"I’m already married," Lay said, shocking everyone. A-yuan, who had been kneeling, immediately stood up. "Not to Nana, right? No, no, please tell me it's not to her?" A-yuan asked, tears streaming down his face.

Elsewhere.  "About that man you spoke with," Jili said, catching the attention of Eros, who had his back turned to them. "Do you remember the picture you gave me when I first started working for you?" Jili asked. Eros shook his head. "I don’t remember," he replied, and that’s when Jili remembered that Yibo had no memory of his past, as the photo Eros had shown him was before his surgery, 16 years ago. "Why? What’s so important about him?" Eros asked curiously.

Jili glanced at Youn before turning back to Yibo. "The man you spoke to at the banquet is the same man who was with Zhan in the picture..."

Meanwhile, Gu Wei didn’t let Mianmian finish her sentence and quickly rushed inside, running toward the room where Eros was. When he opened the door, the three of them were in shock, as if they had seen a ghost, causing Jili to stop what he was about to say.

"Zhan," Eros immediately called out to him, and Eros was surprised when Gu Wei hugged him tightly. "You have to live. Our child needs you. I need you," Gu Wei said, but by the time he finished speaking, his words were broken by sobs. The door opened again, and Mianmian appeared, out of breath. Eros looked at her with confusion.

"I told him," Mianmian said just as Gu Wei pulled away from his embrace with Eros. "You’re not going to d@e. You’re going to have the surgery," Gu Wei said, gripping both of Yibo’s cheeks. Eros, standing to the side, was also on the verge of tears as he looked at the misery on Gu Wei’s face.

"If this is what I always have to see on your face, maybe I would have been better off never seeing your face at all," Eros said sadly, tears falling from his eyes. Gu Wei shook his head. "No, you need to see me because I’m not going to let you leave us. You can’t leave me and our child behind," Gu Wei said, noticing the confusion in Eros’s eyes. "I’m not engaged to Lay," Gu Wei said, shocking the four people in the room.

"Lay is already married," Gu Wei added, leaving them all wide-eyed with shock at his next words.

Meanwhile, they were all startled when the doorbell suddenly rang. The helper immediately went to check who was outside. "Who are you?" the helper asked. "I’m with Lay," the man replied with a smile, and the helper let him in. Everyone’s attention shifted to the man who had just entered.

"He's my husband" Lay said, catching the attention of everyone in the living room. Their expressions were hard to read, filled with uncertainty and confusion, but despite their hesitation, the man approached them to introduce himself. "I’m Jackson," he said with a smile.

Jackson was a friend of Eros, but he wasn’t aware of the full details of Eros's life over the past 16 years. Jackson was also the one Eros asked to investigate Gu Wei and to conduct the first DNA test between A-yuan and Gu Wei, which turned out negative. How Gu Wei’s group found out about the DNA test, even though Jackson hadn’t revealed Yibo's plan to them yet, was because Gu Wei had put something on Eros’s phone, allowing them to read everything on it. Gu Wei did this when he had access to Eros's phone while they were at the house Eros had built. As for the background information Eros had requested about Gu Wei, all of it was true.

The real Gu Wei bore a striking resemblance to Ebisu. He wore glasses but had no mole below his lip. In short, Gu Wei was Ebisu’s doppelgänger, and the two never had a chance to meet. Gu Wei was also a friend of Jackson, who was married to Lay. When the real Gu Wei had his accident, they called Jackson because Gu Wei had no family left, having lost contact with his father, who was also Mianmian’s father, a long time ago. So when Gu Wei d@ed, they used his identity for Ebisu to seek revenge on Eros and Liying. In this plan for revenge, Ebisu and Lay pretended to be engaged, with Ebisu posing as Gu Wei, so it would be easier for him to approach Yibo's family and Liying.

Jackson never told Yibo any of this because Ebisu had begged them not to say a word. Initially, they were reluctant, but after learning everything that had happened to Ebisu, they decided to help him. Lay’s mother, Yang Mi, also knew the whole truth, including the fact that Lay and Jackson were married.

In short, the ones who knew about Ebisu's plan for revenge were Lay, Jackson, Ziyi, Xuan Lu, Yang Mi, and his two closest friends, Haoxuan and Jiyang. Haoxuan and Jiyang have been with Ebisu for 11 years now, when Gu Wei was sold to the Black Market, which was also one of Liying's connections, with the man who pretended to be Zhan's friend. It was through this network that Ebisu met Haoxuan and Jiyang, and they became his allies. The three of them planned to escape together, and Haoxuan and Jiyang promised that, even at the cost of their own lives, they would help Ebisu get his revenge. After spending 11 years with Ebisu, they had witnessed his suffering and knew what he had gone through.

Elsewhere. A-Yuan hugged Lay tightly. "Thank you, thank you. Now, I can finally put my family back together," he said, crying, as the older people around them sighed with relief.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Eros managed to ask, "Who?" Gu Wei took a deep breath. "Jackson," he answered quietly, which shocked the four of them once again. They exchanged glances, and though Eros couldn’t see their faces, he knew they were all thinking the same thing. "Jackson, Yibo’s friend?" Eros sat down in disbelief. "Which Jackson?" he asked, trying to stay calm. "Jackson, your friend," Gu Wei replied, and Eros visibly slumped, his shoulders dropping as the weight of the revelation hit him.

"It's not his fault not to tell you. I told them not to tell you the truth because it was part of my revenge against you. I didn’t know you had suffered too, just like me, or even worse," Gu Wei said, his voice trembling with emotion. He wiped away his tears, but they kept falling no matter how hard he tried to stop them.

When Gu Wei had calmed down a bit, Eros’ earlier words about not being sure if he was really Zhan suddenly came to mind. "By the way, didn’t you mention that you weren’t sure at first if I was really Zhan? What convinced you?" Even though Gu Wei was calming down, his voice still trembled, and Eros, noticing this, immediately took his hand.

Meanwhile, Youn, Jili, and Mianmian sat down on the sofa. "Liying did a DNA test," Yibo replied. "What? So, Liying already knows that I’m Zhan?" Gu Wei asked in surprise, as Eros gently squeezed both of Gu Wei's hands.

Flashback to Yibo’s parents’ wedding anniversary.

After Gu Wei left, Eros remained, watching his back slowly disappear from sight. He stayed under the tree for several minutes before entering his parents' mansion, but he didn’t take the same path Gu Wei had. Instead, he went through the back to avoid being seen.

He heard Liying calling out to him, but he didn’t respond. He quietly retrieved some of his belongings from his room without anyone noticing. On his way out, he spotted Liying sitting at their table, alone, since his parents were busy dancing. At first, he didn’t recognize her, but when he remembered what she was wearing, his brows furrowed—not because of her outfit, but because he saw her carefully grab Gu Wei’s glass and wrap it in a tissue.

"So, you’re doubting Gu Wei’s identity too," he muttered under his breath, quickly hiding when he noticed Liying looking around. Once Liying was sure no one was watching, she placed Gu Wei’s glass in her bag and discreetly left.

Eros followed her closely and discovered that she was planning to get a DNA test for both Gu Wei and herself. She glanced around once more before getting into the car. Since Eros and Liying had arrived at the mansion in the same car, Yibo had no choice but to borrow his brother’s car and secretly follow her to the hospital.

When Liying arrived at the hospital, she went straight to a doctor she knew, but he informed her that the results wouldn’t be ready for three days. Liying had no choice but to wait. Once Eros confirmed that she had left, he entered the room where she had spoken to the doctor. The doctor was startled by Eros' sudden entrance, but Eros made it clear that things wouldn’t end well if the doctor didn’t cooperate. Frightened, the doctor agreed to Eros' demands.

"I want the results of that DNA test now," Eros demanded angrily. "But..." the doctor tried to explain. Eros cut him off, "I can shut down this hospital, blacklist you from every medical institution, and spread the word that you're conducting DNA tests without the consent of the individuals involved," Eros threatened, leaving the doctor with no choice but to comply.

The people who knew about Ebisu's revenge. Except for real Gu Wei.
