twenty-one

caleel and i have not talked since the that night night, it is 3 days later, he has tried to talk to me, but i do not want to

"y/n" asante called out

"yea what's up" i asked running downstairs

"come here" he said pulling me into the bathroom "you need to talk to caleel, the boy is falling apart" he said sighing

"i know, i hate it, but he kissed my bestfreind" i said

"and he kissed my girlfreind" he said "we need to put this all to the side and forget it happened" he said

"i dont want to keep doing that, that's all caleel and i ever do" i said and caleel walked in

"what's going on now?" he asked

"nothing, i was just leaving" i said walking out, only to be pulled back in

"no, i was leaving, and you two are going to talk" he said as he pushed me in and left

...we tried to talk through it, but nothing was working

"caleel, why cant we just get this together? why does is all have to be so complicated" i asked

"because there is just so many emotions going through my head" he replied

"i know, and i'm trying to spare your feelings, but your making this so difficult" i said

"you know what...maybe this relationship is too difficult" he said

"maybe it is" i said

"so, i guess that's it?" he asked

"i guess it is" i said with no expression and he walked out  and y/b/f ran in

"i think we just-" i tried to get out but the tears just fell, and she hugged me

did we really just break up, over some pretty argument, that i could have talked to him about, i am so stupid

i let go over and ran to my room, only to see caleel packing his clothes

"what are you doing?" i asked

"dont talk to me, i dont like you right now" he said shoving stuff in his bookbag

"look, i am sorry, i should have just-"

"y/n, i dont want to hear it, i am done" he said

"done with what?" i asked

"you, us, us fighting, neither of us seem happy" he said and a tear slipped down my face

"look, i am sorry, and i know you're hurt, but dont leave me" i said grabbing his bag

"dont make it seem like that, like i am just leaving you for no reason, we need time apart" he said

"babe, we can fix this" i said

"no, no we cant, this hurts me just as much as it hurts you, but i cant keep doing this, everything seem so perfect at the start, and dont get me wrong, you are an amazing girl, in every way, but it hurts when i am fighting with person i love most" he said taking the bag back

he put on his shoes to leave, but he turned around and came towards me

"i love you" he said as he hugged me and kissed me on my cheek "but there is no us, anymore" he said

"i love you..." i said looking down as he walked away, he gave me one last look and left, and the tears came streaming down my face

what. the. fuck.

i heard the door close and i just went into my bathroom and took a shower, when i got out, i threw some joggers on with a hoodie

and went downstairs, asante was sitting on the couch with y/b/f

"what happened?" she asked coming towards me

"he broke up with me" i said shrugging

"what, why for?" she asked

"because, i am stupid, and we always fight" i said grabbing a water

"what about-"

"look, y/b/f, i know you want to help, but i would rather not talk about it right now" i said walking upstairs

me: caleel ?caleel: what's up?me: i dont expect you to forgive me anytime soon or anything, but i just wanted to tell you i am sorry, and that you mean a lot to me caleel: you mean a lot to me too, you know that, but i dont want to continue to argue with youme: so, what exactly do you want to do about us?caleel: i think we should stay to ourselves, we were so much better as friends and i enjoyed it a lot betterme: oh, ok then, but i got to go, byecaleel: bye

1 year later...

caleel and i havent really had any conversation in an year, he occasionally would check on me, like telling me he loves me and stuff, but he recently came out with his new girlfriend, her name is ava

he posted her on his private insta, i guess he forgot to take me out of it, but we havent talked since then

y/b/f and i still live together, it seems like we were closer than ever, asante has stayed with us some, but he comes over less

as for me, i have been doing pretty good, i got an job at an smoothie shop in the mall, i have pretty much gotten over caleel though, i guess it must have been a phase for me, for the first month and a half, i cried almost every night in my room, but i'm better now

"y/b/f, i am on my way to work" i screamed walking out the door

"ok, bye" she yelled back

once i got to work, i checked in, put my apron on and went to the counter for my shift, plenty of people came up, but there was one that gave me a feeling, not that much a good one, it was caleel

i quickly fixed my shirt, tucked some of my hair behind my ear and looked back up, only to see him closer

"hello and welcome to smoothie king, would you like to try our new raspberry smoothie?" i asked

"no, thank you, i would like a large triple berry smoothie, with..."

"extra berries" he said out loud, and i said in my head, that was his favorite drink to get

"ok, is that all?" i asked smiling

"yes" he replied

"ok, your total has come to $4.19" i said and he handed me an $5 bill

after giving him his change, he looked into my eyes and began to talk

"you know, ever since...nevermind" he said walking to the other side of the counter to get his drink, i watched him go to grab it and he sat at an table by himself

i wondered what he was going to say

"hey, miranda, can i go on break early?" i asked my boss as she walked pass

"of course" she said and i quickly took of my apron, grabbed me a drink and slowly walked up to the table caleel was at

"can i sit here?" i asked smiling

"yea, what's up?" he asked

"how have you been, i seen you got booked for that new show "what's landing there", it must be exciting" i said

"yea, it is an interesting show, what have you been up to?" he asked

"nothing much, just this job really, and dealing with y/b/f all the time" i said laughing

"oh yeah, how is she doing?" he asked

"really good" i replied "but yeah, i just wanted to check in, you know, since we havent talked in an while"

"yeah, thanks" he said and i stood up to walk away, just for my hand to be grabbed, i turned around to see caleel now standing up in front of me

"yes?" i asked

"you know, i will always have love for you, no matter what" he said licking his lips

"yea, i know" i said smiling, i let go of his hand and walked away back to the counter

welcome to the end of this story :(this was my first story i ever wrote and it is over now (mostly cause i have so much writer block)this is so hard to write, currently crying a actually 😕 but yeah, this was an awesome experience with this story thank you for each read, vote, and comments, i love you all ♡6/23/19
