Chapter 23- Run Run Run

Alexa's POV

Run. That was what my mind was telling me but, I couldn't move an inch. I was still, my body frozen in place. I would rather spend another day under Guy-sensei's hellish drill, rather than with this man. For some reason, I couldn't tolerate him like with Asuma or Kurenai. Well, he killed my mother and the rest of the clan members right in front of me.

Although his face was well hidden under his mask, I could tell the difference of his cold expression from back then to him now who looked even lazier and relaxed than Shika. He's too good at hiding his intentions.

"Alexa, right?"

I clenched my fists tightly. I don't have Naruto here, who could help me with the involuntary shaking of my body or someone else like Itsuki who would embrace me in his arms to distract me.

He smiled through his mask and my eyes were clouded with the memories of the past. I shut them close, forcing every inch of my mind to lock away those tragic memories that hunt me down up to this time.

"Can we talk?"

The alleyway was dark and secluded I hoped someone would appear beside this man, be it anyone. A big part of me wanted him to disappear and wished his appearance was just caused by my insane mind.

"Alexa?"

The street light flickered off and I couldn't see anything except for the halfmoon barely seen due to the clouds. The moment the light turned back on; he was already right in front of me, one step away. I yelped and I staggered backwards.

"I just want to talk about something.", he started, his hands in his pocket. I remained quiet trying my best not to do anything rash. He waited for a reply to receive nothing and he heaved a sigh. "Look. I don't know what kind of grudge you hold against me but, don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you or anything."

'He knew.'

His words caused me to take another step away. He narrowed his eyes at my actions before he understood that we were at a very close proximity so he took a couple of steps backwards.

"I'm Hatake Kakashi, and I'm pretty sure you already know me."

My body was tense as I nod my head. He smiled probably because I finally conversed with him although non-verbal.

"I noticed your suspicious actions from the past couple of days so, I want to clarify something."

My breathing hitched.

"Why?"

This one question raced a lot of answers in my mind.

'Because you killed my mother, my cousins, my clan members. Because you attempted to finish me off. Because you were one of the people who took away my childhood. Because you took everything away from me. Because I'm afraid you would kill me.'

I could go on and on but, my fear towards him only grew stronger. It was a good thing, no one was aware of my true identity. Or he would kill me on the spot or maybe he would right now if I don't answer his question. I looked down, taking my right hand in my left.

"You seem quite disturb."If I stay here any longer, I think I'm gonna go crazy. I took a step back then another, I don't care of what his thinking about me right now because all I want is to get away from here. I turned around then began running as fast as I can as if my life depended on it. I have to run away so, I'll live. I ignored his shouts and protests.

My body hurts. Tired from all the training early this day and now I'm running again? I went pass through streets and alleyways, not really quite aware of where I was going. All I want to do now is run. Run from my fear.

I couldn't breathe properly, nor could I run properly like a ninja. My body was numb from all the running including my mind that was a mess I didn't notice the small bump on the road. I tripped over and my body just gave in, I couldn't move any pars of my limbs. I look up to see a wall, a dead end.

'Well, fuck my life.'

Why was I running anyways?

My vision was getting hazy, caused by the panic attacks. I make out that someone was walking towards me. The person crouch down and I just sighed when I saw Kakashi eye smiling at me.

'What makes me think that I can run away from the legendary, Hatake Kakashi? I'm such an idiot.'

"You were fast.", he complimented and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What do you want?", I growled and he chuckled.

"Mah. Mah. Mah. Don't be so feisty.", he brought his hand down towards me and I shut my eyes close, scared.

'Is he gonna kill me?'

"I can't leave you lying on the ground, can I?", I opened my eyes to see myself leaned against the wall, sitting on the dirty floor.

He placed his one hand inside his ninja pouch and I covered my body with my arms for defense.

He gave a chuckle and took out his Icha Icha Paradise book. "You have to calm down."

I huffed and brought my knees to my chest, while hugging myself before looking at him once again. Regaining my calm composure was no easy feat it took me an entire 10 minutes.

"So, alright now?", I looked away before nodding. He backed against the wall across mine and leaned himself on it while he closes his book.

"I have learned from Hokage-sama that you were labeled as a spy.", I looked down and he continued. "Well, you were quite suspicious and the fact that you came from the Hidden Village by the Waterfalls hints a lot."

I never gave a reply.

"It's a good thing you were not indeed a spy and it was all a misunderstanding but...", I gulped down. "...it looks like you received quite the trauma from Ibiki-san."

I hug myself tighter remembering how he prickled out my nails as he smashes my fingers while slicing through my skin, including his heavy punches that collided with face or gut every time.

"And there's something bothering me.", he looked up from the sky before lowering down his gaze. "Why were you so scared of me?"

He sighed at my silent response before speaking again. "Usually, I don't care whether someone hates me more or less, as much as you do but, you're a fellow shinobi of Konoha. You know what I mean, Alexa, now let's clear out this situation between you and me."

He looked at me straight in my eyes, waiting for me to speak but, I can't seem to do it.

"Naruto talks about you a lot."

"Really...?", my eyes widened in shock when I realized I actually said something after remaining quiet all this time.

It was Naruto, I love that boy so much. It's my instinct to reply casually and almost immediately.

He close eye smiled, nodding and gave that comfortable vibe. Why was I avoiding him anyways? He's not a crazy maniac who randomly kills people around. I stared at him more like his form.

How could I forget how much I simp for this hot daddy material in my past life? How could I forget that I watched him together with everyone else ever since I was a child? How could I forget, Naruto was my favorite childhood show? It looks like, these past few days, I have mistaken myself for Asuna. I'm not her, and she's not me. I'm Alexa, an unfortunate soul who ended up in the Naruto world.

"It's not...that I hate you...", I started and he raised an eyebrow. "It's just that...I...I'm scared..."

He placed his finger on his chin. "I see...can you tell me the reason why?"

"I'm sorry...but, I can't...", he pried no more and walked towards me.

"That's...understandable."

"You don't have to be scared of me.", his voice was relaxing. "Everyone in this village is a family thus, we protect each other, Alexa."

His words moved something in me. This body was scared but, I was no longer.

He reached his hand towards me and I contemplated whether to take it or not. These past days, I was the one who was acting really weird not him. Moreover, I was the one who have an ulterior motive not him, if I really want to destroy this place, I have to fool them first. Then make them attached to me.

I was about to take his hand when my vision was clouded with blood and I shook the hallucinations away before standing up on my feet, not taking his hand.

"Guy seems to have overworked you.", I rub the sore spots on my body.

"Yes..."

"Mah, you have my fair share of luck, I'm hoping you'll be alright."

I was beginning to see him the way I did before in my past life. He's a kind-hearted man although he's still a pervert.

"Thanks...Kakashi-sensei..."

'I finally get to call him sensei...to think that I'm so happy to have talked to him...I have probably really lost my mind.'

"No worries."

He's really tall up close.

"So, have you sent my regards to Aiko?", I shook my head a little embarrassed.

"Not yet...gomenasai...Kakashi-sensei..."

'Ahhh...it feels good to call him sensei like that...moments ago I was running away from him and seconds later here I am falling head over heels on this man. I have really gone crazy; I should ask for Inoichi-san's help on my mental state...'

"It's okay. Then your apartment is probably around this block, right?", I looked around to realize that he was right.

"Yes...", I turned to him. "How did you know?"

"W-well...", he scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "I just accidentally know..."

I narrowed my eyes. "You're a bad liar, Kakashi-sensei."

He chuckled.

"You did not stalk me, right?"

"You should probably take a rest now, Alexa.", he quickly disregarded the topic. "Then, later!", the moment I blink my eyes he was gone.

He's damn fast, I didn't even saw him leave.

Well I guess it turned out well. I never expected that kind of ending though.

I walked back to my apartment and quickly took a shower, changed to my clothes then headed towards the bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was knocked out sound asleep.

"Why?!", the voice was trembling.

"How could you do this?!", it continued.

A scene was displayed in front of me quite vivid and familiar. Cold and dark hazel eyes looked back at me, his grip on his katana firm as he whips it out right before me.

I knew that he was going to kill me but, I couldn't seem to accept that fact.

"Asuna-hime...", he pointed the tip of the blade coated with blood on my neck and I trembled, not in fear but, rage. "...please come with me..."

I stepped back not expecting the words that came out of his mouth.

"No...I won't...I will never!", the voice shouted growling.

"If you do not wish to die come with me!", he raised his voice authoritatively.

His eyes were not like the ones that I was accustomed to. They were desperate for something.

I took another step back.

"Hime-sama!", I shook my head in disagreement.

I wasn't affected by how scary his voice was.

He quickly trudged his steps towards me, towering over my petite body.

"I hate you!", he stopped on tracks, his eyes widening before he gritted his teeth.

"ASUNA!", he called out as if trying to make me snap out. His hand reached for my me and I smacked his hand away, something was consuming my body, hatred and agony.

I felt something in my eyes, they sting for some reasons unknown and I could see something blue stretching all around his body, it was mostly concentrated in the middle of his chest. I turned around, not noticing the horrified look on his face as if he saw a devil.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I look around at my home that was supposed to be peaceful but now was like hell. Then I felt a cold and sharp sensation running through my back and I gasped out loud before choking on my own blood.

I fell down with a loud thud, from the corner of my eyes I saw my mom lying on the ground. I thought she was supposed to be dead but, her eyes were open, tears rolling down her cheeks. I reached out for her as she reaches out her hand for me.

The black marks on her body was fading away, being concentrated on her palm. I crawled myself towards her.

"Mom...", I called out.

I didn't know how I could be still alive at the state I was with my body almost being split to two. I held her hand and something electrified when our skin touched. It was excruciatingly painful I couldn't even scream.

"Live...my daughter...he...will keep you safe...", she whispered with guilt and sadness in her voice then she final breathed her last still looking at me.

My eyes suddenly snapped open and I tap the alarm clock off that was repeatedly ringing in my ears. The room was once again filled with silence.

'Another one...'

That nightmare had been going on for the past few months, I should be used to it and yet it still felt like the first time as if I was stuck in that night.

I sat up, looking beside my bed, on top the side table I smiled at the picture of mom, jii-chan and Haru, next to it was the group photo of team 13. I brushed my fingers slightly on the picture frames, mostly on the red-haired kid. "...morning..."

It was still 5:01 in the morning, training starts at 6:00. I still have an hour left to prepare. I remembered what occurred last night, and I mentally smacked myself for being so weird around Kakashi. I hoped he forgets about that, its so embarrassing. Well, if Asuna was on my stead, she would have acted the same or even worse.

I eyed the unclosed doors narrowing my eyes a bit. I'm pretty sure I locked them last night. If someone trespassed, my seals would have activated alarming me there was an intruder. Standing up, I headed outside, towards the balcony area to meet the cold breeze of the morning. I shivered slightly only to find Sasuke sitting on the edge holding an onigiri in his hand.

I quickly hid away the surprise on my face before walking beside him. "Morning.", I stifled another yawn.

"You finally woke up loser.", I chuckled at the nickname.

"So, to what pleasure do I have for the great Uchiha Sasuke to be on my balcony first thing in the morning?", he took a bite still staring ahead.

"You have a nice view from here."

"Yes. A perfect view of your apartment I must say."

He scowled and I giggled at him. I look ahead to where he was looking at. Just above the building he was residing in. The 4 stone hokage faces were clearly seen including a big part of the village below.

"How are you doing?", he asks out of nowhere.

I leaned on the edge and just watched the scenery.

"Still the same.", from the corner of my eyes I saw him part his lips a little about to say something only to close them again.

"Hn."

I felt his watch on my arms. Looking down I saw a stain of blood on them, black marks slightly peeking out. I shifted and eyed him.

"Any problem?", he looked away ignoring my question before munching down on his onigiri.

He remained quiet before standing up and jumping all the way to his apartment, in front.

"Brat.", I whispered.

I went back to my room and headed to the bathroom for a nice morning bath, I hissed slightly when the recent scratches on my skin, I probably made last night, collided with the warm water. I took my time and began healing myself.

This was an everyday routine. It would greatly help me to expand my chakra reserves if I began my morning by using chakra. My body is used to it anyways, if it breaks, I'll just heal it, it was given to me so, I can pretty much do anything I want with it.

Quickly heading out of the bathroom, I changed to my usual clothes. A white yukata, a fishnet shirt underneath, black leather pants and a kunai pouch attached on my right thigh, bandages are rolled around below my knees to my ankles.

Brushing my hair into a high ponytail before wearing my head band, I made my way towards the kitchen to cook some breakfast, just two sunny side ups with bacon and a couple of toasted bread, nothing too special before I brushed my teeth.

Setting out of my apartment after wearing the standard shinobi shoes, I wondered when the shinobi boots, I had Tenten's father personally customized be finished. I really need it, now that the Chunin exam is approaching. I hit down the street before I remembered something.

'The Chunin exam is just around the corner, which means the Wave arc is finally going to happen! Shit what about that kid. I know that he's gonna be alright but, I'm still scared that something bad may happen, considering I was here. Oh jeez, he's Naruto, he's gonna be okay.'

Moreover, if he somehow dies or anyone in Team 7 dies, it would be a great benefit for me. I stopped on tracks, have I really become this inhumane? One moment I was worried about Naruto, the next moment I was wishing for him to die.

It's probably me just scared how strong he will get in the future and the more of a threat he would be to my plans. I need to get rid of these emotions and attachments. I have to decide when I'll have to kill him. The sooner the better.

I closed my eyes. 'Gomen Naruto...'

Taking a leap, I run on the roofs towards training ground number 9 to find the team there, excluding Tenten.

"Good Morning, Lhexi-san! You're as gorgeous as ever!", Lee stated and I smiled back at him.

"Good morning, everyone.", I greeted.

Guy-sensei flashed me a wide grin. "It's a good day to pump those muscles!", he yelled.

"YOSHAA! I can't wait to train, Guy-sensei!"

"As expected of you Lee! Youth burns in your heart!"

I turned to Neji who just watched in utter disgust and I giggled at his expression. He turned to me somewhat glaring.

"It's a great day to be in such a mood, Neji-san.", he sighed crossing his arms.

"How could those two never get tired...?"

"Shouldn't you be used to it already?", he shrugs.

"There's no way.", we both stared at each other's eyes then he suddenly looked away.

'He's so cute.'

It's our first conversation he must be a little shy about it. Guy-sensei and Lee started their morning exercise leaving the two of us alone in the spark of dust. I don't want to join them, my body is still aching all over.

"Where's Tenten-san by the way?", I ask.

"She should be here in a minute.", he replied.

Just then a brunette dashed towards us."Morning! Lhexi! Neji!"

I waved my hand up in the air.

She arrived in front of us shooting a quick glance at Neji before hooking her arms with mine.

"You're late. Guy-sensei and Lee have already started.", Neji's voice was stern and slightly annoyed.

Tenten clapped her hands together bowing a little. "Sorry, sorry! Something came up."

Neji turned away. "We have to catch up with them.", he began running and we soon followed.

Today's morning routine consisted of running 50 laps around the village, punching and kicking a wooden pole until we drop dead then a set of aerobic exercises before I vomited again, this time Lee was with Tenten as they both pat my back continuously repeating that I did a good job.

"Oh, someone please save me."

We were walking inside the hall of the Hokage's building, while I was leaning my hand on the wall for support.

"You don't have to overdo it.", I turned to Neji.

"If I won't I will not get any stronger, Neji-san.", I smiled tiredly.

He heaved a sigh before looking forward. At the end of the corridors towards the exit opposite of us, I saw Team 7 walking alongside Tazuna.

'So, it's finally beginning, huh? That sure took a long time.'

Naruto was yelling at Sasuke, and Sakura was squealing at the same boy. Kakashi was just walking casually his nose on his book.

I guess it's a good thing that I'm no longer that scared anymore.

Their silhouettes were no longer seen but, Naruto's voice was still clearly heard.

'Still as boisterous as ever.'

"Lhexi. What are you doing? We have to go inside now.", Tenten called.

"Ah. Gomen.", I quickly went inside the hokage's office.

As per usual, the third hokage was looking stressed from the amount of paper works on his desk. He looked up from the document he was reading and smiled at us, particularly me...?

"Good Day Hokage-sama! What kind of mission are you giving us today?", Guy-sensei was energetic as usual.

"I was thinking of giving your squad team a C-rank mission.", all the genin beside me slightly shook with surprise and excitement.

"I see...What mission is it, hokage-sama?"

"I want you to find a suspicious man who recently break inside the village a few moments ago. According to intel, he's atleast in between a genin to low chunnin level.", he dropped a rough sketch of the man.

I eyed the drawing in Guy-sensei's hands.

"We understand, we'll quickly catch this man."

"That's great to hear. That is all."

We all bowed and quickly rushed out of the hokage's building.

Encircling the portrait, I memorized his characteristics in my head.

"We would have to separate individually to search for him faster. Once you catch him, report. If any of you finds him dangerous, retreat and ask for help immediately.", we nodded simultaneously.

We were given communicating ear pieces, and I was wondering how they have such things but not cellphones. If they have phones here I would have quitted being a ninja.

I was caught a little surpise when Guy-sensei outstretched his hand upside down.

"Let's get ready!"

"Lee! Neji! Tenten! Lhexi!", he yelled.

Lee placed his palm on top of Guy-sensei's hands.

"Mou. Again?", Tenten was exasperated nonetheless placed her hand. They turned to me and I sweat dropped before joining them. We turned to Neji who's eyes twitched in annoyance before sighing while he placed his hand on top of mine.

"GO!", Lee and Guy-sensei shouted before we all dispersed.

I stood on top of a pole, remembering the appearance of the man who is in his early thirties, with a noticeable scar running across his face diagonally.

There are always certain places where spies usually hide. They could blend with the crowd and with transformation jutsu it would be hard to catch them, but with Neji's Byakugan he could easily pinpoint the man. Bars, pubs, secluded streets, those are places with a high chance he would hide.

I jumped down on the ground landing gracefully on my feet when I heard Neji's voice.

"I've captured him."

'That was fast. As expected of Neji.', I thought in my head.

"Fast!", Lee's screamed and I positioned the ear piece away from me.

"Good Job!"-Guy-sensei.

I breathe a sigh of relief. That was far easier than I thought. I paled when I remembered we are gonna train again after this.

I was about to run back when Neji spoke once again from the other side.

"He escaped. *cough* *cough*He used some kind of *cough* smoke bomb."

"Neji?", Tenten's voice was worried.

"Are you alright Neji-san? Where is he right now?", I asked.

"I'm fine. *cough* He's heading at 12:00. Be careful."

"Got it. I'm near his location.", I stated running ahead towards the gate.

"I'll go with you Lhexi-san."

"Yes. Hurry up Lee-san."

'Is he planning on escaping?', I ask in my mind.

I run on the road, looking from side side trying to spot him while being careful not to bump into anyone. Just then I noticed someone acting really strange while holding his shoulders in pain. No. He can't move his arm. This must be that man, Neji most probably blocked his tenketsu points on his arm.

He was wearing a cloak and once I noticed the huge scar on his face I immediately took out my kunai twirling it behind my back as I approach him. I hid my headband in my pocket while walking towards him.

"Ne ne ne, mister, are you alright?", I strained my voice to sound as innocent as possible.

He turned to me panickly before he relaxed when he thought I was just another kid.

"Y-yeah."

I tilted my head to the side. "Do you need any help?"

He looked around first before looking back at me. A sweat rolled from his forehead to his cheek. "Just don't tell anyone about me."

I nodded. "I got it."

Just as he turned around, to walk inside the dark alley, I whipped my kunai to the side. "Umm..mister?"

"Wha--!!!", I stabbed his arm before kicking him on his gut he skidded on the ground stopping against the wall.

"Hey mister. You should probably surrender yourself now.", I told him, my usual voice back.

He gritted his teeth before standing up clutching his wound.

"I can't be caught now...", I run forward another kunai in my hand. "Damn it!"

I reached for his stomach when he pulled out something from his pouch and threw it to me. I quickly covered my nose making sure not to breathe in the smoke that blocked my sight.

I leaped on top of a house, I don't know who belongs to, before crouching slightly watching the man run to the gate with his both arms limp.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Naruto and the others also heading the same way. I quickly dashed to his location, and felt eyes on me.

"Lhexi-chan?", it was Naruto.

I ignored him for a little while before running in the direction of the cloaked man. He had a horrified look on his face when he turned around and that was the moment I thought of copying Sakura's punch. I took my fist back and gathered enough chakra as possible. I evenly distributed it even on my arm so I won't fall back from the impact.

Controlling the amount is easy considering I pretty much mastered the basics of medical ninjutsu.

"Oi, Mister.", he turned around and pulled out paper bombs. "Take this!"

Before he could even activate them, my chakra enhanced fist collided with his stomach, I heard his bones breaking and I felt the ground crack from the impact. Dust circled around us, before he was sent flying against the wall, creating a crater much larger than his size.

The scarred man was literally glued on the wall as he cough up blood, his eyes rolled back. I wasn't expecting that enhancing chakra on my fist would be this powerful, seeing this was my first time, and just for experiment purposes. Well, I hope he's not yet dead.

"W-what power!", I heard Tazuna exclaimed.

"A-Al-Alexa-chan?", I turned towards Izumo and Kotetsu who was frozen in their feet from the sight, the weapons in their hands dropping to the ground.

"Oh, hey Izumo-san, Kotetsu-san."

The man with a bandage on his eye immediately shouted at me. "What did you do?! We just repaired that last week!", he pointed at the wall on the right side of the gate.

I laughed coyly before remembering they were at fault.

"Well, who's fault is it, that someone managed to infiltrate Konoha? Hm?", I asked whistling and Izumo and Kotetsu looked at me like I have found their deepest secrets.

"W-well...", they laughed awkwardly.

"Should I tell hokage-sama that you were neglecting your duties?"

They sweatdropped at the same time.

"No!", Izumo protested.

"You're so mean. Alexa-chan...", Kotetsu stated.

I smiled at them. "I hope hokage-sama doesn't keep you at that post for the rest of your life."

They were too shock and ashamed as depression lines covered them. How many years had they been stuck being chunin anyways?

"T-That's amazing! Lhexi-chan!", I turned to Naruto together with Team 7 and Tazuna who was still shocked.

Naruto went running towards me, holding the straps of his huge green backpack.

"How did you do that, ttebayo?!", his eyes were gliterring with sparkles.

I flicked his forehead and he stumbled back a little. "It's a S-E-C-R-E-T."

He pouted as he rub the red spot on his head. "Tche. Stingy."

I looked behind him to see Kakashi still reading his porn book not giving much care about what was happening. Sasuke was watching me then I saw him curl his fists into balls on either side of his waist as he trembled slightly. Sakura, was flabbergasted, red tints dusted her cheeks.

They walked towards me, and Sasuke was glaring at me at the same time assessing me. I don't like this feeling, my actions getting watched.

"Alexa! You're amazing!", I wasn't expecting that from Sakura.

"T-thanks, Sakura-san."

She smiled at me and shook my hands. "No need to be so formal, just call me Sakura."

I beamed at her. "Then, call me Lhexi."

We both giggled at each other until Sasuke interrupted our conversation.

"When did you get so strong?", he asks, infuriated.

"What's with that attitude teme?!"

I shrugged my shoulders. "Well, I have been training in hell these days."

I felt someone else's watch on me, I turned to the side to see Kakashi-sensei chuckling like a school girl at what he was reading before he lowered his book to his mouth, looking at me.

"Mah, that was quite the surprise, Alexa.", he stuffed his one hand in his pocket. "But, maybe you should try and control it next time. He could have died, you know?"

I glared playfully at him. "He went pass you, I'm sure you have noticed him. If you captured him before I did, I wouldn't have resulted to this."

He sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "I was too busy reading, I didn't noticed."

"Liar."

A humorous atmosphere grew between us until Naruto pulled the hem of my sleeves, I didn't saw how Kakashi's single eye inspect the cracked ground and the wall.

"Ne ne, Lhexi-chan. Can you seal my bag like you did before?"

His appearance changed to a particular red haired and when I blinked my eyes it was Naruto who was standing infront of me.

I happily nodded. I sealed his bag into a scroll and gave it to him.

"Just touch the seal and apply chakra to bring it back.", he nodded his head and I remembered he doesn't know even know what chakra is.

"Got it!"

Let's just leave it to Sakura for further explanation.

"Where are you going, anyways?", I ask him, although I already know the answer. Heck, I know the future.

"We're going outside the village! We have to escort this old man back to his hometown!", he pointed his thumb at Tazuna.

"Who are you calling old, you shrimp?!"

"What did you say?!"

Kakashi held Naruto by the back of his collar before he could even advance.

"Just be careful. Okay?", the blonde turned towards me before grinning brightly.

The Uchiha scoffed crossing his arms looking away.

"Don't worry too much, Lhexi it's just a C-rank mission.", Sakura stated probably thinking I was anxious for them because of what happened to my former team in the past.

"Still, any mission no matter how low ranked it is can get dangerous depending on the situation. It's also highly possible if your client is hiding something--", Tazuna sweatdropped. "--so never let your guard down, especially you Naruto, don't get too excited and always stay aware of your surroundings, do--!"

I felt something gentle bump into my head and I look up to see that Kakashi-sensei tapped his book on my head stopping me from mumbling. "Mah. Calm down. Don't think too much about it. They're gonna be fine. It's not like we're gonna go to war."

You never know Kakashi.

'Why does this man cares about my feelings anyways? I'm not his student. And we're not even that close.'

"But--!", he tapped his book again on my head.

"Don't worry. Even if something happens, I'll protect them.", he eye smiled. "I won't let my comrades die."

Even if I fear him, my respect for this man shot up.

"Loser, if you have time to be worried about others, worry about yourself first.", Sasuke said his back turned at me.

"Yeah...", I whispered still anxious.

Sakura clasped my hands tighter. "Lhexi, everything's gonna be alright!"

"Yup! We're gonna come back safe and sound!", Naruto gave me thumbs up. "I promise!"

I knew that they were gonna be fine but, what's with this bad feeling? I looked towards the pink-haired girl smiling brightly at me.

I chuckled softly and bid them goodbye, Tazuna looked back at me with guilt in his eyes before looking forward. I watch their sillhouettes slowly fading away while watching Naruto continuously waving his hands at me.

"Oi! He's not breathing!", Izumo yelled and I turned around to see them holding the scarred-face man who was now lying on the ground.

"Is he dead?", I asked worriedly.

"I hope not.", Kotetsu stated while I laugh anxiously.
