Chapter 7: Stay With Me

Kion and the rest of the guard came running back to the pride lands sweating from the scorching heat that came upon them.

They then came across the spot where Fuli was, but she was gone.

"Uh guys, you don't think Fuli ran off did she?" Asked Kion worryingly.

"I don't think so, I thought you told her to stay here." Replied Beshte looking confused at the empty spot.

"I did, maybe she just went to get water?" Said Kion glancing around for any sight of water.

"But there's hardly any water in the pride lands during the dry season, so maybe she went hunting?" Said Beshte examining the pride lands.

"I don't know, guys stay here I'll go look for her." Said Kion as he ran off searching for Fuli.

"Fuli, where are you?" Asked Kion walking across the tall dead grass, looking up for any sight of the cheetah.

But Fuli was inside the cave up at pride rock, and she was hiding from her friends, and Kion.

Kion then guessed that she went up to pride rock, to the cave since she likes to hang out in there.

"Fuli? hello are you in here?" Asked Kion peeking inside the cave to see her curled up into a ball, sound asleep. Fuli acted like she didn't hear him, but she couldn't block out the sound.

"Fuli, what in the pride lands? what are you doing in here? I told you to-"

"I know, I know you told me to stay right? well you were taking too long so I went to see if you were okay, and I see you were pretty occupied down there." Said Fuli cutting him off angrily.

Kion was surprised by the anger in her eyes. He hated to see her angry, and it made him feel sad.

"Fuli, what are you talking about? what do you mean occupied?" Asked Kion confusingly his ears perked back he felt guilty.

"Oh what so you're telling me you don't know?" Said Fuli sarcastically.

"No? Fuli, what's going on?" Asked Kion confused.

"You don't know? you and Jasiri I saw y'all down there together...." Said Fuli sadly, looking down at the ground.

"Fuli, she's just a friend! is this what you're worried about? me not loving you?" Asked Kion frustratingly.

"What! no... of course not...." Replied Fuli trying to deny what he said.

"It is, isn't it?" Asked Kion an eyebrow raised at her.

Fuli sighed.

"Fine, okay yes you're right I am it's just-"

"So you think I don't love you?" Asked Kion furiously.

"No! I mean, I don't know!" Replied Fuli glaring back at him. She then walked out of the cave to face him.

Kion then pinned Fuli down glaring from above her.

Fuli was looking up at his face, she was scared that he was going to hurt her.

This is so awkward...... Kion.... please don't hurt me......She thought.

"If I didn't love you, would I be doing this?!" Asked Kion enragingly.

He then went in planting licks on her neck, aggressively. Kion had to prove his point to Fuli somehow. Fuli was was feeling uncomfortable but she wanted to see where he was going. The butterflies she once felt were coming back to her again, she had to stop him, she was embarrassed.

"Kion.... what are you doing? Please stop... I don't like where this is going." Admitted Fuli.

Deep inside she loved what he was doing, but she couldn't stop herself from falling into total shock when he did that to her.

"Why do you want me to stop?" Asked Kion still on top of her his glare suddenly turned to a smirk.

"Just please... I can't take it." Said Fuli trying to lift him off of her.

"You can't take anything Fuli, first water now me? Hahahahahaha!" Burst out Kion laughing he then hopped off of her, she shot a glare at him.

"Cmon Fuli you have to admit, you liked it right?" Asked Kion still smirking at her, making her smirk back at him.

"Well, it wasn't too bad..." Replied Fuli their eyes locked together.

"Look Fuli, I don't want you to think that I don't love you because I do I would never break your heart because I love and care about you too much to ever do that okay?" Clarified Kion.

"Oh...." Replied Fuli, feeling bad about blaming him.

"Will you please stay with me?" Pleaded Kion.

"Of course I will Kion why wouldn't I?" Replied Fuli smiling and nuzzling him.

"Thanks love." Said Kion nuzzling her back.

"Anytime." Replied Fuli.

"Well, I would stay here with you but we're on patrol now so we need to go." Said Kion looking ahead at the lair.

After a long day of patrolling the Guard were worn out.

They then headed back to the lair and went to sleep for the night. Kion and Fuli were sleeping together so peacefully and calm, until Kion heard footsteps outside the lair that woke him.

He quietly exited the lair slowly being careful not to wake Fuli up.

"WHO'S THERE!?" Exclaimed Kion searching for anyone outside the lair.

He heard more footsteps and made his way toward the sound.

"I MEAN IT! SHOW YOURSELF WHOEVER YOU ARE!" Shouted Kion.

He then came across Jasiri who appeared behind the lair.

"Jasiri?" Said Kion confused why she was there.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you really!" Said Jasiri as she walked by to face Kion.

"Jasiri, what are you doing out here?" Asked Kion angry that she woke him up.

"Sorry, it's just that I wanted to see you again." Replied Jasiri looking down at the ground then back at him.

"Well, I can't I'm busy." Said Kion. He didn't want to hang around Jasiri because he couldn't risk loosing his relationship with Fuli.

"Oh... I understand see you around.." Said Jasiri sadly she walked back to the outlands, and Kion headed back into the lair.

Fuli was half awake, with one eye open Kion came and layed down beside her.

"Who were you talking to?" Asked Fuli drowsily.

Shit. Thought Kion, he didn't want her to think anything, so he made up a lie.

"No one Fuli, it was no one at all." Replied Kion. "Just go back to sleep Fuli." Said Kion licking her head, wrapping his tail around her.

The next day Fuli and Kion laid with each other the rest of the day on a rock. Fuli kept having nightmares so Kion was there to comfort her. The rest of the guard took a break for the day, and to their surprise there was no trouble.

"Well guys, looks like there's gonna be no trouble today." Said Kion smiling at them then at Fuli.

"Zuka Zama! Greattt!" Exclaimed Bunga.

"Let's just hope it stays that way." Said Kion confidently.

"Yeah, I'd like it like that." Said Fuli smiling at Kion.

"Me too." Replied Kion smiling back at her.

Will there be any trouble that they don't know about?
