The next morning i got woken up by Jackie telling me she needed to talk to me

''Whats wrong it's 5am?'' I asked half asleep

''Im sorry about what happend in the shed' She apologized

''That's why you woke me up?'' I asked anoyed

''No, that's not why?'' She answerd

''Then why i need my sleep you know it hs been 3 hours since i went to bed'' I asked

''Im leaving, im going back to New York on the same flight as Danny and you're coming with me'' She suddenly said

''What but Jackie i want to stay here'' I said fully awake now

''But you're my sister and i need you to come with me'' She begged me

''Jackie just because you cheated on Alex and you want to run away from you're promblems doesn't mean that i have to go with you!" I said mad

''You know i can't leave Isaac and Parker,Lee,Oliver and defently not Louie since Noelle died'' I added

''I get it but i just don't want to leave you alone'' She said

''Then stay here, it's either you go to New York and i stay her or we both stay here and we live happy together'' I said to give her a choice

''Im sorry but i have to go to New York then'' Jackie said and sighed

''Okay, then that's you're choice im staying here'' I said

Yes i wanted her to stay but i am defently not going to New York then ill leave Oliver and Isaac alone again and i promised them i wouldn't leave them again

And Louie needs me i am the only bestfriend he has left

''Im going to miss you, ill text you everyday and please don't tell anybody i left to go back to New York'' Jackie said crying and hugged

''Yeah, i promise'' I said crying aswell

This was the last time i was going to see Jackie in a while

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning Jackie was already gone

i walked out of my room and saw that Nathan came up the stairs done from his run

''Did Jackie sleep in this morning?'' He asked me

''I think so i haven't seen her'' I answerd

I walked downstairs and sat next to Isaac and he kissed me goodmorning

''You making a apology breakfast for Jackie?'' Isaac asked Alex that was making breakfast

''Yeah, also Ava have you seen her she didn't run with Nathan this morning''Β  He asked me

''I think she is sleeping in'' I answerd

''Oh okay ill just place this on her bedside table then'' Alex said and began walking but then i stopped him

''I just realized she went to the store so shes not in there sorry'' I said quickly

''Okay? But ill still put the food there so she can eat it'' Alex said and walked passed me

''Shit'' I said because now Alex will realize Jackie left

''What's wrong?'' Isaac asked me confused

''Okay don't tell anybody this but Jackie left with Danny to go back to New York'' I explained and sighed

''What? But why didn't you go with her then?'' He asked me confused

''Because i promised i wouldn't leave you remember'' I said and smiled

''But i have to go to Alex now and see if he found out'' I said

''Ill come with you'' Isaac said and we both walked to Jackie's room

I walked in there and saw that Alex had found the teapot and the note

''Im sorry Alex you weren't supposed to find out this way i-'' I started saying but then Alex pushed me away really madΒ  so i fell and he ran i think to Cole's room

''Alex, Claire did nothing wrong you can't be mad at her!'' Isaac yelled at Alex

Β Alex had stormed down the hallway so fast we could barely catch our breath. I clutched Isaac's hand, my heart pounding in my chest. He helped me to my feet gently, his eyes full of worry.

"Are you okay?" he whispered, brushing the hair out of my face.

"Yeah," I said, even though my knees still stung a little. "I'm fine. Just didn't expect him to freak out like that."

"He's hurting," Isaac said quietly. "But that doesn't mean he gets to hurt you."

We stood in Jackie's room, the silence around us feeling heavier now that she was truly gone. The breakfast Alex had made was sitting untouched on the desk. Next to it, the teapot she took last night. And her note.

I glanced at it. Just a few words in her handwriting:

"I'm sorry. I had to go."

That was it.

No explanation. No goodbye to anyone else. Just the one she whispered to me before she left.

We found Alex standing outside, fists clenched, pacing behind the house.

"Alex," I said softly, taking a cautious step forward.

"Don't," he snapped. "Don't pretend you didn't know."

"I did know," I admitted, swallowing the lump in my throat. "But she made me promise not to say anything. I didn't want to lie to youβ€”I just didn't want to hurt you either."

"Well, guess what? You still did," he said, voice cracking.

Isaac stepped in. "Claire stayed because of all of us. Because she didn't want to leave you. Or Louie. Or me."

Alex looked between the two of us, his eyes glassy but full of pain. "She didn't even say goodbye."

"I know," I whispered. "I'm sorry."

Alex shook his head and stormed off again, disappearing toward the woods behind the house.

Isaac sighed and looked at me. "He just needs time."

"I know."

Later that day, everything felt quiet. Too quiet without Jackie's voice echoing through the halls, without her drama filling the air.

But for the first time, I didn't feel like running after it. I didn't feel like chasing after her or cleaning up her mess.

I had my own life now. And I was choosing it.

That night, I was sitting on the back porch when Isaac found me again, like he always did.

"Hey," he said softly, sitting beside me.

"Hey."

He took my hand without asking and looked up at the stars. "So. No more secret flights to New York?"

I smiled. "Nope. I'm raised. In the good way."

He looked at me then, really looked at me. "I'm proud of you, you know. For choosing to stay. For choosing us."

I felt tears sting my eyes againβ€”but this time, they were good tears. Happy ones.

"You make it easy," I whispered.

He leaned in, forehead against mine. "I'm not perfect. You know that."

"Neither am I."

"But this feels... right," he said.

"It is right," I said, smiling.

And then he kissed meβ€”slow, soft, full of the kind of love that didn't need any running or hiding. The kind of love that stayed.

The stars above us blinked quietly, like they were winking down at the two of us. And for the first time in what felt like forever, everything was calm.

No more secrets. No more pretending. Just me and Isaac. And the life we were finally brave enough to choose.

A/N: Guys that was it for this book!

Isaac and Ava finally got their happy ending!

Ava did say she was raised in a good way but that isn't really true of course as a kid you have to be a kid not the parent of you're little brother/sister

Im thinking about that when season 2 is out of mlwtwb i will continue this book it depens on how mlwtwb season 2 will go

I hope you guys enjoyed this book and see you next time!
