Hyunjin shifted slightly, adjusting Felix in his arms.
Felix was tiny.
Hyunjin frowned. He had always known Felix was on the smaller side, but now that he was really paying attention, he felt the need to feed Felix, make sure he gets something in his system.
Without a word, he unwrapped Felix from him and grabbed his wrist. "Come on," he said, already pulling him toward the door.
"Huh? Where are we going?" Felix asked, confused but letting himself be dragged along.
"Downstairs," Hyunjin said simply. "You're eating."
Felix blinked, stumbling after him. "What? Why?"
"Because," Hyunjin muttered, not offering an explanation.
"Because what? Why are you suddenly acting like my mom?" Felix huffed, dragging his feet dramatically. "Hyunjin, I'm not even hungry—"
Hyunjin shot him a look that shut him up immediately. "You're eating, Felix. No arguments."
Felix sighed but followed obediently as Hyunjin pulled him into the kitchen. It was warm, the faint scent of cinnamon lingering from something Hyunjin's mom had baked earlier. Hyunjin let go of Felix's wrist, moving straight to the fridge.
"What do you want?" Hyunjin asked, opening the fridge and scanning the shelves.
Felix leaned against the counter, arms crossed. "I told you, I'm not hungry—"
Hyunjin turned to glare at him. "Pick something, or I'm picking for you."
Felix rolled his eyes but gave in. "Fine. Rice?"
Hyunjin nodded, already grabbing leftovers and heating them up. "Sit," he said, pointing at the kitchen stool.
Felix obeyed, watching as Hyunjin moved around the kitchen like he owned it. It was kind of funny, seeing him so serious about something so simple.
"You don't have to do this, you know," Felix mumbled after a moment.
"I do," Hyunjin said, plating the food carefully.
"Why?"
Hyunjin placed the bowl in front of him and looked him straight in the eye. "Because you don't eat enough."
Felix swallowed, suddenly feeling seen in a way he wasn't sure he liked. "I eat fine—"
"No, you don't." Hyunjin pulled up a chair beside him, resting his chin on his palm. "You're small, Felix. I mean, I always knew you were small, but just now I realized how tiny you actually are. It's not healthy."
Felix blinked, taken aback by how blunt Hyunjin was being.
"So, eat," Hyunjin said, softer this time. "Please."
Felix looked down at the food, then back up at Hyunjin. There was no teasing in his expression, no usual dramatic Hyunjin behavior—he was serious.
Felix sighed, but there was warmth in his chest. "You're annoying," he muttered, picking up his spoon.
Felix just shook his head and took a bite. And honestly? He was hungry.
Hyunjin watched closely as Felix took his first few bites, arms crossed as if he was standing guard. Felix tried to ignore the way Hyunjin's gaze practically burned into him, but it was hard when Hyunjin looked so damn smug about it.
"Can you stop staring at me like that?" Felix mumbled through a mouthful of rice.
"No," Hyunjin said immediately. "You eat like a bird, and I'm making sure you finish this."
Felix groaned, slumping dramatically in his chair. "Why are you suddenly acting like my personal nutritionist?"
"Because someone has to," Hyunjin said simply, nudging the spoon in Felix's hand like a strict babysitter. "Now hurry up, or I'm feeding you with my own hands."
Felix shot him a look. "You wouldn't dare."
Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, clearly unbothered by Felix's little threat. "Try me."
Felix scoffed but kept eating, just to avoid the utter humiliation of having Hyunjin spoon-feed him like a child. The last thing he needed was Hyunjin treating him like a helpless baby.
Still, there was something about the way Hyunjin cared—really cared—that made Felix's heart do that stupid, annoying fluttering thing again.
"Happy now?" Felix asked after finishing almost half of the bowl.
Hyunjin tilted his head, pretending to consider. "Hmmm. Almost. A few more bites."
Felix groaned dramatically. "You're so annoying and stubborn."
"And yet," Hyunjin smirked, resting his chin on his hand, "You still cuddle me, call me Jinnie, and go in soft mode for me."
Felix nearly choked on his rice. He coughed violently, reaching for a glass of water while glaring at Hyunjin, who was now laughing his ass off. "I— What—Shut up!"
"You're so easy to fluster, it's hilarious," Hyunjin cackled, leaning back in his chair with a satisfied grin.
Felix scowled, cheeks warm as he swallowed the last of his rice aggressively, just to spite Hyunjin. "There. I'm done. You can stop hovering now."
Hyunjin clapped his hands together like a proud parent. "Good boy."
Felix groaned again, shoving his empty bowl toward Hyunjin. "I hate you."
"No, you don't," Hyunjin grinned, getting up to clear the dishes. "Now, since you've been such a good little patient, I think you deserve a reward."
Felix raised an eyebrow. "...A reward?"
Hyunjin nodded, rinsing off the dishes before turning back to Felix. "We're going back upstairs, and we're watching whatever you want."
Felix blinked. "Wait, really?"
"Yes, really," Hyunjin sighed. "Even if it's that one dumb show with the dramatic love triangles."
Felix gasped. "True Beauty is not dumb!"
"It's a little dumb," Hyunjin teased, already making his way back toward the stairs. "But come on, let's go before I change my mind."
Felix practically ran after him, his stomach warm from both the food and the way Hyunjin just knew how to take care of him.
Hyunjin's bed was warm, and Felix was practically melted against him, arms lazily draped over Hyunjin's waist. The soft glow of the TV screen flickered across the room, but neither of them was paying any attention to True Beauty anymore. The episode had been playing for the last twenty minutes, but all they had done was yap.
"I'm just saying," Felix huffed, shifting slightly so his chin was resting on Hyunjin's chest. "If I was in this show, I would've solved everything in like two episodes."
Hyunjin snorted, running a lazy hand through Felix's soft hair. "Yeah? And how exactly would you do that, genius?"
"Easy." Felix held up a finger. "Step one: tell the truth. Step two: make out. Done."
Hyunjin let out a full laugh, the kind that made his whole body shake. "Make out? That's your big solution?"
"Yeah," Felix grinned. "K-drama people are so dramatic. Just kiss and move on."
Hyunjin rolled his eyes but couldn't stop smiling. "You say that like you have any experience."
Felix gasped, offended. "Excuse me?"
"What?" Hyunjin teased. "You've never even had a girlfriend, Felix."
"And?" Felix sat up slightly, poking Hyunjin's cheek. "I could get one if I wanted to."
"Oh really?" Hyunjin smirked, catching Felix's hand before he could poke him again. "What happened to that girl who asked you out?"
Felix froze for a second before groaning, flopping back onto Hyunjin's chest dramatically. "Ugh, don't remind me."
"What?" Hyunjin laughed, nudging Felix's side. "She was cute."
Felix buried his face in Hyunjin's hoodie. "Shut up."
Hyunjin hummed, amusement laced in his voice. "You never actually explained why you didn't say yes."
Felix stiffened slightly. "Uh... she just... wasn't my type."
Hyunjin raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What is your type then?"
Felix's brain went into full panic mode. "Uh—"
Hyunjin smirked. "Don't tell me it's the main lead of this drama. Felix, do you have a type and is it hot K-drama actors?"
Felix huffed, rolling onto his back beside Hyunjin and stretching his arms above his head. "If we're talking ideal types, you go first."
Hyunjin smirked. "Easy. My ideal type is someone who's cute but has a huge attitude."
Felix scoffed. "You just described Jisung."
Hyunjin barked out a laugh. "No, I didn't! Jisung's not cute, he's just annoying."
"Rude," Felix snorted. "Okay, keep going."
Hyunjin thought for a second, tapping his fingers against his stomach. "I like someone who makes me laugh a lot. Someone who's clingy but only with me. And..." He trailed off, voice softening slightly. "Someone who makes me feel comfortable, you know? Like I don't have to try so hard to be cool or perfect all the time."
Felix turned his head to look at him. "That's... actually kind of sweet."
Hyunjin shrugged, staring up at the ceiling. "Yeah, well. It's true."
Felix hesitated for a moment before asking, "Does Haeri make you feel like that?"
There was a beat of silence. Then Hyunjin let out a small, awkward laugh. "Uh... yeah. I mean, she's great. She loves me a lot, and I love her, so... yeah."
Felix didn't say anything. Because if Hyunjin had to convince himself, was it really true?
Before Felix could linger on it too much, Hyunjin turned to him. "Okay, your turn. What's your type?"
Felix immediately tensed. "Uh—"
"Come on," Hyunjin grinned. "You have to have some idea."
Felix swallowed, forcing himself to think of something that wasn't the boy lying next to him. "Okay, um... I like people who are...uhm—muscular."
Hyunjin snorted. "Of course you do, you're tiny."
"Shut up," Felix muttered. "I like... people who take care of me. Like, not in a weird way, but someone who notices little things, you know?"
Hyunjin hummed. "Sounds like you want a boyfriend, not a girlfriend."
Felix's stomach dropped. "W-What? No, I—"
"Relax," Hyunjin chuckled. "I'm just messing with you. Keep going."
Felix let out a breath, trying to ignore the way his heart was pounding. "Um... I like people who are funny. Someone I can tease but who teases me back just as much. Oh! and I definitely need someone who will always cuddle me."
"So basically me," Hyunjin joked, nudging Felix's arm.
Felix's entire body stiffened. "Wha—No!" he blurted, sitting up way too fast. "You?! Never. Absolutely not."
Hyunjin raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You sound a little defensive there, Lixie."
"I just—" Felix groaned, flopping back down and covering his face with his hands. "Forget it. This was a dumb conversation."
