00:46, 5 April 2026Dear Readers,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for following Iseul's journey and the tangled, chaotic lives of the characters surrounding her. Writing this story has been an emotional rollercoaster-just as it must have been for you, reading it. When I first started, I had no idea how deeply these characters would grow into their own complexities, how their struggles, their pain, and their love would resonate with both them and with you.
Iseul's story is one of survival, of love in its many forms-often complicated and imperfect. The relationships she shares with Kyung-jun, Seungtae, Ki-tae, and the others are not straightforward, nor are they meant to be. Life, after all, is messy. It's not about perfect resolutions or neat endings. It's about finding meaning in the moments we share, in the mess, and sometimes, in the chaos we create.
There's a reason why I wanted to focus on this dynamic-the tension between love and sacrifice, the kind of loyalty that goes beyond words, and the kind of pain that leaves a lasting mark. I wanted to explore what happens when we push people away, when we sacrifice ourselves for the people we care about, and when those same people might never truly know how much we've given up for them.
When Iseul whispered, "I love you both," it wasn't just a moment of affection. It was the culmination of all the years of struggling with herself, with her identity, with what she wanted versus what she thought she needed. Those words were meant to express everything she couldn't say before-and I wanted it to hit hard. I wanted you to feel that ache. I wanted you to understand that even in her last moments, there was love. But also regret. The weight of things left unsaid.
This story is also about what we're willing to do for the people we love. How far we'll go. How we'll sacrifice parts of ourselves, even if it means losing everything. The bittersweetness of loyalty and the cost of standing by someone who may not even realize how much we've given up.
When I wrote the final chapters, I knew it had to feel raw. It had to be something that stayed with you long after you closed the page. And as much as it hurt to write, I hope it left you reflecting on how complex love can be-how it can tear us apart, but also, in some strange way, make us whole.
I hope that through Iseul's story, you were able to find a bit of yourself. Whether you connected with her vulnerability, her strength, or her brokenness, I want you to know that this was always meant to be a story of understanding the imperfect nature of human relationships. That love isn't just about the good moments-it's about all the moments in between, the moments that we don't often talk about, the moments that leave us questioning everything we thought we knew.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
With gratitude,Aurora<3
