PART 53

As Gu Wei stepped into the elevator, he coincidentally found himself alongside Liying. She deliberately flaunted the kiss mark on her neck. "Ah, my husband was amazing last night," she said, but Gu Wei simply ignored her. "My husband truly loves me, unlike some people who enjoy being with a married man," she added, looking pointedly at Gu Wei.

"Did you forget to take your medicine?" Gu Wei calmly asked, making Liying stare at him in confusion. "Your condition seems to be getting worse—you’re talking to yourself. And by the way, don't be so sure. For all you know, it might have been someone else you were with last night," Gu Wei covered his mouth as if he hadn’t meant to say that. "Oops," he smirked, noticing the anger flashing across Liying's face.

"Oh, are you mad now?" he teased. "If you can't handle the fact that I was with my husband last night, don't make up stories to try and ruin us or make me angry at him, because no matter what you do, you’ll never tear us apart," Liying said sternly. Gu  Wei stepped closer to Liying, raising his hand as if he were about to slap her, causing her to flinch immediately. "Don't worry, I wouldn’t dirty my hands," he said, stopping to give her a disdainful look from head to toe.

"How sure are you that you and your husband will not separate? Do you remember that even if I don't do anything your husband who doesn't love you makes a way to be with me. I'll also remind you that we left together when we went to the amusement park Ha Ha Ha just three laughs so you won't get hurt too much" Gu Wei couldn’t help but smile at the sight of Liying’s pale face. "But since you're so confident," he sighed. "Instead of marrying his cousin, maybe I'll just marry your husband," he added with a grin.

Liying was about to speak but was interrupted by Gu Wei's phone ringing. Gu Wei grinned as he saw who was calling and intentionally showed Liying the name on the screen.

"Hello, Yibo," Gu Wei greeted,  Liying raised an eyebrow. "Yibo? Shouldn't it be Mr. Wang since he's his boss?" Liying wondered to herself.

"When you arrive at the company, come straight to my office. I want to discuss the clients I'm meeting abroad, and I’d like us to go together," Yibo said on the other end. For some reason, Gu Wei glanced discreetly at the elevator's CCTV. "Okay, I'm on my way," he replied, ending the call. When he looked back at Liying, she was already red with anger.

"It seems like I’ll be spending a lot of time abroad with your husband, and who knows, maybe when we return, we are already married. What do you think?" Gu Wei said with a meaningful smile. "No matter what you do, you'll never take my husband away from me. Be careful, or you might just disappear," Liying threatened. "Don’t worry, what you used to do won’t happen again," Gu Wei replied, and before Liying could say anything else, the elevator doors opened.

Before Gu Wei went out, he spoke. "Wait, are you aware that your wife sometimes calls me Zhan or Baobao" Gu Wei saw the sudden change in liying's face color again. "What will happen when we are in another country, then we only check in one room, that sounds exciting" Gu Wei said then went out but before Liying could go out.Gu Wei immediately pressed the the close door buttons, as the elevator was closing. Gu Wei raised his hand at the same time. "🖕"

After the elevator closed, Liying noticed that all the numbers on the floor were pressed. "I really hate him, I will k@ll him, I swear" Liying shouted inside the elevator

Meanwhile, Gu wei couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Stupid" he whispered then walked towards Yibo's office as if nothing had happened. He knocked before entering

Eros immediately noticed the weariness in Gu Wei's eyes, prompting him to stand up right away. "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly. Gu Wei sat down on the sofa, even though Eros hadn't told him to sit down. "I just couldn't sleep last night," he said, leaning back against the sofa. He knew that Liying could walk into Eros's office at any moment, so he deliberately closed his eyes while leaning back.

He initially planned to annoy Liying, but he was surprised as his eyelids began to feel heavy until he eventually fell asleep. Eros’s scent had a unique effect on him, always calming him down or lulling him to sleep whenever he woke up from a nightmare.

Eros called Gu Wei's name several times, but when he didn't respond, Eros carefully lifted him. He was about to carry him away when the door suddenly opened, revealing a furious Liying. But before she could say anything, Yibo shot her a sharp look and carried Gu Wei to the room. If he hadn't heard and watched the argument between Gu Wei and Liying while in the elevator, he wouldn't have recognized Liying right away.

"Wang Yibo, what do you think you're doing? Right in front of me?" she asked angrily. "If you don't keep quiet, I'll drag you out of my office," Eros threatened as he continued walking, leaving Liying stunned into silence.

"He's really good at pretending," Liying muttered angrily. What she didn’t know was that Gu Wei hadn’t slept all night, worried about Eros. He hated Eros with all his heart, but without his scent, he couldn't sleep well, even with sleeping pills.

In short, their lives were intertwined, dependent on each other.

Eros gently laid the sleeping Gu Wei on the bed and covered him with a blanket. "I told you, don’t think too much about things we can’t control. It hurts, but we're all heading there," Eros whispered softly, as if accepting his fate. "He's happy with someone else now, and that's what matters to me. Like they say, if you truly love someone, you'll endure the pain just to see them happy, even if you're not the reason anymore." He kissed Gu Wei's forehead at the same time his tears fell.

"I love you so much, Xiao Zhan. From then until now, it's still you," Eros whispered.

"Baobao," Gu Wei murmured in his sleep. Before Eros could react, Gu Wei hugged him, causing Yibo to lie down beside him. "I don't want to lose you again," Gu Wei added, still asleep.

Eros heard liying knocking on the door so he took out his phone to message her.

"Let's talk later" After he sent the message, his phone rang immediately but he didn't answer it, instead he sent another message. "I said I'll talk to you later"

"Yibo, open the door if you don't want me to destroy it, what are you doing in there." liying shouted from outside the door.

"If you don't stop yelling, I will never talk to you" Suddenly the outside became silent.

"I will wait outside"

"Up to you"
