Alyssa jumped fairly further into the Tardis to see the Doctor and Martha standing near the Tardis console. The Doctor sonicing the phone as he walked away from Martha not noticing Alyssa yet. “Right, there we go. Universal roaming. Never have to worry about a signal again.” He said before he threw the phone to Martha, “No way. This is too mad. You're telling me I can phone anyone, anywhere in space and time on my mobile?” “Well you need to know the Area code,” Alyssa said, making the two jump. before the Doctor smiled and ran over to her, kissing her cheek, making Alyssa blink in shock, “Ah I was wondering when you were going to pop in, when did you just come from?” “The ninth version of you, Rose had saved her dad,” Alyssa said, “How’s your head?”He asked taking her hand, “Better of course. Stopped hurting when I reappeared,”  “I don’t wish to interrupt but I can really call anyone in the universe?” Martha asked, “Yes, again as you know the area code, it's a frequent flyer’s privilege, go on and try it.”  Alyssa said, as she grabbed the scanner to look at it, “Doc.” She muttered,“Yes?” The Doctor said, “There’s a distress signal.” right before the Tardis jittered, and he looked at the scanner and used “Locking on. Might be a bit of.” The Doctor said, as he and Alyssa piloted the Tardis. Right before the three got knocked to the floor. Alyssa letting out a laugh “Didn’t get to finish that sentence did you dear.” Alyssa said, “Turbulence. Sorry.” He said getting up, “Come on, Martha. Let's take a look.” before he ran out the two following him “Distress signal transmitted.” a computer voice said, as hot air enveloped them, “Whoa, now that is hot.” The Doctor said, “Automated distress signal transmitted.” The Computer voice said, “Whuff, it's like a sauna in here.” Martha said, as she exited the Tardis. “Venting systems. Working at full pelt, trying to cool down. Wherever it is we are. Well, if you can't stand the heat” The Doctor said, as he looked at machinery. Before he walked towards a bulkhead door and opened it, “Oi, you three!” A young man yelled as a group of people ran towards them,  “Get out of there!” a woman said, as some of the people ran past them as the three exited the room. “Seal that door, now!” the young man said, as they closed the door. “Who are you? What are you doing on my ship?” the woman said, looking at the three of them. “Are you police?” The young man said, “Why would we be police?” The Doctor asked, “We got your distress signal.” Alyssa muttered, and Martha nodded, “If this is a ship, why can't I hear any engines?” The Doctor said, “It went dead four minutes ago.” the woman said, “What caused it to go dead?” Alyssa asked, frowning as she racked her head for whether or not this was an episode. “So maybe we should stop chatting and get to Engineering. Captain.” The other man said, “Secure closure active.” The Computer voice said, “Secure closure?” Alyssa muttered looking around, “What?” The captain said, “The ship's gone mad.” The other man said, as a woman came through a bulkhead door slamming shut behind her, “Who activated secure closure? I nearly got locked in to area twenty seven.” She said, as the bulkhead slammed shut behind her, before she looked at the Doctor, Alyssa and Martha, “Who are you?” “He's the Doctor, that’s Alyssa and I'm Martha. Hello.” Martha said, before she walked past the group, “Sorry that was not how we wanted to introduce ourselves.” “Impact projection forty two minutes twenty seven seconds.” The computer said, “Impact? What would you be impacting into?” Alyssa said,  “We'll get out of this. I promise.” The captain said, as Martha looked out a window, “Doctor, Alyssa” Martha said, and Alyssa pushed past the group. She joined Martha and looked out the window and she paled. “Forty two minutes until what?” The Doctor asked, “Doctor!” Alyssa yelled, and that caused him to finally join the two by the window, “Look.” She said, “Forty two minutes until we crash into the sun.” the captain said, and the Doctor ran back to the captain and grabbed her arms. “How many crew members on board?” He asekd, “Seven, including us.” The captain said, “We transport cargo across the galaxy. Everything's automated. We just keep the ship spaceworthy.” the older man said, “Call the others, I'll get you out.” The Doctor said, as he started opening the door to where the Tardis was. “Doctor don’t!” Alyssa yelled, “What's he doing?” The younger man asked, “No, don't!” the captain yelled, as the Doctor finally got the door open only to be blasted back due to heat. Alyssa instantly rushed over and grabbed his arm. As the others closed the door. A“But my ship's in there!” The Doctor said, “In the vent chamber?” The young man said, “It's our lifeboat.” The Doctor said, “It's lava.” The Older man said, as the woman walked over to see the temperature, “The temperature's going mad in there. Up three thousand degrees in ten seconds, and still rising.” The woman said, “Channelling the air. The closer we get to the sun, the hotter that room's going to get.” The young man said, “We're stuck here.” Martha said,  “So, we fix the engines, we steer the ship away from the sun. Simple. Engineering down here, is it?” The Doctor said, before he ran down a hall, Alyssa following quickly behind, “Yes.” the captain said, “Impact in forty twenty six.” The computer voice said, “Blimey, do you always leave things in such a mess?” The Doctor said “Being rude again.” Alyssa said, as they looked at the engine that was a complete mess. like someone purposely destroyed it. “Oh, my God.” the captain said, “What the hell happened?” the older man said, “Oh, it's wrecked.” the young man said, “Pretty efficiently too. Someone knew what they were doing.” The Doctor said, as Alyssa started investigating the engine. “Where's Korwin? Has anyone heard from him or Ashton?” the captain said, “No.” The older man said, “You mean someone did this on purpose?” Martha said, walking over to the Doctor, “It's looking like it Alyssa as she brought out her sonic pen and started scanning the engine. As the Doctor looked at a monitor. “Korwin, Ashton? Where are you? Korwin, can you answer? Where the hell is he? He should be up here.” the captain said, “Oh, we're in the Torajii system. Lovely. You're a long way from home, Martha. Half a universe away.” The Doctor said, “Yeah. Feels it.” Martha said, as the Doctor walked over to the captain said,“And you're still using energy scoops for fusion? Hasn't that been outlawed yet?” The Doctor said, “We're due to upgrade next docking. Scannell, engine report.” The captain said, partially avoiding the subject. As Scannell went to the monitor and tried to get the status of the engine.“No response.” Scannell said, “What?” The captain said, as Scannell walked over and looked at the Engine. “They're burnt out. The controls are wrecked. I can't get them back online.” “Wrecked yes impossible to fix? No.” Alyssa muttered, but the group ignored her, “Oh, come on. Auxiliary engines. Every craft's got auxiliaries.” The Doctor said, “We don't have access from here. The auxiliary controls are in the front of the ship.” the captain said,“Yeah, with twenty nine password sealed doors between us and them. You'll never get there in time.” Scannell said, “Can't you override the doors?” Martha said, “No. Sealed closure means what it says. They're all dead-lock sealed.” Scannell said, “So a sonic screwdriver's no use.” The Doctor said, “Nothing's any use. We've got no engines, no time, and no chance.” Scannell said, “Are you guys really giving up before you even started?” Alyssa muttered standing up and walking over to the Doctor, “Alyssa’s right defeated before you've even started. Where's your Dunkirk spirit? Who's got the door passwords?” The Doctor said, “They're randomly generated. Reckon I know most of them. Sorry. Riley Vashti.” Riley said, “Then what're you waiting for, Riley Vashti? Get on it.” The Doctor said, “Well, it's a two person job. One, a technish for the questions, and the other to carry this.” Riley said as he grabbed two bags from above him “The oldest and cheapest security system around, eh, Captain?” Riley said, “Reliable and simple, just like you, eh, Riley?” The captain said, “Try and be helpful, get abuse. Nice.” Riley said, “I'll help you. Make myself useful.” Martha said, grabbing one of the bags from Riley, “It's remotely controlled by the computer panel. That's why it needs two.” Riley said, as the two started to walk off“Martha” Alyssa called out, and Martha turned around, “Be careful,” “You too.” Martha said, “McDonnell. It's Ashton.” Ashton called over the intercoms, “Where are you? Is Korwin with you?” McDonnell said, “Get up to the med-centre now!” Ashton said, before the three ran off and past Martha and Riley. “Impact in thirty four thirty one.” The Computer said,     The three rushed into the med center to see a man and a woman trying to get a man on a bed to stop struggling, “Korwin! What's happened? Is he okay?” McDonnell said, as she rushed over, “Help me! It's burning me!” Korwin yelled, and the Doctor and Alyssa rushed over, “How long's he been like this?” The Doctor asked, “Ashton just brought him in.” the woman said, as the Doctor brought out his sonic screwdriver and started scanning Korwin. “ What are you doing?” McDonnell said, “Don't get too close.” the Doctor said, “Don't be so stupid. That's my husband.” McDonnell said, before McDonnell half got on the bed and grabbed Korwin’s hand, “And he's just sabotaged our ship.” Ashton said, “What?” McDonnell said, “He went mad. He put the ship onto secure closure, then he set the heat pulse to melt the controls.” Ashton said, “No way. He wouldn't do that.” McDonnell said, “I saw it happen, Captain.” Ashton said, “Korwin? Korwin, open your eyes for me a second.” The Doctor said, “I can't!” Korwin said, “Yeah, course you can. Go on.” Alyssa said, “Don't make me look at you, please.” Korwin said, before Alyssa walked over and picked up a medicinal gun on the table. “All right, all right, all right. Just relax.” The Doctor said, and took the gun Alyssa held out to him “Sedative?” “Yes.” the woman said, and the Doctor injected Korwin and he fell back unconscious. “What's wrong with him?” McDonnell said, “Rising body temperature, unusual energy readings.” Alyssa said, before the Doctor saw the machine they were trying to get him into. “Stasis chamber. I do love a good stasis chamber. Keep him sedated in there. Regulate the body temperature. And, just for fun, run a bioscan and tissue profile on a metabolic detail.” The Doctor said, “Just doing them now.” the woman said, “Oh, you're good. Anyone else presenting these symptoms?” Alyssa said, “Not so far.” The woman said, “Well, that's something.” the Doctor said, “Will someone tell me what is the matter with him?” McDonnell said, “Some sort of infection. We'll know more after the test results. Now, allons-y, back downstairs. Hey. See about those engines. Go.” The Doctor said, and Ashton left the Med bay, but McDonnell stayed looking at Korwin, “Hey. Go.” The Doctor finished, and McDonnell followed Ashton out. Before Alyssa and the Doctor also turned to leave.“Call us if there's news. Any questions?” Alyssa said, as they left the room “Yeah. Who are you?” the woman asked, and both the Doctor and Alyssa popped their head in for a second. “I'm the Doctor.” The Doctor said, “I’m Alyssa.” Alyssa said, before the two of them left, “Heat shield failing. At twenty-five percent. Impact in thirty two fifty” The computer voice said,

“Abi, how's Korwin doing? Any results from the bio-scan?” The Doctor asked over the Comm, ass they were working on the engine. “He's under heavy sedation. I'm just trying to make sense of this data. Give me a couple of minutes and I'll let you know.” Abi said, as Alyssa looked up from where she was sonicing the engine trying to find a way to repair it, “I need a bigger head.” She muttered, as she got up and walked over to the comm “hey Abi can you bring the Bio-scan to me? Korwin will be fine there alone.” she said trying to get Abi away from Korwin, “Okay, on my way.” Abi said, and the Doctor joined her looking at Alyssa confused, before he used the comms. “Martha? Riley? How're you doing?” The Doctor asked, “Area twenty nine, at the door to twenty eight.” Martha responded, “Yeah, you've got to move faster.” The Doctor said, “We're doing our best.” Martha said, “Find the next number in the sequence three one three” Riley read off, “Three three one, three six seven. What?” “You said the crew knew all the answers.” Martha said, “The crew's changed since we set the questions.” Riley said, “Oh you have got to be kidding.” Alyssa muttered looking at the Doctor, “You're joking.” Martha said, as the Doctor ran back over to the comms “Three seven nine.” The Doctor said, into the comms.“What?” Martha said, “It's a sequence of happy primes. Three seven nine.” “Happy what?” Martha asked “Oh just enter it.” Alyssa called out, “Are you sure? We only get one chance.”  Riley said, “Any number that reduces to one when you take the sum of the square of its digits and you continue iterating until it yields one is a happy number.  Any number that doesn't, isn't. A happy prime is a number that is both happy and prime. Now type it in!” The Doctor said, into the comm before turning into McDonnell as she climbed down a ladder, “I don't know, talk about dumbing down! Don't they teach recreational mathematics any more?” “We're through!” Martha called out over the comms. “Keep moving, fast as you can. And, Martha, be careful.” The Doctor said, into the comms once more. “There may be something else on board this ship.” before he glanced at Alyssa who nodded, “Any time you want to unnerve me, feel free.” Martha said,  “Will do, thanks.” the Doctor  said, before he turned to the others,“Impact in thirty fifty.” The computer voice said, continuing the count down until they hit the sun. “We need a backup in case they don't reach the auxiliary engines in time. Come on, think. Resources. What have we got?” The Doctor asked, “Doctor?” Martha called over the Comms once more, “What is it now?” The Doctor asked,  Who had the most number ones, Elvis or the Beatles. That's pre-download.”  Martha said, “Elvis.” The Doctor said, before he changed his mind  “No! The Beatles! No! Wait! Er, er. Oh, what was that remix? Er, I don't know. I am a bit busy.” “Fine. I'll ask someone else.” Martha said, before he got off Comm. “Now, where was I? Here comes the sun. No, resources. So, the power's still working, the generator's going. If we can harness that. Ah!” The Doctor said, “Use the generator to jump-start the ship.” McDonnell said, “Exactly. At the very least, it'll buy us some more time.” The Doctor said, “That is brilliant.” McDonnell said, “I know. See? Tiny glimmer of hope. keeps you going.” Alyssa said, smiling a little bit at her,“If it works.” Scannell said, “Oh, believe me. You're going to make it work.” McDonnell said, “That told him.” the Doctor said, “Impact in twenty nine forty six.” the computer voice said, as Abi ran into the engine room. “Oh awesome.” Alyssa said before she walked over and took the bio-scans from her, and held it up to the light, reading the results. “Oh good thing you left the med-bay.” “Why I thought I was going crazy, I was looking over it as I walked and it started to scare me.” “Why?” The Doctor said taking the results from Alyssa and looked over it. “His whole body is changing, his whole biological make up.” Abi said, “He’s not infected, Abi, he’s being overwhelmed.” Alyssa said, “Internal temperature, one hundred degrees! Body oxygen replaced by hydrogen.” The Doctor said, looking at the results “Alyssa was right he's not infected, he's being overwhelmed” “It's almost as if something is taking over his body.” Alyssa said, “The results are wrong!” McDonnell said, ripping the bio-scan from the Doctor’s hands“McDonnell I will try and help Korwin but we need to keep working on the generator.” “burn with me.” Korwins voice said over the intercom, “burn with me.” “well I think Korwin is awake. I think Abi, that if Korwin is being taken over he would’ve killed you.” Alyssa said, “but how?” Abi asked, “Burn with me.” she muttered, before turning to McDonnell “do you have any idea of what could’ve caused this type of infection? Where's the ship been? Have you made planet-fall recently? Docked with any other vessels? Any kind of external contact at all?” Alyssa said, “What is this, an interrogation?” McDonnell said, “No, it is not, but we need to stop him before he actually kills someone.” Alyssa said, “Korwin is not a killer,” McDonnell said, “No Korwin is not, but what took over him is. because whatever parasite that invaded him is angry. We need to know what caused it to be angry at you.” Alyssa said, “We're just a cargo ship.” McDonnell said, turning away from her she let out an annoyed sigh before turning to the Doctor. “Just give her a minute.” Scannell said, “I'm fine. I need to warn the others.” McDonnell said before she walked over to the Comms “Everybody, listen to me. Something has infected Korwin. We think that he wants to kill us. None of you must go anywhere near him, is that clear?” McDonnell said, “Understood, Captain,”  Ashton said, before he walked over to the comms as well. “Erina? Get back here with that equipment.” “Oh I really do need a bigger head,” Alyssa muttered, before she turned away and walked over to the wall. “this wasn’t an episode?” the Doctor asked, following her, “yes it was, but usually when I tell humans I’m psychic they get all defensive start telling me ‘why didn’t i stop it’ and more, I just find it's easier to act like you don’t know anything and act like saving a life was just by pure chance. because when you tell them what’s going on they get scared and in my opinion there is nothing worse then a scared human because when they are scared they start killing or they won’t listen to reason. but we have more important things to worry about.” Alyssa muttered“And what’s that?” “Korwin just killed Erina.” she whispered, making the Doctor suck in a breath “I got so caught up with saving Abi I forgot all about her.” “Can you two stop whispering over there and tell me is the infection permanent? Can you cure him?” McDonnell said,  “We don't know.” The Doctor said, looking back at the others. “Don't lie to me, Doctor. Eleven years we've been married. We chose this ship together. He keeps me honest, so I don't want false hope.” McDonnell said, “The parasite's too aggressive. Your husband's gone. There's no way back. I'm sorry.” The Doctor said, “Thank you.” McDonnell said, “Are you certain nothing happened to provoke this? Nobody's working on anything secret? Because it's vital that you tell me.” Alyssa asked once again, “I know every inch of this ship. I know every detail of my crew's lives. There is nothing.” McDonnell said “Then why is this thing so interested in you?” The Doctor said, “I wish I knew.” McDonnell said,  “Im an inventor.” Alyssa said “If there is a way to save Korwin, we need to be in the Med bay, I have the scans maybe I can do something.” “The Doctor said, there’s no hope.”  McDonnell said, “No hope that we have at our disposal right now. He usually forgets I invented things.” Alyssa said, “Oi.” the Doctor said, “It's true.” Alyssa muttered “Well lets go then, Ashton you stay here and work on the engine Scannell you’re with me.” McDonnell said, and the four headed to the med bay “What are you doing, there is really no hope.” The Doctor whispered to Alyssa “I know, we just needed to get away from the engine room.” Alyssa said, “Doctor, we're through to area seventeen.” Martha said, as soon as they got to the Med-bay,“Keep going. You've got to get to area one and reboot those engines.” The Doctor said, “Oh I really do need a bigger head!” Alyssa muttered once more. “Doctor! We're stuck in an escape pod off the area seventeen airlock.” Martha called out over the comms, “One of the crew's trying to jettison us! You've got to help us!”“Why is this happening?” McDonnell said, “Stay here. I mean it this time! Jump start those engines!” The Doctor said, before he and Alyssa rushed off to get to Martha.     they soon got to where the Airpod was and they saw Ashton at a keyboard pressing buttons trying to jettison the pod. “That's enough! What do you want? Why this ship? Tell me.” The Doctor said,“Please we can help you!” Alyssa said, before he hit the electronic keyboard and walked towards them, “Come on. Let's see you. I want to know what you really are.” the Doctor said, as Ashton stood in front of the two and reached his hand up to his visor. Before he doubled over in pain, he straightened and pushed past the two. “Airlock sealed.” the Computer said, before the Doctor ran over to the comms, “McDonnell? Ashton's heading in your direction.” The Doctor said, “He's been infected, just like Korwin!” “Korwin's dead, Doctor.” Scannell said,  “Airlock decompression completed. Jettisoning pod.” The Computer said, and The Doctor looked out of the window at Martha, and Alyssa joined him “Doctor! Alyssa!” They saw Martha mouthed, hitting the window, “I'll save you!” the Doctor said, “Doctor! Alyssa.” They saw Martha mouth once more. “I'll save you!” The Doctor said, “I can't hear you!” Martha mouthed, “I'll save you!” The Doctor said, once more. before he rushed over to the comm “Scannell! I need a spacesuit in area seventeen now!” “What for?” Scannell said, “Just get down here!” The Doctor yelled,  and a couple minutes passed and Scannell came into the area with a spacesuit, which the Doctor immediatly grabbed and started putting on. “I can't let you do this.” Scannell said, “You're wasting your breath, Scannell. You're not going to stop me.” The Doctor said, “Yeah really I would try and tell him to not do this but it wouldn’t do any good.” Alyssa said, “You want to open an airlock in flight on a ship spinning into the sun. No one can survive that.” Scannell said, “Oh, just you watch.” The Doctor said, “You open that airlock, it's suicide. This close to the sun, the shields will barely protect you.” Scannell said, “If I can boost the magnetic lock on the ship's exterior, it should remagnetise the pod. Now, while I'm out there, you have got to get the rest of those doors open. We need those auxiliary engines.” The Doctor said, “Doctor, will you listen! They're too far away. It's too late.” Scannell said, “Don’t waste your breath Scannell” Alyssa said, as she walked over to the Doctor “Don’t look at the sun.” Alyssa said, “Why not.”  The Doctor said, “just trust me, don’t look at the sun.” Alyssa said, and the Doctor nodded, before he stepped into the airlock, “Decompression initiated. Impact in twelve fifty five.” the computer said, as the Doctor walked out to open the airlock. “Impact in eleven fifteen. Heat shield failing. At ten percent.” The Doctor walked out and tried to reach some buttons. “Doctor, how're you doing?” Alyssa said, into the Doctor’s comm, “I can't, I can't reach! I don't know how much longer I can last.” The Doctor said, “Come on. Don't give up now. Martha needs you.” Alyssa said, and the Doctor finally got the lever pulled, before he pulled himself back into the Airlock and looked at the sun, “It's alive. It's alive. It's alive!” He said, before he crawled back into the ship as the escape pod docked, “Doctor?” Alyssa said, as she walked over to the Doctor and grabbed his arm. “Airlock recompression completed.” The computer said, “Doctor! Doctor! Are you okay?” Martha said, as she rushed inside, and the Doctor opened his eyes briefly and a white light shone from him. “You looked at the sun didn’t you.” Alyssa muttered, as she grabbed his hand, “Stay away from me!” The Doctor said, “never.” Alyssa muttered, as she grabbed his arm leaning next to him. “What's happened?” “It's your fault, Captain McDonnell!” The Doctor said, “Riley, get down to area ten and help Scannell with the doors. Go!” McDonnell yelled, and Riley ran off, “You mined that sun. Stripped its surface for cheap fuel. You should have scanned for life!” The Doctor said, “I don't understand.” McDonnell said, “Doctor, what are you talking about?” Martha said, “The sun is alive.” Alyssa said, “A living organism. They scooped out its heart, used it for fuel, and now it's screaming!” The Doctor said, “What do you mean? How can a sun be alive? Why is he saying that?” “Aliens can look like anything McDonnell, it could be a red small creature, or something that looks like a Sun. he knows it's alive because it’s living in him.” “Oh, my God.” McDonnell said, “Humans! You grab whatever's nearest and bleed it dry! You should have scanned!” The Doctor yelled, before he screamed, “It takes too long. We'd be caught. Fusion scoops are illegal.” McDonnell said, “Martha Alyssa, You've got to freeze me, quickly.” The Doctor said, “What?” Martha said, “Stasis chamber. You've got to take it below minus two hundred. Freeze it out of me! It'll use me to kill you if you don't. The closer we get to the sun, the stronger it gets! Med-centre, quickly! Quickly!” the Doctor said, and Alyssa moved to get him up. “Help me!” Alyssa said looking at Martha, and Martha grabbed his other arm, and they started towards the med-bay. “Impact in seven thirty.” the computer said, as they got to the med-bay and Alyssa rushed forward to the stasis chamber, and started typing at the control system. “Alyssa, where are you?” the Doctor said, and Alyssa rushed back over to him “It’s Alright, Im here,” he said, grabbing his arm, “Help me get him and into the Stasis chamber,” and the three helped her get the Doctor into the stasis chamber. Martha being by the one by the controls. “minus two hundred, yeah?” Martha asked, “No, you don't know how this equipment works. You'll kill him. Nobody can survive those temperatures.” McDonnell said, “He's not human. If he says he can survive, then he can.” Alyssa said, “Let me help you, then.” McDonnell said, “No you get away from him!” Alyssa yelled, and McDonnell stumbled back “You've done enough damage.” “Ten seconds. That's all I'll be able to take. No more. Alyssa.” The Doctor said, and Alyssa grabbed his hand“Im right here,” she said, “It's burning me up. I can't control it. If you don't get rid of it, I could kill you. I could kill you all. I'm scared! I'm so scared!” The Doctor said, “It's not going to kill you I promise, believe in me and believe in Martha.” Alyssa said, “It's burning through me. Then what'll happen?” The Doctor said, “That's enough! I've got you.” Alyssa said, before looking up at Martha, and nodded, “Martha there's this process, this thing that happens if I'm about to die.” The Doctor said, “Shush,” Alyssa said, “that is not going to happen,” “Are you ready?” Martha said, “No.”  The Doctor said, as Martha used a joystick to cause the Doctor to roll into the Stasis chamber, and Martha typed in negative two hundred and pressed the start button and the Doctor started screaming, “Heat shields failing. At five percent.” The computer said, “No! Alyssa, Martha, you can't stop it. Not yet.” The Doctor yelled as the stasis chamber turned off. “What happened?” Martha said as McDonnell went to see what had happened, “Power's been cut in Engineering.” McDonnell said, “But who's down there?” Martha said, “Leave it to me.” McDonnell said, before she took of. “Impact in four forty seven.” the computer said, “Come on. You're defrosting.” Martha soon said,, after the ice left his body. “Alyssa Martha, listen! I've only got a moment. You've got to go!” The Doctor yelled, “No way.” Alyssa muttered, “Get to the front. Vent the engines. Sun particles in the fuel, get rid of them.” the Doctor said, and Martha hesitated looking at Alyssa. “Go Martha! Im not going to leave him,” Alyssa said, and Martha nodded before she rushed out of the med-bay. “Alyssa you have to go too. “I am not leaving you.” Alyssa said, “You've got to give back what they took.” “Martha can handle it alone.” Alyssa said,“Please go!” “When will you get it through your thick skull, I will never leave you.” Alyssa said, as the computer continued counting the time left. as the Doctor started pulling himself out of the stasis chamber, and fell to the floor before Alyssa grabbed his arm, as he screamed, pulling back when he pulled himself from her grasp “I can’t fight it. you have to go.” the Doctor said,  “No, I will never leave your side.” “Please, just go.” “No.” she said once more, as she grabbed his arm again. “Burn with me Alyssa, Burn with me.” The Doctor muttered, and Alyssa let go of his arm and backed up. “I..” Alyssa said, her mouth not finding the right words. before she saw the Doctor start opening his eyes and she jumped off to the side before the light could reach her, and shut her eyes. Right before the light left the Doctor’s eyes. “Alyssa?” he muttered, and Alyssa opened her eyes and looked at him to see him staring at her, she jumped up and threw her arms around him. “I told you not to look at the sun you idiot.” she whispered, “Yeah,” He muttered, as he wrapped his arms around her, picking her up, tightening the hug. “Room for one more?” Martha’s voice said, and the Doctor put Alyssa down and the two of them looked at her “Of course.” The Doctor muttered and they all hugged each other, “Impact averted. Impact averted. Impact averted.” The computer said, as the ship started moving away from the son.     the group looked at the Tardis as Martha, Alyssa and the Doctor were about to leave. “This is never your ship.” Scannell said, “Compact, eh? And another good word, robust. Barely a scorch mark on her.” The Doctor said, as he investigated the Tardis. “We can't just leave you drifting with no fuel.” Martha said, “We’ve sent out an official mayday. The authorities'll pick us up soon enough.” Riley said, “Good thats good.” Alyssa said, standing next to the Doctor taking his hand, “Though how we explain what happened” Scannell said, “Just tell them. That sun needs care and protection just like any other living thing.” The Doctor said, before he opened the Tardis and he and Alyssa stepped inside.
