Chapter 7

Jungkook walked away from the other members and dialed the number that YN had given him earlier. The line continued to ring and eventually went to voicemail. He hesitated for a moment wondering if texting her would be better but decided to leave her a voicemail to let her know when he would be available to come back over. She already knew he was planning on coming back so JK didn't think about it again and headed back to the stage to continue practicing for the show.

YN had just gotten home when her phone went off, her hands were full and she figured she would call whoever it was, back later. There wasn't anything that was pressing since work was still out for the break. Putting away her groceries she noticed the slight disarray that was her apartment. She started to clean and organize the apartment, after some time passed and the chores were done she remembered what the girls had said at the supermarket earlier in the day. She was curious about what K-pop group was putting on a show in town and she wondered why she was only just hearing about it. She walked over to her computer and pulled up her web browser, searching for nearby concerts in her area. Seeing the most recent post about a group named BTS, she clicked on the link when she suddenly heard her doorbell ring. She quickly got up and answered her door and the sight that greeted her left her breathless.

JK was standing on the other side of the door with a bouquet of roses and the sweetest grin on his face. Suddenly her heart started to race and YN felt faint, everything happened at once. Lola barked and alerted YN a bit too late as she blacked out. JK was startled by the turn of events and dropped the roses to catch her as she fell but managed instead to grab her wrist and yank her towards him sending both of them tumbling to the ground.

JK didn't know what to do nor did he know why YN would pass out like that. Then he remembered her saying that Lola was a service dog. The dog in question was currently licking her owner's face and pawing at her chest, it looked as if she was trying to wake YN up. He checked to make sure she was breathing but she was extremely pale, worried he grabbed his phone and dialed the only person he knew could help him.

"Namjoon, Namjoon please, I don't know what happened. First, she looked at me and she was surprised and the next she was collapsing. I don't know what to do."

"Hey JK ok, tell me where you are, send me your location. I'll get there, call an ambulance, the emergency line is 911 here. It's going to be ok, don't go anywhere."

"Joon, she has a service dog, what happens if something is really wrong. I didn't ask her why she had Lola, I didn't want to be rude and she didn't offer up the information."

"It's going to be ok JK, you need to call for help ok. I'll get there, I'm hanging up now."

The line went dead and JK knew he needed to call for help. It had only been a minute since she collapsed but she hasn't stirred.

Dialing 911 JK got a hold of the authorities and they dispatched an ambulance to their location. He held YN as Lola laid next to her with her head on her owner's legs.

"YN it's ok, I have you, I promise it's going to be ok. I just need you to wake up for me" he said as he kissed her forehead. He could hear the sirens in the distance and the sounds of slamming doors. Heavy footsteps pounded up the stairs and JK looked up to see not just Namjoon but J-Hope and Suga as well. They ran over to JK and YN who were still on the floor in the hallway. Lola though immediately lifted her head and eyed the newcomers with hesitancy. JK put his palm on her head and whispered soothingly to her and she went back to paying attention to YN.

Namjoon knelt down next to JK and saw the state of the woman in his lap. She was extremely beautiful but her skin was leached of color with a sheen of sweat on her brow. "Did she fall too hard or hit her head?" he asked. "And don't worry, the medics weren't too far behind us."

"No I grabbed her and pulled her towards me, we both fell but I took the brunt of it."

"Ok, do you know where her phone is? Many people have medical IDs on their phones it should tell us and the medics what's wrong and should have her emergency contacts listed."

"It should be inside."

"I'll go grab it, Joon stay here," Suga said.

Suga entered the apartment and looked for YN's phone. He noticed her laptop was open and the screens lit up. Realizing she must have been on the computer before JK arrived he walked over to see if it was on her desk. He saw the phone, picked it up and looked at the computer screen, what he saw made him laugh but knew he had to talk to JK about this asap. He quickly exited out of the link just for good measure and walked back into the hallway with the phone.

The paramedics arrived just at that moment and Suga handed the phone to Namjoon. He quickly located the emergency contacts and moved over to the side to allow the medics to get to YN. Pulling up the contact that said Mom, he quickly dialed the number from his phone.

JK was worried as the medic reached for YN to check her pulse. He didn't want to let anyone near her and neither did Lola but he realized that they needed to do their job. He heard Namjoon speaking to someone and Hobi was next to him with an arm around his shoulders lending him the support he so desperately needed.

"Ok guys, that was YN's mom. She said that YN has a heart condition, it temporarily stops and can cause fainting spells. She said that YN hates the hospital but depending on how long she has been out she may have to go. She did say that it's pretty hard on her and that she needs to keep her heart rate down."

The medic looked over at Namjoon as he said this and took out the pulse ox monitor and saw that YN's heart rate was still extremely high for being unconscious. "We need to take her, she needs to be checked out. Her heart rate is still high for being unconscious."

"Guys, look, hey I think she's waking up. Look at the dog." J-hope said as he pointed to Lola. Lola had gotten up and started licking YN's face again and nudging at her.

"What..." YN whispered and opened her eyes and meeting everyone's worried gazes. "Ummmm, I passed out didn't I?"

"Ma'am, how are you feeling, you've been out for a while and your heart rate is still extremely high. I suggest you come with us to be checked out."

"Ugh, no, please no, I hate hospitals. I'll be fine." She said shaking her head and looking up at JK who was still holding on to her for dear life. "Please don't make me go, I'll rest, I promise."

JK looked at the medic and back at YN "Does this happen often?"

"Not quite this bad but yes, it does and can happen." She buried her head into JK's chest as Lola had returned to her station on her lap providing the support she was trained to give to assist YN in lowering her heart rate. "I just need to lay down, Lola is good at doing her job. I just need rest."

Namjoon didn't look convinced but he looked at the medic "He's going to be staying with her, if anything else happens we will bring her in. It's probably best for her to stay and relax due to her condition being what it is." The medic shook his head but responded "It's your choice, go to the ER if it happens again." With that, they packed up their supplies and left the scene.

JK looked down at YN "Let's get you inside to lay down ok?"

YN nodded and the group went into her apartment. "It's a good thing I cleaned the place up a bit earlier today, it would have been embarrassing for all of you to see it that way" she joked. She wanted to ease the tension in the room.

"It's a nice place." Hobi said, "Not to mention you have the best roommate." As he crouched down to play with Lola. "I'm Hoseok by the way, but you can call J-Hope or Hobi."

"I'm Yoongi or you can call me Suga."

"I'm Namjoon or RM, it's nice to meet you YN. Sorry, it was on these terms but nice nonetheless."

"It's nice to meet you guys too, thanks for rushing over. I'm sorry this incident ruined your day."

"Not at all, we were actually telling JK that we wanted to meet you. We wanted to know who made him smile like an idiot all day during practice." Suga said. Namjoon looked at him though and shook his head, he didn't think it was smart to bring up the rehearsal or the fact that they were celebrities right now. Suga understood "Anyways, we left the other guys back at the hotel. We are just going to head out. Get feeling better YN." With that Suga, Namjoon, and J-hope left.

"I'm sorry JK. I'll understand if you want to leave too. I know it's a lot to deal with and we haven't known each other for very long so.."

"YN, stop that, seriously, it's really ok. I was shocked, yeah but I was scared. Now that I know what happens it's just fine. It's not a big deal, I promise." He said and leaned over to give her a kiss "I'm just glad you're ok. You're probably going to want to..." he was interrupted by a knock on the door. Looking at YN in confusion, she simply shrugged her shoulders but waved towards the door. He walked over to it but before he could open it, it swung open, and in came a frantic woman. Lola immediately bounded over to her wagging her tail with excitement. It was obvious she was familiar with the woman.

Then he hears YN say "Mom?"
