Chapter TwentyHow long can I last?

~Anna's Pov~

Just as I know. We lost.

~Nobody's Pov~

"There were a lot of complicated parts I didn't get, but I at least understood that. And yet we lost..."

"Yep, you lose."

All of the Vongola looked at Byakuran.

"It's too bad,  Sho-chan, considering how well you know me."

"Byakuran!"

"In the end, you couldn't defeat me in any world. Time to keep your promise. I'll be taking all of the Vongola Rings. How should I deal with the rest of you?"

I should get ready...

Anna looked sadly at them but quickly changed her expression into a serious one.

"Hold on! You also promised us something. When we played Choice for the last time in college, and I won. But you had no means to pay, so you said: "The next time we play Choice, I'll give you the handicap of naming any condition you want.". I'm going to hold you to your word! I request a Choice rematch!"

"Hmm, sorry. I don't remember that ever happening."

"You're lying! You would never forget about a contest!"

"Sounds too convenient."

"But a promise is a promise! You used to be honest when it came to Choice!"

"I'm telling you that it never happened. Can't agree to something that never happened. As the Millefiore boss, I formally refuse."

"As boss of Millefiore's Black Spell...I hold half of the authority to decide."

"There's another boss? What's going on?!"

"Eh?! You know her, Reborn?!"

"Haha." They turned to look at Byakuran again.

"You've got me. Man, this is a surprise. You look so much better. I see that you've recovered Yuni-chan."

"Was she sick?"

"No. Her soul was broken by Byakuran-san."

"H-her soul?!"

"Don't make me sound so bad, Sho-chan. I knew Yuni-chan was a scaredy-cat, so I wanted to help calm her down."

"No. When you met with Yuni before the Giglionero Family became Black Spell, you destroyed her emotions so you would have control over Black Spell!"

"Destroyed her emotions?!"

"So she wouldn't be able to move or talk on her own?"

"That's horrible..."

"Isn't that right, Yuni-san?"

"N-no way..."

"That's too much."

"How awful."

"It's fine. My soul was hiding somewhere far during that time, so I was safe."

"Somewhere far?"

"Byakuran, it appears that I can travel to other worlds, just like you."

"E-eh?"

"Back to the topic at hand. As the boss of Millefiore's Black Spell, I approve of a rematch with the Vongola."

Everyone could only stare in shock at her.

"Because that promise... That promise between Byakuran and Irie-san regarding a rematch was actually made."

"How would you know?!" said the girl from the Funerals Wreaths.

"I'm glad that you're healthy now, but Yuni-chan, you don't have the right to interfere with my decision. I might consult with you when I'm not sure, but you're just number two. I hold the ultimate authority in making decisions."

"I understand. Then I withdraw from the Millefiore Family. Tsunayoshi Sawada-san, I have a favor to ask."

"Huh?! A-a favor?"

"Please...Please protect me."

"What?! P-protect you? But you're the boss of Black Spell!"

"Not only me, but the pacifiers of my comrades too."

"Those are the Arcobaleno's?!"

"Oh? You can't take those out without permission, Yuni-chan. Those are part of my Trinisette collection."

"You're wrong. These were left in my care. And they wouldn't be considered your possession. That is because..."

She closed her eyes and after a little while, the pacifiers started glowing.

"Soulless pacifiers will never reveal the meaning of their existence."

"They're able to glow so brightly?"

"W-what's going on?!"

"I see. So that's how it is. You're amazing, Yuni-chan. I definitely need you. Come, let's make up, Yuni-chan."

"Stay away! We can no longer leave our souls with you!"

"What kind of nonsense are you saying? If you're going to take that and run, I'll chase you to the end of the earth and take it back. Let's return now. Come back to me."

A bullet hit Byakuran making him stop in his tracks.

"Uncle!"

Yuni rushed next to her uncle while Byakuran was standing still.

"Don't push your luck, Byakuran. I don't give a damn about who you are. If you lay a finger on the Arcobaleno boss, I won't stay quiet."

"Playing the knight in shining armor, strongest of babies, Arcobaleno Reborn?"

Three of the funeral started attacking but was quickly blocked by Hibari and Squalo.

"Byakuran, I know why you want me. And that is why... I can never return to you."

"Then the Vongola Rings belong to us. I have no intention of handing such a weapon to the ones protecting you. Though your prince on a white horse seems terrified by your request."

"The Vongola Rings do not belong to you, Byakuran."

"The pacifiers belong to the Arcobaleno. The Vongola Rings belong to the Vongola Family. That is a fact! Your Choice battle is invalid!"

"I-invalid?!"

"You don't need to hand over the Vongola Rings!"

"The rest is up to you, Tsuna. Yuni asked you to protect her. What are you going to do?"

"Come with us! Join us! Everyone! We're going to protect her!"

Anna smiled brightly at him.

Finally... He said it.

"Thank you very much!"

"I won't let that happen."

"Lord Byakuran, give us permission to attack and take Lady Yuni back."

"Sure."

The mist guardian from Millefiore came forward.

"Sorry, but you won't be able to touch any of them."

All of them looked as Anna came in front of them.

"What are you talking about Anna-chan?"

"Hiro! Keep Tsuna safe!"

"Wha-" but before anyone could ask what they were engulfed in black flames. Anna's gaze lingered where they were before turning to look at them.

"That wasn't nice Anna-chan."

Byakuran's guardian inserted their rings with flames into their boxes, which were in their chests. They all release their true form.

All of them were on guard. The fact that they managed to kill her in this time was a pure coincidence. That says just how powerful she is.

The first one to attack was Bluebell, his rain guardian. Using her rain flames, she created a barrier around Anna, immobilizing her. Zakuro, the storm guardian, and Deisy, the sun guardian attacked Anna simultaneously. Anna watched them as they come towards her.

Anna closed her eyes before opening them again. Now instead of brown eyes, her eyes were a bright red. She sends a huge wave of her Sky flames, destroying the barrier and sending the two guardians backward.

She looked at each one of them before she vanished from their view. She appeared behind Torikabuto, the mist guardian. She kicked him sending him to the ground.

She was flying but there was no flame supporting her. She looked down at them and waited to see what they will do next.

"Ne, ne, Anna-chan. Why don't we stop this useless fight? Join me and we will control the world together, besides... It seems like your flames are weaker for some reason."

Anna looked at him before bursting into a laugh.

"I thought you were smarter than that! But it doesn't matter even if my flames are weaker. It's still enough to defeat you."

Or at least keep them away from Tsuna and the others for a while...

Kikyo, the cloud guardian, summoned two big vines from the ground and captured Anna. The vines kept tightening around Anna, yet she didn't make a sound. Anna just looked down at them, making Kikyo mad.

"Why are you so silent?! Shouldn't you be screaming?!"

"Who? Me?"

"It's going to take more than that to hurt her, Kyo-chan."

Anna engulfed the vines with her flames, taking control of the vines. Using the vines she captured Bluebell and Deisy. She was about to kick one of them but a sudden pain came through her body stopping her.

She quickly landed on the ground before grabbing her chest. She fell to her knees and started coughing blood.

"W-what the..."

She felt a big amount of flames coming from the air. She looked upwards only to Zakuro getting ready to attack her. He released the storm flames towards her.

Anna smiled softly.

"I've done my job. Now it's your turn Tsuna."
