The semester break finally arrived, and with it came a wave of relief that washed over Fourth like a warm embrace. He sat with Ford and Satang in the cafeteria, the air filled with the scent of freshly brewed coffee and the distant sounds of students bustling about. Excitement bubbled within him as he thought about his plan for the day—asking Gemini to be his official boyfriend. Just the thought made his cheeks flush with anticipation.
Ford, always the master planner, leaned back in his chair with a grin. "How about a beach outing to kick off the break? A dinner date by the shore sounds perfect." The idea ignited a spark in Fourth's heart; a sunset backdrop, candlelight dancing in the breeze—it was exactly what he had envisioned.
"Count me in!" Satang added, his eyes twinkling with mischief. But there was more—he discreetly confided in Winny about Fourth's intentions. "We need to help him pull this off," he said, a knowing smile on his face. Winny nodded, eager to join the effort, his sensible nature promising thoughtful support.
As the group arrived at the beach, the atmosphere transformed into a celebration of friendship and laughter. The sound of crashing waves mixed with their joyful chatter, creating a symphony of carefree energy. They splashed in the water, played games, and teased each other mercilessly, yet it was all in good fun. Fourth felt enveloped by warmth and belonging, emotions he had long thought were out of reach.
As the sun dipped toward the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, they sprawled on the warm sand, exhausted yet content. Fourth reflected on the journey that had brought him here. Once an outsider, bullied by Gemini, he had woven himself into this vibrant tapestry of friends. Ford had always been his anchor, steadfast and supportive, while Satang, initially distant, had become a fierce protector. And then there was Winny, whose sensible demeanor brought a soothing presence to the group.
Gemini, once a source of torment, had transformed into someone Fourth genuinely cared for—a revelation that still surprised him. "Who would have thought we'd all end up here together?" Fourth mused aloud, a soft smile gracing his lips. The beauty of the moment struck him; he was surrounded by people who had grown to mean so much, especially Gemini—who, beneath his teasing exterior, had shown unexpected kindness.
As twilight descended, casting a magical glow over the beach, Fourth took a deep breath, his heart racing. The moment had finally arrived. He turned to Gemini, his voice steady but his hands trembling slightly. "Hey, do you want to take a walk?"
Gemini raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his eyes, and nodded. They strolled along the shoreline, the cool waves lapping at their feet. The rhythmic sound of the ocean provided a calming backdrop, as if the world around them had faded away, leaving just the two of them. Their fingers brushed, then intertwined, and Fourth's pulse quickened at the warmth radiating from Gemini's hand.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, they approached a secluded area where their friends had gathered. The sight that greeted them made Gemini stop in his tracks—a table set up, adorned with flickering candlelight and surrounded by the smiling faces of their friends.
"What is this?" Gemini asked, confusion etched across his features as he turned to Fourth, who was still holding his hand.
Fourth swallowed hard, feeling the weight of the moment settle in his chest. "I wanted to do something special... for us." He felt the rhythm of his heartbeat intensify, echoing his nervousness. Gently, he led Gemini to the table, their friends quietly cheering them on from a distance.
As they took their seats, the candles flickered softly in the evening breeze, casting gentle shadows on their faces. The tension in the air was palpable, a mixture of excitement and vulnerability washing over Fourth.
"Gemini," Fourth began, his voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions within him, "we've had our ups and downs. You've made me laugh and feel things I didn't think were possible. I know we started off rocky, but... you've become someone really special to me."
Gemini's expression shifted from confusion to intrigue, his eyes locking onto Fourth's with an intensity that made his heart race. "I—"
"Wait," Fourth interrupted, needing to get this right. "I know I've been shy about this, but I want to be clear. I want you to be my boyfriend. I want to explore this... whatever this is between us. Will you be mine?"
Silence fell like a soft blanket as the words hung in the air. Then, slowly, a smile broke across Gemini's face, lighting up his features like the candles around them. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper, but filled with warmth and certainty. "I'd love to be your boyfriend."
Cheers erupted from their friends, shattering the intimate moment with joyful celebration. Fourth felt a rush of relief and happiness flood through him, the warmth of Gemini's hand in his radiating throughout his entire being.
Three Months Later....
The cafeteria buzzed with the energy of students decompressing after a grueling exam period. Fourth, Ford, Satang, and Winny gathered around their usual marble table, weary yet exhilarated by the end of another semester. As they settled into their seats, their eyes naturally drifted to Gemini and Fourth, who were leaning into each other, lost in their own world.
Ford feigned a dramatic cringe. "Gosh, Earth, bring my friend back!" he teased, throwing an exaggerated glance at Fourth, who shot him a glare filled with playful annoyance.
Satang chimed in, his voice laced with mischief. "I didn't know Fourth would be this clingy, and Gemini would be this cringy." He laughed, causing Winny and Ford to chuckle along. "I know, right? Where's that Gemini I used to know? The one who liked to play pranks on everyone? Now all I see is a puppy who follows orders."
Gemini, catching a fry mid-air, tossed a piece at Winny with a playful grin. "I changed, okay? Stop being annoying!" he replied, his tone light yet teasing. "Don't make me start with you, Winny."
"What about me?" Winny asked, pretending to be oblivious, his eyes sparkling with challenge.
"Oho, what about you and Satang? What's going on between you two?" Gemini shot back, a teasing smirk on his face. Winny's cheeks flushed a deep crimson.
"W-what are you saying?! There's nothing going on with us!" Winny stuttered, his flustered response sending Gemini and Fourth into fits of laughter, prompting them to tease even more.
"Right, aren't you two getting pretty close now?" Fourth asked, a smirk tugging at his lips as he watched Satang's ears turn a shade of pink.
"Well—what's wrong with it? We're just close, that's all," Satang replied, his voice faltering slightly. "Er—right, right, right!" Winny agreed, his face still burning.
But then Satang dropped a bombshell. "But it would be fine for me if it's beyond that." He locked eyes with Winny, whose face turned an even deeper shade of red.
Gemini, Fourth, and Ford exchanged incredulous glances. "Wait, what?" Ford exclaimed, eyebrows raised in surprise.
"What?" Fourth echoed, equally baffled.
"Say it again!" Gemini yelled, laughter bubbling in his voice.
"It's nothing," Satang mumbled, a hint of embarrassment creeping into his tone.
"No. Say it again," Fourth pressed, his excitement palpable.
Their voices echoed in the bustling cafeteria, laughter ringing out clearly as they reveled in the moment, the bonds of friendship growing deeper amidst the playful chaos. The laughter continued, a testament to their evolving relationships, each moment more precious than the last.
End of the Last Chapter
a/n:
Hi readers!
I'm excited to announce that my story has finally come to an end! I hope you enjoyed it, even with some gaps along the way. I've been writing during my free time, and I really appreciate all the support you've given me. If you liked the story, please consider voting and sharing your thoughts in the comments!
I'm also thinking about writing a sequel or a spinoff featuring Winnysatang. I'd love your support on that too!
Just to clarify, I'm not hating on Prom; I really enjoy his character in High School Frenemy and Perth as well. They're all great actors and close friends of Gemini in real life—just wanted to make that clear!
Thanks again for everything!
