Chapter 25

Marcel's POV

"Okay, how many hours is your flight?" I said through the phone with Fallon, one of the members of the debate team on the other line.

"7 hours. See you, don't forget the bouquet! Remember, she likes white or yellow tulips. I repeat! White or yellow tulips!" Fallon said as I noted it on my what-to-buy-list.

"Okay, okay. Got it! Thanks Fallon," I said.

"Of course! Anything just to make you both official!" she said as I heard some noise slowly getting louder on the phone "Okay, hey, we need to go now okay? See you! Ciao!" she whispered and ended the line.

Okay so today is basically the day when I'll finally confess my feelings for Tiana and ask her to be my girlfriend.

"Honeyy! We better get going now before Tiana's plane arrives!" Mum said from downstairs as I finally finished listing the things to get for the big preparation.

"Coming!" I said and hurried downstairs as we finally got in the car and drove off.

First off, we went to the grocery to buy ingredients for our dinner. Mum insisted that she would cook dinner, but with me still helping though, so she bought the ingredients for garden salad, chicken fillet with caesar dressing and--

"Mooncakes? Really, mum?" I said as mum took ingredients for mooncakes.

"Heyy, I fell inlove with your father because of these!" she defended "Trust me honey, she'll love it." she added, grinning as I shrugged and nodded anyway.

After the grocery shopping with mum, Gemma them picked me up to go to the mall as mum drove off home to start preparing.

"Okay, so what to do you want? Casual? Formal?" Gemma said as we entered a clothing store, walking around me.

"Uhm, semi-formal!" I said as she grinned and pulled me.

"Fabulous!" she said and then threw me a couple of shirts and pants.

In the end, Gemma made me wear a white 3/4s sleeved polo, black skinny jeans and brown boots. I buttoned my polo up but then Gemma shook her head and opened two buttons down.

"Let's leave it like that so you'll make an impression-- if you know what I mean," she said grinning as I made a face which made her laugh.

After 4 hours of preparing, which leaves me 3 more hours to finish, I then went to Tiana's parent's house.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am, Sir," I greeted at the front door as Tiana's parents stood in front of me which made my heart beat faster.

"Good afternoon, son," Mr. Carter said "Something we can help you with?" he added as I cleared my throat.

"Ma'am, Sir, I would like to take this opportunity to ask permission from you for me to court your daughter." I said as they widen their eyes, exchanged looks but then gladly nodded.

"Is there anything else we can help you with?" Mrs. Carter said, smiling as I smirked.

"Well... there is one thing." I said as they grinned and nodded.
