The Bells of St John

Alyssa didn't know where she jumped as she looked around seeing stone walls she walked for what seemed like hours before she found 2 men in brown cloaks, two monks.

"Oh hello." She said

"Are you Alyssa Smith?" One of the monks asked, as he knew only one women who could appear anywhere without prior warning, the Golden angel.

"Ummm" Alyssa started " who are you?" She asked,

"A friend." The monk said,

"Yes... yes I am."

"You need to come with us." he said as he walked past her,

"Why would I do that?" She asked and the man looked back at her

"The bells of St John are ringing" the monk said before he turned around

"the Bells of St John?" She repeated as the man walked away "oh hold on!" She yelled before she followed him, as they started climbing stairs.

"They call him the mad monk, don't they?" The other man said

"Will you please tell me whats going on?" Alyssa asked "You'll understand soon," The man said to her before turning to the other man "They shouldn't. He's definitely not a monk." he said as they stopped at a door. Which the first monk opened the door. Alyssa looked inside and saw a man sitting with a hood up. She looked further around and saw a portrait of a young woman with the words 'run you clever boy and remember'

"Ahem. I'm sorry to intrude, but the bells of Saint John are ringing. And she has appeared." The first monk said gesturing to Alyssa and the man with the hood stood up and walked over to them, the man reached out a hand and took Alyssa's left hand and lifted it up and examined it. He didn't let go of her hand as he shifted, holding her hand into a familiar fashion. She glanced down at their hands and looked confused up at the man trying to look inside his hood. he pulled the hood down. It was the Doctor.

"Doc?" She asked as he turned to the monk"I'm going to need a horse." The Doctor said as he pulled Alyssa with him out the door.

"wait hold on! Doctor." Alyssa said once more.

The Doctor and Alyssa were soon on horse racing towards St John. They pulled up to a cave with the other monks following them and The Doctor quickly dismantled, as they heard ringing of what sounded like a telephone. The Doctor only stopped to help Alyssa down from the horse before running into the cave. Alyssa following after him. She skidded to a stop as she saw the Tardis. And the phone that they heard ringing was the Tardis phone.

"That is not supposed to happen" the Doctor said as he towards it

"What?" She said as she joined the Doctor who had answered the phone and he positioned it in a way they both could hear it.

"Hello?" The Doctor said,

"Ah, hello. I can't find the internet." The woman on the phone said, and the Doctor and Alyssa became even more confused

"Sorry?" The Doctor asked

"It's gone, the internet. Can't find it anywhere. Where is it?"

"The internet?" the Doctor said, and Alyssa mouthed 'what?' at the Doctor "Yes, the internet.Why don't I have the internet?"

"It's twelve oh seven." The Doctor said,

"I've got half past three. Am I phoning a different time zone?" the Woman said,

"Yeah, you really sort of are." The Doctor said "Will it show up on the bill?" The woman asked, "Oh, I dread to think. Listen, where did you get this number?" The Doctor said, "The woman in the shop wrote it down. It's a help line, isn't it? She said it's the best help line out there in the universe, she said." The woman said, "What woman? Who was she?" The doctor asked "I don't know. The woman in the shop. So why isn't there internet? Shouldn't it sort of be there?" The woman said,

"Look, listen, I'm not actually, it isn't" The Doctor started and Alyssa just shook her head "You have clicked on the wifi button, yeah?" Alyssa asked

"There's two of you?" she asked, "Yes training, Now wifi button?" Alyssa said

"Hang on. Wifi." The woman said,

"Click on the wifi, you'll see a list of names. You see one you recognise." Alyssa said, as the Doctor stared at her, she just shrugged her shoulders. "It's asking me for a password." The woman said

"Is it an evil spirit?" the Monk said

"No." Alyssa said, "It's A woman." The Doctor said,"Hang on. A mo. Run you clever boy and remember one two three" the woman said, and the Doctor turned shocked as Alyssa looked at him confused,

"What did you say?" The Doctor yelled,

"Don't shout. Now you've made me type it wrong. It's thrown me out again. What do I do? How do I get back in?" The woman said, as the Doctor grabbed Alyssa's hand and pulled her into the Tardis. She paused as she looked around the control room was different with the brown replaced with grey, and the time rotor extended up to the ceiling where gallifreyan was written on it.

" You redecorated." Alyssa said, which made the Doctor pause

"Do you like it?" He asked, and Alyssa looked around realizing two people were gone. P L

"Yes, where's Amy and Rory?"

"Gone." The doctor said as he went around the control panel,

"What do you mean gone?" Alyssa said, and he ignores her, and Alyssa walked forward to look af him"Doctor what's going on?" Alyssa asked, "Just a mo." The Doctor said as he started to try to pilot the Tardis after tracing where the call was coming from, but Alyssa beat him to the lever and grabbed it, holding it in place as she looked up at the Doctor

"Now we have a moment. What happened to Amy and Rory?"She asked,

"Spoilers," the Doctor said, and Alyssa nodded slowly,

"Okay, why was that phrase so important?" Alyssa asked

"This is really weird, it's now the opposite." the Doctor said"Opposite of what?" Alyssa asked

"Adventures you don't from the show and they haven't happened yet for you but have for me. She's important. trust me." the Doctor said, and Alyssa just stared at him for just a second, before pulling the Lever down, sending the Tardis to Earth. The Doctor grinned at Alyssa before he rushed out of the Tardis "Oh hold on!" Alyssa said, before rushing out after him. She stopped a few steps behind him as he started pounding on the front door. A young woman with brown hair opened the door, and the Doctor beamed "Hello." The woman said,

"Clara. Clara Oswald." The Doctor said "Hello." Clara said, "Clara Oswin Oswald." The Doctor said, "Just Clara Oswald. What was that middle one?" Clara said"Do you remember me?" The Doctor asked, as Alyssa watched the scenario unfold confusion across her face. "No. Should I? Who are you?" Clara said, "The Doctor. No? The Doctor?" The Doctor said, as he looked behind him and gestured Alyssa to come forward, who hesitantly did. "Doctor who?" Clara asked, "No, just the Doctor. And my wife Alyssa Smith." The Doctor said, and flinched when Alyssa said

"Not yet." She said as the Doctor looked over at her, "you haven't even proposed yet." She finished and the doctor smirked as if she had said something funny

"I really suck at proposals." He said softly, and Alyssa turned to him once more before Clara interrupted them

"Umm." Clara said, and Alyssa held her hand out to Clara's to shake, but Clara just looked between the two of them and then closed the door.

"Hey, no, Clara, please. Clara, I need to talk to you. Listen. Please." The Doctor said, as he started banging on the door again.

"Please, I just need to speak to you." The Doctor said, and Clara turned on an intercom"Why are you still here? Why are you here at all?" Clara asked,

"Well technically you phoned us." Alyssa said, as she joined the Doctor on the screen. "You needed help with your internet." "That was you two?" Clara asked,

"Yes it was us." Alyssa said, "How did you get here so fast?" Clara asked,

"we just happened to be in the neighbourhood, on our mobile phone." The Doctor said, gesturing at the Tardis "When you say mobile phone, why do you point at that blue box?" Clara asked

"Because somehow it's an accurate description." Alyssa said, "Okay, we're finished now." Clara said, "Oi, no, don't." The Doctor said, as Clara oq1switched off the Intercom. "Maybe it wasn't a good idea to assume that she already knew you?" Alyssa said, as she followed him back to the Tardis

"Oh shut up." The Doctor said,

"Or the monk costume? What were you doing at a monastery?" Alyssa asked, as the Doctor looked down at his outfit. Realizing that she was right.

"Right. Don't be a monk. Monks are not cool." The Doctor said, as he walked down the stairs. Alyssa letting out a sigh of exasperation.

"You didn't answer my question!" She said before poked her head down and saw a fez on his head"Neither is the fez." She said, and the Doctor knocked the Fez off his head, before pulling out his normal outfit. He then walked up the stairs and held out a box to Alyssa. She opened it to see his bowtie. She laughed as she took it out of the box and tied it around the Doctor's neck. He then smiled down at her as he took her hand and pulled her back to the house.

"Clara! Clara?" The Doctor said, at the intercom.

"Hello?" Clara said, and Alyssa frowned, "Ah, see? Look, it's me. De-monked. Sensible clothes. Can we come in now?" The Doctor asked, "I don't understand." Clara said, "You just open the door." The Doctor said, and Alyssa looked back at the house. And walked towards the door. "I don't know." Clara repeated

"Of course you can." The Doctor said,

"Where I am. I don't know where I am. Where am I? Please tell me where I am. I don't know where I am." Clara said, "Somethings wrong."Alyssa said as she kicked the door open, to see Clara unconscious on the ground. The Doctor joined her by Clara's side as he brought out his Sonic and started scanning her. Alyssa looked up the stairs and saw a young girl with a dish on the back of her head with Clara inside it"I don't know where I am. I don't know where I am. I don't understand. I don't know where I am! I don't understand. I don't know where I am." Clara said, as Alyssa slowly brought out her sonic pen.

"Doctor." Alyssa said, as he looked up too and saw it as well he placed Clara back down on the floor and stood up. As Alyssa activated her pen, and the little girl started glitching before a metal robot appeared.

"Walking base station. Walking wifi base station. Hoovering up data. Hoovering up people." The Doctor said, looking at the Robot. As he brought out his sonic and started scanning around the house before they went upstairs and grabbed Clara's laptop and ran to Clara's body and started typing on the computer trying to reverse what was happening to Clara

"Oh no, you don't." The Doctor said, as he continued to type on the Computer

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Not this time, Clara, I promise." "What do you mean by 'not this time'? Has something like this happened before?" Alyssa asked as she watched what he was typing on computer. The Doctor ignored her as he continued, before she watched the robot spark and a ray of light shot from it to Clara. Alyssa moved over to Clara as she took a breath and woke up. Alysssa instantly grabbed her arms as she looked over her

"It's okay You're fine." Alyssa said, as the Doctor joined her by Clara. Alyssa stood up and grabbed the laptop as she typed a message to whoever did to Clara 'under our protection the doctor and the golden angel'

Alyssa typed on Clara's computer trying to get more information on what attacked Clara as The Doctor laid Clara in her bed. He poured some water into a cup with a jug and placed both of them on her bedside table on her bed side table before walking off grabbing some flowers and put them in a empty mug. Alyssa let out a sigh of exasperation as she stood up and took the flowers from him and the water jug and poured some water for the flowers before putting it back on the table. Before going back to the laptop and resuming what she was doing. She watched the Doctor bring in a pack of Jammy Dodgers he opened it and sniffed it before putting all of them on a plate for the table. Before taking one and taking a bite out of it putting back on the plate. Before he walked over to her bookshelf and pulled out a book.

"Doctor." Alyssa said, "I don't think she'll appreciate you looking through her things."

"She won't mind." The Doctor said, as he opened a book and read it, before bringing out a leaf.

"A leaf why would she keep a leaf?" Alyssa asked, as the Doctor examined it before licking it. " you didn't have to lick it." as he placed the leaf back in the book and placed back on the shelf. Before he left the room, Alyssa grabbing the laptop and following him stopping for just a second to grab the half eaten Jammy Dodger and throw it in the trash.

Later after the son had set Alyssa was examining the Robot as the Doctor typed on her Laptop.

"Hello?" Clara's voice said, and the two of them looked up seeing her leaning out of the window. "Hello! Are you all right?" The Doctor said, after he got up "I'm in bed." Clara said,

"Yes" The Doctor and Alyssa said together, "Don't remember going." Clara said"No." The Doctor said, "What did I miss?" She asked

"Quite a bit, I repaired your front door, Sort of, had to kick it in.. sorry about that." Alyssa said, and Clara's eyes went wide, as the Doctor brought out a notepad he had written messages on. "Angie called. She's going to stay over at Nina's. Apparently that's all completely fine and you shouldn't worry like you always do. For God's sake get off her back. Also, your dad phoned, mainly about the government. He seems very cross with them, I've got several pages on that. I said I'd look into it. I fixed that rattling noise in the washing machine, indexed the kitchen cupboards, optimised photosynthesis in the main flower bed and assembled a quadricycle." The Doctor said, "Assembled a what?" Clara asked, as Alyssa shook her head, "I found a disassembled quadricycle in the garage." The Doctor said, "No you didn't" Alyssa said, at the same time Clara said, "I don't think you did." making Alyssa beam at her. "I invented the quadricycle. Ha!" the Doctor said, "What happened to me?" Clara asked

"You don't remember?" Alyssa asked, "I was scared, really scared. Didn't know where I was." Clara said, "Do you know now?" The Doctor said, "Yes." Clara said, "Well then, you should go to sleep. Because you're safe now, I promise. Goodnight, Clara." the Doctor said, before he went back to sitting, Clara going back inside, before popping out again, "Are you guarding me?" Clara asked, "Well, yes. Yes, I am." The Doctor said, and Clara looked over at Alyssa

"Im just sort of going with the flow." Alyssa said, "Are you two seriously going to sit down there all night?""I promise I won't budge from this spot." The Doctor said, "So yes." Alyssa said, "Well then, I'll have to come to you." Clara said, as she closed the window,

"Well Okay then." Alyssa said, as the Doctor made a sound of confusion.

Clara soon came out with a chair and 3 mugs in her hands. She placed the chair down and handed both the Doctor and Alyssa one of the mugs.

"I like your house." The Doctor said,

"It isn't mine. I'm a friend of the family." Clara said,

"But you look after the kids. Oh yes, you're a governess, aren't you, just like" The Doctor said, and Alyssa raised an eyebrow at him.

"Just like what?" Clara said,

"Just like. I thought you probably would be." The Doctor said, "Nice save" Alyssa said in his mind

"Shut up." The Doctor sent back "never" Alyssa said in his mind,

"Are you going to explain what happened to me?" Clara asked, "Apparently There's something in the Wifi." Alyssa said,

"Okay." Clara said,

"This whole world is swimming in wifi. We're living in a wifi soup. Suppose something got inside it. Suppose there was something living in the wifi, harvesting human minds. Extracting them. Imagine that. Human souls trapped like flies in the world-wide web. Stuck forever, crying out for help." The Doctor said,

"Isn't that basically Twitter?" Clara asked

"No not twitter" Alyssa said as she joined the Doctor's side has he grabbed the laptop once more watching the Doctor pulled up the wifi and a bunch of symbols appeared on it in rapid succession. Her eyes widened as she looked back up at Clara.

"What's that face for?" Clara asked,

"A computer can hack another computer. A living, sentient computer, maybe that could hack people. Edit them. Re-write them." The Doctor said,

"Why would you say that?" Clara asked, "Because a few hours ago you knew nothing about the internet, and you just made a joke about Twitter." Alyssa said,

"Oh. Oh, that's weird. I know all about computers now in my head. Where did all that come from?" Clara said,

"You were uploaded for a while. Wherever you were, you brought something extra back, which I very much doubt you'll be allowed to keep." The Doctor said, as Alyssa looked around the area before her eyes fell on a man standing very still under the lamppost.

"Doctor" Alyssa called out to him psychically, and he followed her line of sight, and stood up.

"All three of us inside that box, now." The Doctor said,

"I'm sorry?" Clara said, and the Doctor turned around and walked up to her.

"Look, just get inside." The Doctor said,

"The three of us?" Clara said,

"Oh, trust me. You'll understand once we're in there." The Doctor said

"I bet I will. What is that box, anyway? Why have you got a box? Is it like your nogging booth?" Clara asked

"Snogging booth? No." Alyssa said,

"Clara. A what?" The Doctor said at the same time, as Alyssa looked up noticing lights beginning to turn on in bedrooms.

"Is that what you two do, bring a booth? There is such a thing as too keen." Clara said, as the Doctor noticed what was going on around them. "Clara look around you"

"What's going on? What's happening? Is the wifi switching on the lights?" Clara asked

"No, people are switching on the lights. The wifi is switching on the people." The Doctor said, as they looked back at the man as his head rotated around to reveal a disk

"What is that thing?" Clara asked,

"A walking base station. You saw one earlier." The Doctor said,

"I saw a little girl." Clara said

"It must have taken an image from your subconscious" Alyssa said,

"Thrown back at you, Ah! Active camouflage. They could be everywhere." the Doctor said as the three looked around

"Doctor? Alyssa?" Clara said, as her eyes fell on the city behind them. All the buildings lights were going out.

"What's going on? Our lights are on and everyone else's off. Why?" Clara asked, as Alyssa looked at plane that was flying through the sky. "Some planes have wifi." The Doctor said, as he noticed it too. "I'm sorry?"Clara asked, as the plane started going faster right at them

"We must be one hell of a target right now." The Doctor said, as Alyssa grabbed Clara's hand as they realized the plane was coming towards them

"Okay enough talking box now." Alyssa said as she dragged Clara inside the Tardis who grabbed the railings in shock as she looked around, as her and the Doctor rushed to the console

Yes, it's a spaceship. Yes, it's bigger on the inside. No, I don't have time to talk about it." The Doctor said

"You have a plan?" Alyssa asked as she watched the Doctor pilot the Tardis. "But, but, but, but it's..." Clara started, "Shut up, please. Short hops are difficult." The Doctor said, "Bigger on the inside. Actually bigger." Clara said, as Alyssa registered his words about doing a short hop

"Oh tell me you didn't" Alyssa started, as he moved away from the console to the door."Right, come on." The Doctor said, as Alyssa and Clara followed him "We're going to go back out there?" Clara asked, "We moved, it's a spaceship." Alyssa said, "Away from the plane?" Clara asked, and Alyssa looked at the Doctor, "Not exactly." The Doctor said, as the three exited the Tardis right on the plane that was going down, the three screaming as the Doctor fell into a chair before getting up and walking towards the cock pit,

"Oh I hate you." Alyssa yelled as she followed the Doctor towards the Cockpit.

"No you don't" the Doctor yelled back,

"How did we get here?" Clara said, "It's a ship. I told you. It's all very science-y." The Doctor said, as he pulled himself forward "This is the plane? The actual plane? Are they all dead?" Clara asked,

"No, Asleep, got switched off by the Wifi." Alyssa said, "Never mind them." The Doctor said, as they reached the door to the Cockpit, Alyssa bringing out her sonic pen and opened the door to the Cockpit, the Doctor using his to scan the controls."What is going on? Is this real? Please, tell me what is happening!" Clara said, "I'm the Doctor." The Doctor started,

"And Im Alyssa." Alyssa added

"we're aliens from outer space. I'm a thousand years old, she's 951 years old, we've got two hearts and I can't fly a plane!" The Doctor said and looked at Alyssa who shook her head, The Doctor then looked at Clara "Can you?" "No." Clara said,

"Lets do it together." Alyssa said, as the Doctor pulled on the Steering wheel and Alyssa put her hands on his shoulders and pulled as well. They barely got the plane to go up slightly. Missing the houses below. "Whoo! Would a victory roll be too showy offy?" The Doctor said, and Alyssa patted his shoulders as the pilot started waking up. "What the hell's going on?" He asked, as the Doctor sonicked the controls once more. "Well, I'm blocking your wifi so you're waking up, for a start. Tell you what, do you want to drive?" The Doctor said, before he started back towards the Tardis, Alyssa following before stopping as she realized that a certain brown woman wasn't with them she turned around and pulled Clara with them back to the Tardis.

"Okay. When are you going to explain to me what the hell is going on?" Clara said, as she joined them at the Console. "Breakfast." The Doctor said,

"Breakfast?" Alyssa asked and the Doctor smiled at her and held a hand out for her, she smiled as she took it,"What? I ain't waiting till breakfast." Clara said

"Did I forget to mention? She's a time machine too?" Alyssa said

"You never have to wait for breakfast." The Doctor said,

"She?" Clara said, and Alyssa laughed as the Doctor pulled her to the door and out on to a busy pedestrian area. Who were clapping, at the mystical blue box who just appeared. Clara following the two"Thank you, thank you. Yes, magic blue box." The Doctor said, bringing out a fez, "All donations gratefully accepted. Roll up, give us your dosh. Pennies, pounds, anything you've got." as people started putting money in the fez, before handing it to Clara "Keep collecting. We need enough for breakfast. Just popping back to the garage." he said before pulling Alyssa back into the Tardis, as Alyssa grabbed Clara's laptop as they passed it before, the Doctor pulled her down a corridor to the left, before stopping and turning around to go the opposite way.

"Getting lost in the Tardis dear?" Alyssa said,

"Shut up." the Doctor said, and only got a laugh from Alyssa back.

" So this is tomorrow, then. Tomorrow's come early." Clara asked, right as the two of them exited on two motorcycles,

"No, it came at the usual time. We just took a short cut. Thank you, thank you. Tomorrow, a camel." The Doctor said, as the crowd started clapping again, as the Doctor held up a helmet for Clara, which she took before jumping on the back of Alyssa's motorcycle.

"If you've got a flying time machine, why are we on a motorbike?" Clara asked, as they rode through the city,

"Because it's funner this way sometimes, also I think we're going into battle, and we're not going to take the Tardis into battle." Alyssa said,

"Because it's made of wood?" Clara asked

"No, it's the most powerful ship in the universe and We don't want it falling into the wrong hands." Alyssa said,

The Doctor, Alyssa and Clara stopped at a restaurant and sat down to eat as the Doctor typed on Clara's keyboard,

"So if we can travel anywhere in time and space, why did we travel to the morning. What's the point in that?" Clara asked,

"Whoever's after us spent the whole night looking for us. Are you tired?" The Doctor asked,

"Yes." Clara asked,

"What? Then imagine how they feel. They came the long way round. They've got to be close. Definitely London going by the signal distribution. I can hack the lowest level of their operating system but I can't establish a physical location. The security's too good." The Doctor said, as he leaned back in his shert

"Are you two aliens?" Clara asked

"Yes." Alyssa said,

"okay with that?" The Doctor said,

"Oh, yeah. Think I'm fine." Clara said,

"Oh, good." The Doctor said,

"So, what happens if you do find them? What happens then?" Clara said,

"I don't know. I can't tell the future, that's her job," the Doctor said, gesturing at Alyssa, Clara's eyes snapped to hers "but she's out of commission right now""I can't see the future. It's a lot more complicated then that" Alyssa said to Clara, noticing her confusion "It's a long story," before looking at the Doctor " and it's not like I tell you whats gonna happen, even if I knew. And I think I've done a really good job with not messing with the established events that I know about, unless it's to save a person's life." Alyssa said, before Clara cleared her throat.

"So You don't have a plan?" Clara said,

"Oh, you know what I always say about plans." The Doctor said

"I think this time, we don't know, How about you indulge us." Alyssa said, at the same time Clara said "what?"

"I don't have one." The Doctor said, and Alyssa laughed,

"People always have plans." Clara said,

"Yes. Yes, I suppose they do. So tell me, how long have you been looking after those kids?" The Doctor said,

"About a year, since their mum died." Clara said,

"Okay. Why you? Family friend, I get that, but there must have been others. Why did it have to be you? You don't really seem like a nanny." The Doctor said, and Clara pushed her drink away and grabbed her laptop.

"Gimme." Clara said, but the Doctor grabbed the laptop back,

"Sorry. What?" The Doctor said,

"You need to know where they physically are. Their exact location." Clara said,

"Yes." Alyssa said,

"I can do it." she said

"Oi, hang on. I need that." The Doctor said,

"You've hacked the lower operating system, yeah? I'll have their physical location in under five minutes. Pop off and get us a coffee." Clara said as Alyssa pushed herself up from her chair.

"If I can't find them, you definitely can't." The Doctor said, "Doctor I think you should let her try." Alyssa said

"What why?""Well they uploaded her," Alyssa said,

"I've got computing stuff in my head." Clara said,

"So do I." The Doctor said, "She got direct access with their system due to them uploading her some that you might not even know about that. She might be way more successful then us" Alyssa said

"Thank you Alyssa." Clara said, as she looked back at the Doctor and pulled the Laptop towards her again.

"I'm from space and the future with two hearts and twenty seven brains." The Doctor said,

"No you don't" Alyssa said, with a sigh of exasperation.

"And I can find them in under five minutes plus photographs. Twenty seven?" Clara asked

"Okay, slight exaggeration." The Doctor said, as Alyssa moved around the table and held out her hand to the Doctor.

"Come on give her five minutes, if she doesn't succeed, you can try again okay? Plus I want a coffee as well" Alyssa said

"The security is absolute." The Doctor said, as he looked at Alyssa and her waiting hand as she wiggled her fingers at him,

"It's never about the security, it's about the people." Clara said, and the Doctor let out a sigh as he grabbed Alyssa's hand. Alyssa pulling him towards the cafe. The Doctor stopped and looked back at Clara

"Doc?" Alyssa said, and Clara looked up at him

"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" Clara asked,

"Sorry, no, it's nothing. It's just, you're a nanny. Isn't that a bit, well, Victorian?" The Doctor said, and Alyssa looked at him in confusion

"Victorian?" Clara said,

"You're young. Shouldn't you be doing, you know, young things, with young people?" The Doctor said

"I don't know what you mean by that." Clara said as she went back to typing on the computer, As Alyssa pulled him through the door and towards the counter."You gonna tell me why she's so important?" Alyssa said,

"There's a mystery around her, I've met her twice she keeps dying." "What? How?" Alyssa said,

"Spoilers." The Doctor said, "Fair enough." Alyssa said as they got to the counter. she watched the Doctor pick up a cake and Sniff it, Alyssa shook her head as she took it from him and put it back. As the Doctor opened many different containers holding various different pastries.

they approached the man behind the counter. "Three cappuccinos over there, please."

"One Moment Ma'am." The barista said, as the Doctor finally found a pastry he wanted and lifted it up to his mouth as Alyssa looked around noticing the lights flicker. "You realise you haven't the slightest chance of saving your little friend." the Barista said,

"What?" Alyssa said, turning back to the man"One moment, ma'am." the barista said, before Alyssa noticed the lights flicker again. " I said, there's not the slightest chance of saving your little friend. And don't annoy the old man. He isn't, in fact, speaking." he said someone else speaking through him, the person who was looking for them, the one who tried to download Clara, the lights flickered once more as the old man was let go. "I'm speaking." The waitress behind them said, them both whipping around to look at a waitress the Doctor walking up to her. " Just using whatever's to hand. Oh, she's rather pretty, isn't she? Do you like her? Make her like you, too, if you want." she said before there was a flicker again "You all right, sir?" The waitress said, as she was back in control of her body. "Er, yes. Yes. Fine." The Doctor said, holding out the pastry he grabbed out to her, his eyes locking with Alyssa as they bolted out of the Cafe and found Clara still working on the computer

"You all right?" Alyssa asked, " Sure. Setting up stuff. Need a user name." Clara said,

"Learning fast." The Doctor said,

"Clara Oswald for the win. Oswin!" Clara said, as the Doctor froze for a second, before he followed Alyssa who had rushed into the cafe once more.

"Now I want you to take a look around. Go on, have a little stroll and see how impossible your situation is. Go on, take a look. I do love showing off. " The waitress said, before she was let go and walked off, a young girl being taken control of next

"Just let me show you what control of the wifi can do for you. Stop!" The little girl said as everyone in the cafe stopped moving

"We saw what you can do last night." the Doctor said,

"And clear." The little girl, before whoever was speaking through her let the little girl go and everyone left the cafe. "We can hack anyone in the wifi once they've been exposed long enough." the newsperson on the screen said "So there's one of your walking base stations here, somewhere close." The Doctor said,

"There's always someone close. We've released thousands into the world. They home in on the wifi like rats sniffing cheese." the lady said,

"So is that your plan? Download the special few enslave the rest?" Alyssa asked

"No." the lady said,

"I don't know who you are or why you're doing this, but the people of this world will not be harmed. They will not controlled. They will not be.." "The people of this world are In no danger whatsoever. My client requires a steady diet of living human minds. Healthy, free-range, human minds. He loves and cares for humanity. In fact, he can't get enough of it." The lady said,

"It's obscene. It's murder." The Doctor said, "It's life." The woman said, "The farmer tends his flock like a loving parent. The abattoir is not a contradiction. No one loves cattle more than Burger King." the lady said,

"I think we have a very different definition of life. We will not let anyone actively feed on humans." Alyssa hissed out, the Doctor agreeing with her,

"This ends We're going to end this today." The Doctor said, "How? You don't even know where we are.""Oh I wouldn't doubt us, we have defending the world from plenty of things. Don't get cocky that'll be your downfall." Alyssa said,

"Who's doing this? Who is your client? Hmm? Answer me." The Doctor said, but the woman stopped talking through her and it went back to the news

"Doctor. Clara." Alyssa said before she turned around and rushed out to where they were sitting before, "Clara? Clara?" Alyssa said, but there was a robot with the Doctor's face looking back at them. "Doctor Alyssa? Doctor Alyssa , help me. I, I don't know where I am. I don't understand. Doctor, help me, please. I don't know where I am. I don't know where I am! I don't know where I am. Doctor, please. Please help me. Please help me. I don't know where I am. I don't know where I am." Clara's voice said as the robot turned it's head around showing Clara's face in the disk. Alyssa took a step forward towards Clara's body as the Doctor brought out his sonic and used it on the robot. Alyssa looked at the Computer and saw that Clara had found where they were. "Doc, she found them." Alyssa said, and the Doctor nodded once before the two rushed to one of the motorcycles

The Doctor raced through the streets towards the Shard on his motorcycle only stopping once he got close enough to the building.

"Really, Doctor. A motorbike? Hardly seems like you." The man he stopped by said, the person talking through him

"I rode this in the antigrav Olympics, 2074. I came last." The Doctor said, "The building is in lock-down. I'm afraid you're not coming in." the man said, "Did you even hear the word, antigrav?" The Doctor said, before he pressed a big red button in between his handles. The Doctor drove off up the glass of the building, he brought out his sonic screwdriver and broke the glass into the building. "Do come in." A woman said, after she opened the door. "Download her." the Doctor said, "Sorry about the draught." the woman said, "Download her back into her body right now." The Doctor said, "I can't." the woman said, "Yes, you can." the Doctor said, "She's a fully integrated part of the data cloud, now. She can't be separated." The woman said, as she walked further into the room."Then download the entire cloud. Everyone you've trapped in there." The Doctor said, "You realise what would happen?" the woman asked

"Yes, those with bodies to go home to would be free." The Doctor said, as he stood up"A tiny number. Most would simply die." The woman said, "They'd be released from a living hell. It's the best you can do for them, so give the order." The Doctor said, as the two approached them "And why would I do that?" the woman said, "Because I'm going to motivate you, any second now." The Doctor said, "you ridiculous man. Why did you even come here without the Golden Angel? Whatever for?" the woman asked, "I didn't." The Doctor said, "What?"The woman asked, "I'm still in the cafe." The Doctor said after taking a drink of his coffee. Alyssa sitting by him smirking as she took a drink of her own coffee, " I'm finishing my coffee. Lovely spot.You hack people, but us? We're old-fashioned. I hack technology. Alyssa told you not to get cocky Here's your motivation." The Doctor said, and Alyssa hit a key on the keyboard. Before they made the robot turn up the obedience of one of the leaders. Alyssa closed the laptop and looked at Clara who took a breath. The two stood up and Alyssa put her hand on Clara's head before the two walked off.

The two were back in the Tardis as they parked it back at Clara's house a few days later, they heard someone knocking

"Come in." Alyssa said as she sat in the pilot chair looking through her notebook writing some of her most recent adventures in it. "So, they come back, do they?" Clara asked as she entered the Tardis

"Well you never answered his question." Alyssa said, gesturing over to the Doctor who was sitting on the steps reading a book wearing his glasses. "Apparently he didn't like leaving it unanswered."

"What question?" Clara asked,

"You don't seem like a nanny." The Doctor said,

"I was going to travel. I came to stay for a week before I left, and during that week" Clara started, and Alyssa closed her notebook,

"She died, so you're returning the favour." Alyssa said, as the Doctor closed his book, looking up at Clara

" You've got a hundred and one places to see, and you haven't been to any of them, have you? That's why you keep the book." the Doctor said,

"I keep the book because I'm still going." Clara said, as she walked up to the console

"But you don't run out on the people you care about. Wish I was more like that. You know, the thing about a time machine, you can run away all you like and still be home in time for tea, so what do you say? Anywhere. All of time and space, right outside those doors." The Doctor said, as he got up and waked

"Does this work?" Clara asked,

"Does what work?"

"Is this actually what you do? Do you just crook your finger and people just jump in your snog box and fly away?" "It's not a snog box." Alyssa said,

"I'll be the judge of that. You two are a couple right?" Clara asked

"Yes." The Doctor and Alyssa said together, and Clara smiled,

"Starting when?" The Doctor asked,

"Come back tomorrow. Ask me again." Clara said,

"Why?" The Doctor asked,

"Because tomorrow, I might say yes. Sometime after seven okay for you?" Clara said

"It's a time machine any time's okay." Alyssa said,

"See you two then." Clara said, walking back to the door,

"Clara? In your book there was a leaf. Why?" Alyssa asked,

"That wasn't a leaf. That was page one." Clara said, before she left. Alyssa turned towards the Doctor and walked up to the Doctor. Who smiled down at her, she smiled as she grabbed his coat and pulled out the glasses he was just wearing and put them back on him, she looked him over with a slight smile on her face

"Oh you like?" the Doctor said, as he adjusted the glasses

"Yes I do." Alyssa said, before kissing his cheek. "Doctor."

"Yes?"

"When you first saw me you looked at my hand like you were searching for something. Why?" "Im waiting.." He said softly as he started piloting the Tardis, "Waiting for what?" "You to catch up." the Doctor said

"Catch up to what?"

"To me, with me, with certain events I don't know what it means exactly, a future verison of you told me that you needed to catch up. That you would know when that starts."

"Okay, not mysterious at all.." she said as she joined him by the console, and grabbed his hand turning him to face her. She reached up and pressed a hand to his cheek, "How long have you been waiting?" Alyssa asked, and the Doctor looked away, "you were at a monastery when I first saw you this time, Doctor, how long?"

"A while." the Doctor said, "Since the Astronaut."

"Okay, well then I guess I need to take the slow path." Alyssa said,

"She had one more thing she wanted me to tell you. Your future version I mean."

"Okay and that is?" Alyssa said

"You'll know when it has to start when it's time." the Doctor said, as a headache started poking at the back of Alyssa's head, as she froze knowing exactly what he was talking about. She looked up at the Doctor and nodded slowly, as he looked back up at her and saw the golden flecks dancing around her,

"The slow path." She whispered as she jumped.

Authors Note: Hello again everyone! Sorry about the delay with this chapter. I still have been actively been working on this story, but the delay was caused by me not exactly working on this specific chapter. I hope to get one chapter out every weekend. For the playlist I shared with you all I will put the specific song with the chapter  that I was thinking when I chose it. I do need a little bit of help choosing a song, most of the songs I've chosen are for Alyssa and the Doctor or Alyssa and the Master, but I haven't found one specifically for Alyssa yet. any recommendations are extremely welcome for that song . as well as any constructive critisim you would like to give me. I also want to say that there will be a lot of Eleventh Doctor in the next coming chapters. there will still be a few appearances from 10th I promise however 9th I only have 2 episodes left and that  will be a while. the reasoning? well I just explained in the chapter: catching up to a specific moment.
