Ava's POV:

It was time for dinner i was sitting in between Isaac and... Erin sadly

I was talking with Isaac and laughing about what other people we're saying. I felt good with this family i felt safe.

''I thought before we dive in, why dont we go around the table and share what we're thankfull for this year?'' George suggested

''Cole let's start with you'' Katherine said

''Uh, i guess im greatfull that the Broncos didn't actually wipe out this year'' Cole said

''Im thankfull for the long weekend and the chance to watch a bunch of movies'' Danny said

''I'm just gratefull that i didn't have to cook today, and you should all be too'' Alex said and chuckeld

''I am gratefull that i had a chance to find out more about the native day of mourning'' Nathan said

''I don't feel like it'' Lee said still mad about the call

''Dude'' Me and Isaac wispeard at the same time to Lee

''Well, i'm gratefull, uhm, that the ladies love me for my charm and good looks'' Isaac said looking at me wich made everyone laugh

''And we're both gratefull to be apary of this family right Lee?'' Isaac added patting on his brothers back

''And we love having you in it'' Katherine said to them

''Im gratefull that you guys took me and Jackie in even though you guys already had a lot of kids'' I said

''I'm just gratefull to be here, thanks for having me'' Erin said wich made me roll my eyes because she is playing like a victim here

''I'm gratefull for so many things, i mean you guys, of course, but moslty Will. I should go'' Haley said and stood up

''Of course sweetie. Let me just pack up some of this cranberry-almond stuffing because its Will's favourite'' Katherine said and stood up aswell

''But mom, we have to hear your turn'' Parker said

''Gosh, there's so many things to me gratefull for. How about you say what ur gratefull for'' Katherine said and went to Haley

''Im gratefull for that Ava always says yes when i ask her something and im gratefull that i won my game'' Parker said with a smile on her face wich made me smile

''Okay guys lets dive in'' George said

''Bon appetit''

''Let's do it'' We said and we dived in

''It is the coolest thing right Jackie and Ava-Claire''

''Mhm'' Jackie said and i just nodded

''What is it called?'' Danny asked curious

I looked over at Alex and saw he was thinking about something but i didn't care it was probally about Jackie again

''Jackie's mom lived for those 2 times a year'' Richard said and i faked caughed

''And your mom of course'' He corrected himself

''She really did'' Jackie said to break the tension between me and Richard

''Big cities are overated. Jackie is realizing that now''

''Maybe we can see Manhattenhenge together next year. You know, if you decide to come visit'' Richard said to Jackie

I looked over at Isaac with a dissapointed face and i saw he felt bad for me

''Too bad they are not moving back'' Lee suddenly said with that being his first long sentance

''Jesus Lee don't be a jackass'' Cole said immidiatly

''Lee, i dont think its Ava or Jackie your mad at right?'' George began to talk

''They are not going anywhere, so let's-'' George added but got cut of by Jackie

''Actually... we might be'' Jackie said all of a sudden

''Ill get it'' Cole said and stood up

''So uhm Ava...'' Cole said when he walked back to the dining room with a familiar mans face behind him

I held Isaac's hand under the table. He knew i was scared.

''Well, i wanted to have you back in my house and Richard helped me'' My dad began to say

''I don't want to go back'' I said with my voice shaking

''Don't you want to see Oliver?'' My dad asked

''What do you mean? I dropped him off at the neighbors...'' I asked confused and scared

''Yeah i got him back'' My dad said and chuckeld

''Okay Jordan,Parker and Benny please go upstairs'' George said

The three went upstairs without complaining

''Come we need to talk just the 2 of us'' My dad said

Isaac looked at me if i was okay with that and i nodded so everyone stood up and went outside to go play in the garden

''Why did you hide Oliver from me?'' My dad asked a bit mad

''Because you we're going to hurt him'' I answerd with tears in my eyes

''I would never hurt my kids i love you guys-'' My dad said

''That's a lie'' I cut him off

''Of course not-'' He tried to speak but i cut him off again

''Stop lying!'' I yelled

''Hey! Don't yell at your father'' He said really mad

''Your not my father anymore'' I said to him and backed away

''I am and i will always be!'' He yelled

''No you are not!'' I yelled back

''Ava-Claire Raine Anderson!'' My dad yelled even louder and he grabbed me by my shirt

''Dad your scaring me!'' I yelled

''You little shit!'' He yelled and he was about to hit me but then someone stormed inside

''Hey stop it get off of her!'' It was Isaac he pushed my dad away from me and George came inside

''Get out off my god damn house and never come back!'' George yelled and pushed my dad out of the house

''Hey hey you okay'' Isaac said running to me

I fell down to me knees and started crying really hard

''He- He has Oliver!'' I said while crying

''We will get Oliver out of there i promise'' Isaac said and hugged me really thight

''I am so sorry he did this'' He said

''I hate him'' I said still crying

''Why do i have to get this Shitty father'' I added

''Its not your fault don't say that'' Isaac said with tears in his eyes

''I should've took Oliver with me'' I said crying

''You did what you could do you we're only 6 years old back then'' Isaac said

''What if he comes back again he knows where i live now''

''What if he gets custody''

''Then i have to go back to him''

''If he tries to get custody we will try everything to stop him'' Isaac said now he was also crying

''Im scared'' I said shaking and looked up at him

''Don't be im here'' He said and putted his hands on my cheeks

George was outside again arguing with Richard and the rest of the kids we're also outside playing soccer

Me and Isaac stared at eacother for a couple of seconds. I looked at Isaac's eyes they we're a nice dark brown they looked really pretty. And then he leaned in and we kissed again.

It felt good again it made me happier it made me forget about what just happend with my dad

Isaac stopped kissing and looked at me again before saying something

''Promise me your not moving''

''I promise'' I answerd and i leaned in again

Parker's POV:

I was outside playing football with Lee,Cole,Jordan,Benny,Alex,Nathan and Danny. Jackie was standing next to mom watching us and dad was i think what it looked like arguing with Richard. I saw that dad pushed Ava's dad out of our house.

I was scared for Ava. I didn't even focus on football anymore everytime someone passed me the ball i didn't realize it, i was thinking about Ava hoping she was okay. I knew she was safe because Isaac was with her but i was still worried.

She feels like my older sister. She says i remind her of her younger self wich made me feel really happy because i want to be like her when im older. She is cool good at sports has alot of friends.

''Parker can u get the ball you are the closest to it'' I heard Cole say to me. But i ignored him and walked over to mom

''Mom can i go to Ava'' I asked her

''Yeah of course sweetie'' Mom answerd and i went to the door

As i opend the door i walked over to the kitchen i saw Ava and Isaac... Kissing. A smile apeard on my face when i saw them.

''Finally you guys made a move'' I said and they imidiatly stopped

''Oh uhm, hi Parks'' Ava said to me nervous

''Don't worry i wont tell mom and dad'' I said and walked over to them

''Thank you'' Isaac said

''I was worried about you Ava'' I said and i started crying

''Parks don't worry im okay now'' Ava said and hugged me

''I love you'' I said to her

''I love you too'' Ava said back

''Ur not moving back right?'' I asked to make sure

''No, im not'' She said and chuckeld.

I saw she had tears in her eyes while looking at me

''Ur the best big sister'' I said wich made her smile

''And you are the best little sister'' She said and hugged me again

''Now let's go outside again'' She added and we went outside with Isaac following behind us

Ava's POV:

Erin and Haley already went home so now it was just Richard who was still here

''I'm sorry Ava-Claire i didn't know'' Richard said walking over to me

''Don't talk to me'' I said and walked passed him and ran to Parker and the others to play football with them

They knew i didn't want to talk about what happend so they didn't ask

It was the next day me,Parker,Jordan,Lee and Isaac we're playing soccer on the porch when Cole came out of the door

''Hey, yo yo'' Cole said wich made us all turn around

''Someone is on a video call for you guys'' Cole said to Isaac and Lee

''Dad!'' Lee said and ran inside

But Isaac stayed i saw on his face that he was nervous

''He isn't going to wait for ever'' I said to him and he smiled and went inside

Isaac's POV:

I was in uncle George's office with Lee on facetime with dad

''Hey, how are you doing guys? i misse you guys'' Dad said

''Hey, sorry about yesterday'' He apologized

''The internet here has been patchy'' He added

''How is it did you guys have a good thanksgiving?'' He asked us

''I carved the turkey this year!'' Lee said excited

''Congratulations son Congratulations'' Dad answerd
