Chapter 9

AILINN

Class just ended and I got about two hours until I have to go to the fraternity to meet the new recruitments  and be presented as the new fraternity sweetheart. I got to my dorm room and I walked in and saw Stephanie doing what looks like homework.

"Hey girl" I said to her and she turned to me and smiled. She wasn't too happy when I told her I turned down the bid for the sorority we got recruited to but she understood the reason. I looked for the clothes that I was wearing to this thing which was a skirt and a crop top and some cute shoes. I quickly changed into them and checked the time.

I still have time to do my makeup and hair. I wasn't going to do too much since it's just a barbecue/ tour day. I already know the house inside and out though so I am only going to meet people and eat. Once I finished my hair and makeup i grabbed my things.

"I'm leaving" I told Stephanie and she said bye and I left the dorm. I walked to the Fraternity and saw hella people in the front and the backyard. I totally forgot they had a pool. I walked in the front yard and everybody began to great me.

"Where's brad" I asked one of the brothers.

"He's in the back yard I think" he said and I nodded . I walked to the backyard and there he was talking to Jason his best friend of course. I walked up to them and tapped them on the shoulder.

"Hi" I said and they both turned around and Jason instantly hugged me.

"Hey best friend" he said with a huge smile on his face and I could tell he's been drinking and its like three in the afternoon.

"Hey Pi Kappa Alpha Sweetheart "Brad said and he also pulled me in for a hug and I can smell the vodka off of him. I pulled away from him with a slight frown on my face but I'm not his girlfriend anymore so I really can't say anything. He grabbed a microphone that was by him and everybody looked at him.

"Everybody come to the back" he said loudly and a bunch of guys came to the backyard. I was literally the only girl here it's was kinda funny though.

"Okay so now that everybody is here I would like to present you our Pi Kappa Alpha Sweetheart Ailinn" he said into the microphone and everybody cheered I kinda just blushed. "You guys have to treat her as a sister with respect she's one of us" he said and everybody nodded. He walked away from the microphone and everybody did their own thing.

"Do you want a white claw" Brad asked me and I shook my head no.

"I have a flight later tonight" I told him and he nodded.

"I know I have now business asking you about this but how is it going with Jefnier" brad asked me and I kinda feel weird talking to him about it .

"He asked me for a second chance and I don't know what to do" I told him and he nodded understanding.

"I think you should give him a chance because I've heard how you talked about him but if he hurts you tell me and we will all beat his ass" he said and I smile at himself hugged him.

"Thank you" I told him and hugged me back.

"Let me show you your room where you will be staying next semester" he said and I nodded.( i think frat sweethearts don't actually stay in the frats but that's how it is in this story) . We walked into the house and up the stairs.

"Your room is next to mine but it's farther down the hall" he said as we walked in to the hall. He opened a door and it was a decently sized room with just one bed. It was bigger than my dorm and I'm guessing it's a big as brad room. "This is it" he said and I nodded.

"It's perfect" I told him and I checked the time. It was already 7 and I have to head over to the airport in about an hour. "Fuck I have to go" I said to him.

"Your flight right"he said and I nodded. "Want me to walk you to your room" he asked me and I shook my head no.

"No I'll be fine enjoy the party though" he said and he nodded. I said bye to him and everybody else and left the apartment.

I got to dorm and i noticed Stephanie wasn't there and I had to head out to the airport my Uber was on the way to pick me up. So instead of texting her I wrote her a quick note.

Stephanie,

Hey girl, so you weren't here when I got here from Brad's party and I'm headed to the airport. I thought I should let you know but I'll see you on Sunday night.

Love ya

I wrote the note and left it on her desk on top of her laptop. I got my things because I received a notification saying that my Uber was here and I left my dorm. I took the elevator down to the lobby and once it stopped I got off on the ground floor. I walked out of the elevator and quickly left the dorm building. I got into my Uber and he began to drive me to the airport which was about a twenty five minute drive from the university.

Brad: Let me know when you landed<3

The Uber came to a stop and I looked out the window and saw that we were already in front of the airport. I quickly thanked the Uber and got out of the car and walked in the airport. I checked in and got my airplane ticket and went through security check and stuff. Once that was all done I walked to my gate and I waited for my flight to board. I should probably send Jefnier a message telling him that i am at the airport.

Me: hey so I just got to my gate and I'm waiting to board I'll be there at 3am🙂

He texted back instantly

Jefnier:thank you for letting me know. I'll be there before you land❤️

I boarded the flight about 20 minutes after I received his text.

—————————————The flight had finally landed and I was happy I was finally on the ground again. It feels so good when you are walking around again and not squished in those small ass plane seats. I felt a sense of comfort when I got off the plane knowing that I was back in my home country. I truly did miss it a lot. I quickly texted Jefnier that I finally landed and he had told me he was waiting for me. As I walked through the airport I looked around for him for a few minutes and then I spotted him. He was wearing glasses and a hate nothing to crazy but enough to cover that he was a famous superstar.

I walked over to him and he noticed me instantly and almost ran to me. He pulled me in for a hug and I hugged him back of course.

"Hey" he said as he pulled away.

"Hi" I said to him smiling. He grabbed my small carry on suitcase and we walked out of the airport.

"Would you like to stay the night at my house since I know your mom is working right now" he said to me and I thought about it for a minute.

"Yeah that's would be amazing thank you" I told him and he shot me a smile. I'm guessing he was secretly hoping I would stay with him. "I missed it here so much" I said to him as I looked out the window and we passed the beach.

"I know you feel when I'm out of the country for a while I feel the same way when I come back" he said and I understood what he meant. I didn't exactly feel homesick over there but it felt weird being away for so long.

"Is it bad to say that I don't want to move back here though" I said to him truthfully. I don't miss it enough here to move back and to be honest I don't think I ever want to move back.

"The only reason I keep coming back is for my family and you" he said and I blushed. "But know that you don't live here and I saw how you were living your best life there at your university I been thinking of moving to Los Angeles" he said and I looked at him in a bit of shock. I honestly never thought I would hear does words come out of Jefniers mouth.

We stayed in a comfortable silence after that conversation until we pulled up to his house. He parked his car and we got off it. I looked at the house and realized I haven't been in this house in months since the day I grabbed my things and left. It feels weird to be honest with you. Because the last memory I had here was very painful. We walked in the house and he turned on the lights.

"You can take which ever room you like" he said and I nodded.

"I'll take the guest room next to yours" I told him and he nodded. I grabbed my suitcase and walked up the stairs and walked to the guest room and placed my things down. I use to keep some of my things here when I moved in but I never slept here. I changed into some shorts and a shirt and laid down on the bed.

————————————-couple hours later My alarm went off and I quickly turned it off. It was currently 8 in the morning and I've only had about 4 hours of sleep. I've gone through the day with less and hungover so I should be fine. I grabbed my clothes and a towel and walked into the bathroom. I took a quick 15 minute shower and change it by close of the day I did my hair and make up by the time I was done it was  nine thirty.

I put my dirty clothes in a plastic bag and into my suitcase. I did grab my suitcase and walked on the stairs and placed it by the front door and I noticed that Jefnier was already in the kitchen making breakfast I think.

"Goodmorning" I said to him and he turned and smiled. I'm guessing he just noticed me.

"Morning" he said cheerfully well someone is in a good mood. "I made us oatmeal" he said and i walked over to him. He handed me a bowl of oatmeal.

"Thank you" I said to him with a smile.

"There is fruit and stuff right over there" he said pointing to the fruit. I walked over to the fruit and put some strawberries and blueberries in my bowl. I walked to the table and sat down so did he after he prepared his bowl of oatmeal.

"Are you excited to see your mom.. well I mean of course you are but I mean like to surprise her" he asked me and i nodded.

"Yeah I feel I haven't talked to her in a minute because of the time difference and how she works nights and sleeps most of the days and I'm always in class" I told him and he nodded understanding. "When was the last tome you saw her" I asked him as I took a bite of my oatmeal.

"A couple weeks when I went over to my moms house she was there having coffee with her and stuff" he said to me and I nodded. When we were younger they use to meet up every single day to drink their daily morning coffee they would alternate houses.

"It was weird because they haven't done that in a while it's like when we use to be kids but ever since that day every time I've gone over or called her in the morning they are always together it's usually on your moms days off" he said and I nodded.

"I don't understand why she doesn't pick another shift my mom like a morning shift so she can have all day to her self. She's not watching me anymore or anything" I ranted to him. It really frustrated me that myMom was still working night shift because it's bad for her health.

——————————— a few hours after

"Are you ready" he asked me and I nodded. We walked out of his house and got into his car. We were driving to my house right now to surprise my mom even though she is my mom I'm a bit nervous.

"Hopefully she doesn't get mad that I didn't tell her I was coming" I told Jefnier nervously and he grabbed my hand reassuringly. Which caught me off guard a little.

"Sorry"he said and took it off. I wanted to tell him that it was fine but I couldn't bring myself to. After about a twenty minute drive we pulled up to my childhood home. I saw my moms car and I got excited. We got off the car and I grabbed my suitcase and almost ran inside. Well not really I ran to the door and knocked. The door opened and there I saw my mom who I missed dearly.

"Hi" I said and she instantly pulled me in for a hug.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming honey... I missed you so freaking much" she said almost crying. It almost made me emotional but I didn't tear up or anything.

"I missed you too and I wanted it to be a surprise" I told her and she let out a light laugh and we pulled apart.

"Hi Jefnier how are you" she said and they greeted eachother "and she pulled him in for a hug which he gladly returned. Everything went smoothly but Jefnier had to leave a few hours after for some meetings.
