Vacation

Toms POV

I ran up the stairs and made my way into my room. I walked through the doorway being struck by the cold air from the fan. I quickly grabbed my suitcase and opened it.

I didn't know why I bothered to talk to her. She left me. I didn't want to get too comfortable around her. I didn't want to hurt her again, though I did. I needed to take a step back and keep my distance. I didn't know why I felt like this. I didn't know why I still wanted to be around her. I couldn't explain it. I wanted to her to think I wasn't interested, but I wanted her. I needed a distraction. I wanted to her to think I hadn't been thinking about her for the last year. I missed her, but hated her so much. I couldn't control what to feel.

This didn't feel like reality. I wanted her to leave so we could all go back to normal. This whole situations was unrealistic. I sighed while folding the last shirt and stuffing it into my suitcase. I pulled my phone out my pocket and grinned before raising it to my ear while zipping up my bag.

"When are you getting here?" I hushed into the phone.

"I'm still with him" she moaned into the phone.

"Have you got any dirt on him yet?" I asked.

"No. Can you just pick me up on the way?" she said softly with annoyance in her tone.

"Of course," I grinned as I hung up and pulled the suitcase off the bed. Perfect I thought to myself.

Ashley's POV

I paced around the front entrance waiting for Tom to come down. Tom turned with a faint smile and through a black sweater to me.

"It's going to be cold" he said softly before walking past me.

I held it against my chest as I watched him walk away. I felt bad for being bland with him. But I had no idea what to say to him. I didn't have anything to say to him. I thought he would be angry with me but yet he wasn't. I felt like he was trying to act like nothing happened. Like he didn't put me through the shit he did.

"Ready to go?" Tom said low as he turned around to face me.

"Yep" I smiled.

I started to follow him into the garage, slowly pulling the sweater over my head. I started to fix the bottom of the sweater before we stopped Infront of a dark blue car. It was sleek and low to the ground. When I was in the garage earlier this car really caught my eye. He turned around giving me a grin and I lightly smiled back before I jumped into the passenger seat. The car stunk of cigarettes and cologne. I repositioned myself and looked into the rear-view mirror and watched as he loaded his suitcase into the trunk. I lowered back into my seat and Tom got into the car with a huff.

Soon enough we were flying down the street with the windows down and a smile slowly grew on my face. I shivered under the sweater he gave me due to the freezing wind flowing into the car from the windows. Feeling nervous I rolled the sleeves over my fingertips and sat with my arms crossed. I gazed out the window and watched as we passed the trees and soon enough we were in the city. I pulled my phone out from my bag and started to message Jai.

"Here" Tom spoke as I looked up in confusion.

"How did yo-" I started.

"Quickly" he said. I squinted my eye at him and swung open the door.

I quickly walked into the lobby and made my way to the elevator. I opened my hotel door and quickly scurried in grabbing my suitcase and swinging it open. I slammed all my stuff in and quickly ran back to the elevator. As I walked into the lobby I gave my hotel card to the lady behind the desk. After paying for my stay, I quickly paced back to Toms car. I opened the trunk and placed my suitcase next to his. I sat back down in the passenger's seat giving Tom a smile as I turned to him. He flicked his tongue ring and looked back to the road and slammed on the accelerator.

"Bree told me what hotel you were staying at" Tom spoke softly.

"Oh" I laughed be it fell silent once again....

I raised my head from the side of the car and looked out of the window as the car came to a stop. I looked to Tom in confusion, and he smiled and looked at the entrance of the building. I leant back on the door and grabbed my phone from my lap. The time was now almost 6:30 and we would need to be on the flight soon. I put my phone back down and turned around as the back door opened. I watched as a short women jumped in the back. She har dark red hair which remined me of mine. She had a small back dress on paired with black smoky makeup around her eyes. I looked at Tom as he turned around and faced the road and slowly reversed back. I looked back to the girl as she gazed at me confused. I noticed a few cuts and bruise across her body which filled me with anger. My fingers grew rougher over the thick fabric of his sweater. I looked to Tom biting my bottom lip. I shouldn't assume things but knowing how he is I couldn't help but to assume the worst.

We finally arrived at the airport, and we all jumped out of the car. I made my way to the trunk and pulled mine and Toms bag out. I pushed his suitcase and it rolled into his hands and he shot me a smile. I grabbed my handle and began to follow behind Tom and the lady through the airport doors. We skipped past security and bag checks which didn't surprise me. We started to board a plane with no one insight which also didn't surprise me. I found a spot near the back and sat down with a huff and placed my handbag on my lap. I watched as Tom and the lady sat down not far Infront of me. There was a couple minutes before the plane started to roll forward and soon enough we were in the air.

My eyes slowly fluttered open as I pushed myself up. I gazed around clueless before leaning back into my seat. I tapped the screen Infront of me and saw a screen which red '1 hour and 24 minutes before we land in Fiji'. I smiled to myself in excitement before turning off the screen. I repositioned myself and started to close my eyes once again. It was complete silence before I heard giggling. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. There was nothing so I shut my eyes once again. The giggling continued until I heard the leathers seats squeak. I furrowed my eyebrows as I heard the movements just ahead of me. The giggles soon started to turn into moans.

I sat back up and grabbed my headphones and slammed the jacket into my phone. I put the music at full volume and drowned out the sound of their activities. Gross I thought to myself. Yet I had to be grateful for this vacation. I soon fell asleep as the music damaged my ears drums.

...

"Morning" a lady spoke as I slowly opened my eyes. I began to blink at her in a daze. "We've arrived" she added with a smile.

"Thank you" I said croaky looking around confused.

"Your driver is just outside" she said before she turned around.

I fell back into the seat and sighed. I gathered my things into my bag and stood up. I started to walk past the empty seats, Tom, and the girl nowhere in sight. I walked down the stairs, and a man was stood Infront of a car, this must be the driver.

"Hello Ashley" the tall man spoke in a professional matter.

"Hi" I smiled.

"Your bags are already in the car. When you're ready you can hop in" he spoke as he walked to the door and opened it for me.

"Thank you so much" I said softly as I stepped into the car.

I sat into the seat still dreaming. I still hadn't fully woken up yet. I looked around me noticing Tom wasn't in the car. I looked in the rear-view mirror at the man in suspicion. He gave me a slight smile before we started to pull away from the airport. I sat silenced by fear. Knowing that Tom wasn't in the car made me wary of where I could be going unless they had a different driver.

...

We came to a halt, and I looked up from my phone in disbelief. There stood a massive building with tropical plants and bright coloured flowers surrounding the place. I was in awe at the sight of the beautiful retreat.

"Here we are" the man said with a laugh.

"Thank you" I smiled as I gazed back out the window.

I stepped out of the car and the man quickly grabbed the door for me.

"Let me get that for you" he said before shutting the door behind me.

I let the humidity wrap around me like a blanket and I smiled. The fresh nature filled my nose, and I turned around to the man. He slowly walked towards me with my suitcases in hand.

"Here you are" he smiled handing me the suitcases. "I'll see you tomorrow. I'll be bringing Jai" he added.

"Thank you" I smiled widely.

I turned back around excited and walked closer to the door. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a couple of people.

"Hey" one smiled.

"Hi" I said quickly back. 

"Thank you for staying with us" a women smiled.

"We will accompany you with anything" another spoke.

"Thank you" I smiled.

"Would you like a drink" a man said holding a tray of delicious drinks.

"Thank you" I said softly grabbing a drink from the tray flustered by the whole situation.

"Now we will show you to your room" a women came up behind me resting her hand on my lower back.

"Okay" I said with a smile.

I felt my bag slip out of my hands as a women took it from me. "Thank you" I said once again.

We stopped Infront of a room in the corner. I turned to my side and looked through the massive window overlooking the ocean. Bree was in the pool, and she gave me a excited wave. I smiled before I was pushed into the room. I caught my balance and smiled.

"Here is your room" the lady smiled. "I'll let you get settled in" she added before I heard the door shut.

I spun around the room in amazement. This was gorgeous. The bed was placed in the middle against a wall and Infront of the bed was a massive window with a sliding door overlooking the ocean. This room was incredible which made me wonder about Bill and Bree's room. I dropped my bag into the bed before making my way over to the glass door.
