Dick is on summer vacation, forgot to tell you sorry-----------------------------------------------Wayne Manor Danny's POV

two days since the the night terror

I was in the library reading a history book, when Dick came in. Since I had my night terror Dick has been with me all the time, but I don't really mind. he had to go to the mountain for unknown reason, obviously he didn't tell me he was going their but I knew he was. 'He said he went to do his job' when he went to the mountain.

I put my book down and Dick sat next to me, we didn't say anything, I look him over, he is wearing a blue zip up jacket, with jeans and black tekkies, I saw Dick trying to hide a bruise on his wrist and I went all protective brother mode

"Dick what happened!?", I shouted grabbing his arm, I pulled the sleeve up and found more bruises "Dick who did this?!", I ask with full concern and anger, I know he went on a mission and it was probably a bad guy but I WILL HUNT THEM DOWN! NO ONE HURTS MY BADY BROTHER!

Dick pulls his hands back "I-it's nothing really",He says nervously, I glare at him "Dick if someone is hurting you tell me I can help", I say calmly, 'yea I can help like beat the ass who did this!' Dick shakes his head "no no really I'm OK doesn't even hurt", he knocked his wrist on the table and winced "that's it come on", I grab his good arm and lead him to the kitchen "wait D-danny I'm fine really!", Dick stumbles,

"You are clearly not!", We step into the kitchen 'Alfred's not here, good' I sit Dick down on a chair "don't move ", I go into the freezer and take out a ice pack and walk back to Dick "keep this on for 20 minutes, take it for for another 20 minutes and continue the process", Dick nods and takes the ice pack. he puts it on, and hisses when he did, "you don't have to tell me who did it but please talk to me and be more carfull", I say sincerely, Dick nodded, I sighed "you seem to know how to look after a bruise", as soon as Dick said that he immediately regret it, I laughed "don't worry, before I got captured I knew how to do firsts aid", I reassure him, he laughs nervously,

Alfred then walks in and looks at Dicks arm "Master Dick are you alright", He asks with consern, "yea I'm alright Alfred, don't worry", Alfred looked at Dick then at me, "I'm glad we have another medical person in the house", Alfred smiled at me, "wait you know first aid?",I ask, he nods "I must be able too", He was very vague, I nodded "I shall inform Master Bruce", Alfred walks out, "aww man he's going to lecture me tonight", Dick complains, I chuckle "it's not funny his lectures are always long and boring and I heard it before", I hug Dick and looked at him "just be careful alright", He nods and smiles,

Me and Dick spent the day together. We just talked for the most part but we did play some games in his room.It was now Dinner and Bruce looked over at us, he gave a small smile. Dick looks down and holds his bruised arm, at some point Bruce called Dick to his office and lectured him, I didn't listen in didn't have too.

We sit down for dinner, "on today's meun is steak, mash potatoes with some salad, and any drink you want",I announced, Dick laughed,Bruce cruckled, Alfred rolled his eyes. I looked over to Dick, extreme sadness is raditaing off him 'did I do something wrong' I put my hand on his shoulder and he calms down, I sigh in relief and continued to eat. Bruce then cleared his throat to get our attention.

"I am hosting a charity event tomarrow night and you two well have to be their", He says,

"Wait, you think it's a good idea I mean-",Bruce cut him off,

"well won't say anything about the adoption of Danny",

Dick nodded, I just shrugged 'I can handle a crowd of people'

"you think you can handle it Danny?",Bruce asks, again I shrugged, "won't know until we try",I say

Bruce nods. After Dinner Bruce pulled Dick to talk "Dick I want you to stay with Danny the whole time, we don't know until the people who are hunting him well come alright", Dick nods,

I then left for my room. I get comfortable on my bed and continue reading.Dick went somewhere some time at 8. I was reading for while then Dick sneaked past my door, it was now midnight 'man time pasted quickly' I put the book down and jumped off my bed.

I open the window and clime to the roof. I lie down and stargaze. because of all the pollution you can't see as many stars as you should but it's fine. After a few minutes I started to hum a lullaby, I remember someone would sing it to me when I had nightmars or couldn't sleep well, but I don't know who, I only know the beat not the lyrics.

It was now morning and the sun rise was beautiful, I then hear my name being called, Dick is wake.I climb back down from the roof and jump back into my room, Dick jumped in surprise "where were you?!",He asks/yells, I looked at the time, it's 6 'WOW! It didn't even feel that long!' I look at Dick, "I woke up early and went to watch the sun rise", I simply said, Dick sighs "alright anyway came on breakfast is nearly ready", He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the dining room.

Bruce is siting their already with his news paper. I know Bruce is batman and he is waiting for the right moment to get answers out of me but he well only get half lies or just lies in general.We sit down and wait for breakfast,

"Danny can I ask you something?",Bruce puts his news paper down, I nod"Do you know who is hunting you? or why?",He asks, Dick looked at me concerned but he wants answers too,I froze thinking about them, I start to shake not of fear but of anger Dick grabs my arm, I calm down "yes...I know who is after me...",I say softly, "but I can't tell you", Bruce looks confused "Danny if you tell me, we can find these people and stop them", I shake angrly not at Bruce, I remember their faces, their lifeless body's, blood, blood everwhere, My vision gets blurry 'I'm crying, pathetic'  I look at my hands, blood covers them, I can't breath right. "I couldn't protect them! I couldn't do anything!", I shout, "Danny!", I look up and see Dick, I calm down,everything around me falls "I-I'm s-s-sorry I d-didn-", I'm still crying, I'm freaking out."No no it's my fault!",Bruce says, he is by my side with his arm on my shoulder, Dick is holding my hand for comfort and it is helping "I'm sorry I should've not asked", Bruce said, I shake my head "no you were just trying to help me...", 'you shouldn't' I add mentally, Bruce nods and Alfred walks in with our breakfast, it was very quit.

~Later~

After the hole breakfast thing, I went to work out, now that I have some meat in my body I can finally train. Right now I am in the private gym, that Dick normally is in, I think he use to work in a circus, there is a lot of gymnastics equipment in here. I on the other hand went right to the punching bag.

I destroyed the bag when I was done. That was how I spent my morning, I am know in the library reading about birds, I was on the page about Robin's, when Dick walks in 'how ironic'. "hey Dick", I say, a smile creeping on my face, "hey Danny...", I feel my protective mode activate. I put the book down and look at Dick, he is looking down holding his arm, I feel guilt and nervous jumping off him, I stand and hug him. he was surprised but hugged back.

"I'm sorry...",Dick's voice was soft but cracked, "what for?", I ask, my voice calm and quiet,"for this morning, we brought back bad memories for you...",He said, I embrace him "don't worry about it, I'm over it already", I said, he looked up at me and nodded,

"Come, Bruce told me to show how to act tonight", Dick said, his sad mood disappearing, 'AGH! tonight I totally forgot' I smiled at him and we sat down, Dick then told me to mostly be polite and smile a lot, he seemed annoyed about that but continued. When we were done it was time to get ready.

I went to my room and found a black tux and a forest green tie. I got dressed and looked for Dick he was in the same tux as me but he had a blue tie on his hair was pushed back , Bruce had his normal tux on just a clean one, "Did any of you two know what happened in the gym's punting bag?",Bruce asked, I stiffened "uh... I was training and punched too hard...?", Bruce lifted a eyebrow, "sorry... I have super strength", Bruce nodded, "it's alright but try and control it alright", I nodded, He then walked down the stairs and greeted the guests.

Me and Dick went down to, some people whispered about me but I ignored them.

~later in the evening~

I was by the duffay table, eating some delicious mini sausages Dick was next to me "that's like your 10th sausage?!", Dick said, I looked at him "but is so good", I said, and laughed Dick just face-palms.

A women walked up to us, she had long black hair and a dark purple evening dress. "hello kittens", she called us?! "hello Selina", Dick happly says, I shly wave and respond with a simple "hi" "boring evening isn't it?",she says, I nod "yup, I would of stayed in my room but, Bruce says I have to come for the 'experience'", Dick used the quotation motion when he said experience, I chuckled, Selina looks at me, "and who is your friend Dick?",she asks, Dick looked over to me "This is Danny, Bruce said it was ok for me to invite a friend for this boring event", wow Dick is good at lieing, well he is Robin, he probably lies every day. Selina nods "Selina Kyle nice to meet you",she smiled sweetly, she seems to have two life's, her eyes are observing me, taking every detail, I can tell she's been in a fight before, "like wise", I respond,

Bruce then walks over and smiles "Selina it's good to see you again", Selina turns and smiles at Bruce, "Bruce!",She hugs him lovingly, "why don't we catch up",Selina cooed. They then walked away after saying goodbye.I shrugged and continued to munch on the delicious mini sausages, suddenly the ground began to tremble and a explosion happened behind me. a door flew passed me, I ducked and looked who crashed the party. People screamed and panicked. I saw Dick itching to the side, I looked over to Bruce he was very close to running to hide and change but... A matalic laugh stopped everyone dead in their tracks, I thought I heard Dick growl.

(A/N just to let you know this part might be every bad, this is the first time I'm writing with Joker and my insane talk might be off)Comming out of the cloud of dust was a clown with the most sicking smile, he had a purple suit and lime green hair 'yea their go's my childhood' I thought to myself. Next to him was a woman she was dressed like a jester in black and red, and a bunch of men in clown outfits at least about ten or so of them.

"Wow Looked At this! poo, Theirs a partly and we weren't invited!", The clown laughed, the jester girl laughed along "hey mister J we should give them a show!", she laughed, I shrugged and went back to eating,"alright! let's have everyone smile, it's a party!", He paused, and nodded to his clown gang and they went around holding bags, "Its My darlings birthday today, sooooo", he exdende the so", put all our lovely jewels it  the bag, lady's", He laughed insanely again,

People began to throw their jewelry and money in the bags, I looked over to Bruce, he seemed to be stuck, two of J's men are standing too closely to him, Dick is about to duck under the table when Mister J comes to us (I heard the juster girl call him mister J so I well call him that for now) "Hey, it's the Wayne kid!", J says cheerfully, Dick steps back, and growls at him. J then sees me and walks over "enjoying the food!", He grabs the sausage I was holding "yea I guess, who are you?", I say in a boring tone some people gasp, "the names Joker, and you need manners", the Joker says, he pulls out a weird gun and points it at me, I am not phazed by in, I have been shot before. Dick on the other hand looks terrified.

Joker laughs and pulls the trigger, I was expecting a dulet not green gas, it smelld discussing and it tickled my throat, making me cough but other than that I was ok. Now lots of people gasp, Dick looked confused.Joker as well looked confused "why did it not work?!",He asked no one, I was confused, what was that? Was it meant to kill me? "you are really lucky my boy, my laughing gas works on everyone but you", Joker says, there is a evil sparkle in his eyes "so why don't we have a chat at my home huh, can't have one person immune to my gas!?",He suggests loudly, I wince "yea no I'm good", I looked at Dick again, he is out of his daze and is staring daggers at Joker. Joker looks were I'm looking "why do you keep looking-",He stops and sees Dick and a sick smirk is plastered on his face.

He moved so quickly I only saw a purple ands green blur. Joker was now holding the gun at Dick's face, but it's not the gas gun it was a normal gun, I cursed under my breath I could smell the gun powered from were I was. I took  a fighting stance, Joker laughed "so he is important to you", He chuckled, 'I have to do something, some protective big brother I am' I sighed "I well kill you last", He smiles,  'think, think, think!',

I was so angry and terrified, The Joker wants to kill me, just because the laughing gas doesn't work on me, but for some reason the gun is pointing to Dicks head! Dick looks like he is thinking.I then purks up, and slaps myself "DUCK!", I yells as loud as I can, dick looks confused but duks anyway, a bunch of people did the same thing

Third POV

Danny's eyes glow a dangerous toxic green, he ducks to and the snack table that was behind him flots and is thrown too the Joker, food is thrown everywhere in mid air Danny catches a mini sausage and eats it whole. Bruce takes the opportunity and disappears to go batman. Danny grabs Dicks wrist and runs away from the clown.

Joker gets the table off him and has food and punch all over him and he is very angry  "Kills Them!", He screams, Danny then runs faster, dodging and avoiding the clown henchmen and gun shots. They run into a dead end. Danny was about to turn and ran away again but gets blocked by four clowns. Danny stands protectively infornt of Dick 'I know Dick can beat these guys easy but I don't want him to get hurt, what big brother would I be then?' Danny thought.

Just as they were about to launch on Danny and Dick, Batman jumps out and kicks all four of them away, "get to safety", He says monotonous, Danny nods and runs to the exit with everone else, having Dick trail behind. They were so close to the hole in the wall when Danny was pulled back by his neck. He falls to see Harly Quinn staring at him "you ruined my special day! ", She yells, "So sorry, how about we reschedule, for another night", Danny says sarcastically, Harly shouts angerly, and takes her bat. Danny's eyes glow green again and Harly is thrown off him. Danny gets up and runs outside with Dick.

Now everyone is outside and Joker and his gang are going back to Arkham Asylum. "So, that was fun", Danny says cheerfully, Dick looks at him like he's crazy"you almost die, like the whole time!", Dick yells throwing his arms around, "but I didn't, besides, I had to protect you", Danny says sofly smiling happily at Dick. Dick was about comment back but stop himself, he looked down you could say he was embarrassed "t-thanks...",Dick said sofly, Danny chuckled "no problem",

The Batman was talking to commissioner Gordon, "so how's the kid coping?",Gordon asks, "better then I thought, but is still traumatized, but he is better, Bruce said that he tryed to ask him who is after him but he freaked out", Batman informs, Gordon nods "we well just have to keep digging, thanks Batman", Gordon turns and sees he already gone. Gordon sighs and walks to Dick and Danny.

"hey you two alright?",Gordon asks kindly, Danny nods, Dick nods as well, "alright do either of you know we're Bruce is?", Dick was going to answer but Danny speaks "he disappeared when the table was thrown on the Joker", Gordon nods "how about the two of you get warm we well find Bruce", both Wayne brothers nod and walk to Alfred who was their the whole time. Bruce then appears and go's straight to Dick and Danny.

He kneels to be at their eye level"Are you two alright", He asks concerned, "yeah, we are ok, Danny made sure that", Dick says sheepishly, Bruce notices "he did?", Dick nods "yea he kept me safe", Dick says still embarrassed, Bruce smiles "I'm glad, both of you are safe", He hugs them both.Danny was a bit taken back by the sudden embrace of the man but hugged him back anyway same with Dick.

---------------------Danny's POV

After the guest and police left I was exhausted, all I wanted to do was sleep but I knew I would not be sleeping tonight even if I tryed. Bruce and Alfred told both me and Dick to go to sleep but are we really after being attack by a clown that wanted to kill us? anyway I was in my room just staring at the walls. I have been with Dick and Bruce for a mouth you would think the GIW would come get after me by now but they haven't, maybe they don't know we're I am or they are waiting until I'm alone, I have been in the manor the hole time I am here, I have been outside but only in the gardens, their is a forest close by tho.

~Next morning~

I 'wake up' and see its 7 am, I walk down to get breakfast. I walk into the dinning room to see Dick AND Bruce. Bruce is normally in the bat-cave or doing work not really having Breakfast or dinner with us,"It's a miracle! Bruce Wayne is eating Breakfast with us! instead of his work!",I says sarcastically , Dick giggles, Alfred was doing his best to hide that he laughed by coughing, Bruce looks unamused but smiles anyway "yes I have left work to eat breakfast with the two of you",He responds, I chuckle "yea it's going to raining cats and dogs today", and with that I sat down, and saveard my breakfast which is bacon, eggs and toast a normal breakfast (wow I said breakfast 🍳 a lot).

We ate in silence, when we were done Bruce wanted to ask me something and Dick had to go to his 'Job' so he had to leave early. "Danny, you will be going to school soon, so I have set up for someone to tutor you to catch up on the work you have missed", I was shocked, I totally forgot about school!, "uh yea -yeah that fine", Bruce nodded "he will be here soon-",soon as he said it Alfred walked in "Master Bruce, Mr Cox is here", He stated, "than you Alfred, tell him to come in", Bruce said Alfred nods and leaves, Bruce then leads me to the front door and I see a man, he's not old but not young either he is wearing mostly brown clothes, he looks like a old time teacher or something.

"Hello Mr Cox, thank you for coming", Bruce and he hand shake, "it a pleasure Mr Wayne, I can't wait to get started with Young Daniel",He says, "of course you can go to the private library and begin their", Bruce offers,"come on Danny, I have work to do, but I will see you and your brother for dinner", Bruce says pushing me to the library, "yes Bruce", I say and lead Mr Cox to the library,

And then for most of the day, I spent in catching up work, but knew most of it anyway, I even corrected Mr Cox if he made a mistake which was funny, by the time is was dinner I was done with all the work I missed, I just had to finish some homework and I'm done. I overheard Mr Cox talking with Bruce saying I'm a genius and that I should take a IQ test, Bruce said yes. So tomarrow I'm going to take it and see how smart I am.

When Dick got home, he was surprised that I finished a whole 4 years worth of school work, I haven't told them I was with the GIW for 6 years or most of my powers but I will at some point. Only Batman know I am Halfa which he doesn't believe of course.

~morning~ (This part is connected to the episode Failsafe, just its a bit more of my version)

As soon as I 'woke up' I went through my bathroom routine, had breakfast and took the IQ test, I'm going to get the results in a few days. I was know reading about programming and hacking, and it was actually Dick's, he left all sorts of notes and tips in here and it was most helpful for me to understand it with it. I was reading it for like 5 hours when I decided to put my hacking skills to the test, I have learned how to hack stuff before but it was normally to annoy Technus- no no stop right their.

I got up and went to the computer in the library and yes, it has a few, it like a public library but not.I then began to hack into the Batcave, using what I know from Technus and from the book.After a few minutes I got in, it was hard but lucky me I'm a fast learner. The first thing I did was see what Batman had on me, and it wasn't much only what I have told them. I was very careful for them not to get my blood.

What they have on me is my appearance, abilities that they have seen and what I have told them, which is:Super speed, super strength, enhance healing, telekinesis and they say I might have agility and durability, their not wrong but it is a guess. After seeing what they know about me I did some research on, the villains. I read through the whole file on mostly all the villain in Gotham, I even found out their is a Ghost, I would like to meet him. After learning all I can on the villain I read a file on the heros, to my surprise he had a small file on Phantom wow, but their wasn't much.

I then started read about the justice league, he has a plane to take down all of them! it was most satisfying. I read about their abilitys, weakness, and who they really are, secret identitys. Batman has his and the another protégés in a 'Team' as he calls them, I read about them and found Wally, he knows Bruce is Batman? Dick and Wally must then be really good friends. I was about to continue when someone walked in, I quickly closed the info and opened Google maps, I looked at the time to see I was reading for 6 hours 'wow' it was about 7 pm know.

I turn to see Bruce walk in. He smiled at me and went to get a book, I then got off my chair and stretch. Suddenly the front door opened (enhanced hearing) I then picked up the programming book shut down the computer and went to greet Dick 'I was getting a little boring without him.

I walked into the main entrance, and Dick was by the doors still as soon as I stepped into the room, I was consumed with heartache. Dick was radiating sorrow, regret, grief and so much more, I felt like I was going to cry. I put the book down and a nearby table and embraced Dick in a loving hug. He was surprised by it but hugged back. We stayed like that for a minute and I pulled away and looked at him

"what wrong?",I asked, Dick looked away

"nothing...",his voice was so small and quite he was so sad but he was scared too,

"well something is wrong...",I started, "but I won't ask what happened ", Dick looked up with a small smile, I know this face, he's seen death more than once, "I'm going to call Wally", I said sneakily grabbing Dicks phone,"what why!?",He asked confused, "we are going to cheer you up!",I announced cheerfully,

I sent the message to Wally and he said he would be right over, him being the fastest kid alive means its true.As on cue there is a knock on the door.

"Danny! I'm Fine you don't need to cheer me up!",Dick protests, "What brother would I be if I left you to rot in your room?", I joke, Dick rolls his eyes,

I open the door to see Wally, he seems fine but his emotions are also all over the place but it's most likely the same as Dicks but he is being idenale about it "Hey Danny, Dick called me what's happening?!",He asked cheerfully,"Actually I texted you", I showed him Dicks phone "and why is because we are going to cheer him up!", I threw Dicks phone back to him and he stumbles to catch it."come in",

As soon as Wally came in we went to Dicks room and began to play video game but Dick wasn't into it, Wally kept winning. We played for while until me and  Wally got into a fight saying I'm cheating. Dick laughed at our bickering. It then was lunch, Bruce didn't join us no surprise their. We had sandwiches made by Alfred. When we were done I found out Alfred was making Cookies and Wally couldn't stop talking about how delicious they are even Dick agreed, I then challenged Alfred of who made the best sugar cookies and he accepted with confidence.

We were toe to toe, the judges well be Wally and Dick they were watching while we baked. It was a tie Wally loved both of our sugar cookies, Dick was impressed that mine were on Alfred's level. Alfred then told me I can help him bake or cook when ever I like and I happily agreed.Wally, Dick and I were eating most of the cookies when Wally had a idea to go to the park or arcade and I agreed "I don't know guys", Dick says

"don't worry Dick,, we well be careful",I said, I knew he was worryed because I'm being hunted and all but I want to see what around,

"yea come on Dick, Danny's been stuck in here for a month, and we need some fresh air", Wally adds,

Dick thought for a moment, then relacnly nods "fine alright but not long", Me and Wally nod.

We had Alfred drop us off at the arcade and we spent hours their. it is very diffrent from when I went to a arcade but I didn't really go to ones in any case. Dick and I kept beating Wally, I could tell Dick is feeling better once he stepped in the arcade.

Me and Dick were neck and neck Wally and a crowed cheering us on, it was so exciting.In the End, Dick won and I was happy for him.

We were know walking around the park that was close by. We were just talking hanging out. I told Dick about the programming book I am reading and said the notes and tips helped a lot to understand what was going on in it, Dick seemed embarrassed about it , I told him he didn't have to be. I found out Wally is a science geek and we were talking about astrology with Dick and I got to know Wally a little more.

Our conversation was rudely interrupted by a explosion it was by a near by Bank, three men all in black came out. building pieces flew everywhere. A big chunk of it came flying passed and straight to Dick, with out thinking I stopped it with my telekinesis, well by breaking it into pieces, once that was done, I ran to help others.

Dicks POV

As soon as the explosion happened I looked at Wally and nodded, but before I could do anything, a piece of the building came in my direction, I couldn't doged it time, so I waited for impack but it didn't come. It broke into small pieces and scatter all around me, I looked over to were Danny was standing to see his eyes a toxic green and with out saying anything he ran towards the explosion, like he done this a million times.

Wally was able to to snap me back to reality and I chased after Danny.We found him picking up a piller that was on a girl like it was a feather, Danny then made a makeshift bandage with his jacket, Danny then asked Wally to take her to the paramedics which he did. With out a second thought. Wally was back and we followed Danny to find the robbers conerd but they had a hostage with them, it was a woman.

They were shouting for the cops to lower their weapons and they would let go of her. I knew they were going to kill her anyway. Danny picked up a stone that was from the explosion and threw it with such strength and speed it hit the man knocking him out instantly,

"WOW!  that was so cool Danny but how-..?", Wally asked,Danny shrugged, he looked at me seriously, he walked over and touched my cheek. I flinched away, and saw blood, I touched it and felt it was a scratch, it probably happened when Danny broke the stone.Danny began to shake "h-how did y-you get that scratch?",he asked, why is he stuttering ?, "He got scratched when you broke the stone with your telekinesis, which by the way was amazing!",Wally shouted,Danny stared to shake more violently "Danny....?", "I- I c-could't s-stop it I-I c-could't p-protect you",He stutterd, "Danny calm down, see look, I'm fine, it's just a scratch!", I yelled trying to calm him down keyword: trying.

"B-but you got hurt w-when I c-could h-have helped I-I-I", Danny began to breath heavily,"Danny! calm down, you did protect me!", I panicked, "yeah yeah, you stopped it before it could do even more damage to his face!", Wally joined it seemed it helped, Danny calmed down "yea breath, if you didn't do what you did he would have more then a small scratch", Wally continued, Danny then took a deep breath "yeah your right", I let out a breath that I didn't even know I was holding.

After Danny had his freak out, he insisted that he clean it still saying it was his fault. He did all the precautions of cleaning a cut, even the paramedics told him I was fine. When Alfred picked us up, I had a gauze strapped to my face.

----------------------------------Danny's  POV

When we arrived back at the Manor Bruce gave us a stern taking to, saying we should be more careful and that we are grounded for the rest of the day, Dick and Bruce had private conversation about what happened and Dick didn't say that I had a nearly out of control panic attack, which I was glad for. We went our separate ways. Dick was cheered up and I was happy.
