Chapter 10: The Kiss

Back in the pride lands, Kion and the guard were inside the lair enjoying themselves peacefully. Bunga is on his back, looking up at the cave ceiling boringly.

"Gee, I'm bored!!" Said Bunga out of boredom.

"How can you be bored? you're always jumping around like a little cricket." Said Fuli, rolling her eyes smiling.

"Well, yeah but there's nothing to jump about! it's just so boring in here, you know what I'm gonna head outside later guys." Said Bunga as he hopped up off the cave floor, but before he could step outside rain poured down and the sound of thunder was heard in the distance.

"Or not...." Said Bunga groaning annoyingly.

"Bunga, why don't you just lay down with me since your so bored, maybe you can rest after all it has been a long day." Offered Kion, laughing a little.

"Sure I guess, it's the only thing to do in here anyway." Said Bunga, as he hopped on the rock where Kion was laying on, and curled up beside him.

MEANWHILE IN THE OUT LANDS....

"Okay, so here's the plan I'm  gonna trap Madoa, so that Jasiri will run and get Kion then after that, Kion is gonna come and that's when we'll capture him, got it?" Said Janja glancing at Badili.

"Got it, but uh what about the other hyenas? aren't they gonna help us?" Asked Badili shyly.

"Oh don't worry about them furbrains, we don't need them for this plan... HAHAHA!" Said Janja.

Jasiri and Madoa were playing with the cubs.

"They sure are cute! well, you keep on playing with them Jasiri, I'm gonna head to the watering hole and get some water, I'll be right back." Said Madoa, as she padded off towards the nearby watering hole.

When Madoa, came to drink she felt like someone was behind her so she ignored it, but then Janja jumped out from behind her, and startled her.

"J- Janja! what are you doing here!?" Said Madoa nervously.

"HAHAHA! well, well, well if it isn't the worthless hyena all alone, by herself." Said Janja walking around her in circles.

"What do you want Janja!?" Said Madoa furiously trying to escape from him.

"Well, since you're out here all alone, no one to defend you, then you're useless!" Said Janja as he launched at her knocking her down. Madoa tried to fight him, but she was too weak without Jasiri being there, she couldn't defend herself. Janja had trapped her.

Jasiri was getting worried, and suspicious why her sister wasn't back yet, so she decided to get her.

"Madoa? Madoa? where are you?" Said Jasiri noticing that she was no longer at the watering hole.

But then she saw Janja pinning Madoa down not letting her go. She panicked,  but she knew she had to tell Kion so she ran back to the pride lands.

Jasiri ran into the lair as fast as she could, when she got there she noticed everyone resting but she didn't care she  needed their help.

"Kion! Kion!" Said Jasiri waking everyone up.

Kion awoke by the sound of her voice and was alerted.

"Jasiri? what is it? what's wrong?" He asked standing up.

"It's it's my sister! Janja has trapped her and I don't know what to do! the cubs could be in danger too!" Said Jasiri panicking.

"Well, don't worry Janja can't do anything once I'm around." Said Kion hopping off his rock. He turned to face the guard.

"Guys, don't worry I can handle this Janja's hyenas aren't here today so I can do this okay?" Clarified Kion.

"Well, if you can handle it then that's fine with me." Said Beshte.

"Sure, I mean he is the fiercest and he did say that Cheesi and Chungu weren't there." Said Ono.

"Right, I'm pretty sure I can handle this." Said Kion confidently.

"Kion, just please be careful okay? I don't want you to get hurt." Said Fuli.

"Don't worry Fuli, I'll be fine Janja's not that tough when it comes to me." Said Kion reassuring her giving her a grin.

"Okay, I love you." Said Fuli before licking him on the cheek.

"I love you too." Said Kion.

"AWWWW!" Said Bunga jumping up watching them.

"Bunga!!" Complained Kion, as he playfully pushed him away.

"HEHE sorry!" Said Bunga shrugging at him.

"Okay well, Jasiri let's go!" Said Kion as   he ran towards the exit of the cave.

When they got to the out lands, Jasiri showed him where Janja was.

"UGH, JANJA LET MADOA GO!" Shouted Kion angrily.

"OH Kion! just the lion I wanted to see!" Said Janja.

"ENOUGH JANJA! LET MADOA GO!" Snarled Kion.

"HAHAHA! I don't think so, and just so you know I've got back up." Said Janja. Badili then came out and surprised Kion.

"Wait, B- BADILI?" Said Kion shockingly.

"Yep, that's right it's me." Said Badili grinning.

"YOU? why in the pride lands are you with JANJA!?" Said Kion glaring.

"Well, I had my reasons to besides you did take away Fuli from me." Scoffed Badili.

"So, you're on Janja's side just because I somehow stole Fuli from you!?" Said Kion ragingly.

"Yeah, I liked her from the start and then you just come and steal her! so now, I want revenge." Said Badili.

"I've known her even before you met her!" Said Kion vividly.

Badili growled and tried to attack Kion, but Kion dodged and he missed.

"What happened to you? this is not you Badili." Said Kion giving him a confused but sad look.

"What happened to me? What happened to me!? OH please how about we talk about what happened to YOU! I thought you were not like that Kion! I thought you were so nice and innocent to every animal in the pride lands, but no you treat me like dirt! did you have to threaten me!? no you  didn't. You totally crossed the line."  Said Badili growling angrily.

"I- I'm so sorry Badili, look I didn't mean to-"

"No, you know what? save it! I don't wanna hear it from you." Said Badili turning his head.

"Are you serious right now?! so now you want revenge on me, just because I threatened you!? Look, I can't help my actions sometimes okay!? It's not my fault. Sometimes I loose control, okay I totally lost it I admit it! But still that doesn't give you a reason to-"

"WOULD YOU GUYS BE QUIET FOR ONE SECOND!??" Yelled Jasiri.

Immediately the two were quiet.

"Ahh, that's better okay how about instead of all of this drama, we save MADOA?" Said Jasiri furiously glaring at the two of them.

"NO! I'm not letting you do anything! You've officially crossed the line Kion, and now it's time for my revenge." Said Badili blocking both of them from saving Madoa.

"Sorry, but we don't have time for this! GRRR!" Said Jasiri as she knocked Badili out of the way.

"Not so fast Jasiri! if you wanna save your sister, you gotta get through me first." Said Janja.

"No problem!" Said Jasiri smiling confidently then kicking Janja.

Kion then surrounded both of them, glaring at them.

"Madoa! are you okay?" Said Jasiri helping her up.

"Yes, I'm fine thank you, and you too Kion." Said Madoa smiling.

"Happy to help Madoa, thanks Jasiri." Said Kion smiling.

"Of course." Replied Jasiri, smiling back.

"Well, if you ever need me again you know who to come to, see ya Jasiri! bye Madoa!" Said Kion as he made his way back to the pride lands.

Kion headed back into the pride lands and back to the lair where the guard was.

"Hey guys, I'm back." Said Kion grinning at all of them.

"Heya Kion! how'd it go?" Said Bunga hopping off his rock.

"It was uh, interesting I guess but I handled it." Said Kion remembering when he was arguing with Badili.

"Oh thank goodness you're okay!" Said Fuli running up to him nuzzling him.

"Haha, yes I'm okay Fuli no need to worry." Said Kion nuzzling her back.

"I'm sorry, it's just that I always get worried something will happen to you." Said Fuli.

"Haha yeah, I know that's you alright. Hey, uh Fuli come with me." Said Kion nudging her with his shoulder for her to follow.

"Uh okay?" Said Fuli confusingly.

"Hey guys, we'll be right back let me know if anything happens okay?" Said Kion as he faced his friends.

"You got it Kion." Said Beshte.

Kion and Fuli arrived at Hakuna Matata Falls, the sound of the beautiful waterfall flowing gracefully.

"Okay, Kion so what did you want to talk about?" Asked Fuli, as she sat on the bank.

"Well, I needed to talk to you about it alone well because it's something I don't feel comfortable with telling the guard." Said Kion worryingly.

"Oh, then what is it?" Questioned Fuli.

"Well, you remember Badili right? the nice leopard we met?" Said Kion.

"Yeah... what about him?" Asked Fuli her eyes were full of curiosity.

"Well, he's joined Janja." Said Kion looking down at the ground.

"Wait, what?" Said Fuli raising an eyebrow.

"Yes I know it's very bad, me and him got in a fight.. and well he wants revenge on me.." Said Kion unhappily.

"What for??" Asked Fuli she suddenly stood up her ears perked back.

"For stealing you away from him, but I think he was the one trying to steal you away from me.. I thought he just wanted to be friends with you, but I guess not. Replied Kion.

"Are you serious? you didn't steal me from him! we're together! we've known each other longer." Said Fuli frustrated.

"I know, he's just a traitor I'm sorry but I don't think he's ever gonna change back." Said Kion sadly.

"Well, you know what if that's what he decides to do, then let him be it because I love you and I'm not gonna let him hurt you okay?" Said Fuli seriously.

"Yes I get it Fuli, you can protect me all you want but I-"

"Nope, don't say anything I'm protecting you whether you like it or not." Said Fuli cutting him off.

"But Fuli really I don't-"

"Shh." Said Fuli raising a paw to his muzzle.

"Ugh, okay fine." Said Kion rolling his eyes playfully.

"Ha, see I can make you do whatever I want." Said Fuli laughing.

"Oh really? well I can too." Said Kion.

"Prove it." She grinned.

He then knocked her onto her back, his paws gripped tight to her.

"Kion.. what the? why do you always do this?" She laughed.

"Maybe because I like messing with you." He teased her.

"Okay, this is more than teasing! Just let me up." She scoffed.

"You know what no, Im not gonna let you up this time you owe me something big time." Said Kion smirking.

"Like what?" Said Fuli

"I think we both know what." He smirked.

"No.. I don't think I do, whatever you're making me do you can't make me do it." She grinned.

"Well, looks like I already have." Said Kion laughing at her struggling.

"Okay, okay fine just this once but really what do you want?" Asked Fuli blushing.

"Hmm, that's actually pretty simple." Said Kion, still smirking.

Kion was blushing again. He had never really been so close to Fuli before except for the time he got angry at her. He wanted to kiss her, so badly he wanted to know the feeling of what it's like. But he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable at the same time, so he got off of her.

"Look, Fuli I don't want to put you in a situation you don't wanna be in, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable that's not my intentions at all." Said Kion looking her in the eyes seriously.

"No it's okay, you're not making me uncomfortable... Kion, just come closer." Said Fuli grinning.

He smirked doing as she told him. Kion couldn't help it anymore, he couldn't wait any longer he had to do it he couldn't let anything stop him now.

This is it, this is my chance... I can show her how much I really do love her. Kion thought.

At that same moment, his friends were standing right in front of them, but Kion didn't care he figured it was his only chance so he went for it.

Just do it Kion, this is your chance. Just...... go for it! He thought again.

Fuli saw them from the corner of her eye, she wanted to tell them that he was only being affectionate, so they wouldn't freak out, but before she could say anything, he did the most unexpected thing, he inched forward, and right at that moment... their muzzles locked together, and he had kissed her.

Their friends were shocked even Bunga, stood there wide eyed. It was the first time they had ever seen such a interaction from them.

Fuli was also shocked but she shrugged it off. The sensation of the kiss was so different...but amazing to her. She had never thought it would come to this in their relationship, but it had and she could tell he really knew what he was doing, because he didn't let go. She found herself kissing him back, and it was the weirdest thing ever but it was worth it.

Eventually they broke the kiss, and Fuli was stunned.

Kion then turned around and noticed his friends were watching the whole thing, he quickly backed away blushing nervously noticing that they had witnessed the scene.

"Unbungalievable..." Said Bunga still shocked.

"Uhhh how much did you see?" Asked Kion nervously.

"Uh, well the whole thing.." Replied Bunga still surprised.

"What?!?" Kion exclaimed.

He then turned back to Fuli, and she was still in shock, he snickered at her expression.

Fuli then regained back her focus and faced Kion.

"Gee, K- Kion wow.. I don't know what to say." Said Fuli astounded.

"Don't say anything, but you're right, not gonna lie that was one of the best experiences of my life." Said Kion smiling widely.

"Yeah, definitely." Said Fuli.

"Well, that was quite a show you two put on." Said Ono sarcastically.

"Poa, that was interesting." Said Beshte.

"Yeah...... interesting! EW!" Said Ono in disgust shaking his feathers.

He looked as if he was about to throw up.

"Guys! ugh, what were y'all doing here anyway?" Asked Kion annoyed.

"Well, we noticed that you two were taking a little too long so we decided to see what's up and then we came across well, you know..." Said Beshte.

"Yeah! but let me just say Kion, that was incredible! you two really must love each other huh??" Squealed Bunga excitedly.

"BUNGA!" Everyone said annoyed by his comment.

"What?" Said Bunga looking at them confused.

"Well, we appreciate you guys coming to check on us and everything but, can we have a minute please?" Pleaded Kion.

His friends nodded and walked back to the lair.

"Fuli, I'm sorry really I just couldn't help myself! I've been wanting to do that for well.. forever." Said Kion.

"Kion, it's okay! that was well amazing...." Said Fuli blushing.

"Yeah it was, maybe we should do it again some time." Said Kion smiling nervously.

The sun was now setting in the pridelands.

"Yeah, I would like that." Said Fuli.

BACK IN THE OUTLANDS...

"I can't believe you let him get away!" Said Badili glaring at Janja.

"I did? it was your job to keep him from escaping!" Said Janja.

"UGH you know what forget this, if your not gonna help me, then I guess I'll have to do it myself." Said Badili angrily as he stormed off back to the volcano.

What will happen to Kion?

Will Fuli protect him?

Will Kion get hurt?

Hey guys! so I hoped you enjoyed this chapter. Sorry it took so long to come out, I just now got out for Thanskgiving break this Friday so I have way more time to upload chapters yay! Anyways, the moment y'all all have been waiting for the kiss yep did it. At first, I didn't know if I should do it considering it might not be realistic to the Lion Guard, but you know what screw it.
