Danny's POV

A blinding light later, Danny, Robin and Batman found them selfs in a alleyway. Danny looked straight forward and sees a black Limousin and a old man standing by it, he was wearing a suit but not Bruce Wayne kind. The man was looking at Danny, he didn't seem phased by that he just appeared out of no were or that batman was behind him, "Ah, Master Daniel, I am Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's personal Butler",He responded his British accent is very strong, All I did was smirk 'knew it!'. Alfred opened the limo door "let us go", I turned to see Batman and Robin gone 'figures'. I then jump into the car and Alfred closed the door and went to the front and started to drive.

Danny then realized his mouth is still dry. He looked around 'there has to be a mini-fridge somewhere here', Danny spotted one and opened it, inside he found ten bottols of water. he grabbed one and drank it in one gulp 'that feels better' Danny mentally said, 'there is no dustbin here', Danny put the bottle back in the mini-fridge and closed it.

After a little while it felt awkward "soooo, did Bruce Wayne adopt me or am I just staying their for a few days?",Danny asked, Alfred humed in response, he seemed to be a father himself in my opinion "well yes, Master Wayne is planning to adopt you", Danny knew he would but he's eyes still widened at that "but he needs to sigh some papers for your adoption he just needs to have a talk with social services to get you a adoption form",

"The Batman said you didn't have a surname", He said batman in a mocking way that made Danny smile, "yea I don't have one anymore...",Danny had a dark look, Alfred could sense the sorrow, it radiated off him, "I do apologize if I brought up bad memories, Master Daniel", Danny snapped out of his dase "ah no need I'm good", after that conversation they stayed silent.

Danny stared out the window it was night not much out there just, building, pollution, more buildings, pollution, oh and a park with pollution but a park. Danny sighed.

Alfred pulled up the limo in front of a massive mansion. Danny stared at it in awe, Alfred opened the car door for Danny to clime out and he did but continued to stare at the manor.

They walked up the stairs and Alfred opened the door, the huge doors. and standing in the in the middle of the room was Bruce Wayne himself in his suit. He looked up from his paper 'probably pretending to look busy' and looked at me, "Daniel it's good to meet you", He said, Danny nodded their is now a awkward silence "Oh right, it's nice you meet you Mr Wayne and called me Danny", Danny answered politely but in a panic, "please call me Bruce", He waved it off, just then a teen came running down the stairs, he had raven-black hair just like mine and blue eyes, "Danny meet my adopted son Richard Grayson-Wayne, starting today you two are brothers", Bruce said calmly, Richard looked surprised but he had a wide smile on, "call me Dick, and nice to meet you", He put his hand out and I shook it 'tight grip' "yeah back to you", we ended our hand shake "how about I show you to your room",Dick suggested, "good idea", Bruce said with a small smile, "follow me", Dick walked back to the stairs

"this is your room, mines right next to yours and Bruce's is down the hall ", Dick explained, "thanks",I said in a soft voice, "do you want a tour of the house?",He asked, his smile is still stuck with him, he seems to be happy to have me here, suddenly a wave of tiredness washed over me, and I got dizzy I would of fallen if Dick didn't catched me "woah are you ok?!",Dick asked in bit of a panic, "yeah I'm ok, let's do it tomarrow", I muttered, Dick nodded, "yeah your probably tired, do you need help", I shook my head "nah I'm just going to take a shower and sleep", I said, Dick nodded "call if you need anything", He opened the door to my room and I walked in "of course", He smiled and closed the door.

The room way fairly big and plane, a king sized bed, a desk with a bookshelf and a dresser with my own private bathroom. I walked to bathroom, it had a shower, a bath all the necessary items. I took my shower and looked in the mirror.I looked terrible well now the dirt is off better but still terrible, scares were all over my body, my hair is quite long. the GIW did cut it now and then. The burns are all healed that's good I guess. I leave the bathroom to see clothes on the bed, they were Pj's I guess Dick came back when I was in the shower. Putting them on, it was just a long black sleeve shirt with blue flannel pants.

As soon as my head hit the pillow I was out.

I left Danny to go shower, being hunted I guess he is tired. I realize he doesn't have anything to wear, I go into my room and took my Pj's well one's I am not wearing right now and put them on his bed. I hear the shower on, he is humming a soft tune I wonder what song it is? I left his room with out a sound and went to go fing Bruce he was in his study

"Bruce can we talk", he looks up from his work,

"Yes, what is it Dick", He asks,

"I just wanted to ask, if you found out who he is yet or have you figured out what happed to him?", I ask

Bruce looked down "no nothing, Martion is running his blood but nothing yet and as far as I know he is being hunted by those men in white",

"what happed to them?",I ask,

"they were gone as soon as the police arrived",

I pouted at that, "we will have to be on guard, they will fine him", Bruce said sternly,"I will I promised I would protect him", I say with confidence,Bruce grinned "being the protective brother are we?",Bruce teased,I felt my face heat up "w-well yes I-I'm a hero it's what I do",I stutter, 'hmmm",Bruce teases more, "I'm going to my room", and I run out of their, I could hear Bruce laughed a little.

~later that same evening~Danny's Dream

siting alone in my cell , is the only thing I can do. Until the horrible morning comes. Wating for them to drag me away and hurt me! and I can't DO ANYTHING!!!! I wish I was with Clockwork, my family, I even miss Box Ghost heh being immortal has its pros but cons too.Even if your family was killed by the GIW, everone else I know is gone. The GIW has been searching for me for 20 years! that's how rare I am.

My thoughts are interrupted by the two men in white suits come in, I cower in fear and try to get away, they laugh at my fear. I struggle I have been struggling for 6 years, and I am not going to stop now.

They take me to lab, the metal table and scientists are Wating for me. I struggle even harder, one hits me with ectoranium knuckle duster, I heard my jaw crack and red blood spills the floor. I will heal but it hurts I can't move my mouth "stop resisting Ghost-Scum!", He yells in my ear which lead to my ear drums bursting more blood drips on the floor.

They strap me to the metal table I pull on it but nothing. I'm still in my human form, "change", one orders I don't listen, he then pulls out a blood blossom and I stare wide eye at it. even in human form is still hurts like hell. My blood starts to boil, I yell out begging him to stop but he doesny listen, it hurts, I can't do anything I'm useless, "change", He demands and I obey, which I shouldn't have, the pain increases, I scream in agony letting my wail out only for a brief moment, one puts muzzle on and the wail stops, only a silent scream takes its place.

They begin to dissect me, I start to cry, but they only dig deeper, my blood falls, and I pass out. They wake me up with electricity. I cry out. and the next experiment begins.

But the electronic torture is the most painful. I sit in that chair for hours until I pass out. The stinging, burns all of my body, my neck and wrists have blisters and are bleeding of green. I cry,I scream for the pain to go away. I hate being weak but I can't stop it.

I just have to wait for the pain to stop...

-----------------------------------------------Dick's POV

I wake up to a earfull scream, I jump out of bed already knowing who's scream it belongs too.I rush in Danny's room, and he is siting up right, holding his head shaking with his eyes closed, he is still screaming.I run to his side and hug him immediately, he stops screaming and looks at me, tears falling, he whimpers and hugs back "shh, it's ok, I've got you, no one and I mean not one is going to hurt you", I said in soft calming voice, I rubbed his back and stroke his hair, he was crying into my shoulder, he let out a whisper "you promise", his voice was so soft and so broken, "of course, we are brothers now and we protect each other", I wisperd back to him. He stopped crying amd hugged tighter "Thank you", My heart just melted right their, he is older than me but I feel like I'm the older brother, I just hug him.

Danny eventually fell asleep but he didn't let me go, I sigh, then a noise came by the door and I see Bruce and Alfred, Alfred has his phone out, I blush,

"how long have you been standing there?",I ask,"From the beginning, good job calming him down", Bruce complimented, "I can't leave", I said, he laughs but silently "then get comfortable see you in the morning", Bruce then leaves and same with Alfred.I looked down at Danny, he is peacefully sleeping. I move a little, and lie down Danny still holding in me I don't mind though, I sigh I fall asleep.

~Moring~Danny's POV

I wake up feeling warmth, I open my eyes to see a sleeping Richerd, I feel my face heat up 'why is he hear? Why am I clinging to him like my life depend on him?'I then remember what happen last night, he said he would protect me . I sit up and looked at the clock 06:32 its early.Richard begins to stir and sits up as well "morning Danny", He yawns, "morning", I whisper, Dick looks at me and his eyes widen 'guess he realized where he is' he shakes his head "sorry about last night...", I say soflty,Dick looks at me and smiles "don't worry about it", He says, I give a small smile, "you don't have to answer if you don't want too, well I mean I know you are being hunted but uh", Dick says nervously, "but what did you dream about?",He asks, fidgeting with his fingers.

I looked down, "You don't have to answer-!",Dick says quickly, I put my hand up "no maybe if I talk about it I might feel better", I remember Clockwork say talking is the key to everything,

I take a deep breath "I-I was b-back at that-t place", I started, Dick listens closely "I-I w-was in my c-cell and t-they took me t-to a n-new torture r-room and,", I stopped the memory was too pain full, I could feel tears coming "you don't have to continue", Dick says feeling guilty, "no I can", I rub the tears away "They e-electrocuted f-for 5 hours and e-even after that, I was tortured in m-many ways"I blert out, I am crying now, Dick is frozen from shock, he hugs me tight "I'm so sorry you had to go throw that, you didn't desever any of it", Dick says he is crying too, I hug him back, embracing the warmth that I thought I lost.

After a few minutes he lets go "come let's get out of the depression room and allow me to give you a tour", Dick says with a bright smile, My tears immediately disappeared and I smile back.

Dick gave me the grand tour of Wayne manor, since its still early no one is awake yet, I think.We passed Bruce room and heard snoring but Alfred could be awake. Dick showed me a library and I really wanted to just read all day but I wanted to stay with Dick I felt alive around him.We were walking and having a casual conversation about what books we read, and I smelled the most delicious smell in the hole world "BACON!", we shouted similarity, and we laughed and followed the smell. It was in the dinning room Bruce was wake reading the paper with his breakfast in front of him, I looked at the time to see it was 9. Bruce looked up and smiles at us

"good morning", He says, Dick rushes over saying a quick 'good morning' and starts to eat and I do too and my stomach growls so loud. Alfred walked in right on time too, Dick laughs and Bruce gives me a simpathic smile same with Alfred"Hungry Master Daniel", Alfred says smiling, "yea...",I wanted to put a sassy comment but that would bring down the mood, Dick stops laughing and hands me a plate and I dig in.

"I think you shouldn't eat too much your body won't be use to it yet", Alfred said concerned looking at my plate, I had two eggs with toast, two fried sausages and a piece of ham with some pancakes, "nah its ok", I say boy did I regret that! (Really don't break the fourth WALL!) sorry🙏! As soon as I was done with both eggs (that was on the toast) I felt like I was going to throw up, but I continued it was too good not to eat! but as soon as I was done eating half of a pancake I ran to the nearby bathroom, I threw up half my breakfast which I was not happy with!

When I came back after getting the taste out of my mouth, Dick looked concerned "are you alright?",He asked, Bruce has his attention on me and Alfred wasn't in the room, "yea I'm good just ate too much", I reassured him, he sighed in relief, Bruce then got up "We will have to put you on a diet until you get use to eating big portions of food", He said, Alfred walked in "already got that covered Master Bruce", Bruce smiled "alright I'm going to work now, you two behave", He then left,

And for the rest of the day I got to know Dick, me and him got along well. sometimes it was awkward when Dick said something similar to my past but I tryed to ignore it 'I can't change it' I told my self 'it's in the past'.

When it was dinner (I had to eat one piece of delicious steak) me and Dick were good friends or brothers, and Bruce said I was officially adopted by him and I have a surname 'Daniel/Danny Wayne' I don't know why but when he told me that I couldn't stop crying "I have a surname! I have a surname!", I yelled happily, Bruce was scared he said something wrong but he was also curious of what language I was speaking in, Dick calmed me down, but I wasn't panicking I was happy! Haven't felt this way in so long and when it happened I felt a weight lift off my chest "thank you", I said to Bruce and he smiled Not a small one, not a pity one a actual smile! (lady's and gentlemen!)

After my little crying session me and Dick were in the TV room talking "hey what language were you talking in?", I looked at him confused "I mean when you were crying tears of joy",he rephrase, I can't tell him it's ghost language! or can I, NO I don't want to lose what I have here, if he finds out why I'm actually reson I'm being hunted, he might not help me anymore "I was speaking another language!?",I tryed to sound surprised, which I think worked but I don't know "Yes it sounded weird, so you didn't know that you were?", He asked, I nodded I hope he will just drop the question.

He did "alright let's talk about something else",

Its been a mouth and I got along with Dick very well and Alfred, Bruce was always at wotk or batcave, Dick did go at night to patrol and sometimes in the day he would say he had to do something, but I knew he went to Mount Justice, I did a bit of research . So when I was alone in the house, I would talk to Alfred, walk around mindlessly or go and read in the library which I did a lot in, I am nearly done with all the book in there. I am still having nightmares but I'm getting better, but I do have PTSD and it happens a lot, but like I said it's getting better.

Today is a surprise day, Dick brought home a friend. He had gingerly hair, freckles and caual clothes on, he had a big smile too and talk really fast. Dick hit him on the head when that happened.

"Danny I want you to meet Wally West, Wally this is my adopted brother Danny", Dick introduced us, I already knew he was one of his super friend just which one?,I was reading in the library when I heard him come in (enhanced hearing) talking to someone. "hi...",I wave awkwardly, Wally laughed "HI nice to mee you", He shakes my hand, he has a firm grip. He seems to notice that too with me, with me reading in the library I do read and work out to get my strength back but it's more physical therapy but I'm more than in shape now, still bone skinny but not as bad as I was when I first arrived.

We went to Dicks room to play video games but I just watched,I think it is a shooting type game Wally kept losing to Dick I laughed at that"Dick you are cheating!", Wally yelled, Dick just laughed but it almost sounded like a eerie crakel "I'm not Wally", Dick giggled, "you just suck at it",I pitched in, Wally looked at me, Dick is still laughing, "then I would like to see you try!", He yells which was sore but I ignored it, "alright, move up",I sat down and took the controller. Dick smirked and loaded the next map and we began. At first we didn't do much just collected guns and amo then I ran into Dick. After shooting, dodging and yelling later, I killed Dick's avatar, "no way you won against Dick, that's like legendary!" I froze 'why? I didn't when Wally was playing, that right it's a game! no one died' 'really?' 'That vocie!, I began to shake, and breath heavy "No no no he's not here, he's not real!, It's just your mind!", Dick shouted my name but I couldn't hear him his vocie was muffled 'I'm real alright, I live with in you, Danny~', he taunted,

"NO!", went I said that I snapped back to reality and everything around me fell 'was I using telekinesis? by accident?', I run over to Dick and help him up "I'm so sorry I- I just I d-didn't-", Dick hugged me "No I'm sorry I shouldn't have choosed that game to play", I hug him back, "sorry for freaking out...",I mumbled, "I thought I was getting better...", Dick looks at me "you are but it does take time", I smile and hug him, "you are a META!", Wally yells again not helping the eardrums, Dick looked back nervously "yeah he is",Dick says,

I look at the room everything in here lifted up just because I saw a avatar die? I'm so pathetic.

We cleaned up Dicks room and I explained to Wally I was a meta but I didn't say was kind of powers I have, let's just stay with telekinesis. I eavesdropp on a Wally and Dick having a private conversation about me

"why didn't you tell me he was a meta!?", Wally whispered yelled, "because, he didn't really show many sighs he had powers even when he had his nightmares! and I thought he only had super speed!", Dick wisperd yelled that last part, we were in the lounge area and I am hiding in the corner, "wait he has super speed?",Wally questioned, "yea...?",Dick said unsure "when I chased after him he ran quite fast and disappeared", Wally was shocked, "there's another speedster!",He yelled not even whispered, "SHHH! quiet", Dick scolded, wally then sat down ,"why didn't you call me sooner or Barry?",Wally asked angerly, "because after he did that twice he didn't do it again! and we wanted to asked him when he was more stable!", Dick shouts in a whisper, his protectiveness is showing, "alright calm down, don't go all protective brother on me", Wally complained, Dick blushed,

I then came into the room scaring them both I smirked at that, "hey Danny you feeling better?",Dick asks, I nod "yea I'm fine, just need a little break", I reassure him, he nods, "hey Danny, I think it's cool you are a meta so don't be nervous about it,I can keep a secret", Wally smiles, "thanks",

We then talked until Wally had to go home, we said our good byes and went back to the lounge, which is just a sitting area with a bunch of couches and a fire place. "hey Danny what powers do you have exactly?", Dick asks, I thinks about it, he already knows I have super speed and telekinesis, I could tell him I have the same powers of a Ghost or just stay with what he knows but if I don't tell him he could get hurt like if I unleash my wail I nearly did once when I had a really painfull-

"Danny!",Dick waved his hand in front of my face, "huh? Wha",I look at him, "you spaced out their. you ok?",He asks concerned, "yea I'm ok, don't worry and about my powers, I guess I have super, strength,speed ,telekinesis", I listed, I won't tell him of my enhanced senses just yet, "and I think that's it", Dick nodded scepticaly but doesn't question it, "Alright well let's go do something", He then go's to his room and I follow close behind.

I wake up with a jolt, panting heavily 'was I dreaming? no it was a nightmare!' Danny began to hyperventilate, and tears silently fell. A muffled voice was next to him, then everything around me turned white, I look at the person next to me. It was the GIW. Danny pulled away from the man, fear writing all over his face, he fell off the bed

'wait bed?' right I'm not there I'm with Dick, I'm free! but Danny saw the man he was smiling at Danny, he had a tazer in his hands "let's see what will happen if I infuse it with blood blossoms?", He laughed madman like, and tazed Danny. Danny screamed, it hurts, it won't stop. Then warmth seeks its way to Danny, he quickly searches for the comfort warmth, but it disappeared and pain was their in its place.

"Danny, snap out of it you aren't there anymore!", Danny heard it was far and soft, the voice cracked like they were crying. Danny snapped out of his night terror and found Dick hugging Danny, his face was covered in tears, Bruce just came running threw the door with Alfred.

Danny hugged Dick back "I'm ok, I'm sorry for scaring you μικρό πουλάκι (little bird)", Danny embrace Dick and he relaxed, "I should be crying not you", Danny said with a smile, Dick giggled halfhearly "please we will never let anyone hurt you", Dick said still hugging my chest, "same with me, you are my little brother now and we protect each other", Dick then passed out in my arms and I didn't want to let go 'guess my night terror was hard on him'. It was 12ish, Bruce said some comforting word to me and left, Alfred wanted to stay but I told him I was fine and told him to go, so he went to bed.

I picked up Dick and put him down on my bed, he was sleeping so peacefully. I lied down next to him and he clung to me as soon as I did, I smiled, 'I have to be a big brother too him, instead of him to me, he might be Robin, sidekick of The Batman but he's still a kid and I need to protect him.'

This is my new Home. And I will protect it and not fail again.
