Chapter 59 - 장미 (JANG-MI) [Roses]

07:50, 7 November 2017

"Jin-oppa I'm sorry I have to talk to Yoongi-oppa."I gasp, hopping off the counter.

Jin nods and pulls me into a quick hug,"Thank you Roxi-ah."

"No problem Jin-oppa."

He walks out of the dorm and I'm left in the kitchen wondering what to do. I need to find Yoongi. I grab the bouquet of roses and run out the door, pulling it shut as I run down the stairs. Yoongi wouldn't go to the Bangtan dorm. That's too predictable of him to do so. I run outside, the heavy drops of rain made me tuck my glasses into the collar of my sweater. He needs to be somewhere nearby, he couldn't have gotten far. I look around me, all I saw were umbrellas and speeding cars.

'Shit where could he be?'

I run in a random direction away from the general population. The red rose petals began to fall from the bouquet as I ran, my eyes filling with water everytime I tried to blink them away. I found myself at the park entrance.

'One could only imagine he was here.'

I looked at the park sign. A strange feeling in my gut forced me to take a step forward.

'He must be here.'

I walk through the empty park. Every person was either running towards their car or closing up shop nearby. I walked further into the park, the colorful leaves were on the ground, the lake was overflowing which caused some water to flood onto the path. The grass looked so green and beautiful. The cold rain partnered with the cool breeze made my fingers numb. My grasp on the roses was so strong that the thorns made cuts into my skin through the thin plastic, leaving drops of red blood in their wake. I walked futher into the greenery, my hopes started to dwindle until I saw a black leather jacket behind a tree. My eyes lit up at the sight as my numb legs ran toward that direction.

"Yoongi-oppa! Oh my god there you are!"I reach the form and place my hand on his shoulder.

As quickly as I made contact I found myself pinned to the tree trunk by a man wearing a white face mask.

'It's not Yoongi.'

"Yah! Let go of me!"I scream, trying my best to kick the man."I said let go!"

My energy had been drained from all the running and my arms ached. All the strength was used to help me struggle free, but all the struggling only made the hold on my wrists tighter.

"You're such a cutie."he growled, his hand running up my soaked sweater."No one's around so...let's see if anyone is going to come save you."

"Stop! Let me go!"I squeak, only to have him cover my mouth.

"I guess you came alone. That's perfect."

My vision started to become blurry from the lack of oxygen, all that I could see was the bare branches above me as the man forced me onto the soaking grass. Tears filled my eyes, I guess it's over then. My hold on the roses loosened and my arms became limp. The hand that covered my mouth was gone, and the one underneath my top vanished.

"Hey get outta here you piece of shit!"

My eyes slowly flutter open and I slowly sat up, bonking my head against another, causing me to groan. I put my arms up, allowing the tears to flow down my cheeks.

"Leave me alone!"I shout, feeling two hands grip my forearms."Fuck off!"

"Roxi it's just me."

I blink a few more times, my vision finally clearing up as I saw Yoongi holding my arms away from my face. His hair was wet as rain dripped down his body. He worriedly turned my face to the side, seeing the bruises and scratches on my thighs, wrists, and knees.

"Did that bastard do anything to you?"he asked, his hands running over my injured hand."Shit this is all my fault."

I quickly regripped the roses and shakily stood up, causing Yoongi to shoot up and hold the small of my back to keep me steady.

"It's my...fault."I bow my head and thrust the red roses toward him."I'm so sorry Yoongi-oppa."

The drops of heavy rain pattered onto the top of our heads and the sound of an umbrella opening up made me open my eyes. Yoongi had opened up his black umbrella, the sound of rain muffled slightly. He took the roses from my hand and walked himself to the nearest trashcan, dumping them without a care. Yoongi walks back and pulls me under the umbrella with him, putting an arm around my waist as we walked back to the dorms in silence. Once he arrived he told me to wait outside my dorm as he arranged some towels on a chair to keep me from dripping water all over the floor. I walked in and he closed the curtains, dimmed the lights, and turned on the TV.

"I'll go run a bath for you."he says bluntly.

I nod, not knowing whether or not he saw or not. My mind was a mess, it was like what happened a few moments ago was a blur, like it was all just a dream. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I flinched slightly, Yoongi was behind me and helped me get off the chair as my knees shook.

"It's ready, I'll just take a shower in my dorm."he says, walking toward the front door before giving me a knowing look."I'll be here soon okay. Don't worry."

I nod and watch him leave. I take my bath, my entire body ached and the cuts partnered with the soapy water stung my skin to no end. My limps started to defrost and the smell of rain started to fade. I sigh and start to dry myself off. With that I put on some shorts and a white shirt while I started drying my hair. It took a while but once I was done I walked into the livingroom to see Yoongi with a first aid kit and some snacks out. He silently smiles and nudges his head over and I take a seat on the couch. Without saying a word he starts disinfecting and bandaging my wounds, knowing very well that I was capable of doing that myself. His face was still expressionless, but his hands shook everytime I flinched at the sting until he slowly continued. I must've caused him so much trouble. Without even realizing it, more tears had left my tearducts and just as Yoongi had bandaged the cuts a single drop landed on the back of his hand. He quickly looked up and sighed through his nose, pulling me with him into the corner of the couch. He placed me on his lap so that I face the TV.

'I'm such a burden to him.'

"I'm sorry."I say, feeling Yoongi pull me into his chest when I tried to sit up straight.

"Sorry for what?"Yoongi asked,"You ran after me. If I were you, I wouldn't've left the dorm while it was raining like hell outside. What's there to be sorry about?"

"...Why did you run away when you saw Jin and I?"I asked.

Yoongi shook his head and clicked his tongue,"I wanted to be polite, my hyung was making out with you, and I had no say in the matter. So I left."

"Why didn't you go to the dorm instead?"

"Because I didn't want to face you right away."he answered, holding me firmly in his arms,"I thought you would be pissed at me for walking in without knocking."

I laugh lightly, noticing how he was trying his best to lighten up the mood,"What were you doing in the park?"

"I go there when I need to clear my head."he says,"I saw you and...you know, I just couldn't watch something like that happen to you."

"I thought you would always go to my dorm when you needed to clear you head."I point out, feeling him stiffen behind me,"Why did you leave?"

"...Because you were the reason why I needed to clear my head."Yoongi says, turning me around in one swift move so that I looked at him straight in the eye."It was you, and only you. I stopped coming to the dorm because you would never leave my mind. It's nice, but so goddamn annoying at the same time."

He pulled a blanket around the two of us and crossed his legs to pull me closer on the couch. He smiled slightly, his bright eyes returning when he looked at me.

"I thought, that if I stopped coming over, I would be able to forget something. Anything. I thought I'd be able to forget the shape of your eyes, your beautiful smile, or your beaming personality."his smile faded a bit."But after a week or so...the memories since I met you were still vibrant in my mind."

My cheeks turned red and his smile returned once more."It's my fault."

I shook my head,"No it isn't! I was the one who ran out without thinking!"

He chuckled and shook his head."No, I'm saying...it was my fault for falling for you."

My eyes widened and my heart skipped a beat,"...What were the roses for?"

"I was going to tell you formally. I had a whole speech ready. But I just had to walk in to see 'that'."he smirked and prodded my side,"You love him don't you?"

"I...I don't know."I mumble,"Everything is so confusing now. Now all seven of you have confessed to me and I don't know what to do."

"Let me help you decide."

With that, Yoongi placed a hand to the back of my head and pulled me toward him. Our lips attatched in a split second, for the first time ever. I gasped, making him chuckle and pull me even closer. His plush pink lips moved against mine in a slow and sensual way, the feeling was so new that it made it hard for me to catch onto the pace. But after a while, I accepted it all, and ran my hands through Yoongi's hair. It was like he responded immediately, his hands carassing my sides as his kisses trailed up and down the soft skin of my neck before pecking my lips for the last time. He pulled his head back, our deep breaths seemed to echo throughout the room.

"I've been waiting so long to do that."Yoongi confesses,"And no matter how much I imagined this scenario, it could never add up to the real thing."

He placed one last kiss on my cheek, giving me the most genuine smile I've seen in a while."I love you Roxi."

'How am I supposed to decide?'
