"Hey mom, I am leaving now" Billy screamed from the front door.

He walked out with Bella, she sat next to him as he rubber banded the newspapers. Then he put them in the bicycle basket and jumped on. The bike got off to a slow start, but when Billy hit the road he picked up speed, throwing newspapers here and there. Bella happily followed him wagging her tail. 

Some of the neighbours was already outside waiting for their morning papers because they knew Billy would have them. Some of them were old ladies and kind of nice. They smiled at him and one lady told him he did a good job and wouldn't know what do to without him. That actually made Billy smiled, which he didn't do often. He had a few friends but liked to most be home with Bella. 

As Billy turned onto the next street he saw a black van approaching out of the corner of his eye. The van pulled up next to him and the window rolled down. A man's face appeared in front of Billy. 

"Hey kid, you're the paperboy right?" he said

"Yeah" Billy said and was a little nervous. 

The man jumped out of the car and went towards the tailgate.

"Come" he said and looked at Billy.

At first he hesitated but then Billy went towards the man, which he shouldn't have done. 

The man grabbed Billy and threw him into the van and then closed the door. Bella just sat there watching him, the man walked over to Billy's bike and put it down on the ground. The dog sat on the side of the bike and watched as the man drove off with Billy.
