Akira's POV

" This way," the na'vi boy said. His older brother walked behind me, as if watching whether I'll escape. I walked into their home. The family sat on the ground, few dishes in front of them. I recognized some fruits, fish and meat. The 2 boys sat down while I stood awkwardly.

" Sit," Jake told me. I hesitated.

" It's ok, sit," he said. Slowly, I sat on the floor. This was...awkward...

The na'vi boy sat on my right while his brother sat on my left. The young girl stood up and quickly squeezed between me and her brother. She nudge the na'vi boy and sat on my right, the na'vi boy moved to give her space. I gave her a smile. She leaned close to me, as if telling me a secret.

" I think you're very pretty," she whispered to me. I felt some heat rising to my face.  She smiled brightly at me. I smiled back.

" Thank you," I whispered.

" What's your name?" she asked louder.

" Akira."

" I'm Tuktirey, but you can call me Tuk," she told me and started introducing her family.

" That's Lo'ak," she said as she pointed to the na'vi boy. He grinned.

" That's Neteyam," she said, gesturing to the older boy on my left, " he's the oldest."

I hummed and nodded.

" That's Kiri, my sister," she said as she pointed to the girl who got captured earlier. I gave her a smile.

" And that's my mom and dad," she finished. The family had started eating. Neteyam handed Tuk some fish. I just sat there, feeling like an intruder. Tuk looked at me, before grabbing a piece of fish.

" Here, you can eat it, it's edible," she said as she handed me the fish. I whispered my thanks. Slowly, I ate. The fish tasted like...regular fish.

" Here," Neteyam said, handing me some fruit, " You need to eat."

"Thanks," I replied and bit into the fruit. It was sweet and probably the best thing I've ever eaten.

" So... Akira, right?" Lo'ak asked. I nodded.

" How old are you?"

" 15," I replied.

" Okay, cool, so how did you end up in your Avatar body?"

" Um," I thought for a moment.

" I was had some sort of incurable sickness and had only about 3 years or so, and I was turning 8 at that time. My friends, or you could say, family, brought me to the hospital and um got me checked. They found out that my illness was incurable and coincidently, the General was there and heard everything, told them about this project and that they could, umm, transfer my memories into this body. But I'll have to go on this mission, so I got training and blah blah blah and when it was time, got my memories transferred into this body." I said, gesturing to my body.

" Ohh, so you came here against your will, huh?" he spoke.

" Yeah, but I didn't have a choice," I answered, eating calmly.

" Akira, what did you mean by friends? Didn't your parents bring you to the hospital?" Jake questioned. I stopped eating. It was silent for a moment.

" I was abandoned," I replied softly. Gasps were heard. Neytiri gave me a sympathy look.

" How old were you?" she asked.

" 3," I said. I looked down before smiling.

" So, you were raised in an orphanage?" Jake asked.

" Gangsters," I smiled more, and started eating again.

" Must have been rough," Lo'ak said. I laughed a little.

" Not really, they felt like family, and I miss them like hell," I replied.

" Cool, cool," he said. I felt full.

" I'm done, thank you for the dinner," I said and smiled.

" Yeah, sure," Jake replied. They were done eating too.

" Norm will show you where you'll be sleeping." Jake sat and smiled at me.

" Thank you," I thanked. At least they didn't treat me as a prisoner. I gave a small bow and walked out. I felt two small arms wrap around me. I look down and saw Tuk look up at me.

" Good Night Kira," she said. I smiled.

" Good Night Tuk," I hugged her and pulled away. She smiled happily. I returned the smile and walked away, meeting Norm not far away. I waved goodbye and Norm lead me to the place that I'll be resting at.
