The She-Elf

***I own Elyksia (Pronounced El-Eek-See-Ah) and King Delfar***

"What's taking Bofur so long?" I asked.

I was sitting next to Kili, gripping onto his hand, leg bouncing with nerves.

"He'll be back. Bofur has never let us down before." Fili assured me.

"Da? Is that you Da?" Sigrid called out from the balcony.

Oin, Fili and I tensed when we heard something on the roof.

Suddenly Sigrid screamed and stumbled into the house. She tried to pull the door shut but an Orc shoved his way in.

Oin was quick to throw some nearby dishes at it's head. It stunned the Orc and sent him reeling back as another busted through the roof, causing Sigrid to scream again.

I was on my feet in seconds ready to defend Kili with everything I had.

One Orc hit Sigrid in the chest knocking her onto her back on a bench. Fili body slammed the Orc. This time it was Tilda who screamed as her brother pushed her towards the table, signaling for her to hide under it.

Another Orc came down through the ceiling.

Sigrid yelled at her brother and sister to stay down.

Bain flipped a bench up hitting the Orc.

I heard Kili struggling behind me. I whirled on him.

"Don't even think about it." I snapped knowing he was trying to get up to help.

I grabbed a frying pan and bashed it into the face of one of the Orcs that was getting a little too close.

Another Orc was at the door, when it suddenly fell to the ground.

"Tauriel?!" I cried as she walked into the house.

She started fighting off Orcs, like the badass she is.

Then another body dropped from the ceiling, this one was definitely not an Orc. His long blonde hair was the first thing to give him away.

"Legolas?" I whispered.

Of all people to save us from Orcs, I never thought Legolas would be one of them.

A battle raged inside the small house. Fili fought one Orc, Oin protected the kids, I stood guard over Kili and Tauriel and Legolas fought off the rest.

An Orc came barreling over shoving me out of the way with more strength that I expected. I flew across the room and he advanced on Kili.

Kili screamed as the Orc grabbed his leg, dragging him to the end of the bed.

"Kili!" I cried as I shoved myself to my feet.

I grabbed the nearest weapon, the leg of a chair and ran at the Orc. I bashed it over the head successfully getting it's attention. It turned on me grabbing the chair leg and lifting me off the floor. I let go and dropped. The Orc kicked me to the ground and put his foot on my chest. He had no problem pinning me down. I was only 4 feet tall and weighed next to nothing. I struggled under his boot as he raised his blade.

"Ashryn!" Kili cried.

I'd never heard such panic in his voice. I watched as he fell to the ground as he tried to get to me.

Suddenly a dagger embedded itself in the Orcs throat, and he tumbled off of me.

I looked up to see Tauriel make sure I was ok before jumping right back into battle.

I quickly crawled over to Kili who was now on the floor. He pulled me into his arms and held me as tightly as he could.

All that could be heard was the clashing of metal and the groans and cries of the Orcs as they died one by one.

"Get down!" Fili yelled to Bain, pushing him under a table.

One Orc managed to escape and yelled something to the others. I heard Bolg's voice as he shouted commands to his troop.

And just like that it was over.

"You killed them all." Bain said in amazement as he stood from his hiding place next to Fili.

"There are others." Legolas assured us. "Tauriel. Come." He said as he made for the exit.

I looked to Kili and he looked worse than ever.

"Oin!" I called out as I laid him down.

"We're losing him." Oin said looking up at Tauriel.

"Tauriel, please. We need you." I begged.

She was a pure blooded Elf, I knew she possessed healing powers.

She looked at Legolas and he repeated her name before jumping off the balcony.

Tauriel moved to look out the door as Kili groaned in pain. She paused, watching Legolas leave.

I got up and went over to her.

"Tauriel, please. He's my everything, I can't live without him, I wont lose him. I saw the way you looked at him back in Thranduil's Kingdom, if you care about him as much as I think you do, you'll stay and help save him. Please! I'm begging you."

I would do whatever she wanted for the rest of my life if she just stayed and helped us save Kili.

She looked back at Kili and sighed. Just then someone came running up the steps to the house.

"Athelas." Tauriel whispered when she saw what Bofur was holding.

He found the kingsfoil!

She took the plant from his hand.

Bofur looked confused.

"What are you doing?" He asked sounding slightly concerned.

"I'm going to save him."

I smiled up at her with tears in my eyes. Now Kili had a chance.

Tauriel began grinding up the weed. Kili screamed as Oin, Bofur and Fili lifted him off the floor and onto the table.

He was writhing and flailing around in agony.

"Hold him down." Tauriel instructed.

The boys held his body down as I held his face in my hands holding his head still.

"Kili, listen to me, this is probably gonna hurt like hell, but it's our only hope." I said. "Look at me. I love you. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."

He fought against his brothers hold and freed one of his arms, bringing it up to hold my hand.

Tauriel looked at Kili's leg. His skin was already black from where the arrow had struck him.

Tauriel rubbed the ground up weed in her hands as she began chanting in Elvish. I couldn't even decipher what she was saying. I had been chased out of my kingdom before I ever got the chance to learn magic.

She pressed the green paste into Kili's wound, causing him to scream and clamp his hand down on mine.

Sigrid jumped in to help hold him down and called for Tilda to do the same.

Tauriel kept chanting and eventually Kili passed out from the pain. I sighed in relief. At least he wouldn't be hurting while he was out.

"I've heard tales of the wonders of Elvish medicine. That was a privilege to witness." I heard Oin say to Fili.

Tauriel had finished doing all she could to heal Kili, now all we could do was wait for him to wake up.

I was at his bedside refusing to leave him.

"Ashryn." Kili whispered as he came to.

"Kili." I breathed out in relief.

He grabbed my hand and I leaned forward laying my head on his chest looking up at him.

"I thought I was gonna lose you." I mumbled, tears welling in my eyes.

"You'll never lose me."

I smiled and kissed him.

"I'll be right back." I said.

The last thing I wanted to do was leave his side but I had to speak to Tauriel. She looked down at me as I stepped up beside her on the balcony, outside.

"Thank you."

She smiled but said nothing so I kept going.

"I don't know what I would have done if we had lost him. I don't know how I can ever repay you or even thank you for saving his life."

"You know, you could have done the same." She replied.

I shook my head.

"I never learned magic."

"Really?"

"I was born in Elyksia."

"Ah." Tauriel nodded.

"So you know." I stated more than asked.

"I've heard stories."

"Well I'm sure they're likely true. Elyksia is not a good place for female Elves. Especially half breeds like myself. When King Delfar found out I was not of pure blood, he tortured my mother to find out who my father was. She was then killed and I was beaten and chased for 3 days before they gave up."

"I had no idea. I'm sorry."

"I'm not." I said confidently. "I miss my mother, of course, but if all of it had never happened I never would have ended up in Bag End and I never would have found Kili."

"Bag End?" Tauriel asked wondering why I was there and how on Middle Earth I met a bunch of Dwarves in a little Hobbit village.

I smiled and told her all about how I met the Bilbo, Gandalf, and the rest of the company.

I had a good feeling about this She-Elf. I think we're gonna be good friends.

***And that is it for the second Hobbit movie The Desolation of Smaug! Onto the Battle of the Five Armies! Still having so much fun writing this! I'm gonna be so sad when it's over!***
