17. One last time

I saw kai's body on the floor i rushed over and started to cry.

"no no please" i stated crying harder and isaac hugged me from behind

"i'm sorry sarah"

"this is my fault i should've stayed" i cried harder

"no it's not sarah it probably would've happened anyway"

"not helping isaac" i got up

"what are you doing"

"kill damon he's obviously the one who did it"

"sarah stop you aren't a killer"

"what am i supposed to do then?"

"you're gonna do the right thing like you always do" he smiled

"help them"

"exactly because we both know you wouldn't be able to kill him even if you tried to"

"yeah i know let's go"

"where?"

"the spell kai used on elena if i get the spell i can help them reverse it"

"see you're too good"

"what ever" i wiped my tears

The entire drive i was crying i couldn't help but feel it was my fault even if i had stayed, maybe if i hadn't have left and saw isaac i would have been with him he would've listened to me earlier.

"okay we're here i'll go get the spell just stay here" i shut the door and went up to the apartment

I walked in the bedroom and saw one of kai's shirts i picked it up and started to cry again.

"you good?" isaac said from behind me

"i thought i told you to stay outside"

"you did and i was going to then i realized this is gonna be hard for you"

"i'm fine" i started looking for the spell

"no you're not sar and it's fine you cared about him"

"i'm fine" i picked up the spell and held it up "got it let's go"

"wait you know we've known each other for a long time i know when you're lying and i know when you are sad"

"fine i cared about him and i just want to break down and kill damon is that what you want to hear?"

"i want you to let me in let me be there for you you used to tell me everything"

"and then i died and changed"

"but i'm here you can talk to me just let it out sar"

"i can't if i even begin to talk about it i'm going to break down and i'm afraid that i'll never be okay again"

"if you don't let it out you'll break anyway i just won't be there to help"

i started to cry and he walked to me and hugged me.

"it's okay it's all gonna be okay just let it" he hugged me tightly

"i really cared about him" i cried harder

"i know"

I ended up falling asleep i woke up the next morning i didn't see isaac i got up and walked in the other room where i saw him sleeping on the couch i had really missed him and the others.

"isaac" i said walking to him

"hmm"

"we got to go come on"

"alright five more minutes"

"no come on you can sleep on the way back"

"back?"

"to beacon hills get up"

"alright i'm up" he sat up "where are we going?"

"give the spell to stefan and damon come on"

i walked away we drove to the hospital i didn't see the others i assumed the had to be at stefan and damon's house. we finally got there i knocked on the door.

"sarah what are you doing here" stefan said with a harsh tone

"sarah?" damon said and sped over grabbing my neck and pushing me against the wall

stefan pulled him off i fell to the ground holding my neck stefan helped me up

"you okay?"

"yeah i'm fine"

"come on we can talk in the other room" we went up to his room

"what did you need?"

"i came to tell you two things"

"really?"

"yeah first here" i gave him the spell

"what's this?"

"the spell kai used as much as i want to kill damon for killing him giving you the spell helping elena its the right thing to do"

"thank you"

"yeah and second i'm leaving going back home my friend isaac is waiting outside"

"your leaving for good?"

"i'm not sure probably but uhm if you ever need anything or if the spell doesn't work call me i'll be here"

"thanks you didn't have to do this"

"yeah i did"

i went to leave but stefan stopped me

"theirs a way you can see him"

"what?"

"you can't bring him back but you can see him one last time"

"how?"

"bonnie can help you give you the spell you have to be somewhere he was and have something of his"

i hugged him "thank you stefan i really appreciate it"

"yeah oh and i don't have your phone number" he laughed

"right uhm" i looked in my pocket "uhm here" i handed him a piece of paper "it's my number" i smiled

"thanks see you around"

"yeah" i walked down stairs with stefan

"came to hurt someone else?" damon shot me a look

"damon stop she gave me the spell to help elena" stefan jumped in

"what?" bonnie came from the conner

"yeah"

"she needs something bon"

"what?"

"a spell to see kai"

"no way"

"bonnie please i told her she'd be able to see him one last time it's the least we can do"

"fine come with me" she walked away

I walked out side and got in the car.

"well?" isaac looked at me

"they got the spell and my number in case it doesn't work"

"okay so we're good we're going home"

"well one stop but yes"

"stop where?"

"the apartment i need to do a spell"

"alright"

"that's it no question"

"no i trust you"

"okay"

I got to the apartment and grabbed one of kai's shirts.

"okay now i have to ask what are you doing?"

"i can see kai one more time"

"oh yeah okay well i should stay just in case something happens?" he said with a question

"i mean theirs nothing you'd be able to do"

"ouch"

"not that way if something was to go wrong only a witch would be able to help"

"alright well i'll stay anyway"

"alright" i laughed "well here goes nothing" i stared the spell and fell to the ground

"sarah god i really hope that was supposed to happen"
