Part 6

We begin the next morning.

The sun was fully up and so was Ginny. She was still sitting in the same spot on the couch when Sirius walked in. "Morning, ginger." He said, with a yawn. "Morning Padfoot." Harry walked in right behind him. "Ginny?" Ginny looked at Harry. "You told me you'd come up to bed!" Ginny quickly fashioned a story in her head. "I did come up. I just fancied an early morning, that's all." She tried her best to sound convincing, but Harry wasn't buying it. He walked over to her. "Why wouldn't you say anything?!" Harry had risen his voice. Ginny stood up and backed away. "Harry why are you mad? I stayed up one night... You're not my mother!" Hermione walked in and tried to make herself invisible, obviously uncomfortable. "Yeah!" Harry scoffed. "I'm not your bloody mother!" That doesn't mean I don't care about you!" He was yelling louder now. Ron, Fred, George, Hermione, and Sirius were all watching. Harry didn't notice. "And I don't even care that you stayed up all night! I just don't know why you wouldn't tell me, Ginny! Don't you think me, of all people, would know what you were going through??!?" Mr and Mrs. Weasley were also watching from the kitchen now, but stayed quiet. "Of course you know what I'm going through, Harry!" Ginny said louder. "That's exactly why I didn't tell you! Don't you think you've got enough on your plate? Maybe I care about you too, Harry! I didn't want you to have to deal with my problems! You can't look out for everyone, you know!" Ginny was still yelling, but Harry said this considerably quieter. "Then let me look out for you, Ginny." Harry's face was no longer cold and angry. He looked concerned. At this point Ginny became painfully aware that everyone in the house was watching them. Harry looked over his shoulder and had to stop himself from laughing at Fred, George, and Sirius, who were looking intently at him and Ginny with popcorn in their hands. Mrs. Weasley broke the silence. "Okay everybody. Breakfast?"
