(Y/N)

"Laxus! Wait for me!" I yelled, rushing towards the door of the guilds after him.

He looked back at me then smirked. "You really think I'd leave without you, sunshine?"

My eyes widened a bit in shock at his pet name, but I giggled and gave him a bright grin.

"C'mon, I have a gift for you at the river." He returned my smile with loving eyes.

We walked in comforting silence to a peaceful river in the East Forest.

Laxus and I had claimed the area as our own to train or just hang out and talk. When we were little we would constantly fight at the guild just like Natsu and Gray, and when we were kicked out we would fight at the river instead. Now, as teenagers, we just hang out and train there.

"Shut your eyes. I have a surprise." Laxus ordered as we sat down at the bank of the river in a pasture of new spring flowers.

"Sir yes sir!" I responded with a playful tone, obeying him and closing my eyes.

He chuckled. "Hold out your hands." Again, I obeyed. I felt something fall into my hands. I opened my eyes and saw an amulet sitting in my palm. It was a golden chain with a deep purple gem attached that looked like it could hold the key to the galaxy.

"It was my mother's..." Laxus murmured. "I thought you'd enjoy it, it reminded me of you." He blushed; he was always shy with sentimental things like this.

I smiled and placed the amulet around my neck. "Thank you..." I stood up and tackled him into a hug. "Thank you so much Laxus it's beautiful!"

He picked me up as we hugged and spun me around. I laughed blissfully as a spun feeling like I was the happiest girl alive. Laxus placed me down and I stared deep into his eyes for a moment as he did mine, before we both leaned in and our lips touched. I smiled into the kiss as we pulled away and laid our foreheads against each other's, both feeling euphoric.

It had been a couple months into us dating when he began acting strange...

I followed Laxus as he walked out of the guild towards the direction of the river. I grabbed Laxus' hand as he stormed away. "Laxus... please, tell me what's wrong. I care about you..."

"Let go of me." He growled, ripping his arm away from my grasp.

"Laxus... is this about your father?" I questioned.

He froze for a moment. Then suddenly he violently pushed me against the wall of a building, pinning my arms to my sides. "How do you know about that?!"

"Laxus I know you're upset over Ivan since he is your father but... he deserved it. He deserved to be excommunicated you know what he did was wro-"

I felt a sharp pain on my cheek. I gingerly touched my hand to it, glancing up at Laxus with wide eyes. He looked apologetic for a moment, glancing at my reddening cheek then back to his hand but then he shook his head and glowered angrily at me. "You have no right to speak of my father like that."

"I-I..."

"Shut up!' He interrupted, pushing me even further against the wall. "One day I'll be stronger than that old geezer, I won't just be 'Makarov's grandson'! I'll make a name for myself, god dammit! And I'll come back to Fairy Tail and destroy all the weaklings there, including you. I never liked you at all; I just wanted to say I took your first kiss, your first love, your virginity! I NEVER. EVEN. LOVED YOU!" Laxus let go of me at that point, seeming shocked by what came out of his mouth.

Before I could say anything, or do anything violent to him, he turned and walked away.

I fell to my knees, sobbing quietly into my hands. I held the amulet in my palm before ripping it off my neck, breaking the chain, and throwing it at Laxus' feet. He paused, picked it up and put it in his pocket without even looking at me. Once he was out of sight, I cried out loudly in heartbreak, tears streaming down my face.

And at that point, I could've sworn I heard him murmur 'I'm sorry.'

I was close to tears from reminiscing on my memories with Laxus. I was shocked that just touching him after all this time would bring back everything that had happened. Sure, I'd seen him around the guild before but we would keep out distance. Even on the small second floor, when we were both there due to being S-class wizards we'd sit on complete opposite sides of each other. But this was the first contact I had had with him since... that event.

I took a deep breath and walked into the guild. It was still early in the morning so not many people were at the guild just yet. I hoped that Laxus wouldn't be there yet so I wouldn't have to face him.

I took a seat at the bar, taking in the atmosphere of the guild. It was strange how silent it was. "Oh, you're here early, (y/n)!" I looked up to meet Mirajane's sweet smile.

"Yeah, I thought it'd be nice to get to the guild before the others started fighting." I chuckled, lacing my fingers together.

Mirajane giggled and placed a plate of breakfast food and a strawberry smoothie in front of me. I was about to reject the food before she interrupted. "You look starving, (y/n). My treat." She grinned.

"Thank you, Mira." At that we chatted and reminisced about the old days of the guild and our memories as children. We laughed loudly at the memories of Mira, Erza, and I constantly fighting due to our long-standing rivalry as kids. While we were talking more and more members piled into the guild. Suddenly, the guild doors opened with a big bang. "(Y/N)!" A voice roared, almost mimicking a dragon's roar.

Natsu stood at the entrance with his signature grin on his face. "You owe me a fight!"

I sighed with a small laugh and pushed myself up from the barstool. "Alright Natsu."

He smiled cheekily and cheered 'Awesome!' before running outside with Happy and Lucy trailing behind him.

"Don't hurt him too bad, (y/n)" I looked down to see Master watching Natsu run off while speaking to me.

"I'll try, Master. He has good intentions, he's just a little... impulsive."

"He reminds me of you as a teenager. Always so reckless. I was surprised Laxus was able to handle you." Master chuckled.

I let out a half-hearted laugh, my mind again wandering to Laxus. Master was right, I was very childish and carefree as a teenager, but that had changed after Laxus abandoned me.

"Hey, (y/n)! You coming?" Natsu hollered, poking his head through the guildhall doors.

"Yeah yeah." I grinned, running outside.

"I wish she was still as naïve as she once was. She holds too large of a weight on her shoulders for only being 22." I heard Master murmur to himself.

I wish so too, Master. I thought solemnly.

"Alright, (y/n)! Don't hold back!" Natsu grinned, punching his fist into his hand while flames licked around it.

"You really think I'd ever hold back, Natsu?" I winked, my purple aura surrounding me.

(A/N: Okay so you guys already know I use gifs a lot, there's about to be a ton of them so sorry if you don't like them but they really help in visualizing battles in my opinion so yep tons of gifs :)! I'll also link some fairy tail battle music because I think that helps too)

"I'm all fired up now!" Natsu's entire body set aflame now.

I took a step back and shut my eyes, sensing the space around me. I felt every little vibration from the earth, from the breathing of my guild mates to the ants crawling on the ground. I heard whispers from my guild wondering what I was doing and why my eyes were shut.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" I heard Natsu running towards me. I opened my eyes after a moment, with him directly in front of me with his flaming fist raised. I gracefully dodged his attack, landing a hit on his back with the palm of my hand, causing him to trip a little. I turned around to face him and took a step back.

"My turn!" I smiled, a little crazily. I put out my arms to my sides, "Cosmic Arrows!" A dozen purple and silver magic beams shot from miniature magic circles that formed around me, each spreading and circling around in the air. "Go." I murmured. They all shot towards Natsu. He easily evaded them, as I was expecting. However, what he didn't realize was that these beams had homing target abilities. The beams circled around him and made there way back, aiming for his back.

"Natsu!" Lucy cried out, but it was too late. One by one the beams hit him and he grunted with each one. The beams dissipated and I stood, waiting for his next move. If it was any other enemy I would've pulverized them then in their weak state but this was my friend and we were only sparring.

"Alright, well-played." Natsu smirked as he glared up at me. I did a mock bow with a grin on my face. "But I've got my own tricks!" Natsu yelled out, the flames on his body becoming hotter and larger.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" He roared and I dodged it, however he was suddenly right in front of me.

"Fire Dragon's Crushing Fang!" He hit me and I slid back a couple meters but stayed on my feet.

"Cosmic Bombardment!" I held my hand tall above my head and a baseball sized ball of silver energy formulated in it. I moved my hands in front of my body and the energy ball shot towards Natsu. He tried to block the spell by putting his arms crossed in front of him but the spell easily broke through and he was thrown back, landing on his back. He groaned as he hit the ground and I stood tall, knowing he'd get back up and continue to fight.

He shakily stood and glared at me. He began running towards me, chanting "Fire Dragon's Sword Horn!" He tackled me to the ground while his entire body was blazing. He kneeled over me, pinning me to the ground by my wrists with a cocky smirk, thinking he had won.

To his surprise I returned the smirk and suddenly disappeared into a ball of space manipulation magic. I appeared behind Natsu and grabbed him by the nape of the neck, pulling him back towards me. I kneed him in the back and turned him around so I could give him an upper cut to the jaw and roundhouse kick him. He flew back and hit against a tree, sliding down unconscious with stars circling around his head. "Gotta love Territory Magic." I murmured to myself. I was able to defeat Natsu that easily this whole time but I decided to let him have his fun. I couldn't just let him win though.

The guild all laughed at Natsu while Happy flew over to make sure he was okay. I walked over to Natsu and grabbed his hand, pulling him up now that he was conscious. "You've gotten stronger from last time we fought." I winked.

"But not strong enough. I almost got you! I can't believe you beat me again." He started off angrily but then began to sulk.

I laughed and ruffled his hair before walking back to the guild.

I stopped dead in my tracks at who I saw standing a couple meters behind my family. "Laxus." I whispered to myself.
