. Katara didn't pull back, the vodka seemed to make her mind a lot clearer- a lot less hesitant. She just grinned and said, "Okay!" "Tilt your head back for me, baby?" He asked of her, in a quiet, almost sultry voice. Although the alcohol made it easier for her to be less jittery, it didn't stop her from blushing violently at his request, his voice sounding so...sexy. She felt herself blush even harder as she thought of the word her subconsciousness had just used to describe her usually so coy boyfriend.
She obliged to his command and tilted her head back. "Perfect." He mumbled, almost under his breath. He tilted the shot glass into her mouth, almost making her gag. She composed herself and swallowed the clear liquid- with no expression- before tilting the shot glass into his mouth. He managed to somehow STILL hold eye contact while she did so. (damn.)
At the fifth shot, Katara finally broke. Even though she was the one who wanted to immediately continue with the fifth. She somehow managed to push the vodka down her throat without it coming back up, which solicited a disgusted and annoyed look from her. Aang threw his hands up in the air and audibly celebrated, making the others wince slightly at the noise. "WHOOO! I am a CHAMPION!" He exclaimed. Katara let her head fall on the table as she tried to compose herself. Five fucking shots of 40% hard liquor along with two servings of heavy-handed cocktails. She was trying not to let her soul drift into the spirit world. "Ah fuck" She mumbled, trying to lift her head. Aang noticed this and immediately put his glory to the side and lay his hands on her shoulders. "Spirits, Katara. Are you okay?!" He tried not to sound too loud, but the alcohol didn't let him filter anything he was saying. "I'm good-" She tried to open her eyes fully to look at her boyfriend but the fifth shot was simply too much. Her face started turning pale and her expression morphed from discomfort to shock.
Aang caught on immediately and supported her weight while dragging her to the bathroom. She immediately threw up into the toilet bowl while Aang held her hair and drew circles in her back with the palm of his hand. He was extremely worried for his girlfriend. "I'm so sorry sweetie, I shouldn't have pushed you like that." She was absolutely fucking retching her guts out, trying not to be too loud- or disgusting. After she had gained some composure to be able to reply, she did. "No sweetie- not your fault. I wanted the fifth shot! I just need to sober up a little." She slurred heavily.
Aang patted her back. "I know, but I should have noticed that it was overkill and stopped you. I'm sorry." Katara wiped her mouth with her sleeve, which made her cringe after she realized what she had done. "It's okay, I just need some water. I'll be fine" The color on her face had sprung back, and she didn't seem like she was fighting death itself anymore. Aang smiled at her. "Then let's go get you some water."
---------------------
"I WIN!!"
Katara and Aang had been trying to recreate obscure yoga poses Katara had seen in a book she bought at the market about health and fitness, for her healing. They hadn't officially made it into a competition, but Katara was treating it like one. "HOW? How are you so much more flexible than I am?!! I'm LITERALLY a monk! I train every day?!" Katara giggled sloppily at him. "Well, I'm a girl!" She retorted as if it was the most sound argument she had ever conjured. "Wha- That doesn't even make any sense!!" Aang was genuinely taken aback by her flexibility but wasn't unpleasantly surprised.
After that, Katara wanted to try the airplane pose. Aang lay on the ground, on his back, with his feet and arms up in the air. Katara would place her stomach/hips onto his feet, and use her hands to balance herself. This pose allowed her to be held up in the air, hence the title. She was giggling uncontrollably until the couple toppled in on themselves. They were both laughing hysterically, trying to breathe for air so that they didn't suffocate.
Throughout the late evening, the couple had fooled around childishly, playing kid's games like tag and hide and seek. They choreographed a dance together, with Sokka volunteering to beatbox in the background. They had played multiple board games and even games like tic-tac-toe and rock-paper-scissors. It was a good 3 hours before they were both sitting on the couch, chests rising and falling rapidly from the amount of running around they had done.
Katara was pleased with how she had spent her time drinking with Aang and was ready to go to bed before she had the most brilliant idea. "Pillowfort!!" Aang looked up at her with droopy eyes. "Wha?" He pressed out his lips, groggily. Katara's eyes lit up as she sat up and spoke to him. "Let's build a pillow fort! I always wanted to as a kid but never got the chance to! Please?" Aang tried to register what she was saying in his brain, to process the information and allow him to formulate a calculated response- but all he could say was, "Okay..."
She stood up and lazily dragged him to her room. He obliged and slumped his way over. She opened the door and threw herself onto her bed, wrapping herself into her sheets as if she were ready to go to bed right then and there. Aang looked down at her. "What did you want to do again?" He asked. She looked up from her cocoon-like state and stared at him blankly before responding. "I wanted... to build a pillow fort- but I'm tired." She replied slowly.
"So maybe we can take a break... or a short nap and then build... later!" She said as if she were already drifting to sleep. Aang just shrugged and flung himself onto the bed, lying next to her. He wasn't touching her, just kind of lying in the same bed as her- eyes wide open with his hands on his chest. She looked up at him. "Sooo... Do you want to stay?" She asked coyly. Aang tried to conceal his shocked expression when he realized what she was asking him.
Although it wasn't inherently anything bad to nap or sleep together, he knew what would happen if he fell asleep with Katara in his arms. And intoxicated? He didn't know if he could control himself around her. "I- Um... Are you sure?" He looked away to try to conceal his blush. Katara was shocked. Until now he was usually so confident, not shy like he always was- and was right now. She didn't want to take no for an answer though, and she looked at him with puppy eyes.
"Please? I'm so cold..." Katara was lying. She was not, in fact, cold. She could even use a little breeze right now. Her whole body was burning up at the sight of Aang lying next to her with flushed cheeks. The room was dimly lit with the shine of the fully lit moon piercing through her window. This lighting dressed his toned biceps perfectly, allowing her to see the nooks and crannies of his muscles. This just made her even warmer. She opened up the sheets to allow him inside to cuddle with her.
He couldn't say no to that, so he crawled inside and wrapped his arms around her, so they were now spooning. He tried his best to allow as much space as possible between their hips, but Katara- who was, as she said, 'cold'- tried to get as much skin-to-skin contact as possible. She cuddled up closely to him, eventually closing the gap between them fully. This meant her ass pressing onto him almost too perfectly. His body tensed up as he tried to think of something else. 'Old men... Old men... Old men...' He whispered in his mind, trying to push down the feeling that was growing down south of him.
Katara twisted her torso so she could say something to him clearly. He prayed she hadn't felt anything out of place behind her, and that she wasn't going to bring it up right now. "Will you give me a good night kiss?" She asked, innocently. Aang couldn't say no to her drippingly sweet voice, so he nodded. She turned around to face him so he could kiss her. He leaned down and gave her a quick peck on the cheek, which forced a 'seriously?' expression out of her. "Alright, funny. Give me a real kiss." She said as if he had pecked her as a teasing joke. He hesitated but knew he couldn't say no to her. He leaned down and kissed her. He planned for it to be a swift, innocent kiss- nothing too raw or passionate to hinder his flustered state from getting any worse. But Katara had other plans. She grabbed the back of his neck and kissed him deeply. The change in pressure on his lips made him groan slightly, only motivating her more. She grazed her tongue on his bottom lip, which he didn't decline, and she slid her tongue into his mouth.
It was deep. It was intimate. It was something the two usually didn't share as a simple good night kiss. The alcohol only made it worse. It made the two bolder and brasher. Making every little graze of the tongue and nip of the lips feel like a thousand tiny needles piercing through their bodies in waves. Katara's head went cloudy with desire. She only wanted one thing at this moment- Aang. Aang didn't know what she was trying to do, he was just surprised by the extremely hot kiss they were sharing. She pulled back and looked into his eyes briefly, which sparked with lust, before going back and kissing him again. This kiss wasn't any different, their emotions clashing with each other like the sky and the sea in a summer storm. She moaned into the kiss, which made Aang twitch with anticipation. She moved along to the edge of his lips, then to his jawline, spreading sloppily placed kisses where her mouth led her. She got to his neck when she started applying more pressure, noticing how positively he reacted to the sensation. An unsolicited, deep moan slipped out of his throat as she continued. "Katara..." He groaned. This just made her want him more. She moved down slowly to his collarbone. "Katara..." He said, louder. Again, she took this as a sign to continue. She had pushed the fabric of the neck of his shirt down to continue before he pulled her away and stopped her.
She looked at him, his face flushed and his lips swollen. His eyes hung low with lust and love. He looked at her. "Katara... What are you doing?" Katara immediately felt shame surge through her body. Her mouth parted slightly in pure horror. "Did you... not want to?" She asked hesitantly. "No...but that's the furthest we've ever gone and... we're both drunk." Katara looked down at her hands that were fumbling with the bunched-up fabric of Aang's shirt she had instinctively grasped onto. She looked back up at him with longing eyes.
"Aang...I want you. Please."
