Secrets: Part 1

It was a long quiet ride home. I could tell Eric was was a little upset about that HBO shit that went down, but he tried to hide it. "You okay baby" I asked as I rubbed his thigh. He gave me a unsure look right before saying "I'm ight, we going out tonight tho". "Coo" I said turning to look out the window.

When we got home I went into our bedroom so I could change my clothes when I noticed a familiar black book slightly under my bed. I picked it up and felt a cold chill go over my body, it was my old picture book with me and my family back in Michigan.

I had to move out hella early, because money was tight, I only had $1,200 in my pocket when I moved to Cali. I eventually got a job and one night I met Eric and well...I didn't really like him. He would always flirt with me as I walked to the bus stop on my way to work. I finally decided to give him a chance and I ended up moving in with him.

I looked at the pictures of me in my mothers arms as we watching my favorite cartoons in black and white. I haven't spoken to her in almost two years, because of me being so angry about me having to leave, but I miss her. My heart began to melt and I smiled as tears began to fill my eyes. "What's that"? Eazy said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Its just my..... "Ringgggggg...ringgggg". The home phone interrupted. "I'll get it" I said closing my picture book. "Nah I got it" Eric said racing to the phone. "What the hell was that"? I thought to myself.
