Chapter 26

Tiana's POV

It was 5:05, U.K. time and we finally got our bags on as Fallon walked with me and acted kind of weird. I was about to ask her though but then she was talking to someone on the phone and went to the somewhere all of a sudden so I just shrugged it off.

A few moments later, as we were walking down the hall, someone from our school who looked really familiar to me played the piano and another guy playing the guitar at the airport of a piece that I'm not familiar with. Then all of a sudden, I saw Liam in the corner.

"Liam!" I called out but he just smiled and walked slowly towards me.

You say hello, but you don't know

You make the lights in the room explo-oh-ode.

He sang and then gave me a yellow tulip.

"What--?" I said, confused as he just smiled at me and when to the side and then I saw one of my teammates who just left me earlier, Michael Chavis, who started singing a little bit out of tune.

Don't need make-up, to cover up

Being the way that you are is enou-uh-ough.

He sang and gave me a white tulip as I chuckled a bit due to his bad singing which made him laugh and blush. After he gave me the tulip, I then saw Gemma, Anne and--

"Mom and daddy?" I said, looking at them questioningly as they grinned and sang together with Gemma and Anne and the people at the airport.

Everyone else in the room can see it

Everyone else but you...

And there. There I saw Marcel looking oh so gorgeous, holding a bouquet of white and yellow tulips-- my favorite flowers--- as Fallon raised both of her hands as if she was revealing Marcel from it as Marcel walked slowly while singing.

"Fallon? What--? I don't understand what's going on.." I said looking awkwardly at everyone as all the people stared and smiled at us.

Baby you light up my world like nobody else

The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed

He started singing as I blushed and looked down.

But when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell

"Seriously?" I said as Marcel continued singing while the crowd sings along.

If only you saw what I can see

Right now I'm looking at you and I can't believe

He finished as he finally came close to me, standing really close that it became awkward.

"Hey," he said, his voice deep and oh God I can't explain.

"H-Hey.." I said, biting my lips "What's going on?" I added as he smirked and gave me the bouquet of flowers.

"Congratulations for winning the competition," he said as I stared at him with wide eyes.

"You know? How come??" I said as he glanced at Fallon who was already doing the peace sign at me.

"Fallon told me," he said, chuckling.

"Yeah I can see that," I said "So.. uhmm.. what's all this?" I added. He then turned to my parents and his family as they gave him a thumbs up.

"Tiana, I know that you know that you are a very close-to-perfect kind of girl. A lot of people admired you for your looks, talents and of course, your intelligence. But there is one thing about you that I really fell for... your personality." Marcel said, looking deeply into my eyes as I froze.

He-- fell for me? I thought to myself as he smiled like he knew what I was thinking.

"I fell for you like how the apple that fell on Isaac Newton before he discovered gravity." he said as I laughed which made the people chuckle. "Right now, I'm taking this as an opportunity to confess how I really feel about you. Tiana... I love you." he said as I literally froze with wide eyes.

He loves me.

"Tiana... w-will you be my girlfriend?" he said, holding my hands as Liam handed him a box with a beautiful paper plane necklace in it.

"I-I don't know what to say..." I said as I stared into Marcel's beautiful emerald green-- nervous eyes.

"Say yes! Yes!" the crowd said as I looked at our families who gave me a thumbs up.

How do I start this?

"What do you call the element of the periodic table that we need in order to breathe and the element that can be found in a banana?" he said, with really nervous eyes as I looked at him with confusion.

"Oxygen and potassium," I said.

"What are its symbols?" he added.

"O-K." I said as the people all laughed and cheered which made Marcel smirk a bit.

"Now, Tiana, for the last time," he said, this time, kneeling down. "Will you please-- with cherries on top-- be my girlfriend?" he added with hopeful eyes as I stared at him with complete silence.

Oh who am I kidding?

"OK, YES!" I said as the crowd went wild as Marcel immediately hugged very tightly on the waist and suddenly lifted me up which made me squeal.

Never knew he's this strong!

"Marcel!!" I shrieked, laughing as the people cheered even louder.

He then put me down and hugged me tightly-- this time, more properly.

"Kiss her!" Fallon shouted as I glared teasingly at her as she stuck her tongue out and laughed.

"Kiss her!!" the crowd cheered as Marcel looked deeply into my eyes.

"May I?" he said as I chuckled and leaned in which made the crowd go wild.

I kissed him as he kissed me back. A very passionate and tender kiss. I then pulled away after 3 seconds since my parents were there but when I turned around to look at them, they seemed glad about it though. I just laughed at it and then turned back to Marcel who wore me the necklace he brought. I then smiled at it and looked deeply into his eyes.

"I love you." I said as he smiled.

"I love you too." he replied with great sincerity in his voice as I smiled and he gave me one last peck on the lips before we head off.

This is the best day ever! My team won the competition, my crush then became my boyfriend and I can finally go home now--!

"Wait," Marcel said holding my wrist "I have a surprise for you."

He then pulled me to the car as our families waved at me while smiling as Marcel drove off.

"Where are we going?" I asked as Marcel, my boyfriend (I'm proud to say that) just smiled at me, showing off his adorable dimples and then took my hand and kissed it.

"You'll see," he said "I love you." and gave me a quick peck on the lips.
