Chapter 2

"Even those two know what they want." You looked off into the sky with another long sigh.

"I'm pathetic.." you mumbled.

"What's your deal?" you jolted in surprise at the man standing before you. The first thing that caught your eyes was the bright colored hair. You blinked. "W-Who are you?" you questioned. He was wearing a shinigami robe, but you were absolutely sure you'd never seen him before. You wouldn't have missed that hair. 

"Wait...that hair."

"I'm-"

"Kurosaki Ichigo." you interrupted in awe. He looked at you. "Yeah, I came with Rukia and the others but we kind of got separated when Kenpachi came after me. Crazy guy's always asking for a fight. " Ichigo had a deep frown on his face.

"Wow..you're so cool even Zaraki-taicho wants to fight you!!" Ichigo looked confused.

"It's so amazing that I actually get to meet you!!" you gushed invading his personal space. Ichigo took a step back as a bead of sweat ran down his head. 

"H-Hey could you maybe back up a little." you stood back with sparkling eyes. 

"Yes, of course." you said.

Ichigo stood there looking at you uneasily. "What did I get myself into, and who is this crazy chick." You just kept grinning. 

"This is great. He could be my sensei. Teach me everything I need to know to be like him."

"I want to be great like you, please teach me your ways!!" you pleaded. "I want to be your apprentice. " you stated. Ichigo's face paled. "What the hell! No way I'm not gonna be your teacher!!?" you lips quivered.

"Please Kurosaki-sama!"

"N-NO!!" he denied. "Dammit I'm going to find my own way back screw this!" He turned to leave but you clutched unto his leg. "W-Wait!!" He glared. "Let me go you weirdo!!"

"Please!" you whined, Ichigo shook his foot aggressively trying to get you off.

"Kurosaki." you froze at the familiar voice. When you looked up your face went blank. Of all the people you could have run into it had to be him.

"Byakuya! Thank god this crazy chick won't leave me alone. " You released Ichigo's leg standing up straight. 

"Good day Kuchiki-taicho." you said politely. He just glanced at you before turning back to Ichigo. Your eyes lowered. "I keep telling you to stop addressing me so disrespectfully Kurosaki." 

Ichigo didn't even take it seriously. "Can you just get me to Rukia."

Byakuya just wore that stoic expression, turning forward.

"Follow me." You just stood there as they moved to walk off. You played with your fingers, keeping your eyes low. You looked defeated. Ichigo chance a look, watching your crestfallen expression.

"Hey Kid." you looked up. "Just be yourself, you'll get stronger." He gave a small smile. You face lit up. "A-Alright! Thank you Kurosaki-sama!! " Ichigo turned back as he followed Byakuya.

You failed to notice the curious expression Byakuya wore as he left.

"One two three!!" you struck the tree with a small wave of energy from you zampaktou. 

"That was such a weak attempt." you thought lowering your hands. You had been at this for at least three hours. You were trying to channel energy into your blade. But no matter what you did it was always too weak. It only left a small dent in the three each time. You wiped the sweat from your brow dropping back on the ground. "I'm already exhausted." you were panting lightly as you took a small break.

"You've been working quite diligently this past month (Y/N)-san." Ukitake said with a small. He was sitting at the front of his room with a cup of tea as he watched you trained.

"I must say I'm impressed. " you smiled.

"Kurosaki-sama said if I just be myself I'll get stronger. So I just need to work a little harder."

Ukitake laughed. "You really look up to Ichigo I see. I'm glad he's the one you're inspired by. " you nodded.

"I hope I get as brave and strong like him someday." Ukitake took another sip of his drink.

"You will get strong, maybe even stronger than him. Who knows." Your eyes sparkled as you jumped back to your feet.

"Alright then I need to get to it!" Ukitake smiled. "I'm glad you've gotten some more confidence, you'll strive in your own special." He continued to watch sipping his tea.
