025: NIGHTMARE'S CONFESSION
Su-ryeon pov:
"Thank you so much for helping me plan this party for Dan-tae's birthday."
"Of course, this is nothing. We're neighbors after all. . ."
I smile as fake as possible while Ma-ri flatters the interior.
"I want this birthday to be very memorable for Dan-tae-shii. . ."
The others swoon in adoration as I try to smile as happily as possible.
I try to look for Yoon-hee, but she's getting harder to see these days.
'Did you really betray me, Yoon-hee shii?'
. . .
The party has started for a while now.
Dressed in lavish and luxury, they acted like animals out of their lease.
The men laugh about something irrelevant, and the women chatter endlessly about the most useless things. Seo-jin acted as if she was high and mighty when honestly, she's worse than all other women combined in this room.
"Thank you so much for attending my husband's party. I have a very surprising event for my husband."
I smile as I take the handkerchief out of my pouch.
"We'll be playing a small game. I hope everyone is fine playing it."
"Of course!" They all nodded in excitement.
"Dan-tae shii, is this okay? Do you want to not join?"
He smiled at me as he nodded and said yes.
"The game is very simple. You simply need to find me among us all, blindfolded."
"Ohhhh! That's a fascinating game."
"To make it fair, everyone will be blinded as well."
"But we didn't bring. . ."
"Of course, something else will be prepared for you."
I smile as all of them happily chatter again.
I tied the handkerchief tightly to him and even wore Seo-jin's perfume to match hers so that he wouldn't notice.
"Shall we start, Dan-tae shii?"
He nodded with a smile. I put him in the middle and walked far away from her. I clapped my hand, and everything turned black as all the lights were turned off.
'Now go, to your fated bitch, Joo Dan-tae. . .'
"Ohh! Ohhh! Where am I? Who are you?"
"Honey?"
"Love?"
I waited for them to reach each other, trying to make sure to still see who was who among all of them as I watched them reach each other.
They all make noises.
Seo-jin and Dan-tae finally reached each other.
They kissed and held each other intimately.
I clapped again and let all of them witness their disgusting affair.
"Ohhhh!" Mari covered her mouth as they all witnessed Seo-jin and Dan-tae eating each other's lips.
Yoon-chul immediately pulled them away, gripping his hands tightly.
Lee Gyu-jin smiled playfully as if he already knew everything from the beginning.
"What do the two of you think you're doing?!!"
He glares at the two of them.
"Dan-tae shii?"
"I'm sorry, wife. I thought she was you. I didn't know. You smelt similar so. . ."
"I'm sorry, hon, I thought he was you. . ."
The two make the same excuses.
"It's okay. This was my fault. I'm really sorry about this."
I pretended to tear up when the screen suddenly popped something out.
The two of them kissing each other in the cinema and even a video of their rendezvous in a private cabin.
"What's the meaning of this?"
I glare at the two of them. . .
"Honey, this is. . . ."
I slapped Dan-tae hard, crying and glaring at the same time.
"What is the meaning of this, Dan-tae shii?"
Yoon-chul immediately punched Dan-tae, and the two of them started to brawl.
"How dare you!!!"
"You sick bastard!!!"
The two exchange fists and curses as the others only look at them as if they're watching a film.
Lee Gyu-jin laughs at the two who rolled around, punching each other while Mari and Seo-jin tried to stop the two.
I covered my face, pretending to cry while glaring at the floor angrily.
. . .
After punching each other to their heart's content, Yoon-chul stands on the farthest, glaring at Dan-tae and Seo-jin, who is trying to hold her husband, but Yoon-chul keeps pushing her away.
"Get off! You're disgusting!"
Seo-jin glares at her husband, trying to control her anger, while the others zip their mouth, trying hard not to laugh at her embarrassing downfall.
"How dare the two of you to play with us!!!"
"Yeobo! This is all a misunderstanding! This is. . . ."
I pushed his hands away from me while glaring at him with my red eyes.
"If you really are not happy with me at all, let's just end this!"
All of them turned to me. Dan-tae looked at me, shocked, while Seo-jin was clearly trying to contain her smug smile.
'Are you that happy? To have him for yourself?'
'You will soon realize how much of a trash this person you picked is. . .'
"Yeobo. . ."
I stood up proud, not sparing him a glance before looking down on him and saying: "I want a divorce!"
While everyone was quiet, I exited and walked fast to leave these dirty people. When the elevator finally closed, I closed my eyes in relief and breathed deeply.
When I reached the basement, Logan stood in front of the car, waiting for me. He smiled when he saw me, and everything seemed so relieving all of a sudden.
"Are you done?"
I nodded.
"Let's go. . ."
. . .
Logan pov:
She seemed really tired after making that confession.
She leaned backward and slept through the entire ride. I ordered the driver to drive slowly and carefully so she wouldn't wake up.
"Sleep well, Su-ryeon shii. . ."
Whenever I look at her, I remember Seol-ah.
It's probably because they are mother and child. They really look like each other, which is perhaps why I feel protective of her.
'I will protect her for you, Seol-ah. . .'
When the two of us arrived at the hotel, I asked the driver to leave us in the car. I waited for her to wake up.
'Seol-ah, your mother didn't abandon you, so I'm sure you would want me to take care of her, right?'
I smiled at the thoughts.
'Even if she did, you would probably ask me to take care of her either way.'
. . .
Su-ryeon pov:
I woke up in the middle of the bed.
I could feel the air conditioner's coldness and the sheets' softness, but I still felt warm and safe.
When I came out to the living room, Logan was on the sofa, typing something on his laptop.
I don't think he noticed me yet. He's very focused on his work. I walked as quietly as possible to the kitchen.
"I ordered some breakfast. It's on the table, so you can reheat it if you want."
I turned around and saw him smiling at me.
"Good morning. . ." I smile at his greeting and greet him back as well.
"Good morning too. . ."
. . .
After breakfast, the two of us talked about how to get a confession to the children.
"I'll deal with the kids."
"Eun-bi is not here, so I don't think we can threaten Seo-jin and Yoon-chul."
"We can just make it look like we kidnapped her," Logan said, preparing a voice record of Eun-bi.
"I guess it's good that Eun-bi isn't here. She would definitely disagree with our plans."
I nodded at him while thinking of Seok-hoon and Seok-kyung.
"I'm also feeling guilty about the kids."
"Su-ryeon shii. . . you know that avenging your daughter will make them hate you. There is no way that they will forgive you if they found out that you did this to them as well, right?"
"I know that too. . . I'm just. . ."
"Are you hesitating? Do you want to stop?"
I looked at his worried look and shook my head.
"No, we'll proceed as planned."
. . .
Seok-hoon pov:
I barged into dad's study when I heard about what happened to their party.
"Are you going to divorce mom?"
"Where did you hear that?"
"Are you marrying Cheon Seo-jin?"
"That is none of your business. . ."
"I don't care about your dirty businesses anymore, but not Cheon Seo-jin."
"What are you talking about?"
I left the office mad.
I won't let him marry Cheon Seo-jin. . .
"JOO SEOK-HOON!"
I locked my room seething in anger.
'I won't let him take Eun-bi away from me. . .'
. . .
Seo-jin pov:
I dressed up in an all-red fitted dress to impress Dan-tae, especially now that Su-ryeon is planning a divorce.
I smiled happily at the thought that she would finally disappear from my life forever.
I put on my favorite perfume and smiled at my brilliance in the mirror.
"You must be meeting him. . ."
My husband smirked at me while he leaned in the doorway.
"You should take it easy, or are you going to openly date him now that the cat is out of the bag."
"What do you care? I told you, right? Don't antagonize me and just wait for the divorce procedure." I walked past him, irritated.
He held my arms tightly, preventing me from leaving.
"I am taking my daughter with me, don't even think of trying to do anything because if you do, I will take this dirty affair of yours to the public."
"Let's see what your father will do to you then!"
Slap.
I slapped him hard and pushed him hard on the wall.
"How dare you threaten me! Who said you can take my child! I will not let you take any of my children!!!"
I walked away angrily, immediately calling Dan-tae, wanting to vent my anger.
"Why aren't you answering, Joo Dan-tae!!"
"Are you on your way to my husband?"
I turned around the corner and saw Su-ryeon standing there with a blank expression on her face.
"What are you doing on my floor?"
"I wanted to ask you something, but I guess it's no longer important."
"I'm busy, so I'll be going first. . ."
"You shouldn't trust my husband so much, Cheon Seo-jin!"
"Look, Shim Su-ryeon shii. . ."
"I mean, if he can't be satisfied with me, don't ever think you will be able to satisfy him."
I smirked at her and posed proudly.
"Don't even dare compare me to you, Shim Su-ryeon!"
"Do you know that Oh Yoon-hee is working for Joo Dan-tae now as his personal assistant?"
My eyes widened at that news, and I openly glared at her.
"Oh! I guess you don't know yet!"
"See. . . I told you not to trust him so much. . . ." She left me smiling as I trembled in anger.
"OH. YOON. HEE!!"
. . . . . . . . . .
Seok-kyung pov:
Dad called us to his study.
I turned away, not meeting his eyes when he looked at us.
"You don't have to worry about anything. Just because we're divorcing doesn't mean anything will change."
"Why did you call us?"
Seok-hoon openly glared at dad as I kept on looking away.
"Here. . ."
We both received a small envelope, and when we opened it, it was a photo of a ballerina with the time and date printed on it.
"She's a friend of my business partner. She agreed to meet up with you and have you perform for her. . . ."
He smiled at us as he explained how big of an opportunity this was for us.
I turned to him and said, "We better prepare for it now then. To make a lasting impression."
I took Seok-hoon's hand and pulled him away from dad and the possibility of him punching him.
. . . . . . . . .
"AHHHH!"
I shouted loudly while my brother kept on glaring at the wall.
"We can't let him marry Seo-jin. . ."
"Of course, we can't! The moment they do, he's going to torture Eun-byeol too. . ."
"I won't let that happen, ever!"
Their union can never happen.
I don't care if we lose all our money, but I will never let him anywhere near Eun-byeol.
"What should we do next?"
From now on, we won't let adults control us ever again.
We will protect each other.
. . . . . . . . .
Seo-jun pov:
I've been on a stake-out for days. Eun-bi told me to follow Dan-tae daily. Take notes of all the places he goes to and why he went there in the first place.
Thanks to that, I've witnessed all his dirty affairs and the women he sleeps with.
'He's not a person. He's a disgusting pig!'
Even with such a beautiful wife, he cheats on her and sleeps with different women.
His most disgusting one is sleeping with both Cheon Seo-jin and Oh Yoon-hee. He truly is a despicable bastard.
"Yes, I've already sent you everything. You said he definitely will be doing something again, but unless you call his disgusting sexual appetite with different women dangerous, I don't think I can watch anymore."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! Okay! I'll continue to keep watch."
"Come home already! Seok-kyung is going out of control."
"Fine! Fine! But you better be right with this."
After speaking with her, I turned my phone off and prepared my mask and cap as I headed inside the bar Dan-tae just went in on.
. . . . . . . . .
Seok-hoon pov:
Jenny squealed in excitement, knowing she would meet the famous ballerina, Grace Joe.
I only sighed and stared at my phone.
"She will not magically appear even if you stare at the phone all day."
Min-hyuk whispers as he continues to kill the zombie in his game.
"Then why don't you help me contact her. I'm sure you've talked already."
"We didn't."
I gave him a disbelief look, but he didn't even spare a glance.
"We really don't have communications. Just give her time. She's definitely going to come back."
"She's been gone for a month already."
"Good thing she's the school director's daughter, isn't she?"
I only shook my head in disbelief and just looked at our photos.
'Come back. I miss you already.'
"Don't you think she's taking too much time?"
Seok-kyung stood impatiently and started pacing back and forth.
"Why are you in a hurry? She's New York's prima ballerina, you know!"
I scoffed at Jenny's statement.
'My girlfriend is a thousand times better in ballet!'
. . . . . . . . .
Adult pov:
While the children enjoy their meet with Grace Joe, the adults head somewhere else for entertainment.
They all enjoyed their trip in the limousine with delicious wine, but all of them suddenly felt sleepy just after one sip.
Mari first woke up disoriented and found herself with the others inside a bus.
She panicked and tried to find an exit, but the entire bus had barred all over it.
"Ahh!! Mr. Joo, Ms. Cheon, Mr. Ha!"
She started waking them up, still nervous about their current situation.
"What. . . ."
"What is going on?"
"Where. . ."
"Where are we?"
They all panicked at their current state. Surveying themselves and looked around, trying to find a way out.
"Where are we?"
"I don't know either!"
"How did. . ."
Joo Dan-tae remembered the wine they drank and cursed angrily.
"What's happening?"
Suddenly, something liquid sprinkled above the bus, wetting all the adults.
"Ahhh!!! What is this?"
"Yah!! Stop already!!"
"Who are you!! Why are you doing this to me!!"
They all screamed, panicking and distressed.
"What is this? . . . .
Gasoline?"
"What the. . . . !!"
They all heard something ticking and saw a bomb near the driver's seat.
"A bomb!!!"
"AHH!!"
They panicked even more and tried banging the window glass, but every direction was barred.
Suddenly fire started from the outside, and it immediately went to their bus, covering them with fire all around.
"Ahhhhhh!!!" They all screamed in unison.
Fearing the fire surrounding them.
Joo dan-tae was the first to see a hooded person in front of them.
"WHAT THE. . . . WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!"
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!!! LET US OUT NOW!!" Ha Yoon-chul shouted at the hooded person.
"Didn't your children do this as well?"
"So your children should also pay for doing this to an innocent child!!"
. . . . . . . . . . .
Children pov:
"Eomma!!!"
"Eomma!!"
"Appa!!!"
"Eomma!!"
"YAH!!! Who the hell do you think you are!!"
"Why are you doing this to us!!"
"If you don't start writing down every sin you made to Min Seol-ah, your parents are going to die there, is that okay?"
"Eomma!!!"
"Eomma!!!"
They kept crying and begging on the floor while watching their parents get surrounded by fire.
Seok-kyung watched the fire in silence. The trauma of the night returned to her like a plague.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" She clutches her head in pain as the memory of the past bursts into her mind.
"Seok-kyung ahhh!!!"
Seok-hoon hugged his twin, comforting his sister as she trembled in fear.
. . . . . . . . .
Seo-jin pov:
Su-ryeon madly points a gun at us.
But she has nothing on me.
My children are safe, away from the country.
"Go!! Even if I die now, I regret nothing!"
I faced her just as proudly and angrily.
"I protected my child. Any mothers that will do that for their child!!"
She smirked in my direction, and suddenly a voice echoed around.
"Eomma!!!"
"Eomma!!! Help me!!"
"Eomma!!"
I tremble at the sound of the voice.
"Eun-byeol-ahh. . ."
I circled around, looking for the location of the sound.
"Did you honestly think your daughter would be safe from me?"
"After what you all did to my daughter, all your children will pay as payment for my poor daughter!!"
Joo dan-tae punched the mirror that faced her as I trembled in anger and fear for my baby.
"Not my daughter! Please note my daughter!!" The voice of my husband pleading for my daughter calmed me down.
"Yoon-chul ahh. . ."
I held onto him as he held me too, helping me up as my daughter's voice echoed in my mind repeatedly.
"If you really want to save your children!! Go! Go and crawl to them!!"
. . . . . . . .
Seok-kyung pov:
We all watched our parents crawl in the rain, mud, and darkness as we all wrote our sins to Seol-ah in a hurry.
Jenny cried while writing down everything she did to Min Seol-ah while Min-hyuk bit his lips while watching his parents in the mud.
"Eomma!!!"
My brother writes down everything for us.
"You need to do your part, Seok-kyung, or do you only want half of your parent's bodies to arrive here!!"
I glare at the voice as I write down everything as well.
"I will never forgive you, Gu Ho-dong!!"
"That's not something for you to do, Joo Seok-kyung!!"
I bit my lips, preventing myself from crying while I wrote down everything.
After we all wrote it down, the video stopped playing. A man took the papers from us.
"Where are our parents!!! WHERE ARE THEY!!!"
I screamed at him, but he only smirked and left like that.
"GU HO-DONG!!!!"
Moments later, the door suddenly burst out open.
A heavily breathing girl appeared in front of us. She looked down from above with a very concerned look.
She ran down to us and looked at all of us. She heads over to me immediately, holding me up as I almost fall to the ground.
"Eun-byeol . . ."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
