Chapter 16 - Goodbye

One day before go back to LAI woke up little late this morning and go get breakfast. "Hey, Corner!" I jump to his back. "Oh hey" he's flinch and smile. "Awww, you're flinch" I said in touch his cheeks. "Haha, I know" he said. Then we walked to grab the breakfast. We started to eat and talking. *ring ring* my phone again. It was Johan why would she calling me however I'll pick up. "Hi Johan. What's up?" I said. "Hey— umm I think Cha- Charlie Puth is waiting for you and in front of our house" she said in the stunning voice. "Oh ok..Wait WHAT!!!!" I said and realized it's Charlie waiting for me. "Is everything ok Alexa?" Corner asked. "Yeah, Yeah" "I gotta go" I said and run out . "Wait for me" Corner said and run following me. There's Charlie. *gasp, gasp* "Why are you here?" I asked Charlie and look straight at him. "I just want to take you somewhere." He said. "Well, ummm..." I said and look at Corner. I can see that he's little confused what happened and Johan that looking from trough the window inside the house. "Ok well, Can I take Corner and Johan too?" I said and cross my arms. "Fine, I'll let you get dressed" he said and get in the car. "Hey, is that Charlie Puth?" Corner whispers. "Yes, he is" I answered and go in my house. "Hey Alexa, I think you could go with Corner. I'll stay here" Johan said. "Ok, I'll see you later" I said and go in my room.

A few minutes later I finished myself and get in Charlie's car, front seat by the way. We're not talking a lot. I just talking with Corner and just a little with Charlie. "So you guys are couple huh?" Charlie asked. I think the way he said is so weird. Is he mad? Whatever. "Actually—" "It could be in the future." Corner said. I look at Corner and smile, in the shy way. "Nice." Charlie said and keep driving. About 30 minuets later Corner want to go to the restroom so we stopped at the mall somewhere. Corner go out of the car about 5 min then I think I need to talk with Charlie because he's too quiet. I place my hand on his thigh it's lite I hit him but just make a sound. He's seen little flinch and look at me. "Charlie are you ok?" I said. "I am." He said. I know he's not. "What happened? You can tell me everything." I said. "Ah, thanks for caring me but I'm fine" he said and didn't look at me "What the heck, you don't even look at me." I said and trying to get his attention. I move my face close to him and he suddenly turn his face to me so it's look like two people gonna kiss. "I doing now. Is this another thing I can do for you?" He said and move place his hand on my head and another one on my cheeks. He's move closer I tilted my head a little and closing my eyes. Then he's making my hair mess. "What did you do. Noo!" I said. "Hahahaha" then he's laughing and Corner are getting in the car.

About a hour We arrived at some place and looks like it's Charlie's planned. "Charlie..I'm hungry." I said and shake his hand. "Okay...let's find something for you" he said and grabbed my hand. So now we're holding hand and walking like a couple...STOP IT ALEXA. I don't know but I still like him and Corner too. Ugh Charlie's not gonna like me however. Finally we're in the lobby of this place. I guess this is some outdoor hotel. Then Charlie's talking something with the staff that standing in the other sides of check-in table. He's still holding my hand by the way. Uh I almost forgot about Corner. "Hey Corner, are you hungry?" I asked and turn to him. "Little." He said and smile. "There is your house key." Charlie said and give one to Corner. "This is yours" he's put the key in my coat pocket. Then we walking to the cafeteria of this place. We ordered the food and eat it. I feel little awkward suddenly my phone ring again. "Hi Amber" I said. "Heyy. You're eating? With who?" She asked because she's can see from the FaceTime. "With Charlie—" "aww, you guys are date?" She's speak over me. "Nooo, Corner are here too" I said to clear her thoughts. "Love triangle..interesting" she said for the joke. "Shut up. I'll see you later" then I hurry hang up the phone. Dang it this is more awkward. What should I do? "Are we dating?" Charlie ask and I can see him smirked. Yes. The old Charlie is coming back. "What? No." I said I land I feel little abash. "Remember..someone called DADDY while she's about to—" I use my hand to cover his mouth. To make him shut up. Because Corner will know what the embarrassing things I did. Then Charlie's remove my hand off and and place it on my cheeks. "Stop!" I said. I know what did he thinks. It's mean kiss cheeks because it's touch his lips. "Flushing huh?" He said and move his face closer to me. "Corner..help" I shake Corner hand for help. Then  move his hand cover my eyes. "Arg..no one help me" now I was pranking by two guys.

After we finished our food so we go to our house. For each. I using my phone. Go into Instagram and other. The I got a text from Corner.

Corner: wanna walk?Alexa: sure!

I get out of my house and finding Corner. There he is. I found him and we're walking on the snow. We talking on the way and the we stop somewhere. "You know what. I want to know you at the first time we met" he said and holding my hand. "Me too" I said. Then he's move my hand on his shoulder and he's hold my back. We're moving closer. His one hand are on my face. I close my eyes I can feel that he's close to me now. I move my one hand cover his neck. We still moving I move my head to the right angle. I know what's gonna happens. I never kiss before but I will right now. "Ugh, I finding you guys for each house but I saw no one. So—" What the fick. It's Charlie again. I really want to tell him to stop doing this. I mean ruin the moments. "Yes, we're here. What's up?" I ask and raise my eyebrow. "Are you mad. So sorry. What's DADDY can do for you?" He said and smirked. I run to him and whisper him to stop say this things. We all go back to the house. I thinking about tomorrow. How it will goes? Do they gonna forget me? I mean Corner and Johan. Do we would still contact each other or just end up here? It's a lot of things to thinking about. I won't leave but however I have no choice and it's for my college. I just came here for a reason. Me and Charlie are going well but not that well just a fan and artist. I know I just a dreamer. I can't even call him friend. Cuz he's not. It is something more friend but still less than couple. About Corner we just met for almost month. I don't know him enough though I know he's nice to me but it's complicated. I might have some feelings for him but it's not that much to say love or like. I don't What is it actually. Would I found someone that's gonna be for me? Or it's not exist? I have no idea...

Several moments laterI opened my eyes and the first thing I see is Charlie's face. "Uh!." I said little bit stunned. "Finally wake up" he said and clear some of my hair that covering my face. "How long have you been inside ?" I asked. "Not that long. I just came" he said and smile. His smile are reminding me on the past that we've been going out together and did something. I slowly sit up and looking at him. I can see that he's hiding something in his mind and I want to know what is it. "Charlie." I grabbed his hand. "You can tell me everything." I slightly smile."*inhale, exhale* I— I just..." then he's change his face to just straight mouth so that I can't read his mind anymore. "I will miss you Alexa." He said and look other way. "Ok..." I said and l feel little disappointed. How long he's gonna trust me? Or never. "Actually..let's go to the cafeteria. Corner waiting for you there" he's stand up and then help me to stand up. We're walking to the cafeteria in silence again. I decided to grabbed his hand and holding while walk till we're found Corner. I feel weird. It's like I missing him even he's still holding my hand right next to me. I miss the old Charlie who took me to amusement park in that day. I miss Charlie who pat my hair and say the funny things to me but all I can do it's just keep thinking about it. One day he'll have a someone who always there for him and it's definitely not me. I'm not realize that the tears are start to going out of my eyes and my breath making a weird sound. "Are you crying?" Charlie's stop walking and looking at me. "What happened? Why are you crying" he asked and wiping my tears that's making me crying more than I just think. "Can I hug you?" My voice are shaking and my tear is going out a lot. "Yes, why not. You don't need to ask me." He said and hugging me. I know my tears are dropped on his shirt but I can't help it. I don't know what is happening to me but I feel sad. Very sad. "Can you promise. You will not forget me." I said and holding his hand. "I promise." He said and pat my hair. It's make me thinking of every time he did it. But I admit it's my fault from the start. I choose to hurting myself. And now I got the consequences. I try to stop crying and continue walking to the cafeteria.

We're in the cafeteria. Charlie's found where Corner sit and we're ordered some food. For example it's Slow-Cooked Salmon with Broccolini, Spaghetti with Broccoli Pesto. Sound delicious I know.  I staring at Charlie the whole time. I don't want to lose him. I mean I don't want to didn't see him anymore. In person. Sometimes I looking at Corner because he will feel awkward if I only paying attention for Charlie. We're dinner for several hours. Corner and Charlie finally talking like a normal people. So it's help me less awkward than the first time. It's about 3 pm now. We finally go back to the house I decided to changed. I bring just 2 dress for this vacation. Charlie said just bring a little. At first I think people will see from the outside but they can't. Because the house are made of glass! I finished changed and then I choose to draw something on my phone drawing apps. 2+ hours later. I finished my pic it's just some natural view. I don't know what to do so I going out of the house and  keep walking till it's somewhere I don't know so I stop walking and look at my phone it's about to 12 am now. Then someone hands are covering my eyes. And I know who is it. I will never forget this soft touch from his hand. "Charlie" I said and holding place my hand on his."Wow, you remember my hand" he said and remove my hand. "You're unforgettable" I said and giggles. "Uh..okay..." he said and look down. Is he's blushing!?!?! So cute!! "It's colddd" I said and hug him. It's good when he's hugging me back. "Look at the sky" he said. "Wow"

This is amazing. Northern lights. It's beautiful. "This is why I take you here" he said and smile. I'm smiling too. "Thank you Charlie!" I said and hugging him again. I perk and look at him. Oh my god his eyes are so gorgeous I can't explain. We're moving closer. He's hugging me now and he's moving his to my waist. One move up to back of my head. I started to move my hand up to his hair. I still remember the feelings when we pretend to kissed on the street. But now we don't need to pretend right? And this is my first kiss by the way. I closing my eyes and I can  feel his breathe impact my face. I'm ready now. Suddenly he's lift my chin up a little and kissing my forehead. After that he's hugging me and pat my hair while I lean my head on his chest. I feeling warm but little bit sad at the same time. I rethink how many times I think he gonna kiss me but it's just only me think like that. Everything are showed up in my mind. When he's put the gummy in my mouth. When he's looking at my drawing and said he's like it. When he's feeling guilty because forgot to give the phone to me. When we're running together in the creepy castle. When we're eating at the restaurant. When I tell him what's in my mind on the Farris wheel. When I asked him to call it a date. When we're texting goodnight to each other. Is it the end of it? But we can't escape the truth. I just can accept it. I have my way wait for me and Charlie have his way and his fans waiting for him. It's time to left these memories behind and start my own way again. I do appreciate everything he does for me. Even he's didn't feel anything for me. "Charlie...I wanna say thank you for everything you does for me when I live here." "I appreciate it and I'm sorry if I don't have a chance to pay it back to you." "Today is my last day here" "I want you to know that I will support you in somewhere far away from you but—" "you don't have to say everything Alexa" "do you want me to go at the airport tomorrow?" He asked. "No, it's fine." "One last thing...." This is so hard to say but I need to cut him off and focus on myself. "Goodbye Charlie" I smile and walking away.

I don't know why I'm crying it's just a word but it's hurt as hell. I walking to Corner house and knock it. He's finally open and let me in. We're sitting down and I hugging him. I still crying and said. "I will miss you Corner." "I wish one day we'll met again" I said. "I hope so" he said. I stay at Corner for a moment then I decided to go back at my house.

I'm so tired from everything and I sleep easily.I woke up at 5 in the morning. Changed my clothes and go get breakfast. Then Charlie's drive me and Corner back at the guest house. I still do the same as I do. Waved at him before he leave. And it's will be the last smile I can see from him pass through the window of his car. I get my stuff that I already packed up and go to the airport by guest house bus. Johan also go with me at the airport. It's 11 now. My flight are 12 pm. So I need to come before the time. We're talking a lot. "Hey I gotta go now" I tell them and start to walking to the waiting room. They're walk me to the door. "Bye guys" I hugged Johan and Corner. "Wait Alexa!" Corner yelled and run to me. "Hey" I said. "I have something to give you" he said and show me the bracelet. "What is those things means"  I see the pendants are the book, the snowflake and the cake. "It's my favorite time with you here" he said and wearing it on my wrist. "Thank you so much" I said and staring at the bracelet. "Bye Corner" I said and walking into the room. But I decided to run back to him again. I hurrying hold the back of his head and kiss him just 2 second and I run away.

Now I'm on the plane now. I finding some movies to watch. I ate the lunch and nap. 5 hours later...Finally arrived to LA ahhhh sooo happy I hate to stayed on airplane. I calling taxi to go home. I'm so tired so I fell asleep when I got home.The next morning ...I just clean myself and go to college. I meet Amber at the cafeteria. We're talking soooo much things and we're work on the project till it's done.Our project are passed so we're get a hornor music when we're education. I feel really happy about our project and other things. My teacher told me that there is some music company want me to be a instrument player for them. So I'll think about it.

3 months laterThis is my education day. I'm so happy. And I signed to be a instrument player for that company. I can play bass, keyboard and drum set. Amber can play flute, saxophone and xylophone I can play xylophone either. I'm glad my mom and dad are not stop me to do the music thing and I'm proud of myself.

1 year laterI got a news that Corner gonna open the new branch of his guest house In LA. So he's asked me to be his partner that night and of course I will go. Later till the event this night..Corner pick me up at my condo. "Hi Corner!" I said and get in the car. "Hi Alex! I miss you so much!" He said. "Uh..me too" I said and hugging him. "Well, let's go!" He said and driving to his guest house. I met many people at the event. It's looks more luxury than the Fairbanks and I think it's seems nice in the other ways. We celebrate for him and having so much fun. I wish Johan here. "Hey. What are you thinking" he familiar voice from last year are spoked besides me. "Johan! Oh my god" I hugged her and we're walking around the party. We talking a lot like how is she living In New York and others. And so Corner said me and Johan can come here whenever and get a VIP room for free! How nice.

1 year laterI was becoming a young talented producer. Actually this is what in the news said. So my boss tell me that I have some produce thing to work with other producers and one of them are so talented like very very talented and professional than me. When I heard the first time it's make me annoyed and want to know is that person. For the year that I work here many people said that I'm good at this and they're ready to let me work with the bigger producer. Tomorrow I need to meeting that annoying talented person. I wonder how cool that person is. However let's get some energy for tomorrow.

The next morning..I woke up at 7 and eating my breakfast. I makeup and wearing my black sleeve dress. Just for look professional. The meeting are 10. And it's 9 now. My boss said I gotta to the restaurant and it's gonna have the private room for business meeting. I finally arrived at the restaurant and I showed the pass to staff. Actually this is look like skyscrapers more than just restaurant. Then I walking into the private zone. I then I found my meeting room. I opened the door and I see the guy. He's wearing the dark blue suit and looking out the window (we can see the LA view from this tower). I wonder who he is and is this the person my boss said very talented. I decided to say something first. "Ha— hi?" I said and swallowed. Then he's turn around back to me and says. "Miss me Alexa?" He's smile. I dropped my jaw before I run to him and hugging him. "Oh my—. I miss you very very much" I hold him tight and him too. "I think I'll never gonna met you again" I said very excited. "Haha. Calm down. It's called a destiny" Charlie said and hugging me.
