E I G H T E E N

1 week later

A L E X A

It was time to move in on these people. They call themselves 'the drifters'.

In all honesty, I don't think we are going to win this fight. They were strong and had a lot of fire power.

But I shouldn't be doubting us. The saviors have done much worse. We've fought much worse.

Considering the strength and strategy between Alexandria, hilltop, kingdom and the saviors combined, we were sure to beat them.

My people and I were currently in the hotspot. We were in front of their gates. Everyone else was in place.

We were supposed to talk to them before taking them out to see if we could make a compromise.

I'm sure they'd want nothing to do with us, but that's the plan.

One of their guard men has already noticed us and was getting their group prepared.

"We're here to talk!" I shouted, standing in front of their gates.

"You were the ones who shunned us off your territory! We could've talked then!" They had guns pointed at us just like how we had them.

"We thought you were a threat! Hear us out!" Dad had Lucille in his hand.

The guard didn't reply and the rusty gates slowly started to open. They were very loud and there stood a whole shit load of people.

"What is it that you want?" Im guessing this man was the leader."Seems you don't know who runs this show. I've decided instead of dealing with you how I usually do, how boring doing the same thing over and over again, I've decided I'd be nice about introducing us." Dad said.

"We don't want to talk-""Well see, that's where it's not your choice. We're the saviors. Your shit is ours now. You take it this way or we'll deal with you how we dealt with the alexandrians." I spoke.

The leader slowly put his gun down."Did you say the alexandrians?" One man called out.

My brows furrowed and I shot a look towards Simon. He shrugged and looked at dad.

"Yeah, why?"

"That's our plan. We were going to kill them and take over their area. The leader and his kid ran into us and it spoiled our plans. You're the group that has them around your finger, correct?" As soon as he mentioned rick and Carl. I gripped my gun that was in my hand.

"That's us." Dwight nodded."Good. Maybe you can help us. Maybe we can team up. We kill everyone, leave the leader, his girlfriend and the kid for last. Kill the girl slowly, then the kid, then the leader. We see you have a home already, but if you help us, you can stay there with us." Idiots. Who are you to open up to complete strangers like that.

"What's in it for us?" Dad had both Lucille and a gun, but you couldn't see that he was hiding the gun.

"Power. Isn't that what you want?" A girl stepped forward."We run this shit show. We've got more than enough power. We own every single 'group' around here." I spat. I didn't like that they were planning to kill all of Alexandria.

Our signal to everyone else was to start shooting... but we couldn't just yet.

"Why is this such a problem-""They work for us. You're planning to kill our main supply." Simon crossed his arms.

They stayed silent.

"Justin, we've got a group of people along the outskirts in the Forrest. They're armed-"

As that sentence came out, there were gunshots. Not from the drifters, but from one of the groups we brought with us.

"The hell was that?!" One of them shouted.

The leader looked at us, noticing the smile on dad's face.

Dad laughed evilly, loading his gun.

"They're working together, kill them all!" One of their men raised their guns at us."Shoot!" I yelled, raising my gun and shooting into their gates.

We all had spread out, shooting in. They had took off into their 'home', spreading out and trying to close the gates.

"Move in!" I heard ricks voice in dad's walkie.

More gunshots were heard. Their gates slowly started to close, but the saviors ran in quickly before they could shut.

I shot down a few people, but it was like if I shot one down, more would appear.

Inside was almost empty, but it had one building.

"Get then all before thy have a chance to get away!" I saw hilltop and the kingdom hopping over the walls, but as some of them did, they were shot down.

Shit.

They had more people and more power than we thought they did.

They weren't very smart, but they were pretty smart. This fight didn't go as plan, especially since someone shot fire before the que.

I ran towards a few men, shooting my gun until I felt someone grab me forcefully and throw me to the ground.

I screamed and looked above me to see a woman with scars along her face.

"The hell is this? What are you doing to my people?!" She yelled in my face, pinning me down, squeezing my arms tightly.

"Oh did you just run into the wrong person." I threatened. She looked confused and I thrusted my head up into hers, knocking her backwards onto the ground.

She yelped and held her head. I climbed on top of her, grabbing my assault rifle and hitting her with the back of it, causing her nose to bleed.

I hit her over and over again until her skull was bashed in and her brains were scattered.

I quickly got up and stealthily ran towards the building. I managed to seek out the leader running towards it as well.

I picked my pace up and intercepted him, pushing him to a tree.

My right fist connected with his left cheek, trying to weaken him.

"You think you can get away with this." He laughed sarcastically. "I know I can." I pushed my gun against his throat. His strong hands grabbed both of my wrists and switched positions, slamming me against the tree.

He took a second to study me, his right forearm pressing against my neck to keep me still. He was very strong.

"You're just a kid. You're lucky I don't kill kids." He spat, his hand lifting up. He had a knife.

"You're pretty, too... sad." The blade of his knife pressing into the skin on my right cheek deeply, slicing down about 2 inches. I hissed in pain, trying to push him away with my hands.

"Everyone get out, go!" As those words came out of his mouth, smoke deployed around the whole area, nothing being able to be saw anymore.

Gunshots stopped, I'm assuming people afraid to shoot their own. With that, the man disappeared into the smoke.

I ran, chasing after him. I lost him almost immediately, but I still tried.

As my legs carried me, I saw a silhouette in front of me. Before I could even process that it was a person or even an object, my body slammed into theirs.

I fell, landing on my front, knocking the wind out of myself."Jesus Christ." I heard them groan.

I rolled over onto my back, trying to regain my breathing.

The smoke still filled the air around everyone, so I still couldn't see much.

"Oh god, Alexa. It's Carl, are you okay?" Carl hovered over me, his face close to mine so he could actually see me.

I coughed, still having all my oxygen back.

"I'm- I'm fine... I tried- to catch the- the leader." I heaved, my breath slowly coming back.

"They had smoke bombs. They were smart in that sense." Carl helped me up. "Who fired the first shots? Who blew the cover?" I asked.

"It wasn't us, they shot at daryl and he fired back." So at least they tried to stick to the plan. I just nodded.

"What happened to your face?" Carl asked."Stupid prick cut me." I could feel the blood drip down.

"The plan was to kill them all. We didn't kill them all." I was angry. I knew it would some how go wrong.

The smoke began to clear, but only a little. It was still hard to find our way around, considering they set at least 10 off.

"Are you hurt?" I asked Carl."No, no I'm okay." He shook his head.

The smoke cleared up even more and you could start to see more shadows farther away. It was like fog.

People became clear again.

"Carl! Alexa!" Daryl cane running towards us.

"Hey, hey, is everyone okay?" Carl grabbed onto Daryl gently.

"We lost a Eric, I don't know about who hilltop, Kingdom or saviors lost."

"Hilltop lost a some... they were ready for people to come over the walls. I saw it." I whispered.

"We should get back together, try to find where they went." Daryl suggested.

"Yeah, lets go." Carl reloaded his gun. I did as well, following them out.

"Wait... scavenge first... maybe they have some more of those smoke bombs left."

This was bad.

They know it's a war, now. They escaped.

Now they're coming for us.

Really bad chapter I'm so so sorry
