Ticket

14:36, 7 January 2016

So if we possess the ticket, The Prince will go back to hell and I'll go back to heaven. I would go back to heaven anyway but I don't know why but I feel a bit empty now.

"You know you were summoned to serve me for 5 years." The Prince tells me all of a sudden and I jump up in suprise.

"5 years?!" I exclaim.

"Yeah, but it's shortened now for some reason." He says.

"To what?" I ask.

The Prince turns around to look at me and he sticks his tongue out slightly and puts a finger against his mouth and says, "That's confidential."

"It doesn't matter anymore though, I'm going back to Heaven anyway." I mutter.

We both walked to the hospital in search of Julio's daughter.

"So... Julio's daughter has seen death itself?" I ask him.

"Probably. Death is seen by the about-to-be deceased. But if they struggling on holding on their life or have too much pain on their hands they are offered a ticket. Spirits don't even see death, and we can't too." The Prince explains.

"I wouldn't want to see death." I say.

"No one does." He responds.

We enter the hospital and we were given the room number of Julio's daughter by Julio.

"Did you meet her...? Julio's daughter?" I ask.

The Prince laughs wryly, "Unlike her father she couldn't see me. But she always sensed I was there."

"It looks like you two had some sort of history." I say.

"Not really." He shrugs.

We finally arrive at the room, The Prince seems anxious to open it but he does. The door flings open.

The Prince gasps seeing the woman in her early 30's in bed in such a critical state. Life support was hooked on her and it seems like she's in a deep coma.

"Oh no ..." I gasp and I look at her hand, a tiny peace of paper is grasped in her hand. I open it, the paper is crippled and it clearly had written 'THE AFTERLIFE'.

"We have it." I say to The Prince.

He halts me, "It's not that simple. This ticket is meant for her so she is linked to it. In order to break that connection she must let go of the consideration of death completely. Otherwise if we take that ticket, nothing will happen."

I placed the ticket back in her hand and she tightens it in her hand.

"I see," I say, "I will try to get in touch with her spirit."

"... What are you trying to do?" He asks.

"Spirit contact. Her spirit is the only thing awake right now. I may be able to speak to her that way." I explain.

"Is this a spirit thing? In that case I will do it. I am more experienced." He responds.

"Sorry Prince, only Angels can do this."

"Fine. Then do what is needed. But don't do anything reckless."

"Why would I? If I did you would be there to scold me right?" I giggle.

The Prince looks at me in suprise and then he ruffles his hair looking away from me, "I-I guess ..."

Another role of an angel is to keep order in place. Demons corrupt and angels heal.

We show mortals the light.

I brush away the woman's hair and touch her forehead with two of my fingers.Once I feel her spirit everything feels like water, my eyes turn pure white as they glow brightly.

I close my eyes then I open them, I find myself in a bare room where I can feel the water touch my feet. Then I see her, I'm in her mind and body and I know everything about her.

She just stands there unemotionlessly.

"Josephine," I say, "Why are you considering giving up?"

"You're an angel." She responds with her soft voice.

"Yes, I am." I say.

"I have to go. Goodbye Angel." She farewells me still with no emotion. I grab her hand and I halt her.

"Why do you want to leave?" I ask her.

"Because I am sick ... and I-I can't take it anymore!" She yells, "I can't take it! It hurts! Everywhere it hurts!"

"How about mentally?" I ask.

"What? Does that matter? I am going to die anyway." Josephine responds.

"No. You don't understand." I tell her, "If you die, your father will suffer."

"He is strong." She responds.

"No he is not!" I exclaims, "Your father has been ridiculed by many people because of what he believes in, but you stood by him. Don't you understand?! You are his guardian angel!"

She widens her eyes.

Then a voice suddenly echoes from above.

"Josephine your father is waiting for you!"

... It's The Prince.

"... Okay." She responds and brightly smiles.

"Josephine. You can fight it! Do it for your father!" I encourage her and I am suddenly pulled back out of her mind.

"Woah. That was the first time I had done that. Spirit contact." I say while I spin around in dizziness.

"... The first time I ever saw an angel do that." The Prince says and the dizziness stops.

I look suprised, "Really? Well it's because they-"

"It looked beautiful." He interrupts.

I gulp, "What?!" I exclaim.

The Prince rubs his chin, "I need to learn that."

I laugh weakly, "I'm pretty sure that's possessing someone for demons."

The Prince pauses and looks at me and says, "But what you did was truly beautiful." Then he warmly smiles at me.

"U-uh thank you ..." I respond and scratch the back of my neck.

Then we hear Josephine and she moves a bit in bed. It caught both of our attention.

Then all of a sudden her grasp on the ticket loosened and the ticket fell on the floor.

... Ah the ticket.

The Prince grabs it, "Let's go."

He runs off then stops. He turns around to look at me, "Don't you want to go home?" He asks.

I look up at him, "Yeah ... sorry I was spacing out." I join him and we both leave the hospital.

"Where are we going now?" I ask.

"To the nearest afterlife vaccum." He answers.

We can see one in the distance, not very far, we both fly over there smoothly and we land.

The vaccum had clouds surrounding, it was like a tornado. But unseen to the living's eye.

This is where we part.

The Prince holds out the ticket and I hold it too with him.

"Listen Elsa, I bet you are curious and afraid to ask. But you can be at ease now," The Prince says.

"W-what?" I ask, confused.

"I am choosing the noble choice that I should've done a long time ago. Elsa, I won't be going to heaven to get you." He tells me.

Then we both get sucked up from the vaccum I look at The Prince seriously and yell over the wind, "You were right! Hell is way better than Heaven!"

The Prince widens his eyes and we were immediately separated from each other.

I make it out of the vaccum.

Bright light, clouds, white and halos

...

I'm back at Heaven.
