Chapter one

Background info: Marshall and Gary met one day when they were 8 and were inseparable ever since. Suddenly, when they were both 10, Marshall moves away leaving Gary heartbroken. Gary's pov

I was taking a walk outside, admiring the trees and the scenery. It was really pretty here I thought, looking around. I then saw another kid, also walking alone. I decide to go up to him to say hi. "Hi, my name is Gary!" I say enthusiastically. "Hi, my name is Marshall," he says, quieter. I start rambling on about things, and about how nice the scenery was, random stuff like that, trying to catch his attention. He just stood there, watching me with a smile on his face. I grabbed his hand and we ran around, until I saw my mom drive up in the distance to come get me. I saw another car pull up, too. Maybe that was his mom's. I ran up to my mom and told her about Marshall, while showing him to her. "Well that's great, sweetie!" She said, and I saw another woman step out of the car and go over to Marshall. I wondered who that was.

Marshall's pov I saw my mom get out of her car and walk over to me. "Time to go home, Marshall," she said sternly. "Oh, who's this?" She asks, pointing to Gary. "This is Gary, and I'm his mom, velvet," she says, shaking her hand. "Hana Abadeer," my mom says back. "Marshall was so fun! Can I see him again, mom? Pleaseee?" Gary says in whining tone. "Sure, honey," she says, then turns over to my mom. "Let's exchange numbers so they can hang out again," "good idea," then they pull out their phones and exchange numbers. "Time to go, Gary," Gary's mother says, taking his hand. "Bye Marshall! Hope I can see you soon!" He says, waving. I wave back, watching him go. "Come on," my mom says, leading me to the car. As we drive off, all I can think about is him.
