The Calm Before the Storm

Third personDays have passed since the incident. Marinette has been training non stop and has been honing her skills including transforming into a werewolf just incase. The government, aka Lila, has been moving the awareness to other countries around the world cornering the group so that they'll have no where else to run. Marinette can also sense where Lila is and the way she feels as she is now apart of her after absorbing her previous powers.

But that didn't stop the b*tch from continuing her plans. She wanted them dead, but most of all...she wanted Marinette gone permanently. London has been quiet after the incident. Talia shared her reports on what had happened and so this seemed very surprising. The inhibitor collars are now being sold by the government to the people in order to protect themselves from the supernaturals.

Everyday now the sky would be dark, dim, cloudy, thunder rolling but no rain. But this is just the calm before the storm. Every night, Marinette would always look out into the distance, waiting for the coming danger to hit. She knew Lila was planning something and she knew it was only a matter of time..before she has to fight her and in doing so, her life will be over. Her final breath will be decided on that day. ~~~~~~~~~~

But I can't let that happen. The sky was dark, black and grey clouds, no sun to be seen, winds and thunder shifting away the calm bringing the storm into view. But if I want all this to end, you need to go.

Marinette: Hey...girls...todays the day. I can feel it.

Kagami: So, this is where it all ends, huh?

Juleka: I've been waiting for this moment since the day I accepted this job.

Rose: I can finally see smiles on everyone's faces after we're done.

Zoe: But do you think..they'll except us after all this..?

Alix: I hope so, they should be on their knees throwing parties in our names for saving their a**es from that b*tch.

Alya: But you don't seem all that happy, gurl. What's up?

Marinette: I may not be able to...live through it till the end... This is where my cycle may end.

Milene: No! You can't seriously think that, Marinette!!

Chloe: Dupain, even I know that that's not true and with you gone who else am I supposed to annoy!?

Bridgette: They all have a point Mari-bug!! You can't be serious! Is this because of your mom!?

Marinette: No...I'm just stating the facts! I'm going up against a crazed devil with my powers..not to mention her entire army. This isn't going to be easy.

Sabine: Nothing in life is easy, Marinette, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

Marinette: Mo..- What are you doing here!?

Marin: Easy tiger, we're here to help.

Bridgette: Sorry Mari-bug, But I called them. The more people we have on the field the better. Plus, my mom will be tagging along too.

Sabine: We don't want to do this either but we don't have a choice.

Marinette: If you both die, don't blame me.

Marin: We won't, we'll blame Bridgette for calling.

Bridgette: Hey!

LilaToday is the day when Mari-sl*t dies and I avenge my parents' deaths. The air has never smelt sweeter. After she dies, nothing else will matter other than the fact that I am the new vampire warrior and others will obey me. After she goes, I can bring them back to life with the powers I have. My forces were assembled and they all had their orders. But a few of them sadly rebelled after the black kitty betrayed me.

These flies are nothing but a group of pawns. Their lives mean nothing to me. I got up from my throne and met with them, the time is now!

Lila: My pawns, today is the day we claim the earth. We will wipe out the race of humans and finally as the cherry on top of the blood tart, the vampire warrior's reign will cease to exist. After that, life eternal will be ours, any wish shall be granted, it'll all be the way it should. You were given your orders! They begin now!!

Third personLightning shot down from the sky piercing the ground, red and purple bolts tearing up the buildings and anything in its path. The ground crumbled beneath their feet, the plates shifting, earthquakes echoed everywhere. Lava spilled from the cracks onto the surface, screams of terror were heard throughout the city. The team was in the briefing room making sure their plan was ready.

Marinette: We're good to go?

Bruce: Seems like it..-

Harley: Not quite, kiddies.

Selina: What are you..-

Ivy: We're here to help. We quit the League.

Charlie: Why?

Harley: Because the big bossy lady kept telling us what to do. She killed a few of us and that's what hurt the most, it was like a sun-blade through the heart, dearie.

Ivy: You have our support...and theirs. *points*

They all exited and walked outside to see the Injustice League with the exception of the Joker, plus the Suicide squad in the waiting area outside.

Alya: Woah..-

Marc: That's a lot of villains.

Damian: Are you sure you can trust them, Angel?

Marinette: We don't have much of a choice in the matter, and time is of the essence. Fellow villains standing before us. I don't know why or know what personal reason you may have for joining us but let me say this. I respect you now as we are of late..comrades. We've heard about what Lila does when she 'despises' someone in her little organization. That may be reason as to why you're probably siding with us. But I'm not Lila but let me say this. Today, we all might end up dying, including me. But what's important is that we save the planet and the people that reside here. Thank you all for doing this, you're all so brave. Here's the plan, with our increase in numbers we can spread out and fan out the entire earth's population. Suicide squad, you have North and South America. Injustice League, you have Africa and Australia. Squad C and A, you have north and south poles. Batfamily, Selina, Mr. Charlie/The government and...my family, you have Asia. My squad and F has Europe. Good luck, everyone, stay safe.

They all went their separate ways, teleporting to their assigned locations. Squad F went off first before squad M did. She kept staring out into the distance. Marinette, you have all of us to help, do not fear. A voice kept saying in her head, she smiled as she saw Master Fu standing in front of her along with the past ladybugs. Damian stood next to her with a smile, "Ready?" He asked grinning. "Born that way." she replied. ~~~~~~~~~~

The surroundings were fierce. The other villains were seen around the city along with the the intervention of the team. Marinette reminded them that the most important thing was the people's safety. North America and Australia were covered and secured, the bad guys...dead. The North Pole was also secured, no villain survivors. Many of the people questioned them and were reluctant to be saved by supernaturals but the team helped them anyway.

Only half of Asia was saved, the other half proved troublesome. Sabine and Marin were hurt but were soon saved when Jerry joined and lent them his help. Europe was underway. The two squads split up and were told to meet back in London. Marinette scanned the city when she heard a voice a flew blocks away. She flew right over and saw a little girl standing there with no adults. The building behind her began to collapse.

A mother figure was calling out to a girl. Marinette zipped right over and shielded the little girl as the building was now over them. She used her telekinesis to hold the building up but still suffered an injury as a line of blood streamed down her forehead. Her telekinesis created a little barrier around them inside the building. The girl was trembling as she saw Marinette and was frightened of being crushed.

Marinette: It's ok, kid, I'm gonna get you out and back to your mother. Don't worry, I promise. What's your name?

Emma: ...E-Emma...

Marinette: *smiles* That's a beautiful name. I'm Marinette.

Marinette engage a conversation with the girl as she continued to clear a way out of the building. Emma claimed that she was afraid of vampires and that she saw Marinette on the news, though she said that when she was little, a werewolf saved her and her mother from a car accident so she liked them. Marinette transformed into a werewolf as they were nearing the end. The little girl gripped the fur tighter.

They were out, Marinette transformed back to her usual form to see a lady who looked like her waiting there with tears in her eyes. Marinette rested her back down and she ran towards the woman. "Mummy!" she yelled. Marinette smiled as she had always longed for that relationship with her mother. She turned around sighing but the lady grabbed her hand. "Thank you for saving my baby. The government was wrong about you."

Marinette's eyes widened at her statement. She nodded and went back into the battle. I can feel you Lila. You're near. And you're pissed. Don't worry, you'll have what you want.
