XX: Reunion Before The End

You guys aren't going to like this chapter at all...

"Oh god [Y/n]..." Takemitchi and Chifuyu gasped in unison.

I couldn't move my muscles I was to shocked, I hadn't seen them since we met up and Sanzu threatened to shoot them. That was not my best moment and never got the opportunity to say sorry.

I turned back to face Ran, my face smothered in shock. "Why the hell are they here?" My voice was a mixture of happiness and confusion. I don't think I've ever been more excited to see two people.

"They're here to take you home. I called them yesterday and explained the situation." He paused with a blank expression, "You can't come back to Bonten, no way Mikey would ever let you. So you need to go with them and back to a normal life."

I could feel my lip begin to quiver and my hands tremble. I felt trapped for so long and wanted to be free, I wanted to wake up to a blue sky and a bright sun without bruises and broken bones. It was something I desperately wanted for so long.

I have many loose ends in Bonten and would never be able to clear them up, but that was okay.

I was given an opportunity by Ran to leave and be free, to go back to a normal life with people who love and care for me. Not people who watch me get beaten and stand on the sidelines.

It really had only been a couple months with Bonten, but it felt like a thousand years. And when you spend a thousand years with someone it's hard to let them go. But I had to, I had to let them go. It was time to let go of the past and start focusing on the future.

I turned on my heels quickly and ran to Chifuyu and Takemitchi, I wrapped them in my arms and squeezed them tight. They were warm, I felt my empty shell of a personality become whole again. In a way I no longer felt lost and broken.

I felt free. Freer than ever.

Their arms wrapped around me and we stayed in this group hug for a solid minute, after we released from each other's embarace Takemitchi began to cry. Like usual.

"Ah Takemitchi is crying, that's normal." I laughed.

Chifuyu began to sniffle too, "No it's not just Takemitchi, I'm crying too." Chifuyu cried, his eyes were red, and he was constantly sniffling.

"No why are you two crying, it's me [Y/n]. Nothings changed, I'm me and I always will be." It was obvious why they were crying but hopefully my words would reassure them.

The both looked at me with exasperated eyes, their eyebrows furrowing. "You're not the same [Y/n], your muscles are gone! You have bruises and cuts lining your body, you've been touched by a bunch of sick bastards!" Takemitchi shouted rather loudly, it shocked me.

"Don't forget the broken collar bone and the slits along your mouth! What kind of vile human being would do such a thing!?" Chifuyu added furiously, he held a hand over his eyes to shield his tears from the human eye.

They both had broken out into a full on sobbing mess, it sort of made me uncomfortable. But I understood why they were being like this.

I laughed nervously, hoping to change the atmosphere. "Guess Ran did give you the full scoop, huh?" You smiled helplessly.

I looked back at Ran to give him a thank you for everything, for setting me free and saving me from self destruction. But he was gone, his cigarette butts sat on the floor still partially lit. He must've left out of the back quietly while I was occupied with Chifuyu and Takemitchi.

God damn, the fool. I had so many things to say to him. First of all thank him, and then have a last baton hurrah maybe?

I'm kidding.

Well, I would remember his kind deeds in the end every single day.

I pulled the two into a hug once more to calm their crying, but I couldn't. I cried with them, I was finally free. I was finally able to breath again.

They drove me home, the entire car ride they asked me about my time and how much a suffered. I explained almost everything, I mostly left out the sexual stuff. Although they probably already knew, Ran and his big mouth probably told them about our time on the private jet.

I made sure to catch them both up on Mikey, they didn't seem surprised in the slightest. I also got them up to date and made sure to go into clear detail on Kokonoi and how he was there with me through everything.

Throughout the conversation I purposely forgot the parts that involved Fyodor Dostoevsky, I didn't want to bring that shit up again. That made me cringe internally.

When we got back to Shibuya, Chifuyu brought me to his pet shop downtown we're everyone was waiting for me. It made me collapse and cry, it was an overwhelming feeling that I would never forget. Ever.

I was finally free, I was back home and to the people I came here to originally see.

I would miss Sanzu with my whole heart, and I couldn't forget two great years with him. But I would forever be scarred by what he had done, yes I felt pity on him but his actions were out of pocket.

I would eventually heal and move on, some scars would fade and some would be permanent. I would rebuild my muscle and gain back my weight.

I would become me again.

The sun was high and the sky was a crystal blue, I left Chifuyu's apartment for the day to have a day for myself. Ever since I got back people were constantly with me and taking care of me. I mean it was nice, but it was a little to much.

My scars on my mouth healed and most of my bruises have faded, but the mental scars were still there. I often woke up to Chifuyu holding me down by my shoulders because I had been screaming and flailing in my sleep. I felt bad that he had to deal with it ever since he let me stay at his house.

I found myself at an all to familiar scene, a bag of steam buns in my hand and on the overpass over the highway. A place that I was in the beginning of this story.

The buildings were like an endless maze of chaos. Below on the highway, I could see all of the cars pass by. Some speed and some don't, some honk and swerve. It was crazy down there, after all it was rush hour. The busiest time of the day.

I placed my hands on the railings and leaned over with a smile on my face, the wind blew my hair all over that place and the earrings from my ears jingled. It was a beautiful day, a day I get to spend with just myself.

The sudden smell of smoke and alcohol brought me back to the present and I turned around, standing behind me was someone I thought I'd never see again. Someone that did terrible things to me. He seemed equally amused and surprised to see me, his usually bone chilling smirk spread across his face. It made my stomach uneasy.

Why now and why here? How did he even find me?

From what I heard from Chifuyu and Takemitchi my whereabouts were supposed to be completely secret from any members of Bonten due to the accident. It must've been a coincidence or he'd been looking for me everywhere. He looked like he got his shit rocked in a bar fight and drowned his sorrows in whiskey.

One thing was clear, the clear look of blood lust in his eyes. He was fuming with bloodlust, he was probably out looking to take a random victim and came across me.

"Sanzu-" My voice was shakey and I forced myself to cut off, I backed away slowly but he only seemed to follow. In a panic I accidentally dropped the bag of m'est buns that I didn't get the chance to eat. That fucking sucks.

His eyes flashed a cold blue shade, terror struck through me and I was immobile. He stood in front me only a couple of feet away with a gun pointed at my chest. His suit was ripped and tattered. I couldn't mutter out words, I slowly stepped back but he kept coming forward. I realized that he wouldn't leave, ever. This man would be the end of me, literally.

A shot rang through the air, and I felt metal perice and rip through my flesh. It was like no other pain I'd ever felt in my entire life. I screamed in pain and gripped the side of my abdomen, staggering back I ran into the rails almost toppling over them.

In mere seconds everything went black, all of my pain went away and I felt the air leave my lungs. I was never particularly scared of death, but I still weeping. I slumped against the bars in despair, I didn't know how to feel or what to do with myself. This was all to sudden and to much had happened, my heart began to ache. Why do these things always happen to me?

I knew Sanzu would regret this, after all we spent our teenage years together. He was utterly incapable of redemption but here I was weeping from the pain and for the dreadful man in front of me.

Death was coming and fast, I barely had time left. With my already weakened body, the bullet hole was already doing immense damage. The only thing I could say of with my last few breaths were words that hurt me, but would allow me to rest in piece.

"I forgive you Sanzu." My breath hitched and I was afraid that I'd never finish my sentence, "And- I w-will always love you."

The last thing I saw before I felt the life leave my body was the shocked, sick look on Sanzus face. A face filled with regret and sorrow. I heard his screams of despair and the sad sad sobs, I could feel his muscular hands shaking my cold body and his voice begging me to wake up.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I don't know why I did it!" He paused between sobs, "Please please please come back to me! I'll be a better man when we meet again! Please -wake up for me! Get up! Get up-" Everything went blank and quiet, I never heard or felt a single thing after that moment.

This was the end. He put an end to my pitiful existence and brought me demise.
