Chapter 10- Final

You blushed at the memory. Today was just like any other. It had been a few months after the incident. What happened between you and Byakuya was all over the soul society. You would grimace whenever someone pointed at you or whispered as you passed by. You should have expected it though.

They loved the gossip. You were pretty much healed up now. You started training as soon as Unohana gave you the okay. You worked at it day and night so when Ichigo came back you could have a proper battle. You knew before that he was always holding back. The next time you saw him you would make him put in the effort. You weren't going to get better if he kept taking it easy on you.

You were making your way to Ukitake. When you got to his barracks you saw him sitting outside sipping tea with Unohana. You smiled as you watched the both of them talk happily.

"Heh, Ukitake-taicho you're smoother than I thought." you chuckled. He looked up at your statement, a blush gracing his cheeks.

"I-I was just telling her how well you've been." he defended. You and Unohana laughed at his embarrassment. She stood.

"I should be taking my leave. It's good to see you're back to your old self." She said giving you a pat on the head. You smiled up at her nodded as she gave Ukitake a smile before leaving.

When she was out of earshot you gave Ukitake a smirk. A bead of sweat ran down his head as he shifted uncomfortably. " You know I'm pretty sure she's single Taicho." He stammered.

"W-Why would I care!" he said as he stood. You laughed. "I was just saying, in case you were interested. " you waved your hand absently.

You were about to tease him further when you heard the flapping of clothing. You turned at the sound. Your face turned crimson when you realized who it was.

"K-Kuchiki-taicho!" He looked at you. "I would like to have a word with you (Y/N)-san."

"O-Oh! S-Sure o-of course!" you said nervously. You turned to Ukitake to bid him goodbye. You were surprised at the deadly look your captain directed at Byakuya. 

"If she comes back with so much as a scratch, I'll bury you." your eyes widened at your captain's threat. Byakuya didn't react, but you could tell he took Ukitake's words seriously.

"I won't hurt her." He took your hand softly and you flushed following him.

You looked back giving Ukitake a reassuring look. "I'll be fine." you conveyed. He smiled softly with nod as you left.

Byakuya led you as you followed. His hand was still grasping yours. It took you a while to realize he was carrying you to his house. "H-He wouldn't try and make a move on me right!?!" All sorts of thoughts were running around in your head. 

 When the both of you got to his manor, you looked around in awe. He took you to the backyard that had a small little pond and some beautiful cherry blossom trees. You watched in awe. Byakuya released your hand and you turned to him in question.

"I wanted to speak to you in private." you gulped.

"O-Okay."

His eyes shifted. "I'm sorry I tried to make a move on you before. It was a moment of weakness on my part. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." His words sounded sincere. You could tell by the look on his face, he felt bad. He must have thought you were still scared.

"I know I should have apologized sooner but I seem to always convince myself otherwise. I know I said I would make you fall in love with me, but I don't want to risk making another mistake that pushes you away. If I am moving to fast for your liking, please let me know."

You felt like you were going to cry. You never knew Byakuya could be so, considerate. He was genuinely concerned he had done something to hurt you.

You smiled walking forward. "I...I'm already in love with you." you stated. His eyes widened slightly. "I guess, even after what happened I never really stopped. I-I was just so angry and scared but I...I've always loved you. I don't think I'll ever stop." you laughed as happy tears streamed down your cheeks. His eyes softened. His hand reached up wiping the droplets away.

"You are, a very special person (Y/N)-san. Please take care of me." you blinked in amazement.

"A-Are you asking me to-"

"Please be mine." he asked. Your eyes glimmered as you jumped forward hugging him happily.

"I'd love to!!" you yelled elated.

Byakuya smiled as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You were laughing as you held him tightly. "I love you!" you said.

" I love you too." he replied. You pulled back with a stunned expression.

"I love you (Y/N)-san." more tears cascading down your cheeks at his words. You sniffled with a smile.

"Damn I'm a mess." you laughed wiping your face. Byakuya removed your hands slowly. You looked up blushing at the loving look he directed at you. Byakuya leaned down pressing his lips to your own softly. You stood on your tippy toes, enjoying the feel of his lips on your own.

When you pulled back your entire face was red. Byakuya released a soft chuckle at the scene. You turned your head with pout.

"D-Don't laugh at me!" you said childishly. Byakuya smirked and a bead of sweat ran down your head. You backed up as he took steps forward. "W-What's with that look!" you squeaked when you back connected with the tree. He pinned you there.

"Am I moving too fast.." he asked tauntingly. You couldn't voice words. He leaned down, pressing a kiss to your neck. You bit your lip as you closed your eyes.

"K-Kuchiki-taicho.."

"If you don't tell me to stop then I won't know, so tell me (Y/N)-san." you groaned when he blew teasingly on your neck.

"D-Damn noble.." you thought as you let him have his way with you. He knew what he was doing. 

No way were you going to tell him to stop.
